  1. Please stop YELLING at your customers when they walk in/out the door.. This is REDNECK beyond belief, and something most patrons won't tolerate. I'll go to Subway for lunch, thank you.. Maybe I don't want attention drawn to myself if I'm attempting to enter/exit your store. You're not as cool as you think you are..get over it.

    5. They need to give their employees a day and not work them 7 days a week and if they are sick they get written up. The jimmy johns in alton, ill is terrible. Yell at their employees in front of customers. Seen it first hand. Managers need to take their responsability. Really and you also know there are employees doing drugs and you don't investigate. Really. Need to look into this place

If the food isn’t up to scratch………
I realize, with the volume of business these fast food stores do daily and the average age of the employees, it's not going to be perfect every time but I do expect a certain level of satisfactory quality and service to keep me coming back, as do most people I'm sure. I consider myself a reasonable person. As someone who works in customer service and have for 25 years, I know what it is like to be on the receiving end of a disgruntled customer. Still, after receiving the shoddy treatment from a Jimmy John’s manager in Independence, MO this email is warranted.
Typically, my visits with Jimmy John’s have been very good. Well, that all changed Saturday, April 21, 2012. I purchased 2 #4’s, bag of chips and 1 drink which was shy of $15.
The order was to go and after arriving home, my daughter cut part of hers to give to my grandson. She told me the bread was stale and hard. I opened mine up to find the same thing. I re-wrapped mine and took the ¾ sandwich that my daughter couldn’t eat. I called Jimmy John’s to tell them what I was given and I was bringing them back. I couldn’t figure out why they would serve me a sandwich with stale bread and think that would be ok. I’m sure the meat was fine but I bought the “whole sandwich”. I kept the chips and the drink. Let me add that this was a hassle after working 8 hours, going out of my way to get the food and returning home after a 15 minute drive to find the quality being not what is advertised (FRESH bread) and not appetizing then having to drive back to the store to be encountered with the most unprofessional and rude manager I have EVER come across.
People are much more rushed these days than they used to be and it is almost as if they expect their food to be wrong and just accept it, or maybe they are just afraid of what the employees will do to their food which is why I asked for a refund. (The latter was my concern.) Why take the chance, you read about it daily.
I just simply wanted a refund for the portion that was incorrect. The employee promptly informed me that they couldn't give me a refund. I opened up the sandwich and showed him. He took the sack and threw it into the trash followed with, “I can make you another one.” At this point I realized he didn’t comprehend what I wanted and rightly should have received….my money back. He also told me “the sandwich is fine”. I looked at him baffled and said “So now you are trying to tell me what I should eat when I find it unsatisfactory”? What kind of manager would say that comment and think that behavior is ok?? I was appalled to say the least and taken back by the rudeness and insinuation of what quality of food I should accept. I paid for this expecting the quality that is advertised. This is from Jimmy John’s web-page: Jimmy John’s definition of fresh is worlds apart from everyone else’s. Bread is baked in-house everyday and served fresh.
Over a dozen times he smugly repeated “I can make you another one”. Now it has become the principal of the situation. He has my money and will not return it and that I would need to go to Jimmy John’s website to get this resolved.
He was very condescending when I asked to please speak with the manager. He replied arrogantly, “I am the manager”. Imagine that.
I am not speaking badly about Jimmy John’s. The manager on the other hand doesn’t seem to realize that customer service is an integral part of their job and should not be seen as an extension of it. A company’s most vital asset is its customers. Without them, you cannot exist as a business. Customer recommendation is taken very seriously by other potential customers. Word of mouth can make or break a business along with employees who really don’t care.

    4. ^^^^^^^ you fail to realize this is your FUCKING JOB!! you are getting paid to exceed the Expirations of any normal sub shop and are supposed to be better than the rest! I bet your like 17-20 years old (Aka think your suppose to get paid for doing nothing!) I also worked for jimmy john's and constantly had to remind my employees you are not doing this for free! You are getting paid for your time! It is your job to represent JJ's's as the best! People don't have to tip you! It is A gift of money over and above payment due for service. Therefore they only owe you for the sandwich they are purchasing! and just by reading your response I can tell you're probably just as bad as an employee so therefore I can see why you wouldn't get big tips!

  3. I just called 3 different Jimmy John's and they all informed me that they will no longer deliver to my work location. What?!?!?! How could you for the last 6 years deliver to me but now suddenly stop. When I talked to the manager at one location they informed me that because they are opening a new location that they must stop delivering to our location. Which makes this even more asinine is the new location is actually farther away than at least one if not two of the locations. To make matters worse I work in downtown Chicago you would think that some common sense would dictate that you would continue the status quo until the new location opened.

