  1. I have a friend that works in new milford ct and has been treated like crap from her manager. she called hr and was told they can’t retaliate against her and guess what, she lied. tractor supply should be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen to employees. I have been in the corporate world for many years and know how the system works and will be watching on how this plays out. if need be we will seek the advice from my attorney on this matter. hope this gets to someone that can take care of unfair employee relations, lack of training, managers falsifying payroll and changing dates on them to name a few.

    2. My son who is a senior in high school is currently going through the same thing. Every time he makes a mistake one manager in particular threatens him with his job. I am going to talk to the head manager and if I don't get action I will contact legal counsel.

    3. Every employee has gone through the same thing since the Columbia, MO store opened about 4 years ago. This is terrible and I may find myself shopping for their competitor now.

  2. We recently moved up to Michigan and was in need of several items for te winter, one of them being a log splitter. Well after 7 trips back and forth to a TSC which is 100 miles round trip with a non-working splitter and the cost of gas and a $60 bill for a oil change for the splitter, I was told by a District Manager that it was "the cost of doing business" Well I need several more things for winter but I will not be doing my business with TSC I will bring my business to where they treat the customer with more respect like Farm and Family..

  3. When a farm supply store cannot keep feed for farm animals there is a problem. Some animals cannot have the feed changed overnight. There has been numerous times and products I have needed from this company and the supply is always out. Always.. I don't get it. I had to go 35 miles today to get feed because my store was out of their own line of feed. I can go to the horse speciality store and some things are cheaper.Unbelieveable..... Who do you think lives in rural America!!! FARMERS with herds!!! I am done with TSC! DALLAS,GA.

  4. I went to the NEW LOCAL DEFUNIAK SPRINGS FL store fully intending on purchasing a rototiller that was advertised in the TSC circular. In front of the main doors were racks of dead garden plants. Once inside, I asked the clerk if the plants were for sale or if they were giving them away & I mentioned that water might revive them...her reply, "Yeah, they're for sale & I'll water them when I get around to it." When I asked the same clerk for info on the rotillers on sale, she told me to get a circular & see if the display models were the ones on sale. RUDE..RUDE..RUDE...The floors & ladies bathroom were filthy...No clerks available to inquire prices of dog food...shelves were not clearly marked with prices. Needless to say, I will not be going back to the DFS FL TSC ever again...It seems to me a serious change in MANAGER & CLERKS is severely needed...WHAT A SHAME & THIS IS A BRAND NEW TSC STORE!!! I will go back to the Crestview Fl store where I am treated with respect -OR- maybe I'll just go to LOWES, ACE or ANYWHERE BUT THE DFS FL LOCATION!!! SHAME, SHAME ON YOU....

  8. Went to Tractor Supply in Burlington, NC. The worst customer service ever! This store had no feed for chickens, no Equimax horse wormer that has BEEN on sale. They have been ot of it for 1 month!! Cashier was extremely rude when a customer spilled their coffee. She said, "I don't do spills". She would not even help the customer. Will never do business there again!

  9. I do like having TRS next to my home but the constant over use of an outdoor pa system is getting out of hand. I have tried to voice my opinion on this but I guess they can't hear me since the pa is so loud. The Blairstown N.J. store is located adj. to a residential area which is also located in a small valley this cause the pa system to increase in volume. Some one should let them know there is a great invention known as a radio. Oh well I guess I no longer have to buy bird seed from them since I can't hear the birds anyway.

  10. As a viet nam veteran and prowd American I cannot believe how a company can treat its employees the way it does. The Ardmore OK. store was in process of changing Managers. The old manager(Rick Stone) was transferring to another store and a new manager(Scott) was taking over along with his newly hired asst. mgr. I was literally driven to being a complete cripple in less than three months with NO OFFERS to ever see a Dr. about my physical complaints. All of this right in front of the District Manager (David, I think). I have no reason to lie to anyone as all of my private Dr. records are available upon request as well as current and previous MRI's. My Dr. is extremely concerned about my ever failing health and my wifes insurance is having to totally foot the bills from what should be a Tractor Supply related issue. Is this a far reaching problem with TSC and its employees that may require public scrutiny or merely the actions of an overzealous store manager trampling of an employees rights?
I haven't really expected much from the previous emails. Nor do I really expect much on the corporate level either. Maybe a human interest story on the nightly news might be next.

