  1. I have been to two of your Kmart stores here in Columbus Ohio and both stores have VERY poor Customer Service manners. I was at the Grove City Store and they didn't have the Sale item in stock, nor did the want to even check another store for me. I then contacted the Olentangy River Road store and was put on hold for over 10mins. I ended up talking with Vickie (the manager) and she was more helpful. If you are going to advertize a product, you should make sure that you have the stock available for the customer to purchase, or at least advise as to when the product will be available and post in your ad then. This is why the Meijer Stores lost my buisness, their Customer Service was HORRIBLE and they too never had stock. I am regretfully another VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. Maybe this is why so many stores have closed. Something to think about !!! C. Wolfe-Grandmother

  2. My "fiance" recently purchased me an engagement ring from Kmart. There was a lovely proposal and I was very happy. The Kmart jewelry department worker offered him ring sizing at the time of purchase but he made a rain check excited to go ahead and give me the ring. After the excitement we went back to Kmart to have it sized. The Kmart worker took the ring and explained they would call us when it's ready, no problems. Very excited when we got the call!, we drove there in a hurry so I could wear my beautiful ring. Only to find out when I put it on my finger that the diamond set had been smashed, bent, and scuffed up!!!!!!!! We show the managers & they all agree that, well, it looks like shit! And the answer to this problem is THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE I CHOSE KMART TO SIZE MY RING!!!!!! What kind of service is that?? I trusted my ring would be taken care of but instead it was ruined and its MY FAULT because I trusted KMART to do it! So they already declined fixing it & they proceed to tell me no refund either?? I'm furious! I did end up getting the refund but my ring is gone. The ring that my fiance presented to me in our special moment is GONE! That was irreplaceable!! No money will give me my precious moment back. Now I am "engaged" & have no ring to show for it!!!! I WILL NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH KMART EVER AGAIN & I WILL SPREAD THE WORD ON HOW HORRIBLY I WAS DONE!! THANKS ALOT KMART!!

  3. I tried to order 6 panels for layaway of Eclipse Curtains Kent Grommet Thermapanel Solid Color Stripe Thermaback. In chocolate, 42 x84. I called customer service & was given an email address. I emailed several times & asked for assistance. I requested for the rep to make a phone call & let me know when this new item would be back in stock in a store near me. She returned my email, refusing to help. She told me to take care of the problem myself. I don't think she even read the email because she said online prices are different than on store, which wasn't my issue. I emailed repeatedly to a supervisor & was given the same response. I was told by the supervisor to find the informatoon out myself, again by calling the store. I explained repeatedly that I called the store, they don't know when an item will be in stock, but the customer service rep & supervisor knew that I wouldn't be able to solve this by calling the store, This was their way to blow off the request. Now I am very angry & frustrated. Kmart customer service reps & the supervisor are the laziest, most incompetent, rude, unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. The supervisor should be demoted. It is their job to find this information out for me & they refuse. Why can't they do their jobs? Is is that hard to make a call & find out information & make an attempt to perform their customer service job duties? I will be reporting them to corporate headquarters in the orning, and I will NEVER SHOP AT KNART AGAIN! KMART CAN POUND SAND, JUST LIKE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REP & SUPERVISOR TOLD ME TO DO!!!

  7. i work at the Kmart on Okeechobee blvd in west palm beach and the managing staff attitudes stink you can never get time off even if you request it 2-3 weeks ahead of time it has happen to me so many times its good to work there but the attitude of some people in management is bad.

  8. I put in a layaway at the Kmart in Detroit, MI at store#9814. At that time I was offer an 8 week or 12 week layaway, which I when for the 12 week. Thinking this will give me more time to paid off my balance. I wasn't told that the cancellation fee and layaway fee would double with the 12 week layaway. When I walk into the layaway dept there is a sign that says $10.00 cancellations fee and $5.00 layaway fee. It doesn't say "start" at $10.00 calcellations fee or layaway fee "start at" $5.00. This is misleading. I didn't know that Kmart had a 12 week layaway until it was offer to me. The bottom line is that if you are offering a 12 week layaway that the customer is told there will be double fees if you cancel so that the proper decision is made by the customer. I'm not asking for anything just would like to see this policy changed. I have used Kmart layaway many time and only knew about an 8 week layaway. Althought it is on the layaway receipt but we don't get this receipt until after the money is paid and you've already agreed to the 12 week layaway.

