  1. I left a comment on 2/17/2012 pertaining to the issue I was having with Southwest Kia of Rockwall, TX. I am pleased to announce that a higher finance rep. did finally make contact with me after several weeks of attempting to resolve the issue with the misleading extended warranty the original finance rep. sold me. This guy, Paul Morgan, was GREAT! He not only went out of his way to get the the 10 yr. / 100K mi. bumper-to-bumper warranty the other guy had originally mislead about, but he also, at no additional charge to me, upgraded me to the plantinum plan with a vanishing deductable. I would've been happy just to have them cancel the original extended warranty Gary had mislead me into buying, but thanks to Paul Morgan going the extra mile to take care of a customer, my family and I know have a 2012 Kia Sedona with a 10 yr. / 100K mi. platinum extended bumper-to-bumper warranty to go along with the 10 yr. / 100K mi. factory powertrain warranty. THANK YOU MR. PAUL MORGAN OF S.W. KIA OF ROCKWALL, TX! KIA NEEDS MORE FINANCE PEOPLE LIKE YOU!! P.S.- Correction on the 2/17/2012 post: It was 22 miles that was added to our vehilce by a 2nd test driver, not 32, but either way, no one else should've been allowed to test drive the vehcile we were in the process of purchasing

    2. I recently purchased a 2013 Kia Optima EX and took it in to have the windows tinted when a garage door closed on top of it. This may not be a big deal to you people but it is to us. We are not rich & take pride in our cars and I take car of my mother who is 80yrs old & purchased this car for us to drive her to her doctor appointments. We need a good sturdy car. I do not feel comfortable keeping this car now. We got a brand new car as to not worry about any problems. For this carelessness to happen really upsets us. Now that will forever be on the cars title that it has been damaged. I do not want this car anymore. I have been waiting for your call and all I am getting from your department is the run around. Also I never was even given the opportunity to look at the car and the damage. Everyone was super nice when I was buying the car but now no one seems to care about my distress. My family all got there cars from your dealership. I am feeling like we no longer matter. Hopefully I will be hearing from you today. As per Gina Naborre they were all waiting to speak to you. I have been hearing that since Saturday. The car is under my mother . We look forward to your help in this matter. I need help in this matter and no one is calling me back.

    3. I too cannot get ANYONE (GENERAL MANAGER-Derek Daniels) to return my calls regarding an issue with the Finance Director and Salesman, Ifonsio, from KIA at Thorton Road, Lithia Springs Georgia. The Finance Director is extremely unprofessional raising his voice as I complained that the salesman said oil changes are INCLUDED in the 60,000 warranty--only to find that after I took my car in for Service and Oil Change, he LIED. The Finance Director was deceptive in that he said he was the one in charge and there is no one else at the dealership to help me. Once I found that the Finance Director was not the one in charge, I contacted the General Manager---Derek Daniels several times, who has not returned any of my calls.

The Finance Director stated that there is NOTHING they are going to do with the lies the salesman, Ifonso, said and the Finance Director went to get the salesman to tell me that he did not say that....After the Finance Director followed me out of the dealership raising his voice, I left in hopes the General Manager would address my issues......NO RESPONSE.....NO ACCOUNTABILITY....DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP-----

  2. I have a 2007 Kia Sportage with 31000 miles on it. I took this vehicle to get it inspected & it did not pass. The test said the Catalyst: Not Ready & 02 Sens: Not Ready. I called the Service Dept at Central Kia Carrollton Texas & spoke with the Service Dept & was told that they would need to run a dignostic on the vehicle because they couldn;t tell me the drive cycle on the vehicle. The only day that I could bring it in is a Saturday but was told by the service dept that would not work because they have limited staff & couldn't pull someone away from more important work to run diagnostics. I paid cash for this vehicle & even purchased an extended warrenty & they don't have time to take care of my vehicle? Really? I finally spoke with Bill Miles & he said fine bring it in. What kind of service is this & why would I ever want to buy from Kia again? Ever since I have purchased from Kia the service has been way below expectations. This vehicle is below standards & would anyone buy a kia

    1. I too have a kia sportage , eventhou it is a 2009 model.I have been lied to since the moment I purchased it 3 years ago.first I told it has bluetooth and gps built in to it.which it doesn't, they are always asking for more money when I e xplain to them that I am on a limited buget .I don't have unlimited finances at my disposal for whenever .the staff here is by far the absolute worst and unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with.first they lost or never booked my time scheduled appointment when I showed up at the dealership ten minutes early .I just can't believe that they are more concerned on when lunchtime is rather than get me and my car its oil change and tire replacement out of their establishment while I have already been here for 2 in a half hours and counting while I am seriously thinking of venting my frustration on the top member of management here before calling their coperate phone number.

I agree about the deplorabel and unprofessionalism with Kia's staff whenever you take their car in for repairs and maintenance. It is unbelievable on how they proud themselves on the 10yr warrenty on their transmission when the warrenty was up in less then five years. OH and get this even though my kia optima is 8yrs, ended up having to drop a transmission in anyway. I dont know what it is about these workers at the dealership but they really need to learn how to treat their customers. No wonder I ended up looking for a personal mechaninc. I presented a coupon for work I would like done and got such a cold shoulder and also there is a recall about some switches with the airbag and brake light. My came on and I was told that my car was too old to be considered. Corporate Kia cant just send out notices on this to just newer models what is this. I will be sending in my request to them about this matter!

  3. We just bought a new 2012 Kia Optima and during the final "walk thru" AFTER ALL PAYMENTS WERE MADE, we were informed that there is no spare tire, nor do they provide the "donut" either. We decided to buy a tire and rim THEN...realized there is no jack or lug nut wrench. I have been trying to contact Kia headquarterswith no luck.
can someone tell me how you can spend so much on a new car and they could get away with something like this. I am totally beside myself. My husband is going to the dealer tomorrow, which won't be pretty!!

    1. I am very upset about the Kia Optima not having a spare tire kit and, no one informed me of it during purchasing. I got a flat tire and found out that I have no spare. I complained to Kia about it and was told that the Optima does not come with a spare and I should have been informed and, I could purchase a spare tire kit for $250.00. I have never, ever purchased a car new or used that did not come with a spare. Stupid ass Kia.

      Delete
    2. Same thing here. We had no idea that no spare or jack to change it. Was told "salesman should have told you".

      Delete
    3. most of the cars now being sold are like that, they will provide you with a kit to fix the flat tire and a compressor that you can plug to 12volts outlet to pump air to the tire after you inject the tire with some sealer which is included with the kit. this should be included with the car and they should explain this when you bought the car. I know they did this when I bought my 2013 optima ex.

      Delete
    4. I just experienced that same problem, I ran over a nail and put a whole in my tire. I looked for the "donut" and there wasn't one. The "fix a flat" and compressor was useless in this situation. I had to be flat bedded to a garage to have the whole plugged. If there was a donut it could of been changed and I would of been on my way. I went to the dealership to complain and to order a donut and it was going to cost $250. I wouldn't pay that. I was told it has to due with cost and weight of the spare. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!

    5. I sell Kia. I have run into this as well. As a sales person I DO address the spare tire issue. Many models have a temporary spare in the sx model line, ex on some. It has been researched that a great many flat tires are punctures through the tread. It is safer to seal and reinflate with the compressor than to have to change a tire on the side of a major highway. Not suprisingly, about 1/2 of my customers don't know how to change a tire. That is one reason we have a great roadside assistance program. Call 1-800-333-4KIA and they will come take care of it. One other thing about the spare tire, jack and lug wrench...Although it may seem like a small thing, you cut anywhere from 40 to 80 pounds of dead weight from the car= better milage. Not defending that you were not informed. A good sales person should have told you this during the initial walk around. Shame on him / her.

