I have been to two of your Kmart stores here in Columbus Ohio and both stores have VERY poor Customer Service manners. I was at the Grove City Store and they didn't have the Sale item in stock, nor did the want to even check another store for me. I then contacted the Olentangy River Road store and was put on hold for over 10mins. I ended up talking with Vickie (the manager) and she was more helpful. If you are going to advertize a product, you should make sure that you have the stock available for the customer to purchase, or at least advise as to when the product will be available and post in your ad then. This is why the Meijer Stores lost my buisness, their Customer Service was HORRIBLE and they too never had stock. I am regretfully another VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. Maybe this is why so many stores have closed. Something to think about !!! C. Wolfe-Grandmother
ReplyDeleteMy "fiance" recently purchased me an engagement ring from Kmart. There was a lovely proposal and I was very happy. The Kmart jewelry department worker offered him ring sizing at the time of purchase but he made a rain check excited to go ahead and give me the ring. After the excitement we went back to Kmart to have it sized. The Kmart worker took the ring and explained they would call us when it's ready, no problems. Very excited when we got the call!, we drove there in a hurry so I could wear my beautiful ring. Only to find out when I put it on my finger that the diamond set had been smashed, bent, and scuffed up!!!!!!!! We show the managers & they all agree that, well, it looks like shit! And the answer to this problem is THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE I CHOSE KMART TO SIZE MY RING!!!!!! What kind of service is that?? I trusted my ring would be taken care of but instead it was ruined and its MY FAULT because I trusted KMART to do it! So they already declined fixing it & they proceed to tell me no refund either?? I'm furious! I did end up getting the refund but my ring is gone. The ring that my fiance presented to me in our special moment is GONE! That was irreplaceable!! No money will give me my precious moment back. Now I am "engaged" & have no ring to show for it!!!! I WILL NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH KMART EVER AGAIN & I WILL SPREAD THE WORD ON HOW HORRIBLY I WAS DONE!! THANKS ALOT KMART!!
ReplyDeleteI tried to order 6 panels for layaway of Eclipse Curtains Kent Grommet Thermapanel Solid Color Stripe Thermaback. In chocolate, 42 x84. I called customer service & was given an email address. I emailed several times & asked for assistance. I requested for the rep to make a phone call & let me know when this new item would be back in stock in a store near me. She returned my email, refusing to help. She told me to take care of the problem myself. I don't think she even read the email because she said online prices are different than on store, which wasn't my issue. I emailed repeatedly to a supervisor & was given the same response. I was told by the supervisor to find the informatoon out myself, again by calling the store. I explained repeatedly that I called the store, they don't know when an item will be in stock, but the customer service rep & supervisor knew that I wouldn't be able to solve this by calling the store, This was their way to blow off the request. Now I am very angry & frustrated. Kmart customer service reps & the supervisor are the laziest, most incompetent, rude, unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. The supervisor should be demoted. It is their job to find this information out for me & they refuse. Why can't they do their jobs? Is is that hard to make a call & find out information & make an attempt to perform their customer service job duties? I will be reporting them to corporate headquarters in the orning, and I will NEVER SHOP AT KNART AGAIN! KMART CAN POUND SAND, JUST LIKE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REP & SUPERVISOR TOLD ME TO DO!!!
ReplyDeleteI worked for Kmart in north las Vegas nv and they treat customers and employees like crap.

ReplyDeletei work at the Kmart on Okeechobee blvd in west palm beach and the managing staff attitudes stink you can never get time off even if you request it 2-3 weeks ahead of time it has happen to me so many times its good to work there but the attitude of some people in management is bad.
ReplyDeleteI put in a layaway at the Kmart in Detroit, MI at store#9814. At that time I was offer an 8 week or 12 week layaway, which I when for the 12 week. Thinking this will give me more time to paid off my balance. I wasn't told that the cancellation fee and layaway fee would double with the 12 week layaway. When I walk into the layaway dept there is a sign that says $10.00 cancellations fee and $5.00 layaway fee. It doesn't say "start" at $10.00 calcellations fee or layaway fee "start at" $5.00. This is misleading. I didn't know that Kmart had a 12 week layaway until it was offer to me. The bottom line is that if you are offering a 12 week layaway that the customer is told there will be double fees if you cancel so that the proper decision is made by the customer. I'm not asking for anything just would like to see this policy changed. I have used Kmart layaway many time and only knew about an 8 week layaway. Althought it is on the layaway receipt but we don't get this receipt until after the money is paid and you've already agreed to the 12 week layaway.
