  1. I was on a trip to Valdosta, GA last weekend and as we were ready to return home, a couple of lights lit up on the dashboard, including the check engine light. I took the car to Langdale Honda-Kia and they took me in immediately. Two hours later, we were on the road home and had no problems on the trip. Two days later, received a phone call from the dealership checking to see that we got home okay. Two days later received a copy of the warranty work that was done. I was very impressed with their service and follow-up.

  2. Can you guys please release the song for your 2012 Kia Sorento "Call It" commercial. Its rumored that it was especially made for the commercial. There are tons of people who want to hear the whole song. Just because the sound bite itself was spectacular. We gratefully appreciate it.

  3. I bought a 1998 Kia Sephia for $1,000.00 for my daughter when she was a senior 2009. She went to college in Idaho and drove the car back and fourth for 3 years. This last past year she couldn't drive " white rhino" , because of a bad axle. My husband now drives it back and fourth to work. Best grand I ever spent on a car. Who ever reads this blog in the Kia headquarters I just you would like to know. Now I have to try and find another car for my daughter I hope I can find one as good as I did and with in my budget as I did the first time.

  4. My husband & I went 130 miles out of town to a Kia dealer on June 29th 2012 and purchased a 2012 Sedona, as we could not buy a 2013 because they are not making any this year.
There was a rebate in place by Kia Sedona for a $4000.00 rebate,
the dealer told us we had to come back the next day (SATURDAY JUNE 30,2012 and pick up the new car) and remove it from the lot and if we waited until July 02,2012 we would totally lose the $4000.00 rebate. Now we know the rebate was good until JULY 7, 2012 SO WHAT IS UP WITH THIS PICTURE?
We wanted to pick up the new Sedona on Monday JULY 2,2012 as we had company coming to our home to visit from N.C. and the DEALER SAIID (NO) THIS CAR HAS TO BE OFF THE LOT ON JUNE 30, 2012 OR WE WOULD LOSE THE REBATE FOR THE CAR.
My husband is almost 80 years young & very upset over what took place at this Kia dealership.
I am quit a bit younger, however I would never go to another KIA DEALERSHIP AGAIN.

  5. I had just purchased a new 2013 Kia Sorrento on June 23, 2012. I traded in my Toyota on this day and the M&M Kia Motors dealership in Waldorf, MD told me that they would pay off my Toyota. Well, let’s just say that I am going into my second payment with the Kia Motors and I am still paying a car note for the Toyota, in which I do not have. Secondly, being that the Sorrento is new and I was the only owner, I was baffled at the problems that I have had with this new SUV. My first incident was a few days after receiving the SUV, I noticed that the passenger side floor was soaking wet. Because the local area just had an awful storm, when I reported it the dealership in Waldorf where I purchased the SUV, they ask me if I left the windows down. At this point I was taken back by there response. Needless to say, I took the car in to be look at and they told me that I needed to schedule an appointment. After nearly two weeks after having the SUV and waiting for my appointment date on Saturday July 7, 2012, I notice that the car was shaking when I was using the A/C and at a stop light. The shaking was so bad that it felt like I was having a seizure after being out of the SUV. I brought the shaking to the attention of the service department at Waldorf when they were fixing the A/C problem (by the way that the A/C vent was clogged up) and they told me that they could not find anything wrong with it. They even had me test drive the SUV with them. I asked them if the shaking was cause by the A/C leaking in the car and he told me he did not know and that he will keep the ticket open since he could not fix the shaking (the ticket was closed that day). Lastly, on July 16, 2012 after coming home from work, I notice the shaking again. This time it was worst then before. I decide to take the truck to another dealership to get a second opinion. When I arrived at the Branch Ave Kia Motors in Temple Hills, MD it was 4:15pm. I was directed to the service department and explain to them of the shaking of my car. Once again, I was asked to test drive the SUV with one of the service guys and they did not hear anything wrong with it and wanted me to come back tomorrow because their service department closes at 5:00pm (but yet the sign says 7:00pm). At this point I was disgusted. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for the next day for 3:30pm. Not to mention, that I had to ask for time off to leave work on an emergency to get this matter resolved about my NEW SUV. I arrived back at the dealership in Temple Hills, MD at 3:15pm, immediately my car was move to the back to be checked out. After waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes, I decided to check the status of my car. The service guy told me that they did find some problem with the car after putting it on the diagnostic and that they were waiting on Kia Motors Headquarter to call them back on how to fix the problem. The service guy asked me if there was any way that I can leave me car or come back early tomorrow for them to fix the problem because their service department closes at 5:00pm. At this point in time I was PISSED OFF. I could not understand how a BRAND NEW SUV year 2013 could have so many problems when the car I had for 4 years did not cause me any problems. Anyway, I told the service guy that they only way I can leave my car is if I receive a loaner car for the day because I needed to get back and forth to work. He informed me that they do not give out loaner cars and I would need to come back tomorrow. I left with my so called BRAND NEW 2013 KIA SORRENTO because there was nothing that the guy could due without speaking to his manager who was not there. Overall, I am at a point were I am like FUCK this and this brand new car. With the short period of time, and with the car being new , I can not understand why I am experiencing so many problems.