  4. I am interested in buying someone a car and would like to get a "ball park" idea of cost - but NO!!!! I can not at your site and it is really a turn off. I can't even send a message of feedback without registering and send my full contact info to some dealer. Why can't you give me a simple ball park price . . I can go anywhere and buy a car anywhere. You clearly are just too damned hard to deal with and you want no feed back - I cannot even send an email without my registering with my contact info to have some idiot salesman calling me. If you cannot give a ball park price - I can buy a car from another mfg. I have alotta money. Screw KIA!!!!

  5. What a turn off . Kia definitely wants to comment from customers. I want to buy a car for someone and can not get a ball park price without giving all kinds of info so some idiot salesman will call me. I cannot even send a message to KIA without giving contact info so an idiot will call me. What a turn off. I can buy a car from alotta dealer - and KIA has just defeated so many TV ads that got me here - what a turn off. Kia is a big turn off. I will buy a car - all cash - elsewhere. KIA is al big drag!!!!!!!

  6. I left my kia sedona 2005 at the service shop on july/3/2012 at west colonial kia, 3407 W colonial drive 50, Orlando Florida,32808 terminal 0229247 - I left it in good faith to fix the Drive belt and the Timing Belt. I gave them 3 days to replace those parts; however, they replace them but they forgot to put everything back, missing screws from the engine cap, missing screews from the Air filter, and they bended the Oring where the Air flow front pipe sits on and holds in place to get fresh air. moreoever, many wires under the engine cap were loose.. I paid $1,230.00 dollars for the service and thats what i get. Who knows if they doing the same with many others custumers.. I have proof and images that i want to make public cause this is the third time this happens to me and im sure had happen to many others custumers. Today 7/7/2012 i went to let them know and take a look on what they did and they said thay they were short on peple plus even watching how things look like no one tight in place what it was loose. I came home to put everything in place for myself but i make an appoitment for next friday so they can fix everything else. I was planning going out today morning so i open the front cap to see the oil and than i noticed all my car messed up badly.. I couldn`t go out because of them and no one help me. They all looked against me when i went to ask and all i get Bad faces against me. just for corporate info... invoce is c70679 Adv: AHV Luis D Pavon. contact me by email.. cause i have many pictures that i wish to share with corporate.. Might be only one person not doing his job. just think about it... what if i trust them and make my trip without taking look to the engine? i could have cause an accident and kia would be responssible for the damage.. do they care about their custumer safety? I don`t think so.. they debit my card so quick and work so bad and no one wants to be respossible. the true is i let my car in good faith and all i got is more problems. contact me at ... Oscar.paz06@mixmail.com i would love show images on what they did..

    1. look up the Better Business Bureau Auto-line. They helped me and my 2008 spectra. My engine also blew right after tranny blew at 17,000 miles.
I am waiting now for them to repurchase my car. They refused to honor my warranty over a fram oil filter. Went to arbitration and had car checked by a certified master mechanic and he said the oil filter was fine and rods and bearings were defective and caused engine failure. I was just asking to have the engine repaired and gave me a hard time to replace engine. Arbitrator ruled for kia to repurchase my car. I've been without a CAR OVER 6 MONTHS NOW.

  10. I was ready Friday to buy a new Kia (with trade-in and title in hand). I went to BIG RED KIA IN NORMAN, OK. It came down to a decision between a Sorento and a Sportage. The salesman told me there were rebates for the Sorento, Finders fees for the Sportage and several other "fees"...I told him I wanted a ball-park figure for both vehicles to make my decision easier - I truly liked both cars equally and it came down strictly to cost. He told me their "policy" was not to tell a price until I committed to buy just 1 and he couldn't tell me even a ball-park price for BOTH vehicles, only 1 and I couldn't change my mind. I asked to speak to his manager. His manager was RUDE and stated the same policy. He kept asking which vehicle I liked better and he would tell me the price of that ONE. After he stepped closer and raised his voice at me (I'm 5'4" - he is about 6'4") I told him his "policy" cost him a sale, that I would not buy from them now. He said that was fine he "didn't need my business!" So I bought a Sorento from MORITZ KIA IN FT. WORTH, TX with no problems...they obviously do NOT have the same policy as BIG RED KIA in Norman, Ok! I will NEVER do business with Big Red and will discourage anyone and everyone I know to not deal with them either! I have never been treated so rudely in my life...and still do not understand how that "policy" could make sense to anyone...I wasn't there wasting their time, they knew I was ready to buy THAT DAY!

  12. Bought a 2010 Kia forte. It was great for two years. It started acting up and it would refuse to start. We have taken it to the Kia dealership six times and every time we leave they say they have fixed the problem. They don't seem to know what is going on with my car. I gave Kia a chance to prove to me that they make better cars these days, but I have been proven wrong. It's hard going into a dealership and explaining to them what is going on with the car, along with them checking the check engine light that has the same code coming up each time. They also need to tell their customer service department to be nicer. They don't seem to think that they have to do anything for the six times that we have been inconvenienced by this problem, it's ridiculous.

  13. I just wanted to let you know about my experience today at the valley high kia in victorville.ca. I was in there several times in the past few weeks, today I saw a forte in the paper for 13,995 and wanted to see about qualifying for it.I was there at 10am, Isaihn and Jimmy was great help and with in 20min told me I needed a co-signer in order to qualify. Well with a few hours my dad came back with me to co-sign. We did all the paper work and waited to hear anything back for over 4 hours. finally we just got up and left- my daughter, father and I was starving and hurting in the butt and back from sitting so long waiting to hear anything.
After getting up and leaving- NO ONE trying to stop us, I got down the road- then guess what My phone rings its Jimmy- saying ";I am sorry its taking so long". he told me that he will call me when he gets numbers back, well it is after 8pm, and I left at 6pm and have not heard anything.
I AM SORRY YOU LOST OUT ON A LOYAL CUSTOMER, and I will be telling every one about my disappointing experience. I also will be calling the head office to let the know how this dealer ship is run. Also I will be writing the Daily press letting them know about my day long experience and how they treat their potential customers.
Many of my friends own Kia's And I see why they went down the hill to buy.

  14. On 3 September 2012. My wife and I went into the Kia Autosport dealership in Pensacola, Florida to hopefully purchase a vehicle. The floor manager Chris Jenkins while friendly at first, about an hour later of attempting to make a deal on a vehicle turned into an all out yelling match that spilled into the parking lot. Chris, my wife and I could not come to a deal so my wife and I thanked both associates that worked with us and and attempted to get up and walk to our vehicle. Mr.Jenkins proceeded to tell us how he was trying to save us money on a vehicle and so fourth. He then told me to follow him to the new vehicle we were interested in and told us he would sell it to us 2000 dollars under MSRP. At this point tensions are high between myself and Chris and he proceeds to tell my wife and I and I "I can tell by your body language you are struggling to make payments" This is when I told Chris have a nice day and again my wife and I attempted to walk away to our vehicle and drive away. Mr. Jenkins still insisted on getting his point across about how much money he was trying to save us. I told him that I was done with him and did not want to talk to him any longer as I could tell he was getting upset. I again told him to leave my wife and I alone and he replied" This is my dealership and I do not have to go anywhere" By this time there are about 8 car sales people standing in the parking lot observing there floor manager harassing me. I realized Mr. Watts the other associate had not given me my keys to my old vehicle, so while I asked Mr. Watts for my keys, he had to go back into the dealership to get them. While waiting Mr. Jenkins is still attempting to talk to me, so again I told him to leave me I told him he was being very unprofessional. I even had to walk from around my car to yell at the associates standing around observing to come get Mr. Jenkins away from me. Mr. Watts finally returned my keys and while super frustrated I blurted out towards Mr. Jenkins " So this is how you treat a U.S. Soldier" and my wife and I got in my vehicle and drove away. Mr. Jenkins embarrassed my wife and I and totally insulted us in the parking lot of a dealership. He was totally unprofessional and should have realized if the sale wasn't going to be made to walk away himself and not get into an argument with a customer because we were trying to walk away.