  4. Oh boy. Well, first and foremost I am DONE with Jimmie John's for good. This is my second and last encounter with one of their stores that I will endure. Drove up to the drive through speaker box and some guy starts screaming into the speaker asking what I wanted. All I could really hear was a bunch of other employees screaming and banging things around in the background. Gave him the order and he started blurting something back at me that I could not understand. Told him I couldn't understand him and repeated the order. He blurted something back so I gave up and drove up to the window. When he came to the window he had attitude and I simply tried to explain his voice was garbled because of all the background noise and distortion. He didn't seem to care about that. Just grabbed the money, shoved the sandwich at me and walked away. Look, I know these fast food joints don't hire college graduates but, for what you pay at Jimmie John's I would expect to be treated, well, at least like a paying customer. I get treated a lot better than at Taco Bell for less money. While their sandwiches are good they're not good enough to make up for their dreadful workers so from here on out I'll find a replacement. That won't be hard to do.

  10. I just went to the Jimmy Johns in Rochester Hills MI and what a bunch of immature jerks working behind the counter. I walked in the store with flip flops on a rainy day and slipped and fell on their tile floor just as I walked in. Although they had a slippery when wet sign, it was 5 feet from the door entrance and they only way to see it was AFTER you walked into the store. The 3 jerks behind the counter were laughing when I fell, even making gestures of how I looked when I fell, and not one person, including the one who called herself the manager, came over to me to ask if I was ok. I hurt my knee, ankle and on toe. I asked them why they didn't have a mat in front of the door instead of a sign, she, the so-called manager, said ONLY people with flip flops fall as though this was their nightly entertainment to watch and see who falls. In addition, the so-called manager refused to give me an incident report to fill out so first thing in the morning I am making a formal complaint to their headquarters. I am done with this place!

  11. First of all I'd like to say that I do enjoy the quality and taste of JJ's sandwiches. I have a family of 8 and we frequent JJ's often. Today my son formally announced that he wanted to try a Gargantuan w/peppers (My fav). This announcement filled me with joy as my son wanted to be like his daddy. We had two punch cards that were full so we wanted to redeem our free sandwich. I explained to the Gentleman at the counter that I realize the sandwiches you get for free with the punchcard are the basic 8" subs for 4.95. I asked if I could pay the difference and get two Gars/w peppers. Gar w/peppers 7.95-4.95 = 3.00ea I was told that they had to take a reg sub and "convert" it to a Gargantuan and that I would have to pay for every extra piece of meat. He said that it could cost more than the Gargantuan. What???? Does that make sense to anyone? He said that it is "Corporate Policy". So at this point I just paid full price for the sandwhiches and saved my punchcards for another time. So my 2 free sandwhiches cost me over $15.00. I offered to pay the difference and was told that it can't be done. Is it Corporate Policy to make shure your customers walk away unhappy! Is it Corporate Policy to deny the customer the ability to upgrade to a better sandwich, even if he pays the difference? If it's a Point of Sale problem---fix it!!! This is no way to treat a loyal customer who drops lots of money into your buisness. I was very dissapointed to say the least! I don't know if this employee just doesn't know what he's doing or if the Company simply doesn't allow someone to"upgrade" and pay the difference. Come on, it's just sandwiches...how hard can it be????

    1. UPDATE..... I just wanted to give an update to the situation. I E-Mailed Jimmie johns on a Satuday night and didn't expect a response. In fact I was shure I would have to take my buisness elsewhere. Tues. afternoon I got a call from Jimmie John's Corporate Headquarders apologizing for the incident. The restaurants are franchized out and he said that he already talked to the franchise owner and that it wouldn't happen again. They also sent me a gift card to pay me back for the free sandiches that I ended up paying for. I really appreciate a company that takes the time to respond and attempts to make things right. I remain a "Loyal" Jimmie Johns customer. It's nice to know that they care. Anyone else that has a problem, please use the appropriate E-mail address that is on their main website. At least that way they know what's going on and can correct it.

  13. Jimmy John's is by far the worse place I have ever encountered for fast food. My first experience was in Arizona over new years 2011/2012.
I orderd a sandwich and literally had one tiny piece of meat on stale bread. No nothing ie; lettuce, condiments. I realized that's all that is included, no extra "frills" or good stuff. Why even offer this. Is this even appetizing or worth the money?.... NO.
When my husband asked if we could add to that they flatly said No. So we decided there what a joke this place is.