  6. I bought the Kia Optima in the month of March. Right away I felt the car move suddenly side to side. It wasn't that I moved the steering wheel, it was more of a sudden that you felt the car swerve. I told the dealership about it and they said it was normal. That usually all new, and small, cars do that. They also said that it did that because the tires were getting grip on the road and that what ever crack or lines that the road had, the tire would follow that line or crack. They were so convincing so I just went along and gave it another chance. After one or two weeks I still felt that sudden move, so I told my wife to take it back to the dealership. They told her the same thing. The only new information they gave was that the tires were over filled with air, so the pressure was high, and so, that was the reason for the car's sudden swerving. Their solution was to lower the air pressure in the tires. That made only a slight difference, but not much. It has been five months and I still feel it doing that. My wife goes to school and has to drive 45 minutes or more, so it is really important for me that she feels safe, and she doesn't. I've mentioned it to some relatives and they all tell me the same thing, that there might be something wrong with the car. Another family member mentioned that he had bought a truck and that it did the same thing, despite the fact that it's a truck and it's much heavier than a 4 cylinder car. He said that the dealership came to his house and took the truck to fix it for him. I am tired of taking it to the dealership because they don't do nothing about it. My mother has a Chevy Aveo, which in fact is a much smaller car than mine, and it doesn't do that. I really don't want to go to extremes but if the dealership doesn't do anything about it, I rather give up the car and have my credit suffer, than to suffer the consequences in a car accident. So fix the car or give me another one!

    1. Dude I think we go to the same dealership. They replaced my tpms sensor after more than a year of it turning on and it turned on again (after it was replaced the same day) and my mom called and all they could tell her were three excuses. 1)It was the colds fault. 2)the tire pressure was low. but they checked that supposedly in the check up. 3) something was stuck in the tire. Eventually we got a call from customer service from Kia but we are still waiting for a response. I don't know what to think about some of these dealerships. We have a dodge and that dealership does a much better job.

  7. Kias are good vehicles. Just do not take them to Lujack's Auto Plaza in Davenport Iowa for service. You will wait days for service then they will diagnose your vehicle wrong. This will cause you to wait once again. You have to go to the counter and try to get there attention just to be greated rudely. If I ever buy a Kia again it will not be through them. Avoid Lujack's of the Quad cities like the plauge.

  9. About a month ago I tried to trade in a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE which I owed free and clear for a 2012 Kia Sorento. The manager at Grossinger Kia in Lincolnwood IL is a pure jerk. His name is Bryan and he uses profane language. Stay away from this dealer. I went to Naperville Toyotaa and leased a 2013 Highlander. The experience was incredibly easy and honest to say the least. The KIA boses at hedquorter should look into the matter as this manager drives customers away.

  10. I had recently went to kia to lease a new optima 2013. They were very helpful. Although I was promised a deal that I would pay 197.50 a month. I traded in my car that I had owened and got the car. I filled out paper work and was told to come back filling out more paper work. Three weeks had went by eith a different story. I would have to fiance my car not lease it with a higher payment. Three hours later I was mot promised my original deal. I had to find a cosigner and have a higher payment from the original offer of 197.50. They ridiculed me abd my family

  12. We just viewed one of your commercials, where a gentleman was checking out a car and kicked the wheel. Then the woman robot kicks the gentleman (customer) and he is slammed against the wall and falls on the table. That was horrible...inexcusable ...it started out good-showing the car and then..boom...violence turned me off...hate it!