  15. We purchased a 2011 Kia Rio last November 2011. It had about 14000 miles on it. We had the oil changed on July 20, 2012 and 6 weeks later the car died needing a new engine. They told me that it had no oil in it. No check oil or check engine lights came on and there were no puddes under the car in my driveway. They said they would not honor the warranty because we used an after market oil filter. Then when I went there they told me to be careful because oil was dripping and there was a quart in the engine. After trying to speak to different reps and getting nowhere, my husband went to get some stuff out of the car and it was completely dead and the service mgr told him the battery must be dead. 2 days late my mechanic went up to look at it and the car started right up and made tons of noise. I told the last rep about this and he said maybe they hooked up the battery! My question is why are they even touching my car???? Then I was told that the check oil and check engine lights don't need to come on to indicate a problem. Are you kidding me??? So I filed a complaint with the consumers affairs department and am in the process of contacting the PA Attorney Generals office because this is ridiculous! They sent me an email stating that my 5 year 60000 mile warrant is still in effect but they won't fix the engine! Unbelievable!!!

I was also told that this should have been done at 25,000 miles. I purchased the car with 28,000 miles. Also the car dose not have a spare tire. There is a space for it. The dealership refuses to give me one. They tell me it's an option at $200.00. I am not paying for any of this work nor the spare tire. If I I can;t get this taken care of I m going to my local news station and having a crew sent up there, maybe then I can get something done about this problem.

THEY WANTED TO PUT ME IN A OPTIMA WITH 18.8% INTEREST AND LIED TO ME ABOUT MY CREDIT SCORE RATING THEN AT THE END OF THE WHOLE DEAL 3 WEEKS LATER AND 20 TEXT MESSAGES LATER I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS FINANCED WITH KMF WITH 2.9% AND $2500.00 IN INCENTIVES SO I COULD PURCHASE THE KIA OPTIMA SXL I WANTED FOR 1,000 UNDER DEAL COST IS WHAT I WAS ALSO TOLD. WHICH WAS ANOTHER LIE! THIS WHOLE DEAL WAS A LIE TO GET ME IN THE CAR AND THEN TOLD ME 3 DAYS LATER TO GIVE IT BACK! WHO DOES THAT? I HAVE THE PAPERWORK TO PROVE THIS BIG LIE TO ME WHEN NONE OF IT WAS TRUE. THEY NEVER HAD ME FINANCED OR COULDN’T EVEN APPROVE THE REGISTERED CAR I GAVE THEM FOR INCENTIVE. HOWEVER, THEY SURE DID TAKE MY DOWN PAYMENT OF $11,200.00 AND EVEN THE CAR REGISTRATION THEY TOOK FOR INCENTIVE. THE SALESMAN JESUS TOLD ME I WOULD QUALIFY AND HE NEVER VERIFIED IT WAS THE RIGHT COMPETITOR VEHICLE AS IT WAS A LEXUS SC COUPE! THE GM MIKE AND FINANCE MANAGER CAMILLE SANTORO WOULD DO NOTHING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT WHEN ALL OF THIS WAS MISCONCEPTIONS ON THEIR PART BECAUSE AS THE CONSUMER I KEPT MY PART OF THE DEAL.. JESUS SOTO WAS THE CAR SALESMAN AND NOW I AM BEING INFORMED AFTER 3 WEEKS OF NEGOTIATIONS AND FINALLY GOING DOWN AND PURCHASING THE VEHICLE THEY TELL ME THROUGH A TEXT MESSAGE THAT I NEEDED TO RETURN THE CAR! THAT WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AGAIN! THEY SHOULD OF CALLED AND EXPLAINED THIS EVEN IF THEY WERE LYING STAND UP AND TAKE CREDIT FOR THE BEHAVIOR! IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH THIS SITUATION TRULY AND I GAVE THEM $11,000 CASH DOWN PAYMENT. THEY WROTE UP A COMPLETE CONTRACT SOLD ME $1100.00 EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE 10/100,00 ML EVERYTHING AND LIFETIME POWERTRAIN! I WENT FOR IT AND IT AND WAS SATISFIED WITH MY OFFER. I AM NOW TOLD FROM ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHO IS TRYING TO HELP ME THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LIFETIME POWERTRAIN AND THE WARRANTY THEY ARE SELLING IS NOT EVEN A KIA WARRANTY BUT YET THAT WAS NOT DISCLOSED TO ME. WELL, TO TOP IT ALL OFF THEY WANTED ME TO RETURN THE CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN BUT DID NOT HAVE MY MONEY TO RETURN TO ME!!! WANTED ME TO TAKE A PAPER RECEIPT THAT THEY WOULD GIVE ME MY MONEY AND DRIVE 30 MINUTES AWAY FROM HOME TO KEEP COMING TO PICK IT UP AND DROP OFF VEHICLES DURING MY VACATION WEEK. MY CHILDREN ARE OUT OF SCHOOL FOR THE HOLIDAYS MY HUSBAND IS OFF OF WORK AND I AM GETTING BOMBARDED WITH LIES FROM ESCONDIDO NORTH COUNTY RUINING MY VACATION! THIS HAS AFFECTED NOT ONLY ME BUT ALSO MY WHOLE FAMILY AND THEY DON’T CARE THEY ARE RUDE AND JUST CALLOUS ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION. I WOULD LIKE THAT YOU PLEASE DON’T LET THEM HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY NAME OR REQUESTING ANYTHING ON ME AND THEY CAN HAVE THIS CAR BACK WHEN THEY GIVE ME MY FULL REFUND OF 11,200.00 I REALLY LOVE YOUR CARS BUT THIS DEALERSHIP IS AWFUL TO YOUR CUSTOMER REPUTATION. I DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC ALL THE TIME AND HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED IN SUCH A MANNER THAT HAS EFFECTED ME IN SUCH A WAY. PLEASE CALL ME FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ON THIS SITUATION. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  24. I think KIA needs to look into the complaints customers are reporting. I personally know 4 other people with the same 04 KIA Sorento and we all have the same problems! There needs to be a recall. I had my vehicle at the dealership before 100,000 miles and they failed to tell me the TCM was bad, so my car isn't shifting correctly. Oh and this is a $900 part, how convenient! The customer service is a joke and I doubt I'd ever buy another KIA. It seems they want to brag about the 100,000 mile warranty but don't want to back it up! Shame on you KIA.

  26. I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento preowned certifited 2 days ago, the night after I brought it home the brakes failed & I hit another car. When the fire dept inspected it at the scene the brake caliper was gone. So far my calls to Kia have been no big deal at all to them. "CERTIFIED 150 POINT INSPECTION". Don't look like they stand by what they say at all.

  27. Does anybody also have issues with a KIA SPORTAGE, model 2009? I have purchased a brandnew one in January 2010, which has now a leak and they do not want to have it run under warranty because allegedly the bumper was damaged why -allegedely- the seal turned around. Who is the General Manager at KIA HQ?