My son who just graduated high school with the persistence of a friend who worked at our local Jimmy John's in Salt Lake City got my son a job. They push so hard to work so fast these kids are literally cutting their fingers and told to keep working. Don't know about anyone else, I don't want anything extra in my sandwich. My son recently had the flu amd was throwing up, he was still told he had to come in and cover his. Again, why would they want that around their food. Cover your shift or throw up on the food. Well, he couldn't find coverage so suck it up. Gross!!!
So now, experiencing their unappetizing food and far superior teaching of managers I now come to the conclusion that not only Arizona but Salt Lake City Jimmy John's will never be worth our time or money.
So, at the urging of these wonderfully taught managers... I hope nobody gets made fun of, gets sick or finds anything extra in their sandwiches. God bless all of your stomachs.

  14. I just move back to champaign Ill, I was treated to a jimmy john sandwich and enjoyed it. I looked them up on line and found out I could order on line, great right? No!, it was not great at all! I orderd on line and waited 20 mins before I call the store I order from, well they looked up my order and said that my order was already out, and on its way. I talked with the deliverer and he said that he was running behind and that he had just picked up my order. So I said to myself I would let that go and gave them a tip. Then I started to eat my sandwich and realized that things were missing out it. So I called the store and they talk to me like I was dirt and didn't care about my concern!! I was getting ready for work at this time and I could'nt ask for a manager at the time. So I call later while I was at work and ask for a manager and the so call manager well will call him d and he was more rude then the first person I talk to. I just could not believe how bad they treat their customers wow!!!! I am sad to say that they have losted my business forever and my family and friends also. I also have worked in customer service most of my adult life and I would be out of a job if my action had been anything like their's!!!!!

  15. I love the sandwiches but why do the employees have to have music blaring so loud that you cannot even have a conversation with the clerk? I went to the Maple Grove, MN store a while back when they first opened for the day. The music was horribly loud. I thought maybe they turn it down when business picks up but I went to the Brooklyn Park, MN store last week, later in the day, and the same thing - music blaring so loud that it gave me a headache in the short time it took to get the sandwich. Obviously the staff cannot hear any better than the customers because the clerk asked if I wanted a receipt - "what?" (louder) do you want a receipt? - "no, I don't need one" - so he gets me the receipt. Turn the damn music down and maybe you can communicate. When I got to my destination and mentioned this, my friends all said they have experienced the same thing and do not wish to go there, because of this. No one needs a headache with their meal. Please turn down the noise.

  16. I was just at Jimmy Johns @ Tacoma Mall Blvd. They were celbrating their one yr.---so sandwhiches were on sale. I was lucky enough to get in before the 3:00 deadline. What I found was a lot of disorganization and a lot of people. I sat at the only empty table at that time and asked 3 different times for it to be cleaned. Finally, a tall African American man came to clean up the mess at my table. I had to ask him 2 times to clean it and wipe off the sticky area. He tells me that the sticky is off and I said No it isn't it is still there and you can see it. He says it is only "tape!" I tell him that I used to work for the Health Dept here and I know that this can be considered cross contamination. He denies this and asks me the customer if I want to clean it up. I tell him I'm going to call the Health Dept instead. Is this how you train your workers? Are they instructed to throw the left over lettuce on the floor? I will NOT patronize this store again and I will share my first experience with others so that thay may be aware of the flippant worker and the lack of cleanliness and lack of respect for a potential customer.

  18. I placed an online order yesterday, December 11, 2012 approx. 3:30pm. As of 5:30pm still didn't have my sandwiches and they had already charged my credit card. They then told me that I was the one that made the mistake because I chose pick-up instead of delivery. I spoke to 3 different people in the store and they were going to deliver the order, but I had to pay the driver .50 more (which was no big deal). I expressed concern because by this time the sandwiches they said had been made and were sitting there for pick-up. They didn't offer to make new sandwiches. Instead the person I spoke to, said they would be fine b/c he leaves his out to warm up that long and they're fine. Supposedly, he was the manager. Then they tell me that the reason it defaulted to pick up was b/c I wasn't in the delivery area and I was in a house, not an apt. and they do not deliver to houses! Really???? I called corporate and they were going to have someone contact me and have not heard from anyone as yet. I called back today and they took my # again and was going to have someone call and still have not heard anything from anyone. I called the store again and talked to the owner. He didn't apologize for the inconvenience or anything. He was rather rude as well. This was the first time I have every dealt with them and it will be my last. So, as of this moment, I still don't have my sandwiches and they have my money. They are a big RIP OFF! I am going to contact the BBB for what good it will do.