  13. I keep seeing your TV ads and I just want to say you really should fire your advertising firm. The family who squeezes their sorento in a tight parking spot. but to do so he has to screw the other drivers on each side. That is so suppose to emulate the types of people who buy your car. I will pass

  14. Just fire your ad company or you will risk losing america. Just about every ad upsets people. The family squeezing their Sorento in tight parking spot is so bad, i will never walk in your showroom.

  15. We bought a 2013 Optima in April. It was a used vehicle that had been a rental. The car drives beautifully and is very comfortable. However we have noticed that the paint on the hood is flaking off in several areas. The spots are about the size of a needle point. I am sure it would not be noticeable if the car was a light color but it is deep red. We took it to the local Kia dealer in Cape Girardeau, Mo. twice in the past 2 months. So far they have not been helpful at all. Supposedly there is a specialist that comes to the dealer every month or 2 and he will check it when he comes. I really think we are getting a run around. Does anyone know who we should contact?

  21. I was recently purchasing a 2007 kis sorento from a local dealer in corpus christi texas loved the car. Had it for 6 months when my husband was in a single car accident which totaled my kia. It was not until this accident that we found out that there were 23 recalls on this car and we were not informed of any of them. My husband is lucky to be alive. I'm surprised you have not been sued. Im seriously thinking about it

  22. In 2004 I bought a brand new Kia Sorento. I was in love with my Kia, even though I have the same problems other costumers had, leaking coolant, head lights burning, gas sensor not working, door handle broke, mileage digital screen not working, a/c not working..etc I was hoping to keep the Kia until it dies. I barely drive my car 93k, for work I drive the company car and only drive the Kia on my days off. Basically the car is always park in my garage, We have always done the services with the Kia dealership as requested to keep the 100,000 miles/10 year warranty. I live in the Northeast were we got a lot of snow, but my husband is very meticulous on keeping the car is always very clean, snow/salt clean, engine clean etc. Recently I was involved in a minor fender bender and when we brought the Kia to the body shop to be fixed the owner call us to informs us of the rusty condition of the chasis. He was surprise about the bad condition of the under car and told us that for the year of the car, the mileage and the good condition we kept our car it shouldn't be like this. He even contacted the dealer and sent photos to the dealer. I contacted Kia about it and the person even insinuated that the car must be submerged under water to be like that. Are you kidding me? That is the only area under the car that is rusty. All I had received from Kia is excuses. Bottom line is that the frame is the most important part of a car and it should be made of good quality materials. This is a liability issue!!! Other cars companies back up their products for example Toyota. I am pretty sure that there are other Kia owners out there that have the same problem and are not aware of that. If I didn't have this accident I will never be aware of this dangerous condition in my car, since overall it looked like new inside and outside. The brake line pass between the chasis and the gas tank and it broke while the car was being repaired because it was very rusty . Imagine if that happened while I was on the road. Kia owners please look under your cars! I am very disappointed with Kia, will I ever buy or recommend a Kia to someone? Definitely not.

  23. I bought a Kia Rio in Madison Wi in March 2014. We were told that we would need to go to Best Buy to get a wire for the satellite (erroneous info as the car already had satellite radio). I had the bill put in front of me and told that was what I needed to pay. The amount was not what I had agreed upon and was in their favor and it was wrong by hundreds of dollars. I was put in the waiting room after paying cash at 730pm in the evening and told I had to wait for documentation. When I needed to change the title to two persons I was told to come in at 900am the next morning and when I called that morning at 908am and they told me he wasn't there and would arrive at 10. He was there and they didn't know it. They didn't give me my second key for the new vehicle as he was too busy and I had to go in and grab it off his desk. They didn't tell me I don't have a spare tire and when I mentioned I didn't have one they said they would order one and then never did order it. And on and on and on. They get 0 out of 10.