  28. I bought a Kia Optima 2013 on December 8, 2012 and have already brought it in for service TWICE. THE BRAND NEW 2013 OPTIMA NEEDS A JUMPSTART TO START! We drove it to the car service department, they ran diagnostic tests and "recharged" the battery and then indicated they could not recreate or find an issue with the car. "Recharging" the battery of a new 2013 vehicle sounds insane doesn't it! We took the car back home, two days later the car would not start again. We had to jump start it again and drove it back to the car service department. It's now December 19th (close to Christmas) and we do not have a car. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KIA EVER AGAIN. I'M CANCELLING THE AGREEMENT! GOOD RIDDANCE!

  32. I purchased a KIA Sorento from Transitowne Kia, in West Seneca,NY back in May of 2012. I have had an annoying rattle/ticking noise coming from under the dash board behind the radio. After making 3 different appoitments to have this fixed, I regret to say that I own a KIA. The annoying rattle/ticking noise is still present. Anyone at KIA headquarters care? How many times do I need to schedule appoitments? I am completely dissatisfied with my KIA experience.

  33. Good luck trying to find a Kia GLOBAL headquarters. I relocated my car, at the dealerships (on both sides) advice, I now have a Kia that was damaged in the move, was still under warranty when shipped and was damaged--I did get some insurance that would have covered a US company/Caribbean company to do the repairs BUT here they would not touch it, told me it was NOT under warranty, despite having told me otherwise pre-move, and further cannot fix it for near the price in USA as the parts are not available here as the car was not made here that year (2008). The car has a mere 35k Miles on it now (came under 30K) and I cannot get it registered, insurance will cost 3K euros and NOBODY will fix it. NOBODY AT ANY KIA HAS BEEN ANY HELP AND NOBODY AT ANY KIA HAS ANY ANSWERS OR SUGGESTIONS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.

  34. I am having issues with the mileage reimbursement program. I found out about the program and went online to see if my car fit the critiera. I registered my VIN # with my first and middle name, Im not sure why I did this. But when I took my car into the dealership I registered it with my first and last name. I had a lady call me and leave a voicemail and said my card was ready but Kia wasnt sure if my last name had changed or if it was another person registering their VIN #. Im sorry this has occured but I tried to call the lady back to set things straight again and I was lead to a Diabetic center. Not sure what that is about but I need to know who I need to talk to to go from here. Please let me know what else I need to do to resolve this issue.

    Thank you,

P.S. I went online to Kia and tried to send in a message and the automated system would not let me pick USA as my country. And when it gave me a pop window stating that I had not picked a country it was spelled 'contry'. Just thought I'd let someone know.

Have appx 13,000 miles on it , have to loose parts inside that more than 3 months ago was going to get ordered ,at time of service checkup . Still waiting, I have a slipping trans, and received my car back dirty. My arm rest was covered in greasy fingerprints. I have a picture. Allstar Kia only said sorry we will be more careful next time. Not good enough so discouraging.

  36. Let's not confuse the KIA brand and the human person representing it. Purchasing a car is one of the biggest expenses of the "American dream" that most look forward to commit to, and enjoy. But it is very unfortunate that customer service is so poor in some of the KIA's dealerships. The brand, quality, options for the cars are ok, and for the price, definitely better than a lot of choices out there. But no matter what you are buying, customer service should be held to the best standards, if local dealers want to stay in business. Besides, we as consumers, support the local economy by buying from them, which it seems is not being appreciated. So far I have no complaints with my dealer here in Augusta, but I have no problems to call the main office the moment I do. For what I see in the many valid comments/complaints, which some if not all lack constructive solutions. It seems that staff training needs to be reinforced at these dealers, if not all KIA dealers. Well trained staff will make a better buying experience, and showing confidence on the brand that we all can enjoy and depend on now, and into the future.

  37. KIA is not a pleasant company to transact with, and we definitely don't recommend them. And their financial relationship with Sirius XM leaves the poor KIA buyer stuck with a 3rd party relationship of constant calls and little way to stop them. KIA customer service is deplorable.

  40. Nick Mayer KIA and Camelback KIA. My wife and I purchase a KIA Optima in September of 2012, it took three months to get the title and the payment book after three additional trips to the dealer to redo the paperwork. I made the mistake of purchasing another car from the same dealer (dumb me).I first bought a Pontiac Solstice only to have to return the vehicle and I then purchased a 2013 Forte, liked the car, price was right. The dealership changed hands after again I had to make several trips to Nick Mayer to redo my paperwork because I just moved to Arizona and changed jobs so my initial application had to be update. I just had gotten the first loan with the dealership. Anyway, documents clearly stated that a down payment of $1349 on both transactions. After not getting a payment book or a license plate, along with the fact that my car loan for the trade in was not paid off, I contacted what was now Camelback Kia in Phoenix, Nick Mayer went bankrupt. At first they could not locate my deal, I was told to come in for VIN verification. I arrived there on Saturday, they promptly took the keys MY new KIA and said the deal was never approved because they could not verify my income, something I already dealt with because of my move to the west. They treated us like we stole the car. My wife is an attorney and she was livid. They said we would have to redo the entire deal. I said can I get my money back if the deal is not structured the same, and can I purchase a different car should I fine something I liked better. I was told yes. We looked around, still very upset about the treatment, and just decided to ask for our money back and not purchase a car there. We were then told no proof that we actually put money down could be found???? Are you kidding me!!!!! Do you think we drove off after the deal was finalized and papers signed the down payment was not made. It was made in cash and it clearly stated on BOTH sales agreements that the money was applied. After wasting three hours at the dealership and being further humiliated in front of other customers, basically being called a liar. So, we are out $1349.00, we had to make 2 car payments on my trade in because we were told it would be paid off, and still have no second car since we both work. I am planning legal action and whatever else I can do to that dealership. Is this the way KIA wants their product represented, I should hope not.

  41. I purchased a Kia Soul in mid October of 2012. I began having a check engine light go on intermittantly and took it to the dealer 4 times. Each time they thought they had fixed what appeared to be an emmissions problem. I tried to remain calm, but I was beginning to wonder if I got a "lemon". I expressed this to the Service Manager and he assured me they would work tirelessly to fix my car. They kept the car a week, gave me a great Optima off the showroom floor to drive, and called me everyday from either the regional office or the local dealer. I really felt like I was a "VIP". Man, the American automakers need to take a look at the EXCELLENT customer service provided by the Kia Motors Group. I will remain a loyal Kia customer as long as I know their product is backed as well as this new car has been. I love the feel of the car and I am so happy to be getting it back fixed. (ended up being some silly snap connector on the emissions equipment). Thanks for hanging in their Heath from University Kia, Sheffield, AL. You've got it going on!

  47. After putting over $3100 into my 2003 Kia Sedona to be able to drive it from NY to Fl this spring, I had to put an additional $2500 into it once arriving in FL, and the dealership in Naples stated they were amazed it made it, because it was so unsafe to drive. OK, so the car is old and We havent really had many problems. Was going to replace it this year with a new Sorento. Upon leaving FL for NY in early March, the dtiver side windo would not go up. Went to the KIA dealership in Ocala, FL who replaced the motor. After two weeks, the window only workds sporadically. Took the vehicel to the KIA dealership in Medford, NY, who now wants to charge $553 to replace the motor and regulator or $523.00 to replce just the regulator, which is what needs to be replaced. But they say they should have been done together. Called customer service at KIA headquarters and they state because the dealerships are independently owned and operted they can charge whatever they want. Needless to say, I will be buying a new Honda instead.