  9. I had a job interview for a admin/clerical position. The interview was on a friday w/Melissa the interview went well. I was told I would be meeting w/the corporate manager on Monday at 1 pm for a second interview. I got all dressed up expecting my interview. When I went to the customer service desk and told them why I was there, the clerk at the front desk paged Melissa at that point. I was told that the corporate manager had to run to another store on a emergency and my interview was cancelled and they would personally call me back w/in a week to reschedule the interview. I should have been called before I showed up for my interview, my time is as valuable as Kmarts. It's been over a month and I have not heard a word back from Kmart/Beckley WV. I just seen the same admin/clerical position in my email from indeed job search so they are continueing to look for someone, possibly who they hired didn't work out or quit. I personally would never work for this company after being so rude to a customer {which I was} or after being treated so poorly after a interview. This doesn't say much for the company. I will never make any other purchases from this or any other Kmart store.

  10. Our kmart is closing in freeport, IL, it's bad enough that all the media is being done on sensata, now kmart takes even more jobs away, that's not a very good move on kmarts part, why can't they just use the store as a lost for taxes, and leave our people alone.

  11. Although I disagree with employees being forced to work their Thanksgiving holiday I was one those people out shopping Thanksgiving morning. I shopped at one of the Kmarts in Owensboro KY and was so impressed with the employees that I had to actually comment. Management either took time to instruct the employees or they hand picked the best ones to work this day because they were super. This was the best shopping experience that I've had in years. The employees were so pleasant, cheerful and helpful it was amazing. I hope that these employees get some appreciation for not only working their holiday, but for the great attitude they displayed for Kmart.

  12. I would like to say how the Kmart in Wall, Nj. Has a great deal of rudeness going on. The boss Jeff and manager Michelle are rude as well. I witnessed the attack on a female this evening and was very upset. She did noting wrong but try to help. She is always pleasant and polite. She works with the Salvation Army and it urt me to see her in tears today. Michelle does not know how to talk to people. I have seen her scream and yell at employees. If you ask me Michelle and Jeff are too friendly with one another being married in all.I feel that they need to be replaced. When corporate and other big shots come they try to act as if they are nice and their store is running great. They are as rude as their customers.

  14. Back in November 2012 I placed a layaway order online. Paid it off to have it arrive just a week before Christmas. One important item ordered was a Craftsman cordless drill. However, when the box arrived I DID NOT receive the drill. What I received was an hammer head attachment. I quickly call customer service only for them to tell me that I had to re-order and pay a 2nd time for the item while they process the refund. I opt to just return the item. I was told that I would be sent a label via email...NO, no label until I called 3 times. Finally got label to return item, it was then received by KMART on 1/9/2013. I called to check and was told I will be issued my refund by Jan. 23rd or the 24th at the latest. Today is March 11, 2013 and still NO REFUND. I had just got off the phone with KMART customer service again only to be told they could not find any notes on my acct & told me no refund was ever issued so they are NOW going to look further into it and try to refund me. All I can say is after my refund has been issue, I will NEVER again shop or order KMART.

  15. I have called two of your stores in the Dayton area. Your store located at 601 Woodman Dr. has to have some of the rudest employees I have ever dealt with. I was left on hold, hung up on, the manager did not pick up, and to make matters worse after calling the 4th time, the person had the nerve to ask me what am I looking for. If the store is short of manpower she should have told me that and asked if she could help me. No wonder people are choosing to go other places to shop. Kmart used to be a household name now I see why most of the stores have been closed.

  16. I recently had the displeasure of listening to a Kmart radio advertisement that was littered with profanity. The first time I heard the actors using the vulgar language, I thought I was hearing things. After a few seconds, I realized I wasn't as I not only heard the adult actors using profanity, THERE WAS A KID IN THE COMMERCIAL ALSO USING PROFANITY.

If you think this king of advertising is funny, think again! I will certainly be bypassing Kmart stores going forward.

  20. Not that it means much but I think your "Joe Boxer" commercial is in such bad taste. I don't think it speaks well of a store that is supposed to be family friendly. I won't go near your store this season. It is by far the worst piece of holiday advertising I have ever seen.