  20. I went to jimmy john's in Richfield mn on Feb.28 2013. It was my lunch break. I told the guy who took my order that I wanted no tomatoes and lettuce on my sandwich. when I sat down to eat and unwrapped my sandwich it had tomatoes and lettuce. I took it back and a rude girl with a ponytail to the side of her head, started to yell at another employee cussing about messing up my sandwich. then she grabs my sandwich and says "what a f'n waste" slams it in the garbage. and is fling wrappers all over the floor, like if it's a hassle to remake my sandwich. there was an other female employee there that was not on the clock. and apologized to me, and said she shouldn't of punched out so early. I kindly asked her for the rude girl's name. She said her name is Crystal. I love Jimmy john's but because of her I will not return to that location anymore.! Very unprofessional to cuss in front of the customers and make them feel uncomfortable.

  26. My company was having a business lunch. I inquired about the lunch boxes and was given 3 choices with prices. It says on the menu that some toppings are freebies. We tried to order this and was told the toppings were extra. So we were going to go for the next size up and were told that what it specifies in the lunch box was also an extra cost. So we purchased our sandwiches and brought in our on sides. When we got the receipt there was an $11 delivery fee. The kicker on that one is that we were only 3 blocks away from the store. I can understand $2-$4 fee for delivery but $11 is crazy. I walk to Jimmy Johns from my office sometimes. Then I go to make a complaint with corporate headquarters and they want to charge you $25 to make a complaint. All I can say is that your sandwiches are good but you have lost my business and the business of my company. I will also let my family and friends know how much a rip off company you are. When I want a sandwich for lunch I will just walk another 4 doors down and pick one up from Subway. I like theirs just as much and I can choose what toppings I want for free.

  30. Store number 2024 was so rude, they should pay more attention to how an unwich is made instead of hitting on customers that walk in. I asked for another piece of lettuce and was told we don't do that even after I offered to pay for it. How uncomfortable $ 9 for couple slices of tomatos and cucumbers thin peice of cheese and no lettuce bag of chips I won't be back.

  31. I worked at a jimmy johns in clinton iowa! store 1090! And the owners are drunk all the time and they call and come to the store that way and freak out. They say things are ok to do one day and then the next day its not ok! They also watched us all the time on the cameras. Asking for a raise was a joke.. They also like to sometimes down grade their employess! I thought Jimmy Johns was fun! If the owners can be drunk and act the way they do at bars knowing people know who they are then I think we should be able to wear two sets of earrings rings on all fingers and tattoos! Its only fair right!!!!!!!!!!

  32. I think the slogan of delivering sandwiches freaky fast is causing a dangerous environment and maybe they should come up with a slogan about quality of food and not how fast they can get a sandwich to you. A delivery driver was going over 60 mph down a residential street that is loaded with children. When a company values sandwich delivery over people's lives, something needs to change!!!!! When I approached the driver, she stated she wasn't aware of the speed limit. REALLY!!!! You are in a residential subdivision, not on an expressway. The drivers having to live up to the standards of freaky fast delivery is NOT SAFE and is a recipe for DISASTER.....so disguted!!!!

  33. I understand why people are done with Jimmy Johns they can never get your order to be delivered correct. Once again we ordered from the store at 5801 N May Ave in OKC and once again the order was not complete, this time I think it was the online ordering, got my pickle but not the sandwich. So now I get to work a 12hour shift with just a pickle. Not very filling.

  34. We stopped at a Jimmy Johns in Ankeny, Iowa today. There was not a manager available, however, there were 10-12 people working standing around not doing anything but listen to the music that was turned up so loud we could not even hear the person repeating our order. We asked if they could turn down the music so we could hear them and not loose our hearing in the process by several of the employees and were totally ignored as though we were not even present. They were also so pushy to hurry us up with our choices, even though we were the only one at the order desk.
We will never go to this Jimmy Johns again and will recommend to everyone never to either. This better never happen again because this is one regular customer that will not continue being a customer!

I walked into work today and wasn't aware that we weren't. Getting our checks. So when I asked. My manager she talked at me and said she's. Not dealing. With my attitudes. And that I can go home.. I told fine once I begin to leave she said don't come in tomorrow. As well so I sad why and. That I'm not leaving until I know. She replied I'm not talking to you until you stop raising. Your voice..i said no I'm calm and me as a employee I have the right to know why my hours are getting tooling away..i sat in her office for 10 to 15 waiting. On her I never got my answer. Long story short I quit..no respect

I wanted to order 3-4 sandwiches for delivery in Westmont and was told they don't deliver to this address. WTF kind of company is this? It's in the same town! The customer service was non-existant.

I called and asked for the phone number for the corporate HQ and the 'manager' told me there is no # for their HQ. @ssholes. I will never go to this place again and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

When you talk to them on the phone...very rude.Hope JJ's goes under, they SUCK.