    1. I was treated the same way, was hired with a permanent partial disability then threatened with termination every time I told them I was not supposed to do something. When I had a 40# box of bolts knocked over onto my head and injured my neck, I begged for 3 days before they would send me to the doctor. Then they refused to pay the bills. Get a workman's comp lawyer and fast. Post his contact and I will back you up.

  11. My grandmother was scammed out of 18,000$ from the tractor suppy in knightdate. The guy whom sold her a small tractor aut to be fired and put in jail. Leing, scamming and being untruthful is WRONG. Worst man ever. Never ever told her of the problems that would come with the equipment or the fact that she would have to loose $6000 if she returned the tractor. LIED about it all. Over 3 days, I have returned their call 26 times since, left 11 voice mails and even sent 3 emails with no response. I really don't think they know what customer service is all about.

  14. As, shopping a TSC for many of years when it comes to clothes, animal feed, chainsaws etc. It was always a stop at TSC so, recently My husband and I seen a gun safe on sale think that we would do business with them always good people to do business with, so we thought. We went the night before got a quote from a guy wrote to the price and his name down, told us they would load it for us because we told them it would be just me, due to me husband had to work. We got their the price went up 80 dollars and the guy deny the price he quoted us the night before, the safe was not in a box no paper work told me I had to come and pick up the selves and paper work a different time and wouldn't load it for me. So, here I sit with the safe at the back of my truck and no way to get it in the truck. Thank god, for those nice people out there to help me get the safe in my car. The following day I walked into the store to get my paper work and selves with my receipt and was deny it. very rude and said I was lying. So, I had to call the gun place to get the paper work easy no problem and than had to buy the selves so that our safe was usable. When I called headquarters I left Three voice mails waited on the phone for over a hour and still I haven't receive nothing from them. VERY DISAPPOINTMENT!!

  15. Went to Tractor Supply In Milledgeville Ga who the Managers Name is Candace. Was looking for assistance with Chickens they had on sale. When I ask for Help she told me putting up stock was more important and she would help me when she was done. She practically spit in my face and she rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips as she said it. Called the District Manager Mr. Ron Wilber who said he would take care of it. She is still there and still doing the same unprofessional conduct as allways. Several of my friends have had the same issues with this store. I will never shop here again. They dont deserve my money.

  16. This afternoon I visited your Tractor Supply store in Bulverde, Texas. I noticed the store had ducklings and chicks for sale as part of your spring promotion. The ducklings had no water and some of the groups of chicks' water containers were also empty. The animals were noticeably trying to get water. I went to the front and asked the cashier if I could speak to the manager about this issue. A male employee (not the manager) quickly dismissed me saying thank you for telling him. He said nothing about watering the animals. I even asked him. So I asked to talk to the store manager. Turns out he was working at the help desk next to the pens with the animals. The manager said they water the baby birds twice a day. He said the ducks like being in water so they splash the water from the water container. Well, if this is the case, shouldn't they be watered more often? Also, the bedding in the tub with the ducks was soaked making the animals huddle in the one dry end of the tub. I was also quickly dismissed by the store manager when he heard my complaint. Because of the manager's attitude, I told him that I would not be opposed to contacting the local Humane Society. As he turned to walk away from me, he told me to do what I thought best. I decided this was more of a corporate issue. I don't think your Bulverde, TX store manager is as keen about you chicken/duck spring promotion as corporate is. Selling sick baby birds to customers with the cute, expensive coops you are advertising won't make customers happy. Neither will looking in the tubs and seeing dead baby ducks because store management failed to properly care for them. I sincerely hope this same scenario is not playing out in any of your other stores. Heck of a way to run a store that caters to animals! I sincerely hope you will contact all your store managers about the need to properly care for these helpless creatures or remove them from your stores. They are living baby creatures that should not have to suffer this way.

  17. The Hamburg NY TSC store has probably the rudest most ignorant sales people and managers I've dealt with. While trying to buy a landscape rake I was told to wait by the door. After 15 minutes and no one showing up I walked to the back of the store where I found 2 employees and MGR Jessica munching on snacks. I said I was waiting for 10-15 minutes to spend over 500 dollars on a landscape rake. They seem bothered I interrupted their conversation as I once again asked for help. I worked customer service over 40 years and if I treated a customer like they treated me I would have been fired a long time ago. Corporate should take notice of comments posted on this board as I haven't seen a positive one yet. I'll do my shopping elsewhere.