  21. Returning an item in Kmart is more difficult than breathing under water, if someone give you a gift, or if you lost your receipt, your ship had sunk and you are a dead drown person, so better shop where you can at least exchange for something else, the attitude of kmart is what is making kmart go down the tubes. The managers say they are threatened emotionally so much they are behaving like savages for the pressure, cashiers and customer service are extremely rude or in total zombie trance, mostly both. Good luck finding a line that moves in actual earth time with the flow.

    2. DITTO! I've also written a huge complaint. The jingle ball ad is disgusting. Kids ask if a man's junk can really jingle like that! I'd like to know K-Mart's answer to that? Can men's junk jingle? Hello, K-Mart, anybody want to tell little kids the answer to that? Whoever writes their advertising needs his or her head examined and then they should be put out to pasture. A disgusting ad sure turns off shoppers!

  27. We have not received our weekly K-Mart sales flyer in our Sunday newspaper, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, for the past 4 weeks, the entire month of January 2014. WHY? I have had to drive to the West Allis Kmart store # 3618 6900 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis, WI 53214, Phone Number: (414) 476-0540, every week to pick one up. This is a huge annoying inconvenience to the customer. And this has just started for the entire month of January 2014. This has never been a problem at all in 2013. I have talked to the store managers, the assistant managers, the price lead, and all I've been told is that they would try asking the district manager for an explanation. They taken my name and number, and so far, I have not received an answer or an explanation as to why the West Allis customers who subscribe to the Sunday Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel are not receiving the K-Mart sales flyer. I would like someone to find out an answer! I am not too happy having to drive in every week because of this. My zip code is 53219-1851. Thank you.

  28. My husband and I went to visit my sister 60 miles away from where we live, We decided to go shopping, My husband went into k-mart to buy his 4 year old daughter a bike he took the bike to costumer service and told them he was going to buy the bike and have them ship it to a k-mart in Puerto Rico and that a family member was going to pick it up They ask him for the address to the K-mart store in P.R and the name of the person that was going to pick up the bike, He gave them all the information they ask for. The next day my husband went on line to check on the status of the bike then he notice that instead of shipping the bike to kmart in P.R they had the bike ship to store he purchase it in. Why ship the bike to the store where he bought the bike when they already had it in stock.(smh). then when he called them and pointed out there mistake and cancel the order they had no idea how to cancel the order, He was calling them every day for almost a week and no one knew how to cancel the order then finally some one told him that the order was cancel and the money will be put back in his account. A few more days later he check and the money was not in his account, he called kmart again and they infor him that his order was never cancel. He finally had to call the credit card explain everything to them and they told him they are disputing it and that in a few days the money will be back in his account that it was a good thing paying with his credit card cause if he would have paid cash he would have not gotten his money back and wouldn't have had the bike either. Never again!

The store manager is a bitch she is rude to customers and her employees. You people need to learn some customer service and learn how to be polite. Get new employees, and damn sure a new manager over lima's store. No wonder you people are closing everywhere else I will make sure that any person I know will not shop with your store. 31. I worked in a Kmart store in Raleigh NC. I was body slammed by the Human Resource personal after stating "You want some of this" and motioning with her hands that she was ready to fight. When I refused she told me to leave. When I went to the front of the store the assistant manager told me to stay. I was afraid not to leave and then the cops come and arrest me for trespassing. I made the mistake of using Kmart's so called "Open Door Policy" and went to the District manager instead of the police. I thought it would be handled. What they did was drag their feet . The department of labor gives you one month to report if you want immediate action. They offered me the job back saying the person still works there and if it happens again that I would have to complain again and they would open another case. Then they stopped putting any correspondence in writing. They would only talk to me via phone. I was asked if I am resigning I said yes. I asked for a "Mutual Separation Letter" which a Kmart representative said they do. To this day they will not give it to me. I didn't want to make trouble for the person who apparently had a bad day so I didn't go to the police. But now a new employer has to call the very person who assaulted me. My advice is don't believe Kmart's "Open Door Policy" . It is there to protect them not you.