  37. My husband and I ate at one of your facilities on Peachtree Parkway in Norcross GA. After ordering and receiving said sandwiches, I was told that (a) you had no condiments (i.e., salt, pepper, mayonnaise, mustard, etc.) and (b) you could not microwave or toast my sandwich as you didn't have either a toaster or a microwave. Further, I was charged extra for a whole wheat sub roll, and the attitude of the two imbeciles who you employ there was deplorable. This is a new location and I don't give you six months. We will never eat at another of your facilities and will pass the word to whomever will listen.

One slice of cheese and two slices of turkey. I think it may have had a little mayo on it. It was so cold my fingers froze. Seemed like it was just taken out of a refrigerator. (pre made). 42. While I was in Jimmy John's on 103 Marshalls Street, Syracuse New York for a late night snack around 2:30 AM Sunday on October 27 2013. My food was ready so I got up to got it. One of the employee yelled out "Egg rolls", at first I didn't think he was referring to me so i just ignored it. While i went back down to enjoy my snack the employee went around the counter and I'm guessing he was cleaning. He just screamed "egg rolls" again. Then he came up to me and was like "what's up egg roll". I took it offensively, so when i saw the manager "Andy" (his employees refer him to) i told him i wanted to file a complaint against one of his employee. The manager just laugh and told me "I'll take care of it". Instead, he just walk off and act like nothing happen and it was a joke. I tried to ask for the manager again but he ignored me. Felt like the manager was protecting his employee, and didn't want to take any actions to the complaint. What the employee did was offensive, and i also took it as a racist slur since I'm Asian and for the fact that i don't even know him personally.

  43. Change the police of "Freaky Fast Delivery". Your business moto should be on "Gourmet Sandwiches" not on how fast they can get them there. I work for the Fed Gov and we have several employee's that love Jimmy John's and would like them to deliver during lunch hours. However, because we are more than 5 min from the nearest store, we are out of range. We are exectly 2.9 miles from the store and were told we are just out of range!.... Really? Just concentrate on making gourmet sandwiches and get rid of the slogan "Freaky Fast Delivery", besides, the commercials and radio ads are annoying!

  45. I can't believe the lack of respect and maturity of the Jimmie Johns company. I teach in an elementary school in Omaha. We were having a school festival in a local park and notice 3 young men in front of the children wearing shirts that say "Damn Good, Damn Fast" I think what kind of parent comes to an elementary event where there are young children wearing an inappropriate shirt...well, guess what!??? It is the Jimmy John's delivery people who were bringing lunch to some of the people at our event. WHAT??? When did it become ok to represent a company wearing a shirt that we wouldn't want children to be reading out loud. Is it now ok to have 7 year olds saying "Damn"? I mean, I know kids are exposed to bad language all the time...but at a school event? and Jimmy Johns thinks that is ok..That is a family company??? I don't think so. Then today, as I headed toward the school office with my first graders, I see, AGAIN, a delivery person standing in our hallway wearing the shirt "Damn good, Damn fast" I was so angry that he had the immaturity to expose children to bad language while representing a local business. Shame on you Jimmy Johns...very poor taste, very poor.

  48. I want you to know that as of today, I am starting a CRUSADE to try to make sure that noone I know ever eats at Jimmy Johns again.

I parked in front of a Jimmy Johns store and was threatened by the owner that if I did not move my car, that my car or I may be hurt. (The language that he used can't be repeated here.) I contacted the Landlord who told me that there is no parking restriction and that Steve (the owner) was out of line.

I already contacted the manager at every store sharing the parking lot to let them know that the Jimmy Johns owner is driving away their business. I am now crafting an email to the 3000 people in my address book who live in the Lakewood and Golden area. Next I will engage my wife (a public relations consultant) to craft a PR campaign to get the word out about how I was physically threatened by Jimmy Johns, and asking that everyone try to find a replacement lunch spot.

I haven't been this angry about how I was treated in 20 years. The last time I started a campaign like this, the store was out of business in 6 months. Luckily this time it is much easier to get the word out to all of my friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

BUT, the real gripe is they will not deliver 2.6 miles north of their store straight up the street (Congress Avenue) on the Boca/Delray Beach line. 52. I worked for Jimmy John's in Belton, MO. for almost a year and was a manager there for some of that time. I loved working there, and my time spent there will always be remembered fondly. The reason I left was, despite having an owner who cared very much about pleasing his customers, corporate policies won't allow it. Jimmy John's corporation is quite possibly the most customer unfriendly place I've ever seen. I couldn't handle anymore angry customers yelling at me for something I wasn't allowed to change. Such as the horribly loud music... we aren't allowed to turn it down, or the no refund thing... that's just not right... some complaints are just ridiculous though.... no salt or pepper? Really?? Wow. Just saying. Try the Belton Jimmy John's if you're ever in the area! The employees there are the friendliest, and they at least try to do everything they're allowed to make your visit one worth repeating!!