Now after 6 years I am haggling with the national customer service department over them paying for a repair on the passenger side sliding door that is exactly what was repaired on the driver's side sliding door in July 2010 (of course under warranty). The heck with the warranty when you've been dealing with ongoing door issues since inception it doesn't matter about warranty. It's a KIA PROBLEM!!!! Never again with I buy a Kia or a used car off a Kia lot because the customer service stinks even at the national level. However my battle isn't over and I am determined to win!!! :)

Now even worse I had the camshaft sensor and camchaft sensor and timing belt new harmonic balancer, new camshaft bolt. For a total of 1500.00. 2 weeks later the the pin for crankshaft sprocket snapped off and My Harmonic balancer loosened up. All power brakes, steering, and battery belts blew. Took back to mechanic and he sent to Kia. They said this happens all the time. Poor manufacturing on KIas part with 1 pin holding the sprocket on. THey said no problem to fix. Now the engine needs to be replaced. Crankshaft is shot, cant get bolt out. Due to kia breaking bolt off inside crankshaft. Cant get it out with easy out. 7,000 dollars to fix this problem. I see many issues with 2001 t0 2009 sorentos. KIa will not take responsibilty. Now its sits at kia apart because I dont want and cant afford to fix this car. I did join 2 class action suits to see if I can recoupe some off my loses. I dont have a car anymore for the 1st time in 35 yrs. THANKS KIA FOR MAKING FEEL LESS THAN HUMAN. I want someone to callme and let me know what is going to happen with this. I wont pick up this piece of **** you call a car. I would never buy a KIA again. If you are still in busines anymore. I read that the future isnt so bright for Kia in the Hyundia world. I saw how many happy customers you really do have. And your sweet commercials dont mean shit to me. If I had the money fight your company I would not stop till your company was buried. Think of all lives you have risked with your poor manufacturing and poor customer service. Imagine driving down the road at 55 mph and you loose steering , brakes, and power. How do you people live with yourselves.

  54. I have had 2 KIA Sorentos in my life time. The first experience was very pleasant and I never had issues with the car. When I decided to upgrade for a newer Sorento, the dealership was so difficult to deal with. Finally when I left with my new KIA, I just had a strange feeling about it. I took it back a few months later for oil change, and they told me it would take 30 min. I waited and waited...finally 2 hours go by...and I am told "It got busy"...even though I am the only one waiting in the lobby. Finally I hear a lady working in the parts department asking if someone was back from the run to a different KIA because apparently, they were out of stock on the oil filter for my car. Why couldnt someone just tell me that? This is Allstar KIA in Pomona.

Well, the fun doesnt end there. Last year my check engine light kept coming on and when I took it in I was told it was the brake switch. 300 bucks out of my pocket later it was fixed. A couple of weeks later, the check engine light came on again and I was told it was the brake switch again. So they replace it for free. I left the dealership, and I wasnt more than 5 min away, when...you guessed it...the check engine light came on again. I turned around and took it back. I was angry at this time because I felt I was being accused of doing something to the brake switch (Which is under the car and required some parts to be removed to hassle with). They had my car for a couple of days to finally realize that when the replaced one of my break light bulbs, they didnt put the light harnass in correctly.

Now KIA has a recall in May for the same exact thing I had fixed. I sent them my reciepts, etc for a refund and now I am told they the parts they put in my car were not done in May. The part need to be from the supplied parts for May and not from a previous month. So I am out of luck......but I can go in and have a new brake switch put in for free...even though I had one put in April. I will never own another KIA again.

I bought a 2013 kia optima at outten in hamburg we looked at the car, loved the way it looked in the front. after signing the papers for the car they had took it out back to wash it. got in the car drove it home to find here they drilled holes in the front bumper to put there license plate on it we are angry it ruined the whole look of the car. we called them up and they tried to tell us they all have them and we were positive it was not there when we looked at it. when we were down for it oil change we looked at the other cars and they did not have the license pate on them then we were told oh that our car was from Jersey and they put the plate on the front. Its one excuse after another. No one wants to take responsibility for it cause we want it fix without holes.

  56. I am 31 and between my wife and I we have bought and paid for 9 vehicles, our 2013 Forte being our 10th car. This was the worst buying experience ever. This was also the first time we bought a brand new car.
The problem started when Jeremy made everything sound so good, but when it came to writing up the paper work he was never around and someone else wrote it up. I told them I was paid 1099 they said it wasn't a problem. After we had the car for a month they called back and told us the bank said they wouldn't use me as a CO signer for my wife. We brought here cousin in and they told us because we still owed 1600 on our other KIA, and he had a car loan out that we need to give them our KIA optima for $2100 or we had to give the car back and lose our down payment. we asked if they could give us a week to pull the money out of our stocks and they said no, we had until the end of the day or give the car back. I weighed it out and decided to let my wife keep the new car, and gave them our optima, I was so mad.
We have had the car for 4 months and my wife has put 15400 miles on it. she just went in there today, and they said it is the last free oil change. Plus my wife said there was a vibration in the tires. They test drove it and determined that the tires needed to be balanced. They also said that they do that for free if it had less than 15000 miles. They said the 15000 mark is something for them and they don't let the customers know this.
The point to all this is they do not care about the customer, they only care about the money. They are so greedy they wont balance a car that is 400 miles over the warranty they don't let there customers know about. Plus if they can scam you out of money or a car they will. WATCH OUT FOR THESE SCAM ARTIST!!!!

  57. I called and ordered a part KIA PRIMEAUX on Monday and was told it would be there on Wednesday. They never called and the parts dept. never picked up phone. I went up there and was told it was crossed shipped and would not be in until Friday. I complained about this a prior rude service and the Parts person cancelled by parts order and told me to get out. I really think they never ordered the part in the 1st place. When I spoke with the daughter of the owner, she basically called me a liar in front of my 16 year old daughter and then one of her subordinates asked us to leave. Of the two times I have been in the dealership, the service was poor and the people are rude and unprofessional. I told the daughters owner she could call a witness to the 1st event, but she didn't want to hear it. I told her to call her own parts dept. to see if they would answer her phone call and she wouldn't. The other KIA dealer in a nearby town has always served me well. I immediately went there after both events at the Tulsa dealership. I live in Tulsa, too bad that I must travel out of town to get good service.

  59. If you are going to buy and Kia vehicles beware of the so called warranty they give you for 5 years or 50,000 miles. You end up paying for it the first 15,000 mile check up. You take your car to be serviced and they tell you there was a recall on a CMT part ? So you assume that they are going to fix it for free, well NO the CMT charge with labor will cost you $200.0 to $300.00 depending where you live. The so called recall is for something that Kia says you must have updated on your vehicle to cover the warranty ?? Oh yes the recall part is free but to remove the old one and labor is not. I called Kia and they had no idea what a CMT was ! So after Kia called the dealership service department the CMT is a customer service package that is not covered by warranty. If you don't pay for the CMT your warranty is VOIDED !!!So much for a free warranty. Don't buy a Kia of any form or shape run, run fast to a dealership that sells American made cars !

  60. I think Kia has a very poor record when it comes to extended warranty. We paid extra for that took VERY good care of my car, which I must admit I loved. It was the third Kia I owned. First extended Warranty and I must say the LAST Kia I will own. Six payments away from owning it out right and something when wrong with the motor, supposedly it wasn't covered on the warranty. Then what the blazes did I pay for. I will continue to warn people NOT to buy Kia as they don't live up to their promises. Because of that I am left carless.