Its against the law to fire anyone because they want to practice their religion aka christmas day and Easter. I'm sure all you fucking people making these decisions aren't working. You have lots of money big homes and take lots of vacation time. You have fancy cars and great healthcare. You seem not to care that this may be the last holiday someone gets to spend with their family because they are old sick or dying. Stores survived years decades being closed. 37. I wonder if anyone at KMart Corporate actually reads any of these. Sure eye-opening. I shop at KMart in Farmington New Mexico and it's getting the same way - especially the pharmacy department. The super nice pharmacist died unexpectedly a couple years ago. His assistant then replaced him and he was GREAT. He resigned and went to another pharmacy. Since then they have had replacements from a temp business. They have all been rude and condescending to senior citizens - myself and at least 4 others that I witnessed. I already moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy and now I will move my husband's when it's time to renew them and that is real soon. The rest of the store staff are ok most of the time but don't go out of their way. Seems they are just going thru the motions - no friendliness included like other stores I shop at. KMart is fast losing my patronage.

  39. Kmart on Lake Street in Minneapolis is one I very seldom, if ever shop at. Last night I decided to and boy what a negative experience. The check out person happened to be a young Somalian kid (no pun intended) who looked to be no more than 15 and he acted like he was 12. His friends were playing around with him while he was attempting to check out. Their was a kid before me and one after me. He was talking to the other cashier behind him at the same time. I asked him if he had a larger bag and he said "NAW." I later went to get a money order and stuff was laid all around that area and I had to wait for someone to come over to that area. It's the main area and should always be manned but no. I notice stuff is stewn around the store. It has gone down, down, down. What a negative experience I had. I left thinking to myself no wonder I never go to Kmart and it's within walking distance to my home.

if anyone at the corp. office ever reads our comments I would be shocked. if you ARE listening to any of us, something needs to be!! the customer service at your stores,(Pueblo, Co./ Co. springs, Co. ) is ABSOLUTLY ABHORENT!! I don't know if you teach them to act like they own everything at the stores or if they just take it upon themselves. what ever the case is it makes very difficult to purchase, exchange,or return items. when they at first act as though you stole it. once that's out of the way. they act like the money in the register is their rent money. they insult you with their eyes, facial expression and/or out right insult you verbally. They are unhelpful, and I believe its their large turnover rate that makes them so unknowledgeable to the point they don't know what they have, or were it is.

  44. It is beyond me that Kmart remains open. Their stores are absolutely filthy. The store personnel are among the nastiest people we'll ever meet in the world. Rudeness most be a hiring qualification. Their store managers could care less about their customers. The shelves are empty and sales items are unable more time than not. Based on the comments to this site, it would appear their corporate management could care less as well. Kmart was once among the best place to shop. I will never shop Kmart again. I'll take my hard earned dollars someplace else. DO NOT SHOP KMART.

  45. I recently made a purchase of school uniforms online @ KMart. The online policy states that if you have to exchange or return any of the items, you can return them to the local store. I brought the items to the local K-Mart in Gates NY and waited for 35 minutes while the cashier attempted to locate the items, finally the cashier informs me that they do not carry these items in the store and I would have to return them to the on-line store. After paying $16.76 for return shipping and waiting for 2 weeks for my refund. I call customer service online, which in it self was a totally frustrating experience. Not only were they not able to locate my online order with the order number provided on the shipping receipt.... I had to give each item number for the clothing I purchased and still they were not able to locate my order. Finally they were able to locate my order by using my phone number (DUH!). I was told I could expect my refund in 2-3 business days and would receive a e-mail confirmation of my transaction. I waited for the next 3 days and not only did I not receive e-mail confirmation but I did not receive my refund. I call again to customer service and again have to go through the same process of trying to locate my order. I was told Oh.... I see your refund is being processed and will take 5-7 business days. I asked to speak with a store manager and was told that I was speaking with someone from SEARS! All the information on the website stated that it was K-Mart customer service not SEARS!. I am beyond frustrated with the whole on-line / store experience and will never shop at K-Mart again. It is no wonder that they are struggling for business if this is the way they treat their customers. I will be sure to tell anyone who asks not to shop at K-Mart especially online. Poor customer service :(

I paid for it and went back to where I bought it and ask the clerk about why it was 9.99, she said the other cleaners were 6.99 but that one wasn't . I ask why they didn't have the price of that jewelry cleaner and she said they just don't have it on the shelf. That is deceiving the customer. Now I know why I only go there once or twice a year.

  49. Whose brilliant idea was it to change the music at the Traverse City, MI store? I shop regularly at Kmart but when I walked into the store yesterday I could not believe what I was listening to. 80’s/oldies music!!! Music that no one EVER wants to hear again. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard. I had to grab what I needed and escape. There was no time for looking around with the possibility of buying something else. I talked to one of the girls about the change of music. She said she worked an 8 hour shift and heard ‘Macarena’ six times. Who does that to their employees? Talk about a hostile working environment. I’ll be back when the Christmas music starts (but will be sure to call before I do).