  24. In 2005, we purchased our '06 Kia Spectra5. It has served us, as well as our daughter who has the car now, very well. Its tough, comfortable and, holds quite a bit for its size as well as getting decent gas mileage and, stylish looks. Dealer support is incredible as well. This is our second Kia and, we have had a Hyundai as well ... so, we are familiar with both Kia and its now-parent company.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for Kia Motors Finance Co. in Fountain Valley, CA. Their telephone agents have monstrous attitudes and the corporate attitude is even worse. After buying the car and before the first payment, I had a deer run into the front end. I made the first payment and, was given a "pass" on the second in order to be able to replace the R headlight. I didn't mind doing this as it DID help us out.
However, about a year later I requested a pass due to a temporary hardship, the "agent" wanted to repo the car! I wrote to Kia, informing them of how this was going down and they, allowed the "pass". Then, from that point on, it was a financial nightmare! Anytime we fell behind I received the most nasty phone calls which, as a retired disabled Army Captain, felt were totally unwarranted. But, even though we did get behind at times, I always made it up ... until it came time for our last payment. I had thought, and had NOT BEEN INFORMED BY KIA OTHER-WISE, that the 5 passes would be added onto the 5 months AFTER THE DATE OF THE LAST PAYMENT. It wasn't. Kia demanded a $4,250 FINAL PAYMENT last May which no one, outside of Daddy Warbucks, could do. Instead, I said I'd make 1 1/2 payments from May-Dec and, pay off the car. They agreed and I did so, for 3 months.
Then I found out that they put NEGATIVE info on my credit report!
I then reduced it to the regular payment, and as time grew closer, even reduced that if we had a problem. This March, saw me make what I had believed to be the last payment and, without utilizing bad language, told them to stick their financing company and system to where the sun don't shine! I then sat back to await the title (NB: I had purchased a used '08 smart fortwo Passion Cabrio two years ago and, just traded it in on a new Fiat 500 Pop ... both finances companies, the latter being Chrysler laughed at what Kia had done and, gave us both a decent deal and treatment).
I just found out, after having contacted a lawyer but, doing this on my own, that we STILL owe Kia Motors Finance Co. $664.96! They did NOT contact me after my pithy letter due to the fact that "charge off'" car loans are never contacted. This is intolerable. They accepted my pay plan without hesitation, badgered me for 7 years when I fell behind and, after falling short, due to an error on my part, just left it there!
I called Kia Motors Finance this morning in order to ascertain the CEO/CFO/COO of the finance company and, the agent I dealt with, Savanna 04395, refused to give it to me! I am writing this plus checking in the library on the officer's name. I do not want to send it to a title, I WANT (and, deserve) to CONTACT THIS GUY, IN PERSON. I don't mind having purchased the car but, their finance company (as verified by the dealer ... who has been a ROCK for us ... I even made a TV commercial for him!) is not to be trusted or, used if you want fair treatment. I am contacting legal help to have the negative info taken off and, straighten this out.
The car has been good ... WALK AWAY though, if you go through Kia Motors Finance Co., they eat their dead!

  26. Me and my husband bought a 2014 kia optima from kia of novi in novi mi Feldman kia this was our first kia purchase ever and had a terrible experience buying it and will never buy another kia as long as we live or tell anyone we know to buy a kia.we went to the dealership on a Saturday upon getting approved wewere rushed thru the paper work the finance guy said he had to go get his son guy said to come back on Monday and he would go over the paper work with us upon me and my husband getting reading thru the paper work our selves we found they put gap insurance on the vehicle as well as a ten year warranty and didn't ask us if we wanted it they just put it on there anyway and didn't tell us. We came back that Monday and asked them to cancel the gap insurance and the ten year warranty and that's when the problem really began. They told us it would take about two weeks to be taken off of our contract. We called them they told us the checks are in the mail then they told us the checks are on the way and they have been mailed out then said the checks have to be signed. As you can see this is very flustrating because we are being strung along and told us we were calling to much then began to get rude with us. After that we began to get rude back with them because now we are flustrated they told us we were ban from all the kia dealerships in novi mi and we were told to bring the car back for an oil change because it was free. We absolutely did not want to deal with these people anymore we absolutely did not want to deal with these people. WE took the car to ann arbor mi kia dealership to get our free oil change they told us it has to go back to the dealership you purchased it from for the first free oil change. Upon my arrival at kia of novi we insisted repeatedly told them not to run the car thru the car wash at all multiple times. When my wife went to check on the car to see how much longer it would be we found it it was taken thru the car wash. My wife walked around the car and found small hair scratches on the car the service manager said"how do I know that came from us' sarcastically and said have a nice day. The finance manager got involved and we called novi police to issue a damage report. When the officer arrived the finance manager told him we were calling the dealership to much and that they didn't feel they caused damage to my car. He also admitted they messed up and said we did tell them not to run the car thru the car wash. But he did not tell the officer they owe us money. The officer said he has a black car and agreed that you don't run a black car thru a car wash he said he has a black car and hand washes it also. As you can see this whole experience has been horrible. Still to this day we have not received our money yet. Wouldn't you be upset if someone owed you money?. When you take something from someone without asking its called stealing.