ReplyDeleteI had a job interview for a admin/clerical position. The interview was on a friday w/Melissa the interview went well. I was told I would be meeting w/the corporate manager on Monday at 1 pm for a second interview. I got all dressed up expecting my interview. When I went to the customer service desk and told them why I was there, the clerk at the front desk paged Melissa at that point. I was told that the corporate manager had to run to another store on a emergency and my interview was cancelled and they would personally call me back w/in a week to reschedule the interview. I should have been called before I showed up for my interview, my time is as valuable as Kmarts. It's been over a month and I have not heard a word back from Kmart/Beckley WV. I just seen the same admin/clerical position in my email from indeed job search so they are continueing to look for someone, possibly who they hired didn't work out or quit. I personally would never work for this company after being so rude to a customer {which I was} or after being treated so poorly after a interview. This doesn't say much for the company. I will never make any other purchases from this or any other Kmart store.
ReplyDeleteOur kmart is closing in freeport, IL, it's bad enough that all the media is being done on sensata, now kmart takes even more jobs away, that's not a very good move on kmarts part, why can't they just use the store as a lost for taxes, and leave our people alone.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I disagree with employees being forced to work their Thanksgiving holiday I was one those people out shopping Thanksgiving morning. I shopped at one of the Kmarts in Owensboro KY and was so impressed with the employees that I had to actually comment. Management either took time to instruct the employees or they hand picked the best ones to work this day because they were super. This was the best shopping experience that I've had in years. The employees were so pleasant, cheerful and helpful it was amazing. I hope that these employees get some appreciation for not only working their holiday, but for the great attitude they displayed for Kmart.
ReplyDeleteI would like to say how the Kmart in Wall, Nj. Has a great deal of rudeness going on. The boss Jeff and manager Michelle are rude as well. I witnessed the attack on a female this evening and was very upset. She did noting wrong but try to help. She is always pleasant and polite. She works with the Salvation Army and it urt me to see her in tears today. Michelle does not know how to talk to people. I have seen her scream and yell at employees. If you ask me Michelle and Jeff are too friendly with one another being married in all.I feel that they need to be replaced. When corporate and other big shots come they try to act as if they are nice and their store is running great. They are as rude as their customers.
ReplyDeleteI contacted the corporate office about a problem I had with some prices in the jewelry department. I spoke to the jewelry associate got one explanation, spoke to another person in management, got another explanation, & spoke to the jewelry department manager & got another answer.called the corporate office about this matter& never revived a call back.I have pictures of what I seen, so who do I talk to now.As of now I will not be returning back to Kmart for any reason.a very dissatisfied customer.
ReplyDeleteBack in November 2012 I placed a layaway order online. Paid it off to have it arrive just a week before Christmas. One important item ordered was a Craftsman cordless drill. However, when the box arrived I DID NOT receive the drill. What I received was an hammer head attachment. I quickly call customer service only for them to tell me that I had to re-order and pay a 2nd time for the item while they process the refund. I opt to just return the item. I was told that I would be sent a label via email...NO, no label until I called 3 times. Finally got label to return item, it was then received by KMART on 1/9/2013. I called to check and was told I will be issued my refund by Jan. 23rd or the 24th at the latest. Today is March 11, 2013 and still NO REFUND. I had just got off the phone with KMART customer service again only to be told they could not find any notes on my acct & told me no refund was ever issued so they are NOW going to look further into it and try to refund me. All I can say is after my refund has been issue, I will NEVER again shop or order KMART.
ReplyDeleteI have called two of your stores in the Dayton area. Your store located at 601 Woodman Dr. has to have some of the rudest employees I have ever dealt with. I was left on hold, hung up on, the manager did not pick up, and to make matters worse after calling the 4th time, the person had the nerve to ask me what am I looking for. If the store is short of manpower she should have told me that and asked if she could help me. No wonder people are choosing to go other places to shop. Kmart used to be a household name now I see why most of the stores have been closed.
