  1. I just watched Undercover Boss on television which featured Popeye's CTO, I don't usually watch realtiy shows but this episode was wonderful. You have a customer for life! This episode showed that Popeys's really does care for its employees something that is lacking in so many companies with all the cutbacks and layoffs to save money.

    3. I dont know what too do. I have a son that works at popeyes and it is heartbreaking too see him come home from work. why i say this? He loves working at popeyes. He had been with them for some years and this is his second go round.well he has been coming home frustrated, depressed because a co worker, an asstant manager has been saying rude things behind his back to other workers. He gets angry when he gets home and takes his frustations out at home. This is a constant thing over and over. unbeknown too the asst manager, there are employees coming back and telling him these things. he says he can tell when he is being talked about, because of the mannerisms that are displayed when he comes on too work. I myself want so much too go to the Boss and tell him about this. But then my son feels he will lose his job. He feels that they may just back this asst up for fear of losing their job. I really am so tired and frustrated. the gm is out, but there is one on call you would say an acting gm. I personally feel it would do no good too go to this gm. But I know my son is a good worker in that he shows other worker how too do things he was taught. It seems as if this asst is putting pressure by making comments such as we are hiring new people and this and that. Personally I feel I should contact the owner and personally speak too him and let him know, so my son want feel his job would be in jeorpardy!!!Can someone please give me added advice? Thank you and God Bless~~~a concern mother for a son``Oh and by the way i was told this same person was let go from a previous place of employment for making mess on the job..Now this is hearsay, I cant say for sure. But other things my son has told me i could not put on this . She is not handling herself in a professional manner bcause she feels she is close to the Gm. Please Help. Tired of seeing my son so upset and depressed. Again he loves popeyes, but these asst is really threatning too him.

    4. Have your son ask the manager to speak with him privately. If he is old enough to work he is old enough to deal with the situation himself, unless he has a disability then I would encourage you to go with him. Have him go through the chain of command...do not go directly to the owner. He needs to make sure when he does talk to the manager he only presents facts, names, dates and times of the incidents. HE must make it very clear that he loves his job and doesn't want to lose it or quit but the actions of the ast. manager is making a hostile work environment. Popeyes values their employees and everyone is important. They will not tolerate management being unprofessional in any capacity. See if the manager will take care of the situation...give it a couple of weeks and if the problems don't stop go to his boss. Give the manager a chance to take care of the situation. Most important let him take care of the situation. He will be respected by others for taking the time to handle the mess, not his mom. Make sure he ask to speak with the manager in private and has his concerns documented so he can present them in an unemotional, factual manner. Good luck!

    5. ive worked at Popeyes NOT LONG of course for about 4 r 5 weeks , Okay.. The MANAGER IS A ASS HOLE, I worked 36hrs DID A AWesOME job besides game day BEcause he decides to put only 2 ppl working total of 5 refunds and he also called in that day and didnt have no one cover his shift. The assist manager and i almost quit that day... HMMM ya .. NOOO!!! . and now i am not on the schedule none this week whitch is bull shit .. I am calling to report and see why i am no longer on the schedule AFTER 36hrs in one week. ?!! an now i work NONE this week when theres ppl there that calls in sick ALMOST EVERYDAY are leaves early , Im always on time ALWAYS doing my job ... I dealt with ALOT of attitudes from this manager.. Store .. on BELAIR RD Augusta Ga.. i believe store number is 4427 .. BUT THIS IS BULL I WILL NEVER WORK FOR ANY POPEYES DESTRICT .

They were lying about the reasons they fire their employees and cut back hours of the best employees and give it to the ones who didn't learn anything.. The managers only want what they want not what the company needs.. *Former popeyes employee* I got fired for "calling in" an hour before my shift but i called 5 hours earlier and I had a doctors note.. Then lied about the reasons i got fired to the whole crew

  2. I have been a resident of Los Angeles all my life. I ate at Popeyes chicken as soon as they came here. At one point I stopped going. I went to the restaurant on laBrea and centinela ave,. Located in inglewood, ca. I ordered the #2, a large red beans and rice Costing me $12. I handed the woman a $20. Bill, she went away and came back with my soda, then left again and came back with my food. She asked if I wanted a dipping sauce (I had a hard time understanding her dialect)), she told me the various flavors and I gave her my choice. I then drove away. I drove home which is 3 minutes away. I then realized I didn't get my change so I turned right back around. This time I went inside. I told the clerk she didn't give me my change. The forst thing she asked me was 'where is my receipt, I told her I didn't get that either. She said she was sure she did. Fortunately, I had the bag of food with me and took everything out to show her it wasn't in the bag. The manager, Salvatore, says he balanced the money til and said he balanced out. Okay, so where do you think the money is? It's in one of their pockets, that's where it is, and because I never got a receipt. Of course he balanced. I AM ASKING EVERYONE Not to patronize Popeyes on LaBrea and Centinela. They are liars and thieves! No wonder there is no place on their site to complain!