I called approximately 5 mins ago and I was informed by the Jimmy John's employee that due to a Corporate visit two days go that I'm no longer in the delivery area for the Druid Hills, Atlanta, Georgia store. This is unfortunate because I was looking forward to a delivery after work and now I've been inconvenienced for being .2 of a mile off of the now farthest street they deliver to; which is Briarcliff and I live an immediate right turn off Briarcliff on Sheridan Road. I was a customer that ordered alot due the delivery but I might have to reduce my business of going there. I appreciated the concerned apology of the employee but its a shame corporate is volunteering to reduce their business in the area.

  59. My son just applied to be a delivery driver at JJ. My son memorized the menu and passed the test and was about to accept the job, when I intervened and asked him "do they provide commercial car insurance?" To which he replied "no they do not." We have GEICO, one of the best car insurance providers out there. GEICO said our son wouldn't be covered if driving in a 'delivery' capacity. I called JJ corporate office today and 'Brian' (a CSR) told me their drivers are required to have their own insurance. So one of two things are happening, either JJ drivers are not covered at all (so beware) OR their youthful drivers are also upper-class; wealthy enough to have both regular insurance in ADDITION to a commercial policy (much more expensive than regular coverage). I'm inclined to believe the former - I doubt very much that JJ drivers are covered at all. So beware people.

I told my son he would not be able to take the position. He completely understood and is looking elsewhere

They forgot the pickles, so next time when I called in an order a day or two later, I told them that I had paid for pickles last time but didn't get any so asked if I could get them for free with this order. The person I spoke to started making excuses and told me the delivery people are too busy and can't help me. It wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't given me a pickle for free but I wasn't expecting them to deny my whole order. I won't be ordering from them again.

  62. To whom it may concern I am writing you to let you all know that there are lots of problems at your newest store 2168 in Iron Mountain Mi. 49801

    1. Your GM Amanda Wiseman is currently dating an employee at this store and his name is David Steping and they are living together at your GM's house further more there seems to be a lot of favoritism going on at store 2168

2 I do not know how promotions work but they should be be done with hard work and letting your GM and other managers seeing the hard work promotions should not be given out for favoritism and what I mean is your GM at this store has promoted someone because of favoritism the person she promoted is the brother of the person she is dating and his name is Mike Steping he is the only one with access to making change from one reg to another reg and he started the same time that all of the employees started I am not sure what Jimmy John's policy is for fraternization but your GM at store 2168 is hang out with the the above 2 employees and a 3rd employee name Justin K along with a few others they normally go to the bar on Wednesday night along with the other manager Kyle M and she has gone to Escanaba Mi on a couple occasion and has had above 3 employees at her home.

3 Both of the brothers have had several complaints called into your corporate office and police have called and had made mention for hiring them the employee your GM is dating has been arrested for stealing years ago but this still bothers people who know these 2 brothers and all 3 employees mentioned above do give the GM a hard time when she ask them to do things related to work her boyfriend will just look at her when ask to do something he thinks that just because he is dating the boss he does not have to do much the other 2 do but only when asked more then twice and the your GM's boyfriend David Steping has been seen smoking while out on a deliver with is jimmy gear on

4 one day all employees was in the store working when a 4th employee name Seth V came in and everyone got a big strong Oder of marijuana it was on his clothes and all through out the back room of the store and when confronted bout the smell he denied it and then above said employee Seth V was seen in the back hiding a box in his nap sack and the back room smelled of cologne really strong. I feel strongly that these issues should be checked out ASAP and in other thing about Mike Steping he is always coming into work late and has never been wrote up and your GM's boyfriend David Steping missed a shift this past Saturday 02/01/2014 and did not find his own replacement and I am sure because he is dating the boss was not wrote up