Shows her butt crack and mid drift all the time. left the store unattened to 2 cashiers to take care of personal business!! changes planagrams like the boot section totally and The district manager has done nothing. lost a 3000.00 a month customer for a 13.00 outfit. Team leader quitting, receiver gave 2 weeks notice, there 2 others that are going to quit as soon as they find different jobs and one is a key carrier. And nobody is doing anything about it!! So upset!! she upsets customers all the time. She wear low cut shirts when she works with male team leader. Hope someone takes notice!!!!! or they will loose a lot of good workers who want the store to be great!

  19. I have shopped at many TSC stores and have always had a pleasant and enjoyable experience. I went in to buy/look for a few vehicle security items(the Club) and was surprised to see they do not carry anything like it.
They might want to consider some of those type products.

  20. A TSC store opened in our community. We went to the store and decided to purchase a riding mower. We applied for one of their credit cards and it was approved. After the 2nd month, we decided to consolidate several small bills and included the mower that was purchased from TSC. The payment was sent in. After several weeks had passed, we got a letter saying that our payment was past due. We called the company and was told that they had received the check but they had destroyed the check because it was part of Citibank. Our question is why was the check not returned to us? They did not have the authority to destroy the check. We can't have the check replaced because they destroyed the check. This was done in poor judgment and poor taste by TSC. Now because of their actions, it is causing me an additional headache. In addition, they have put late fees an finance charges on this account. This is clearly deceptive trade practices and will be turned over to the Attorney General's office.

I hope tsc higher management has a training program to train employees how to deal with customers cause the customers are the ones paying for their salaries and making the business afloat.

  23. Well, here's one for you TSC. How can you let affairs between employees who are married to other people to where the Manager gets moved to another Store not once but twice because he became involved with female employees. He was was moved from Maysville,KY to Grayson,KY for being to close to employees so he told me(wife). So last June I started looking at phone bills from cell he would call Maysville store from Grayson to talk to his plaything in Maysville. While in Grayson he started taking another female to lunch, dinner, and whatever I don't know. I left in Jan. 2014 after being married to him for 24 years. I knew the woman in Grayson worked with him but when he got sent to Morehead and later fired. She is Assistant Manager now in the Grayson store. When he was managing the store and scheduling he always had them come in right after he did. The Assistant Manager in Grayson now Ex-husband told me this and you uphold these kind of people who go around cheating on their spouses. She did this at her previous job too. Maybe, if you'd done more research before hiring her I still may have a husband. But just thought you should know what kind of person is running your company..if they'll lie and cheat to the ones they vowed to love until death do they part just imagine what else they would lie about.

  24. The new TSC store in Glen Burnie, Maryland out side along East Park Drive is filthy looking and skids all over the place just plain trash looking. we have asked that a fence be put up so that we don't have to look at the mess everyday of the week what we go past the store to our homes. Looks like tsc is not community friendly. ps I have not shopped in the store since it opened because of the ongoing problem.

  25. Thank you for the wonderful customer service by Andrew at your Tractor Supply store in Marion, VA. Although we live in Texas, we have used the Marion store for gifts for family members living in Virginia. On the last occasion, we ordered a welding helmet from your Marion store for our son. Because I could not give a credit card number over the phone (and I really appreciate the safety in that), I sent a check which Andrew used in a very complicated process to get the gift...ordering it all the way from another state. He went above and beyond what I would have expected. He is a great addition to your staff, and we thank you again for such great customer service. Nacogdoches, TX

  26. How do you provide customer service when only eight people are scheduled for an entire week? The cashier runs the entire store.......while managers deal with freight, the receiver works m-f, freight comes Sunday? Schedules never up and then get changed last minute. You preach balance of Home and work, but cut hours for unfounded reasons.....having doctors appointments and told you will work when scheduled after it gets changed....shame shame. I like the store and customers, but a successful store that treats employees badly????????

  27. We like your stores very much. My wife and I were coming home from Fremont ,Ohio , and stopped by your store on Rt.20. We were very impressed with the people that helped us there that we wanted to send a good note for them. Megan and Olivia were very helpful with questions we had about our dog and chickens. Megan was very knowledgeable and eager to help. Again, thank you for a great staff at your Fremont store.

  28. Today I received a sale mailing from Tractor Supply. It was addressed to me, by name, and to my home address. I have never given this information to anyone at Tractor Supply. I deeply resent this and consider it an invasion of privacy. I will not shop at Tractor Supply again.