  61. I have to say I am highly disapointed in kia in plano tx. We are in the market for a 2013 kia optima, when we went in today 10/02/13 JB informed us that they did not have an LX to compete with a local dealer. When i went online the day before they have an advertisment saying "If I can't beat it ill give it to you free!" I call bull sxit. Not only did we come in pre-approved check at hand, downpayment, & the excitment of going home with a new car only to be highly disappointed we also went home with the doubtful thoughts about purchasing this car.

  62. I am very very disappointed with the Finance manager at KIA ST AUGUSTINE. Her name is Cheryl.. She was not at all professional with her position at all!!!! She was not friendly and did not discuss anything about the Kia Soul we were looking at. We wanted that car so bad but did not get it!!! very disappointed...THEY told us one thing and then raise the price I KNOW ALL THEY WANT IS THEIR COMMISION BUT SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO START FRESH.. Very mad because she ran my credit so many times and I was told there would be just a few meaning 2 ONLY!!! ALSO She ran my mother's credit and NOONE gave her PERMISSION. THIS IS ILLEGAL!!! My lawyer told to contact the corporate office so this is what I am doing. KIA needs to call EQUIFAX OR ALL THE BANKS THAT WOMAN CALLED AND TAKE MY MOM'S OFF OF THEIR. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT!! NOW ON THE OTHER HAND CLEO WAS GREAT HE TRIED EVERYTHING TO HELP US AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY. RID THE CHERYL FINANCE MANAGER. WHO WANTS TO BUY A CAR WITH HER ATTITUDE. I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE AND WAS GOING TO SEND CUSTOMERS THERE BUT NOT WITH HER THERE..FRIENDLY SERVICE IS ALWAYS NICE FOR CUSTOMERS.. PLEASE GET BACK WITH ME ON THIS SITUATION. I AM GOING TO WRITE THE CORPORATE OFFICE IF THIS DOES NOT GET SOLVED THANK YOU!

P.S I END UP BUYING MY CAR FROM ANOTHER DEALERSHIP THANKS TO HER.(CHERYL -FINANCE MANAGER AT ST AUGUSTINE..KIA FAMILY)

  63. i purchased a 2013 sorrento in march of 2013. in oct 2013 i was driving home from work & it just stopped with no warning. it started right back up & i immediately drove to the dealer where purchased. The service person has tried to blame it on bad gas. i have purchased gas at the same station for many years for other vehicles i had and never had this problem. i feel they are giving me the run around because i am female. Two days before this happened i had it in for oil change & general mtce and they told me it needed to have the computer "upgraded". Why? Before they did this i had no problem with my vehicle. now i am uncomfortable with it. NO MORE Kia's for me. The 2011 Sorrento that i traded for the 2013 had to have a new battery---or so they told me after only two years to the tune of $176.00. What a rip off. This dealer is Larry Miller Kia in Lakewood Colorado---DON'T go there. Also the sales people are a bunch of smart a's and the sales manager flits around the showroom like he is some kind of celebrity. So my next vehicle will not be a Kia. I purchased a Kia because of the "great ? warranty but have heard they don't stand behind it. Guess i will find out if i have more problems with mine.

  64. I'd like to know when a recall will be done for the lock mechanism issue people are constantly experiencing. This is my 2nd Kia Optima. I got another because it runs great. When the door locks begin to fail on someone and you're entrapped in your vehicle, its beyond dangerous. The dealership wants to charge hundreds of dollars but its been an issue for so long. I've read stories in Kia forums where people's stories are almost identical to my own. If they are refusing to do a recall; why not just fix it at an affordable rate. Obviously the people purchasing these vehicles aren't rich. We have to like something about your company. What ever happened to customer loyalty. They keep coming out with newer fancier models, but the same issue. It sucks to not be able to lock my doors because I'll find myself trapped in. Its also horribly embarrassing to climb over the seats. What will you all do about this? I'm in St. Louis Missouri but the similar complaints I've read are from all over. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that, we need answers!

    ReplyDelete
  65. In regards to the power lock malfunction. Look into RepairPal where people are desperate to find out how they can get dangerous issue fixed. Everyone stories are similar and the models are from early 2000 models. This doesn't raise a red flag? This doesn't want to make you put out a recall or a warning? What if someones car is on fire and you've neglected to look into this issue. It's like you all are all about money. Well if i don't sue the pants off of you someone else will. You all definitely deserve it!

  66. Kias new advertisement of the foolish girl who takes a short cut up a ramp, on a train to get there early for a appointment. Supports the foolish young and old who think they can do close to the same thing and do not respect the rights of others on the highways, they do not know the dangers of swerving in and out in front of others can cause death and believe they are above causing the death of innocent human beings. You need to take off that commercial and put the one of the man who was a risk taker and how he died at horrible car wreck from speed and he was a professional. You cause these people with your commercial, you promote wrong!

  67. We had to have our 2004 Sedona EX towed to Garcia Kia in Albuquerque on 12/17/13. Axle seal had failed and ATF fluid was in a big puddle around the driver side front tire. Item was repaired under the 10 year/100000 mile warranty. Garcia Kia refused to cover the towing charge saying that towing was not covered after 5 years/60000 miles. On page 7 of our warranty book:

    dkbass@juno.com

    "Towing
If your vehicle is not drivable because of a problem covered by this warranty, call 1-800-333-4KIA for towing assistance. Towing service arranged or authorized by KIA will be covered to the nearest Authorized KIA Dealer or authorized service location."

The KIA website has the following:

"In the event of a warrantable concern that can’t be fixed on the spot, we’ll see to it you’re towed at no cost to the nearest Kia dealer or Alternate Service Location (ASL), whichever is closer. Needless to say, if you have an applicable warranty-related concern, your repairs may be covered under the Kia 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program."

Clearly the towing charge should be covered under the KIA warranty.

I am posting this experience to expose what I think is a either a breach of contract or false and misleading advertising.

  68. My husband and I went to Kia Car Pros in Carson, CA to test drive a 2008 Kia Sportage. We both liked the car and decided to have our credit ran to see it we would qualify for the car. They told us that our credit would qualify and told me that if I was to get a "Co-signer" my chances would be better at getting approved. My friend from high school agreed to do this for my husband and I. However, here is where the bullshit started. My friend and I went to the dealership to get the ball rolling, first they said that the vehicle would be in both of our names, the car would be financed through Capital One and we were all set. However, less than a week into the time I had the vehicle we both received calls from the dealership telling us that we needed to come in to sign some other paperwork. What we didn't know was that when we arrived, the contract information had changed. They removed my name off of the contract and put it in my friends name, they stuck us with their finance company which is Ally (stay away from this finance company they are rude, unprofessional they down right suck) and they told us we needed to give them back the original paperwork we signed. This my friends in the state of California is known as the Straw Purchase scam. So now I am contacting Kia to get this issue resolved immediately. I spoke with an independent car dealer who use to work for this dealership (his name will remain anonymous) and told me exactly what they did to my friend and I and has already told me that he can get me into a car for the monthly price that I feel comfortable with and can afford. Kia screwed me and now I am stuck paying $431.22 a month for a car that isn't worth the money. I asked the salesman if the car was a 6 cylinder which is what I wanted, he said yes only to find out the other day while at the dealership that it is a 4 cylinder. The car eats gas like water, has no power or acceleration and horrible blind spots. The dealership wanted to charge me $119.00 to replace a tire that should have been replaced before I purchased the vehicle. I am so very unhappy and pissed off.