  4. I just visited Popeyes #3681 in Omaha, Ne ....This was the worst experience I have EVER had! My order consisted of three ragin cajun combos, out of the drive thru. The woman who took my order, no different than any other time at this location DID NOT use any manners, no pleases no thank yous, just does that complete your order, after every item I would order. Then straight to the window, I was able to pay she shorted me a nickel, but I guess she cant count and then was asked to park over there, I said where and the woman pointed across the parking lot. There was one car already parked nxt to the door waiting on her order and no cars behind me. Like why do I have to move soo quickly..all they care about is their stupid clock when they should care more about upselling and GREAT SERVICE So I pulled nxt to the lady..we started talking, our windows were down and she said she was only waiting on an eight (8) piece and biscuits. We waited about 5 minutes, in the meantime, I walked back up to the open drive thru window asked for honey...I saw the employees drinking pop and bs ing...hello no wonder your times are bad and you all try to look productive.Once the same woman who took the order brought the other womans who was waiting I heard..."We were waitin on biscuits", again no respect, no cares for anyones time or wait she then handed me my food w/ no explanation, apology or thanks for my wait...but instead I got a glare and she then looked back again and I asked what are you looking at...she said I can look. Ok this became intimidating as the woman still proceeded to run her mouth instead of just walking back into the store to finish her fast food duties, the manager was looking out the drive thru window at the whole thing while this woman they call MO continued to talk shit to me. HELLO I HAVE KIDS IN THE CAR!!!!! Popeyes is full of a BUNCH OF SLACKERS WITH NO TRAINING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE..ITS OBVIOUS THEY DONT CARE WHO THEY HIRE THAT THIS WOMAN COULDNT GET ANY OTHER JOB DUE TO HER ATTITUDE AND POOR WORK ETHIC AND TATOO COVERED NECK ETC...GHETTO!!! I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK!!!!! Since this must be her first job, Im gonna break it down to you...THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS, I REPEAT ALWAYS RIGHT. IF YOUR CUSTOMER HAS AN ATTITUDE YOU BETTER NOT HAVE ONE BACK IF YOU LIKE THE 7.25/HR YOUR GETTING!!! GET A CLUE CORPORATE, IF SHE WOULD OF JUST SAID THANK YOU FOR YOUR WAIT INSTEAD OF COMIN OUTSIDE WITH HER BLACK GHETTO ATTITUDE..ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN WELL.     Last night in London Ontario, the front desk gave
    Us the menu. The menu stated free delivery for
    Hotel guests. We called the # for the closest one
    Wellington rd, where they told us to call Clark rd,
    Upon calling Clark rd, they informed us there was a $7.00
    Delivery charge and it would take 1 1/2 hrs
    We called back to wellington st location
    Where we were told they had no delivery person
    Even thou, the flyer says they do offer it
    The woman on the phone was rude and obnoxious
    And didn't get my point that they shouldn't
    Advertise free delivery service if in fact they could
    Sometimes not have it, no where on the flyer did
    It say only when driver on
    This horrid customer service has turned me off
    Your restaurant completely and I'll never
    Return to any of them

That lady is far beyond rude.If you want to be treated with disrespect and no diginity, then work for Popeye’s Restaurant, Managers at Popeye’s are very rude and disrespectful, they treat their employees like crap disrespect and no dignity.Adela the manager told me she didnt care if I called her boss, she told me he needs me and he wont care what you say. I visited Popeyes on Lackland Air Force Base yesterday and was very upset with the service.First we waited 10 minutes for someone to even come on the speaker in the drive-thru then got overcharged on my debit card so they gave me the difference in cash.Then we were told to park and wait 9 minutes. After 15 minutes my daughter went inside to find out what the holdup was .I ordered all dark meat but i guess they didnt have enough so put some white meat in without telling us .This was put in the trash since no-one likes white chicken.I dont think i will going back.the store #05659 is in San Antonio Texas

  10. I watched Undercover Boss last night and I thought what was shown depicted a caring company, however after reading these comments I'm not sure enough stores were visited. Ever think of 'Undercover customers', as well as 'undercover employees'?

    Anyway, I wanted to comment on the section where the janitor and "Pam" were cleaning the garbage cans. I'm surprised she was so clean after she had to bend over and her forehead and hair were inside the can and she must have had it touch her waist as she reached down to scrape the can bottom. I don't recall if she was wearing protective gloves or not. My point is that this is a rather unsanitary condition without proper PPE - the cans had not been cleaned in two days .... and why not, no one else did it when he had some time off? I'm surprised, given she agreed to provide 'safer' cleaning chemicals that nothing was said about protecting the cleaner. At the least, the cleaner should have some sort of hair cover, not a hair net, gloves and an impervious apron. Perhaps longer handled tools would help also, most of us are somewhat on the shorter side and I don't think I could lean over that size can and be able to reach bottom with the tool she was using. I might even fall into it.