  29. I find it interesting how a store Manager can live with a coworker. I thought mangers were not supposed to do that according to the company's policy. I guess things can really change. I overheard it from two of the tsc employees how if it was anyone else they would be fired. It is store 1313. Come on tsc do your research if you have rules why do you not enforce them? Otherwise don't have them.

  30. I work for a logistics company that takes trailers from their manufacturer to TSC all over the country. I have had nothing but good things to say about your company up until now. Yesterday one of my tractor trailers picked up a load of trailers in Georgia and is delivering them to TSC stores all around Ohio. His first stop took longer than expected because of the way the trailers where loaded. By the time we got to our last two stops we had made up most of the time but it's starting to look like we will be about 15 minutes to a half hour late delivering the last load to Norwalk, OH. My driver and I both called to plead our case with the store manager but all she could say is " I don't have money in the budget to pay one of my people for a extra half our of work". Now instead of getting the last couple trailers off and going home, my driver will have to sit their over night in the parking lot cause she don't have 5 dollars to pay her employee for a half hour to do ten minutes of unloading their trailers.....Unbelievable. The least she could do is leave the keys to the forklift their so we could unload them ourselves. People are so selfish!!

  33. Not a farmer or rancher but like to stay loyal to stores I do business with. Only have two dogs that were rescues. Had been buying 4health dog food for the past two yrs as well as treats etc from TSC. A few wks ago, I bought a water bowl with bottle. Followed instructions in washing and even washed in extra and let it dry. Put fresh water in it, set it up for the guys and in less than 48 hrs the water in the bottle was thick & cloudy with some mold as well as mold growing on the sides and bottom of the bowl, especially the sides. I pulled it & set up their old water bottle/bowl. I took the NEW bow back to the store with some of the 'cloudy' water still in the bottle and mold still in the bowl. I was in a good till the manager on duty came up to 'help(?)'. He seemed to really be put out that I wanted to return or exchange an item. He was antagonistic from the get go. really, it was my fault there was mold in the water? It was just the city water from the faucets fault? No,I did not have the receipt. Had never had to return a water bowl before. I have no police record & never have but, you would think I was trying to pull off as major scam to TSC. I wound up exchanging it for the same style bow system & manufacturer. Guess what? Same washing, same rinsing, same tap water, same ice cubes and NO MOLD! I have shopped TSC in many states for many years. I even used to haul their freight occasionally. Never again. Have never had a problem with any employee in any state till this jerk. From reading the above messages, I get the distinct impression HQ just doesn't give a damn? I know they won't miss me.

  34. TSC in Ridgeway VA should be ashamed of themselves. First, the Store Manager, who was recently appointed to a open a new store has completely given up on actually doing ANYTHING other than showing up to save hours. He does NO WORK during the hours that were taken from other employees as well as completely ignoring customers and then lying straight to their face when confronted by them later. One customer became so upset that he not only threatened physical harm to said Manager but also completely stopped shopping there. Before this problem, he would spend at least $1200 every week as he owned a rather large farm in the area. This business now goes to Southern States. Second, the only MIT that DID help customers and was next in line for the store (and my friend) was transferred 30 minutes away even though he was next in line for the store after the Store Manager was transferred. This is no way to run a business! Third, qualified employees are passed over for promotion because quote "he is my friend and while he has never done this type of job before, really needs the job." Also, the Receiver apparently has no idea as to what his duties actually are. The inventory count is constantly wrong (this from frustrated employees)and the store looks like crap. Lastly, many of the employee's hours have been cut severely so that the upper management employees (ASM) could save hours in the store scheduling. The only problem with this is that they apparently see themselves as above doing the work of the employees they STOLE the needed hours from. Again, your store is a mess. How you can ethically or even morally support this practice emphasizes your commitment to the bottom line; not customer service or even your "valued" employees and customers. The only minority in the store, from what he has told me, is responsible for virtually the entire store room, from breaking down received trucks AND EVERYTHING INVOLVING FEED AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH ANIMALS ALL BY HIMSELF. You should be ashamed of yourselves and should definitely look into the "private interpersonal relationships" that I personally have seen between the management in the store. Favoritism is the name of the game there. The frustration is evident on the faces of your employees and it is coming through all the way down to the customer level. BOO on TSC for allowing this to continue....you should be careful or legal action might result from your inability (or unwillingness) to investigate and address these problems. You have completely lost my business and anyone who says to me they are going to shop there definitely gets an earful of your deplorable actions.