  70. To say that we are unhappy owners of a 2011 KIA Sorrento, is putting it VERY lightly!! You would think with my husband being an Auto Mechanic himself, KIA would quit trying to pull the wool over us! Our transmission is NO good and needs to be replaced, "yet they could not get the car to replicated the sound". I told them to get on the highway and accelerate to pass and about 65-75 mph the car sounds as if the motor is going fall out and hesitates. When they "Can't get it to replicate" as they put it I took the "mechanic" out and had found the CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT on.......okay why would you have the cruise control on when you are trying to get the care to "replicate a problem at an accelerating time" hmmm?? Needless to say I turned off the cruise and proceeded to show the "mechanic" the issue which he couldn't seem to get the car to replicate. So they say they fixed it, yet back yesterday for 3 hrs to be fixed again, though last time was told if it happens again they would replace the transmission, and WOW to my surprise 2nd go around "DO YOU THINK THEY PUT IN A NEW ONE?" No!!!!! Mind you this was yesterday (2/25/2014) and guess what my KIA Sorrento is doing this morning? YES, the same thing and worse!!! Can you say......"We will never buy another KIA, nor ever suggest anyone else to do so!" THANKS KIA for being an awesome dealer and car company!

  71. Hi there, This message if for the manager of Orr Kia of Shreveport. I came in an purchased a Brand New 2014 Kia Optima EX on Wednesday afternoon. Let me start by saying that I'm a 30 year old single mom who just graduated college top of my class last friday. This was a graduation present to myself. My son's father passed away a year ago and I've been trying to do my best and start my career to take care of my son. I've been royally screwed by car dealerships in the past and was set out to not let that happen again.
When I arrived at your dealership, I felt extremely rushed into the whole deal. My salesman was Jessi. He was very nice, but after an hour of haggling, I told him I wouldn't pay a penny of $600 or I was leaving. He comes and gets me and says lets do the paperwork, come to find out the payments were $605. I know that's close but he didn't even tell me. I had to ask the finance manager Terry Couch. I was extremely upset but went with it anyway. Got the extended warranty Which made my Payments $630 something. Signed my life away and was told that they would put a temp tag on my car and asked me to come back the next day to get it detailed. I never got any paperwork when I left and no temp tag and nothing saying I had permission at all to be driving the car.
I was called by Jessi on Thursday to ask me when I would be coming in. I told him after work and showed up that afternoon. Much to my surprise I was called into Terry's office and he begins to tell me that the price I was given and signed for the day before was no good and that my payments will be increasing to $669. This made me quite upset and I even began to cry. Terry was very cold to the situation, which I understand men tend to not know how to react to emotional women. However, he didn't react at all, in fact asked me if I would like a coke and left it at that. Told me I needed to dry my "Tears of Joy" because they wanted to get a picture of me with the car(which never happened by the way And I was told to come back on Saturday to get my car washed and detailed). After asking him is there anything we can do because I am really tapped out at the previous payments...he tells me no and puts the paperwork in front of me to sign.
To say I'm extremely frustrated and pissed off would be an understatement. I later called Terry and explained my frustration, in which he replied he "understood" and he would see what he could do. This should be an exciting and happy moment for me. But I can promise you, happiness and excitement couldn't be further from what I feel. After being duped from a previous dealership....I was hoping that wouldn't happen again and I wouldn't have to walk away feeling this shitty.
I just want this fixed. Somehow, someway, I know there is something that can be done. Because right now, my only thoughts are to go to the Better business bureau and your corporate office and try to find some form or resolution.
I want to be able to recommend ya'll to friends and family. I want to look at my car and feel good about the whole situation and right now I can't say that I'm happy to have this car because of my experiences so far.
If you could please contact me and let me know what can be done, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am not a difficult person. I hope that this doesn't come across as completely bitchy, I just want to be done right and that is not the case thus far.

    Thank you

  72. I would NEVER buy a Kia again!!!! Our Kia Sportage has had more problems than one could imagine.....we had the extended coverage when our sun visors broke...both of them!!! They told us they were NOT COVERED by the warrantee....so we cancelled it....then, we took it in for service and they told us a line under the car was leaking.....really????? Now, the door lock on the passenger side of the car is not working so my husband got locked in the car!!!!! This car is a "piece of shit" and I would not recommend anyone spend their money on one......I drive a Honda that I've had since 1998 and have never had any problems with it...so I will stick to a Honda and NEVER BUY A KIA AGAIN!!!!!! P.S.....the Kia is only 7 yrs. old.

  73. First I'd like to say I really like my 2014 Kia Soul after this the story get to be more than unreal.
My husband and I went into Orangeburg Kia dealership, this is where the royal screwing began.
Being a woman I was really impressed by the commercials with the hamsters many years ago, never plan to own one. Not because I needed another car, but we decided to just look at the car because I liked them. Big mistake!!! This is just another case of what you don't no can really hurt you (your pocket). The sale was uneventful, so I thought, I got to bring home a cute little Kale green Kia Soul. My husband goes over the car with a fine tooth comb, this he would do at the dealership, but didn't this time, bad mistake!! The little car did not have a spare tire, he immediately had me to call the dealership( same day car was purchased). We I was told about the inflatable fix a spare, my husband don't want this. He want's a spare tire. Is this such a big deal, apparently so. I made several calls back to the dealership and we made a trip there all about this spare tire. MY husband was going to return the car if he did not get a spare. Well we were told you can get a spare at cost, and you'll have to return the inflatable fix a spare. Okay that's alright. We were quoted a price of $235.00, This was supposed at the sales man price. Untrue I'm sure. Long story short we never got one call back from Orangeburg dealership to this day. We got my car on 1/21/14, we last talked with dealership on 1/24, I called the sales manager, who claim not to be aware of anything. Ha Ha still no calls on anything. I needed to think quick because my hubby in a kick there asses mode. On 2-1, I call JT's in Columbia, SC explained our problem, sure we can get a spare tire, it will be here by 2/5/14. Well to our surprise the tire was there. Price much cheaper and the spare inflatable, well that's still in the back of my little kale green kia, imagine that. Now there's more to this story but I'll just relate this to corporate Kia.

  76. Hudson Kia in Jersey City New Jersey, we went in there at 9 am and told them exactly what I wanted which I researched online and knew they had, I had my Edmund's price quote which I didn't tell them to start with and when I showed them it they were shocked, I didn't get it at the price I was quoted but very close, so I let that go. I told them I needed to be out of there by 12:30 as my husband and myself had to get to work, no problem they told me, I told the salesman I only wanted to finance $5000 as I had the rest taken care of, he came back and said I can't finance anything under $7500 , ok I said, i'll just pay it right off. when we went into the finace again we said we have to be out by 12:30, no problem , he proceeds to try to talks us into financing it all, no, I wanted to put $10000 on my credit card so I get the points, the finance guy is making all these faces, he says I can only do $5000 on it, and's not happy with that, at 12:45 I tell my husband to get his credit card as we have to leave, the finance guy says it'll only be 5 more minutes, and gets annoyed when I tell him NO I am not signing papers with out looking at them. we leave and come back the next day, and he's not there, so we get another finance person who seems nice till I question where a price came from? she grabbed the papers out of my hand and starts yelling she can't do this anymore. I now have the head of finance doing my paperwork and they want me to hold my loan for 3 months so they'll get their money, yeah that might ever happen. we were there for almost 2 1/2 hours again the second day. that's a total of 5 1/2 hours to buy a car that I walked into knowing exactly what I wanted and it only took about 20 to settle on the price. everything else was with financing. a few days later I realize I don't have an inspection sticker on my new car so I call and ask for them to send it to me, they can't I can come in , it's and hour away from me so that's at least 2 1/2 hours of my day for their mistake. I will never deal with them again and as soon as I get my payment booklet, the loan will be paid off and they will not get a cent from the finance.