    Another thought about the person who was ranted at by the employee while the manager watched - I hope she was demoted, if not fired. I don't care how "important" an employee is to the store, a bad attitude means lost revenue and bad press by word-of-mouth. Attitude is more important in some ways than being a "good" worker. "A soft answer turneth away wrath". Management needs to be more involved in the stores day-to-day affairs.

  11. I found the Providence Mall Popeye's to be the rudest restaurant I have ever had the privledge to patronize. I complained to the manager (who was standing right there I might add, and she admitted the girl Maria was rude) and completed the customer service survey. I am about to submit my official letter to the corporate office. I know that most employees act like the customer's have to to use their facilities, shop in their stores, eat in their restaurants, etc but I still believe that common courtesy should be served up with my purchase.

Living on that side of town, we have to travel 8-10 miles and your meal is cold by the time you arrive home. If you want terrible service just vist the popeyes resturant in South Bend Indiana. the rudeness starts as soon as you pull up to the drive thru speaker. sometimes they won't even ask for your order, they'll just wait for you to say hello. then there's no suggestive selling. coupled with poor language skills and indiffrence you'll want to say "forget it" and leave but you cant because it's a single lane with a wall on each side of you. so you wait ... and wait . . the minumum wait time is about 10 min. when you get to the window it looks very unoganized,too many people , messy they curse in front of customers.that store needs a complete make-over.

  16. If there was an option for a "0" rating that is what store #2577 on University Drive in Huntsville, AL would get. I live 1 hour from Popeye’s and we were in Huntsville on Friday. I stopped by to get a to go order. It was anything but correct. I had ordered the 11 piece on the board and 6 biscuits and a large bean and rice along with a large coke. The person taking the order was very rude. When it was my time to get to the order box she said hold ...so I waited and waited and then all of the sudden she says "I said go ahead" hmmmm not a good start that is for sure. So I placed my order to have the white meat spicy and dark meat mild. I really do not think that was too hard...she then said pull to the window for your total. The person who took my card was anything but nice either snatching my card out of my hand. He handed me the coke and my card said pull up behind that car the chicken is coming out and someone will bring out in just a minute or so....Now I am thinking a minute or so is like a minute or so...WRONG it would up being closer to 15 minutes..The person who brought the order out was swinging the bag and made me open my door to basically get out to reach it. Now if I wanted that I could have got out of my car and entered the front door. I drive all the way back home 1 hour into TN and go to put the dinner out so my family can eat at 8:30 pm and there was only 8 pieces of chicken all MILD, no red beans and rice, and only 4 biscuits....I was not going to turn around and then when I called the store back to tell them my order was all messed up...I was told you will have to bring it back so we can verify...REALLY I will NEVER GO BACK TO POPEYES>>>>>Even the person that was in front of me had to circle back around the building to get something that was not in their order…

  18. We used to be fans of Popeyes Chicken and always ate hear above other chicken places in our neighborhood. Well, strike three and you are out. We will not spend antoher dime here as our local, (Highway 26, North Rich\land hills Texas), has become so completely bad that we are done. We got used to it taking up to 25 minutes in drive-thru and getting cold greasy chicken and bean juice with small scoop of rice for red beans and rice to latest incident, using a coupon for 14 pieces of chicken and getting 11 pieces. When I called the manager to ask her to make it right, I got put on hold and could hear her taking orders and just left me on hold. After 10 minutes I hung up and wrote this review. I am contacting the corparate off to see if they even care.

  19. ever since the East Indians and Muslim types have taken over the Popeye's outlets in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the quality of the food has gone downhill, almost as bad as KFC!

    The chicken portions are much smaller than before, is much greasier than before and what's with this Halal nonsense?
    If the Muslims want to have their food Halal, they can buy it from a Muslim butcher and cook it themselves, not that it would taste any different.

    Popeye's has been degraded to junk food outlets, the quality is very poor and there's no value for the money!

I purchased a 16 piece dinner last night, took it home to my family started eating and realized the chicken was not cooked all the way, called the location spoke with the manager told her the situation she said it was just because it was the "Spicy" I said no I know the difference between spicy and raw I then took the chicken back to the location she said that she would give me 1 chicken breast??? what the hell will one chicken brease feed a family of 4? I asked for my money back she refused to give me money back or another 16 piece dinner only 1 chicken breast!I WILL NEVER EAT AT POPEYES AGAIN! EVER!