  50. I went to Kmart in Grove City off of Stringtown Rd. I went to do some Christmas shopping I had everything I needed but I went there to get these Jaclyn Smith Caroline black heels booties I needed size 8 but I didn't see any on the shelves or on the very top. So I went to customer service and I waited in line for my turn. Jennie and another associate was working the desk. Jennie said to the lady who works for Kmart I assume that she can help her then she has to go. The lady told Jennie that I was next Jennie said she didn't care that I can help you now then I got to go. I was upset because I've been waiting in line. So after the other lady was free I ask this lady who had medium long brown hair if she would please call other Kmart store to see if they have a size in these Jaclyn Smith. I didn't have anyway to check and I was heading east. She said that's the only store there is and just looked at me. I said thank you for calling and checking. So I called the store manager Lori 614-871-4530 I left a msg on her voicemail she never return my call. I waited in this long line not to get any help it was unprofessional how they treated me. I told Lori on her voicemail that I will never shop at Kmart which I know it's sears who bought kmart. And I will tell my store to everyone I know and I will make a comment on facebook next to spread what my experience was like at kmart. Since that lady at the customer service ignore my request and didn't call for me or give me address or there phone so I can go. I left empty handed. Thank You Teresa Gibson/ tko7399@hotmail.com

  51. I am very disappointed in kmart. They have all these commercials about layaway but they don't tell you that if you put a layaway on in October and they do not have the item in December. they will send you the closet item to what you ordered. They don't ask you if you want it they just send it that's what I was told was their policy by operator 904021 in customer service. I would advise anyone to think before you put a online layaway with kmart. I did and now I have to go out and get my item today which is December 08 2015 and I ordered it on October 04 2015. I am very disappointed with this company. I called kmart corporate they hung up on me when I ask her what was their layaway policy, so I called back and talked to Brittany she was ok till I asked for a number to talk to someone in corporate. Brittany gave me an address to write the complaint. Here it is if anyone else need it 3333 Beverly road Hoffman estates Il. 60179. now I know why there is not many kmarts where I live

WELL,THEIR WEBSITE ORDERING is just as bad,I dont appreciate how they do business.wow, kmart ,after looking at at all the bad reviews, you need to step up your game,we accidentally clicked before we looked what address it was going to,and tried to change the address or even cancel it,and the customer service said they could not do either,it was our fault but now we have to go to another persons house to try to get our package,we just hope the people are honest and friendly,,,,all I can say is we shouldnt have to bother a family around christmas to get our package when all they had to do is cancel the order

  54. Hello, I worked for Kmart back in the 70's with one of the very best management teams at that time. I know that cause our store held the top for most volume generated in our region time after time! The store was the W. Covina, Ca. store and one thing Kmart held as important was the small costs going out for company paper use. I measured my receipt from the Huron, SD store yesterday 33" long. It has been brutal watching my first job love struggle as it has. I bet there are many ways you can cut cost in the right area and put money to areas that will make you stronge....just saying

  55. On April 4th @ 10:00 am my mother went to the KMart in Mahopac NY. She was treated horribly. The 'gentleman' she spoke to was extremely rude and refused to take the item back, we did not know it was damaged until we tried to use it. Who ever thought you should open items before purchase to check the condition? Obviously someone else returned it and it was placed back on the shelf. But what was so rude was the way he spoke to her and he then took the receipt, crumpled it and threw it into the box. I don't know where you get your employees, but this is not the person who should be standing behind the customer service counter. My mother and I will NEVER shop in a kmart again. Disgusting how customers are treated...

  56. I am commenting on your store in Kill Devil Hills, NC....one of your most profitable stores....I hate going to that store and usually only do for convenience because WalMart is too far away. The only employee who is ever helpful is Frank...he has been there forever. I go in today and they say his hours were cut to zero...shame on you. He is literally the only one ever willing to assist customers with a smile on his face. I will never shop at KMart again.....I will drive to WalMart.