  66. I have been to Jimmy John's twice (2 times for those who work in the Chandler, AZ at 2640 E. Germann Road). The first visit was a terrible experience, I first placed my order with a rude, unprofessional, and condescending child who gave me no respect as a first time customer. It was like pulling teeth about the menu, and even worse when I found out he was a manager! But, no! It gets better! lol Then they had the gaul to not prepare my sandwich to order, but according to what they were accustomed and displayed attitude when I had them remake the sandwich. I wasted 40 minutes waiting on a sub sandwich! Wait! It gets better! On my second visit, I placed the order over the phone because I needed something quick. When I went to pick up my sandwich, the little girl at the register was talking to one of the guys, I stood there then interrupted to give her my name, she said "oh yeah", pulled a back out from the side of the register and gave me the bag. I gave her my cc for payment, I waited for a receipt while she and the other little boy continued their conversation, then finally asked if I am going to get a receipt. She shook her head from side to side, I repeated my question, she then verbally said "no", and continued on with her conversation. I was in disbelief. I reached the door, turned and asked again if I was to get a receipt, she again said "no". I left and checked my bank account to be certain they didn't take any extra money out of my account, and for which I will do again today and the next day. I will never spend another dime at ANY Jimmy John's until they start hiring professionals and not the neighbors child. I normally go to the Firehouse Sub Shop where they are professional, courteous, and take pride in the food they produce, but as usual they were packed and I didn't want to miss my appointment. This is late afternoon. which I DEFINITELY CANNOT say that for your location just across the street from them...those kids are pathetic and their parents should be ashamed to have developed such ingrades!

  70. Hello,

I just placed an online order with the location off of Paces Ferry Road. Since there was no way to write in any "special instructions" I immediately called to request my meat to be separated somehow from my sandwich so I could heat it up once it was delivered.. I am 10 weeks pregnant and am not supposed to have sandwich meat unless it is steaming. I was told by Chris Moukeka (apparently the Asst Manager) that under no circumstance could he accommodate my request and that the meat HAD to be ON the sandwich. I asked him to cancel the order--meanwhile while he continued to speak over me--and asked for a confirmation number. He couldn't accommodate this request either. After growing extremely frustrated, I asked to speak with his manager (James Standford was the name I was given)to resolve the issue---again, speaking over me he told me he was out of town. After trying to unsuccessfully communicate with Chris, he decided to HANG UP ON ME! I called right back, and then the gentleman decided he was just going to act like he couldn't hear me,I have never in my life been more appalled at the treatment of customer service, or lack there of, than what I received today. If in fact, Jimmy Johns really "cant" separate meat from bread somehow, someway, I really think a change should be in place. (However, I did call another location, and they said it could be done no problem--they would just wrap it under the bread) I would like to know what will be done to compensate my time and treatment today as this is the most outrageous and silly incident over a 7 dollar sandwich.

  71. How do you justify paying Franchise Consultants 42k a year? Do you realize these are 2002 going rates for this job? Also, you add this to job ads-

If you are interested in submitting your resume for this position, you must include your salary history and minimum salary requirement.

Now, why are you asking for salary history and min reqs when it's quite clear you pay 42k? If you want any kind of experienced and quality applicants, your pay needs to be in the 60s. This WILL set you apart from the competition but NOT in a good way. As a franchisee I would not want a recent college grad with NO experience opening my store. That's all you're going to attract for these pitiful wages.

We call and order each time and we are very specific with our order that one of my co-workers wants her sandwich on the regular sliced wheat type sandwich bread rather than the normal Jimmy Johns bread. More times than not, we receive our order and her sandwich is on their regular sub bread, as well as sending the wrong type of chips etc. 9 times out of 10 the order is NOT RIGHT! They obviously never double check their orders before they go out the door! Maybe if they would slow down and check the orders it would save them another trip to come back to our office to bring us our CORRECT order!! We have called and addressed this with two different managers. One is a female and one is a male. NOT ONE TIME have they owned up to their mistake and offered to do ANYTHING to make this right! They tell us that when we order we need to be more specific or argue that we must have not told the person on the phone the type of bread we wanted! Today, my co-worker called back and asked for Corporates telephone number in which she was told that he was not allowed to give out and she told him she would just call another office and get it or look it up online and basically he told her good luck with that, because we arent going to get it! We no longer will be ordering from this location! Unfortunately the other two locations here in Decatur cannot deliver to us, but I guess we will have to drive across town in order to get our order right and get better service! Very disappointing, especially for the price you pay! 3 cold sandwiches, and 2 chips for almost 24 dollars!

  75. The Jimmy Johns in Festus MO will only deliver in a 2 mile radius. No wonder the delivery is Freaky Fast. Is this corporate policy or individual policy?

  76. Always HAD a great experience with Jimmy Johns until today. I called for a delivery and was told they do not deliver to my area, even though they have delivered to me twice before. We live a mile from the store. I drove to the store and the manager was nasty to me and told me to take it up with corporate and told me to get out of his store. Sooooo here you go corporate! Good food piss poor management!! Not only was he extremely rude but couldn't even tell me which store would deliver? Your drivers have been tipped VERY well... and they are not happy about Chris taking their tips way. SUBWAY!