  77. I bought a 2014 soul. love my car but the dealership and finance manager of brooklyn park minnesota really need to be in the unemployment line! i contacted the salesman on a website thru my employer. he had me email all my information and he got back to me within 2 hours, telling me to come get my car. i went, picked out a car and signed all papers, gave them a check for what they asked for as a down payment. 4 weeks and i still dont have plates. i keep calling, getting no answers. i get a call to come back in and sign new paperwork because there was an issue with the bank for the loan. i sign new paperwork and go on my way. another 4 weeks and still no plates! i had to demand a new temp tag, which reluctantly they finally gave me one. well, i have owned my car now for over 2 months and iam driving a temp tag that is expired, again, and still no plates. i have spoke to the general manager, the salesman, the finance manager, all giving me promises i will have plates. still no plates. i have been told now by the salesman, jerry moore, that the reason for all this mess is because the 1st loan requested more money down after i have been gone for weeks with my car. they could have just called me with this info and everything would be solved by now but no, they find a 2nd bank without my knowledge. paperwork has been signed. the new bank wont finance til the 1st bank releases it off my credit. i cant have 2 loans on 1 car! im tempted to go to the police department daily to ask to be ticketed for the expired tag just to get them to get this done! then i find a sticker for the car price in my glove box, its over 2000.00 cheaper then what i am paying! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN! Posting it everywhere and telling everyone i talk to the experience i have had. AM having! this is ridiculous!!!!!

  78. I bought a 2014 Forte two months ago. I love the vehicle and was already previously a KIA owner with my 2009 Spectra. My experience at the dealership the day i bought the vehicle was pleasant and i had virtually no complaints...well almost none!!! I thought i had a flat tire two days ago, and when i opened the trunk and removed the trunk liner there was a place for a spare tire but it was empty. Not even so much as a donut tire. I called the dealership and was promptly told by the Sales Dpt that KIA does not provide spare tires in their new vehicle purchases due to the fact that it is A SAFETY HAZARD !!!!! Are they serious?!? I am a single middle aged woman, is it safer to be driving around in a vehicle that i believe has a spare tire, when in fact, it does not? And what cheapstakes they are for allowing consumers to pay such outrageous prices for automobiles and then not even providing spare tires (donut tires) with the purchase? I went to the dealership that afternoon in person, only to be told, that for a mere $200 MORE that they would give me a spare for my new car. I was never told on the day of purchase that there was not a spare tire in the vehicle, for i would have taken my spare out of my SPECTRA had i known. Find it amazing that for as much as we, the consumer, has to rake out for vehicles, that these dealerships are slimy snakes constantly attempting to rape us for not only our finances, but our intelligence and humanity as well. KIA just lost a "lifetime", "loyal" customer over an overinflated, overpriced donut tire. Really guys...loosen the grip of greed of the green"....pissed off in Texas.

  81. My wife purchased a Kia Sportage from Kia Depot in Santa Ana California. Along with this she purchased a contract for dent repair from a company known as Xzilon Inc. who will come out and repair tiny dents or rips in the material covering the seats ect. To get Xzilon to do this you must have an agreement number, well getting this number is the same as pulling teeth without a numbing agent! Kia Depot has given us the run around for almost 2 weeks now. The General Manager Michael Knapp finally called us after 2 weeks of the run around and says he is now willing to help us. Willing to help us after I called and told I would be going to corporate over the lack of customer service. These companies sell these services and then act as if they have no idea about how to use them and do not want to be bothered when the time comes for these services to be used!!!! I m so tired of this. We the people spend hard earned money on this things and yet get nothing in return after the purchase has been made! Its time to take this country back from the idiot corporations!

  83. I purchase a 2011 KIA Sorento in August of 2014, I took the car in for service 1 week later and I was told that I had to leave the car for about three days. I was told by Stephanie in the finance department that I was going to received a rental car for the time the car was in service because this is going to be a part of the initial sales agreement. The day I took the car for service I was told by John the service guy that there is no car available. John asked me to speak to the manager. I went to speak to the manager but I was brushed off by him. The manager asked me to wait in a room, and I was waiting there for about 30 minutes. I went to speak with Al the sales person who I purchase the car from. To my surprise Al was acting like he forget who I was. Both him and the manager was acting shady. I informed them that I was going to take the matter to court. The manager informed me to take the car off his lot because he was not going to provide any service to the car. After I left the office Al come outside to speak to me I guess the manager send him out there. They decided to offer me the car rental service under one condition that I brought the car back before 9 AM Thursday. The manger also stated that he would deduct three days from my monthly payment to compensate me for the days that the car was in service. Its going on three months and I have yet to received that refund from KIA. Every time I go to the KIA office I was told that the check was not cut. The car was returned to me and john informed me that there was no problem with the car. I took the car in for service on October 16th and I informed John that there was several time that the car would not start. John called me later during the day to informed me that there are several things going on with the car that my warranty does not cover. I need a new battery and new brakes in the front of the car these repairs are about $500.00 dollars. My question is why did he wait until now to tell me about these problem. I found the KIA staff at Yonkers are not truthful and are shady. They act so nice when you go in first to look at the vehicle and after you purchase it they don't want nothing to do with you. They even tell they receptionist to tell us that they are busy they cannot come to the phone. I am going to the business bureau to fight my case because this is not right and KIA has to live up to what they say they are going to do.

  84. Hello, Hello from Burbank,CA!
We're just back from KIA Glendale, CA! Once again a flop!!!! This is the 2nd time we're looking for a KIA Sorento. The first time it was during spring 2014 ,we went to their old location on San Fernando Rd in Glendale, we're offered all kind of cars -- but not a KIA at all. After we told the sales guy (again), we're looking for a KIA SUV still nothing happened. He still tried to sell us a TOYOTA. We (my husband and I) looked at eachother, thanked the guy and left the shop! Today after all this time we're still searching for a nice KIA SUV. This time we went to their new location on Brand. The sales person, Ron, was friendly, but also offered us first a Toyota. After I told him "when we want to buy a Toyota, we're going to Toyota! When we're coming to KIA, we want to buy a KIA SUV"! He turned around and was a nice sales guy. We found a car, made the test-drive and were ready to buy the car! It was strange that Ron took first our "Personal informations incl SocSecNo"!!!! Good believing Seniors, we gave out these informations. Still not knowing the final prize of the car! Because of our payment with a check and because we wanted to take our Subaru home, we're asking for a rebate -- that was the point --- when the nightmare was beginning! Ron's supervisor thought the $200 (his offer) was enough and he started a debate going on and on!!! I told him, we're Seniors we're not wasting our lifetime in a car-shop! We both told him "give us a prize, we can accept, you'll get the payment and we're out of here"!!! Instead it was going on and on!! Finally we got up and told both guys "this is it, we'll look somewhere else"! On my way out, I ask Ron's boss to give us the sheets with the Personal-Informations, he declined, even the copies from our driver-licenses!!! After I got louder and promised him to call the police, he gave back the copies! The KIA-Information-sheet was not giving to us. He only blackmarked these informations including our signatures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our advise stay away from KIA in Glendale on 400 S Brand ! Our questions for the KIA HEADQUARTERS in CA: "Is there really no trustful KIA shop in LA County and is the new sales rule, to ask for our Personal-Informations before we know the prize of the car??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust us, we learned our lesson. Tomorrow we'll go to AAA and let them know what happened to us at KIA in Glendale! We still would love to buy a KIA SUV, let us know where we can find trustful people, selling KIA cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IR ST.