  58. There is a Kmart store (#7625 in Los Angeles on Vermont) down the street from my workplace that I've stopped by several times now to pick up baby formula. Because it's close and on my way home, it should be convenient but it most certainly is not. They keep the formula locked in a case near the rear of the store, I assume to prevent theft. That's the only thing I go there for, so I go straight to the Customer Service Desk to request to have it opened. There is always a long wait. I usually have to go back to the counter multiple times before someone finally comes to open it. If someone does come to open it, they usually don't have the right key, so there's more waiting. Yesterday, I just couldn't do it. After waiting for someone to come to the case, she informed me that she didn't have the correct key (no surprise there). She then informed me that she'd go try to find the key but she didn't know how long it was going to take. Why is it so difficult and time consuming to get a box of formula???!!! Does Kmart not want to sell it? I left because that scenario had happened too many times already. It's not even that the store is so packed that all the employees are busy. It's usually a ghost town. They just have no sense of urgency or concern to provide timely assistance to their customers. I decided it would be more convenient to go to the TARGET store in my neighborhood. I'd have to drive a little bit past my house, but I could grab what I needed without a hassle (they actually keep it on a shelf that customers can access themselves). I will not be going to this or any other Kmart store ever again.

  59. I am a 76 yr old woman that lives on a very restricted budget...I went to Kmart in December to purchase some shoes, slippers and shirts ....I don't drive so I didn't have the opportunity to try these things on, I went by my normal size. The gal at the register said I could always bring any of what I purchased back if they didn't fit. When I tried them on at home some of the shirts didn't fit along with the shoes. The slippers were sewed over lapping so they could not even be tried on. Again I was given a ride to the Kmart where I purchased these items which I might add is quite a long way from my home . These items ...totaling almost 80 dollars and only to be told they would not take them back....it's was against their policy they said.....why didn't the gal that took my money tell me that there was only a 30 day return policy. Now I am stuck with things I cannot use and out $80.00 of my money....I guess Kmart doesn't give a hoot about their customers.....and I guarantee that I nor my entire family, all my friends at church will never EVER shop at Kmart again....... they deserve to have their doors shut for lack of ethics....

  62. I have made a phone call to your cooperate office to file this complaint , however I am documenting it as well so more than one person will hear of it. After reading all of the above comments , I'm surely not surprised of what happened to me!
My sister who lives 45 minutes away from me purchased a pair of pajamas and a pair of slippers for me for my birthday from the Mt Pleasant Pa. Kmart last night and gave them tome today. When she gave them to me, they was to small, so she drove to the above Kmart to EXCHANGE THEM, They was gift wrapped by her and she didn't have her receipt with her but only wanted to exchange them as stated, so she took them back and they WOULDNOT exchange them for the same product in a bigger size. because She paid with her Sears charge and didn't have her card with her either because she didn't take her purse as this store is only 5 minutes away from me. Well they refused to look up her number and would not let her exchange them so she had to re-buy the SAME pajamas in a bigger size. She returned to me and those also didn't fit , the sizes were way off , as I have worn the same size for twenty years. I told her that I would return them because she had already went there once. I then contacted the manger Steve via phone and asked him if I returned to the store and could not find pajamas that fit, if he could simply return the money to my sisters card, he said "yes we can look up her card number and if not Ill issue a gift card , but it should be no problem" He was also informed that I wanted to make sure because she lived almost an hour from this particular store and I didn't want her to have to come back from her home location. He was very nice an assured me that it would not be a problem.
I went up to that particular Kmart and proceeded to get the replacement pajamas and slippers and then took then up to the service desk along with the ones that I was exchanging. The girl Hailey rang them up and said she had to give me the 12.50 difference in cash or gift card, I then told her that I spoke to manager Steve and he said that the balance could be returned to my sisters card, she said "No ,I cant do that!" Also was very rude about it. I then told her to get manager Steve, she called him and he DENIED ever talking to me and said "No , give her a store credit " and hung up the phone. I then said No I don't want a store credit , I want the cash refund because I am going to see to it that my sister NEVER shops here again!! I did not raise my voice , or was rude to her! She gave me the cash and then walked away and didn't even bag my merchandise!! She walked away and waited on another customer at the lottery area!! I then was rude and said "what? I don't even get a bag?" she did not even acknowledge me and I walked out because at this point I was furious, and all of this to simply EXCHANGE the pajamas for the same ones in a bigger size!! I OR MY FAMILY (AND I HAVE A BIG ONE) WILL NEVER SPEND OUR MONEY HERE AGAIN!! INEXCUSABLE TREATMENT FOR A SIMPLE EXCHANGE!!

