    1. Be careful what you wish for. There is a ROSS in my hometown, right outside of DC and the store is kept in such disarray that it looks like a rummage sale. I also travel for my company and have gone to many places where there is a Ross. i thought that only the store in my area would look so bad... I was wrong. EVERY ROSS store I've gone into looks the SAME messy way. It might be a good thing no one has been professional enough to respond to you. I'm trying to complain about managemwent at my local ROSS who does not mind long lines of people waiting to check out. I finally decided I'm NOT going to patronize them anymore. i'll just take my money and go to Marshall's, which is my favorite place to shop anyway or TJ Maxx I can't stand ROSS and it's xcheap quality of clothes.

  2. Some ROSS Stores are a mess, I agree. But I wholeheartedly disgree that they are all that way. I depends on the area and the clients. I have been shopping in stores where the customer has knocked something off the rack, by accident, but then just run it over with the shopping cart. I have seen ignorant parents allow their young children to "whip it out" and urinate on the post in front of another store. These are the people who don't care about where they shop and will destroy a store in no time at all. I have been in the Hollywood store where they are not pigs, but just by the sheer volume of people shopping, the store gets trashed. And every night it is brought back to life so if you arrive first thing in the morning, you would never know it was trashed the previous day. Then I have been to the La Jolla store and the Solana Beach store where everything is beautiful! Of course the mgmt has to care about the store too! If they don't care, they should be replaced!
All that being said...I have shopped at my local Marshall's and it is trashed too. The TJ Max near me, HA! Went there one time, and will not go back. No only is the store trashed, but there is broken glass items on the shelving and the employees are rude and treat you as if they are doing you a favor just because they showed up for work that day.

  5. An incident occurred at the Town Center Prado 50 Barrett Pkwy, Ste 400 Marietta, GA 30066 location. I was attempting to try on two dresses at this location when the fitting room attendant named Kenyatta told me I was not allowed to take my son into the dressing room due to incidents with other children misbehaving in the fitting rooms and that I would have to leave my son who is six outside the fitting room by himself until I was done trying on merchandise. She then proceeded to ask her floor manager was it okay for my son to enter into the fitting room with me as long as he behaved himself. I was so upset that I left the store and returned to ask to speak with the manager of the the store (Lolita) I explained to her the situation and she said she had no idea of this policy, she did however tell me that she did not have a problem with my son entering the fitting room with me and that Kenyatta should have never even mentioned it unless it was store policy as well. I went into further detail that I did not see this new policy written in black and white, there was also no notice from corporate explaining such rule as well, there was no sign stating that little boys were not allowed in the fitting rooms, and it was not a corporate policy or procedure. I went on to explain to Lolita that I will not abide by such unknown rules that are not posted or part of protocol of Ross Stores due to the fact that the fitting room attendant randomly addressed me and my son in the manner that she did. Also that he is six years old and I will not leave him in the company of fitting room attendant whose focus is not on him rather than checking customers merchandise or texting on their cellular device causing one mistake that my son would wander off or come up missing due to their unknown rule and neglect to watching him as he is not allowed to come in the fitting room with me. Due to Ross being a family oriented store it needed that they would make the necessary precautions for fitting rooms .If Ross Stores feels this way then they will need to make it store policy for all stores or build family fitting rooms or make the fitting rooms accommodate so that no one can look in another fitting room child or not. I have spent hundreds of dollars on clothing for myself and my family from this location in the past year and now I have to find another store to get our clothing and home merchandise from due to the poor customer care we received today and not only that but discrimination as well due to customers not having control over their children. I will not shop at another Ross store due to the treatment myself and my son experienced today, and anyone who has children will be made aware of how we were treated. I hope that Ross Stores can rectify the situation and not make customers or their children feel unwanted due to what has happened to me and my son.

  8. Why write on these no one at this company cares!! They hire all these out of school managers that don't have no experience to run these stores. All the managers no is if there workers don't do there job (management job) for them. The managers get to write employees up until they are fired. MY FAMILY MEMBER has been with company for a several years and now with new manager she cant do anything to please manager!!!! Its funny how someone that's been doing the job for years all of a sudden with new manager cant do nothing right!!!

  9. I worked in Loss Prevention at a Ross Store in New Port Richey, FL. Our managers were seasoned--not just out of high school. With few exceptions, our store was clean and orderly which I will attribute to store manager JC, assistants and employees. "Pick it up, don't pass it up." was the policy. The exceptions which I mentioned were usually created by hateful customers who created havoc and disarray in each of the plaza's stores. Yes, I have shopped in Ross stores which have an unkempt appearance, but I've also shopped in Ross Stores where I had to read the signage to be sure that I didn't wander in to a high-end department store. While a Ross employee, I worked with and met so many quality people. Do I still shop at Ross Stores? Yes.