  24. I was very upset and disappointed about the service that your crew had given my mother and I. The crew member that had took our order was Edward. He seemed very annoyed and seemed lazy to work. When he took my order, he wasn't welcoming, and he just gave me my credit card back without saying thank you, or anything. It made me feel unwelcome. After my mother asked for a cup of water, and as she asked if it was okay to just get some ice, Edward just responded "Ya.." as if he was already annoyed and looked at her as if she was unsmart. I was upset about that, but as I watched when she was to get some ice, he kept looking at her & talking to the manager during that shift, and just kept looking and laughing at my mother because she was confused on finding the lid for the cup, not only does that make me feel horrible because the way they are making fun of my mother, it's disappointing to me how judgmental your crew is, and instead of trying to help her or assist her trying to find a lip that will fit the cup, they just laughed at her. When I come into a restaurant, I am suppose to feel welcome and appreciated for my service, but here, I didn't get that at all. To be honest, the experience I had makes me not want to return.

  25. I experienced something so hilarious (wasn't hilarious then, but is now), last night, 3/13/13, at the Popeye's in Columbia, La., that in ALL my 55 years of living and eating at restaurants all over the United States!

    We were sitting at the table, having received our order, preparing literally to eat, when one of the men behind the counter came out to where my son, Pastor Jonathan Crist, was in the process of eating his Naked Chicken Tenders. The employee reached into his basket and attempted to take one of his tenders saying, " I gave you one too many pieces of chicken!" I could not believe what I was seeing! He DID get his one piece of chicken and took it back behind the counter!

    Can you believe that?!?!

    Guess it just goes to show ya! You don't get between some people and their chicken!

    I wonder if the head office at Popeye's would be interested in this story? It might make a good commercial!

  26. We had gone to one of the stores for years once or twice a week love the chicken livers. we moved and started going going to the one on 6330 Troost ave kc MO 64131 FYI. All 5 times we went Sorry we have no livers. Poor ordering or just plain lazy? Well when we go we ordered for a family of 6 guess money is no object for this company. cause they lost a loyal customer at close to $200. a month. Said thing is Ive tried to say something to management but the I don't care reply we got only left us with a bad taste in our mounth for this company.

  27. I drove 20 miles today to get some Popeye's butterfly shrimp. I am from New Orleans but I live in California. I found a store and when I got to the door there were thirty or more people ahead of me online! I love Popeye's but not enough to stand online for an hour or more. There are empty store fronts in the Linda Mar shopping center of Pacifica CA. The only fast food in town is McDonalds. Please open a store in Pacifica CA. There are more than 40,000 souls in this town and I am sure many of them would support a Popeye's restaurant

Our experience, that has literally left us sick, disgusted, disappointed, and now very reluctant, if ever again, to visit any Popeyes Restaurant. I plan on & you can be assured, I will pass this information along to those that need this information & need to know the quality food that Popeyes is serving.

He was extremely rude not only to customers but his co workers as well. He displayed no professionalism whatsoever.I was very displeased with what I saw yesterday. Worst customer service ever.

  36. I went for lunch @ 12:25PM, 4/1/2014 to Popeye's #5593 on 846 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, TX. As I was waiting in line to place my order, the Manager was so unprofessional, screaming at her employees, for everything thing she directed to the employee she screamed at them. All the other customers waiting in line were horrified and we were all very uncomfortable with her screaming. I asked to speak to her after I got my order and when I told her that she was very unprofessional and shouldn't scream at her employees in from of the customers she stated "whatever, you don't know how my day is going", I then told her if she was having such a bad day to clock out and go home, she then told me "whatever, you got your chicken now go eat it", so I threw the bag of chicken and told her to eat it, maybe she would feel better. This event spoiled my whole lunch., I then went to Bill Millers and bought another lunch there.

  38. At the popeyes located at weston rd and Lawrence, Toronto. They do not practice procedure when they are handling food .on more than one occasions I go to buy food one of the reps hand was cut, he just started his shift he did not wash his hands nor put gloves on. When I told him not to handle my food he told me I should not be ordering fast food. Something needs to be done about that location or that rep. His,attitudes towards customers needs to be improved or not work in a customer service industry.

  39. I live in Az, however, on Thursday June 19 2014, I was bringing my husband home from Ca after having surgery. We were hungry and decided to stop off for a couple of poor boy's and fries. After recieving our order, I went up and asked for a Ranch and a BBQ sauce, I was told they charge .11 cents each, no problem, I went and got a quarter out of my purse(I didn't even expect change). Next customer comes up is an African American man with 2 teenagers, he also asks for sauce, he is not charged, he even goes back up for seconds and still is not charged. Now come on, I am not racist, but this appeared to be blatant racism to me. I will never patronize another Popeyes again! Oh, and by the way, I went online and let them know exactly how the service was, nobody has yet to contact me.