401 W Route 38, Moorestown. This is the store where I just had a very disturbing experience. May I state first of all that I am 70 years of age and I don't tend to drive around in my car looking to return a broken can opener except to the place which I purchased it. Just bought their most expensive model (13.99) merely 2 weeks ago. When I mentioned this to my wife, she said to bring it back. They will at the very least give you another one. In all my experiences with this store; they were always most cooperative, until NOW. I did not have a receipt but after 2 weeks, who in the world WOULD. I went to courtesy (lol). The girl who was behind the desk said that without a receipt, there is NOTHING they could do. I said that I "wanted to speak with the manager".
"She can't she is in a conference call". The words were barely out of my mouth, so now I know she's lying to me; hoping that I will just say "Oh well, I'll take my BROKEN can opener home and cry". Again, I say "I insist on seeing the manager; I will go to the shelf and bring up the duplicate so she can see it is indeed their product. I was gone less than 90 seconds because the entire wall of can openers was nearly empty; but SURPRISE the conference call ended abruptly and there was the manager who was already forced fed the bad side of me by the "LIAR". I stood there and waited while she talked with another employee. I asked her if I could have a word with her; but believe me when I say "her mind was made up". I guess you can file this under the:
OH I'll take care of him"
section, which I am guessing she told the LIAR when she tainted me to be a lunatic.
I told her that I absolutely bought the can opener there; but they have no more. I'm not here to rip you off, I'm just looking for a store credit.
"Well, sir, unfortunately our policy has changed if you paid CASH there is nothing we can do without a receipt". I countered with "But you can see that it is your brand name on it"......nothing. I told her that my wife and I have been coming in their establishment for a very long time. Again she reiterated with a bunch of UNFORTUNATELY blah blah. She made absolutely NO ATTEMPT to help. I did not get the mgr.s name but she was short, Latina...I think and this occurred at 15:30 hours. Obviously, it is not the amount of money; but I am from the era that the customer is always right and do everything in your power to not let them walk away in disgust; which is exactly what the two of them wanted. They wanted to show the other employees that started to gather that she was going to win this argument come hell or high water. You know what, she DID win the argument; however my wife nor my gang of kids have been forbidden to set foot in that place ever again and believe me they could care less. They said "Dad, it's a dump"; but I repeated myself, well then do it for me. Nobody should be allowed to rip people who are good customers without fear of reprisal.
I hope someone has a talk with this manager and the LIAR about customer service because there certainly was none displayed in this store on the corner of Rt. 38 and Lenola Rd. in Moorestown N.J.
Forgot to mention my phone number which is 856-437-5676

  66. I shop at the Kmart in Salem.Oregon. I mostly enjoy shopping at your store. How ever, I am 5 ft. tall. Since your store has had a remodel, I find it very difficult to shop for women's clothing there. A person needs to be 6ft. tall in order to reach some of the clothing. This makes what should be a pleasant shopping experience and very UNPLEASANT shopping experience! Linda D. 503-585-7010

  67. Kmart Sucks! Will not accept a return of 2 cheap pairs of shorts that I purchased 50 days ago. The tags are still on them and I have the original receipt. They refuse to accept 2 pais of $ 5.99 pais of shorts because I purchased over 30 days ago. WTF What's happening in the retail world today?? Will think twice before going to Kmart or Sears

  68. I frequently drive by the K Mart store on Highway 31 in Gardendale, Al. Never very many cars in the parking lot - translated not many customers in the store. I thought I would go into that store rather than fight the crowd at Wal Mart. Well, my experience was less than acceptable. I tried to purchase a flameless candle. At the check out register, the candle rang up $6.99; I stated that the shelf where I picked up the candle and checked the item codes had a sale sticker on the shelf for $3.74. The clerk attempted to call someone to check, no response. She asked me to go bring her the sticker which I did. She saw the code number and the sale price. Another employee came up and said, "I'll go check it out." She was gone for a few minutes, came back and said that the candles were on sale but the sticker was on a shelf not with the candles. Keep in mind I had the sticker at the register. I stated, "not true, there were 6 candles behind that sticker." Next, the clerk at the register had to call for someone to come and override the price. Normally, I would walk out, but this was such a joke, such incompetence that I remained to see it through. Needless to say, I'm done with K Mart and that experience would also explain the few cars in the parking lot on any given day.