  77. First I will say that Jimmy John’s on Peachtree in Atlanta has always served me with fast delivery service and my sandwich choice, always delicious. On Tuesday, June 24, 2014 I made the call to my favorite sandwich shop Jimmy John’s, so much a fave that the phone number is programmed into my work phone. On this day though, I was met with such rudeness that was not necessary in the least. I called to place my order and was told that they didn’t deliver to my address, that the 600 block on Ponce was the lowest number they delivered to, me being at the 300 block on Ponce. I was shocked by that and asked if anything had changed and that this number was the one I’ve always used and the guy on JJ’s end said nothing had changed but that they didn’t deliver to my address and that the Ivan Allen location may be able to help me so he gave me the number. I called JJ on Ivan Allen and was told they did not deliver to my area. I then called JJ on Peachtree again to be told that that they didn’t deliver to me. I told the guy on the line that their number is programmed into my phone and that this is the same number I call every time. I’ve ordered so many sandwiches at this location and should know who I’m calling. I told him he couldn’t tell me that they never delivered to my address and he said yes he could. At this point I was fuming and said again that he couldn’t tell me and that I know who I ordered from. He said he could tell me that they never delivered to the Building (where my office is located) and that he had an order to take and then he hung the phone in my face!! I called right back and asked for a manager. I was on hold less than minute and the same person came back on the phone and attempted to apologize because they “thought” it was for Ponce Ave not Ponce de Leon. How about there’s only one Ponce near me. After the treatment and condescending tone I received from this person at the Peachtree location I couldn’t simply accept that apology. I felt so belittled by this person’s attitude that I actually cried while on the phone with them. Never in my life has anyone ma de me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I did tell the person that I did not accept that apology and that I will never order from JJ again and that if I knew anyone here that ordered from them I’d ask them to stop. The way I feel now, I don’t even know if I could eat a sandwich from JJ even if it were free. JJ is no longer programmed in my phone and I hope in the future all staff will learn to value their customers and just take a moment to really listen to what is being said and not assume. I was never rude or yelled at all though I wanted to. I pride myself on customer service and would never treat anyone like I was treated. I hope no other customer has to go through that.

  79. Placed an order at work for ceo and board member. Text message i received after a delivery.

"What's that Argentina line? just got stiffed on a delivery in 15720"

Was it necessary and might i add unprofessional to send this message to me? My guess the delivery person was upset that he didnt get a tip and was expecting me to do something about it.

  80. Hey guys nice corporate office. Are you remodeling your CEO's office and you need some moola to put in the gold bathtub and fixtures? I was smacked in the face by a nice price hike when I went to my local Jimmy John's in Monticello MN. Almost 20 bucks for 2 subs, 2 chips, and 2 drinks...whoa. I asked the guy behind the counter and he said no joke.I told him that would be the last time we grace the door's of Jimmy John's...no joke. I thought the price was too expensive at around 18 bucks for the same thing last time I visited which on average is once a week. Back to Subway my friends and I hope they bury you in the cinders of your own greed. I am also under the understanding that you make your employees buy their own uniforms? No matter it won't mean a thing to these poor people who work for you, they soon will be out of work. Hey they can always sell their t shirts on Craig's List. They'll need the money.

  81. I just quit Jimmy John's today, and WOW, the stories I have. I worked at the Baxter Avenue store, in Louisville Kentucky. Almost everyone there is on some sort of drugs, and doing them in the back parking lot, myself included. I came in fucked up so many times, and nothing was said. The day shift is ridiculously lazy and leaves the bulk of the store cleaning to night shift. The GM is CRAP, he promoted a driver to late night manager after sleeping with her. The manager they sent to Corporate in Champaign Illinois was a drug dealer. Their late night manager, has sex with the employees. The only manager that Was drug free and enforced any of the corporate rules was Electa Hazenstab. I wasn't the best employee by any means, but considering that the GM literally plays a game on his phone while standing by the registers... LMAO, clearly the employee expectations are low.

  82. Hi there I work at the Jimmy Johns on W Campbell in Richardson Texas. I see a lot of my fellow employees smoking cigarettes outside in uniform. Even though they are not supposed to. I have tried telling my store owner. But he refuses to do anything. I find it very disrespectful and gross.

  84. Jimmy John's SUCKS! They are rude at every store. They run misleading advertising in all of their campaigns. They advertise promoting delivery more than anything else yet they don't really deliver. They only deliver in a 1 mile radius of each store. No matter how many complaints they get or see online they continue to run these campaigns praising their delivery. EVERY chain in America that delivers serves more customers and covers a more appropriate radius than them.
Amazing--they promote the one thing that everyone complains about. Next they will run an ad about salt and pepper. Ask someone at the store why about either issue and they will say "corporate's fault".

  85. I love Jimmy John's! Lots of negative comments, but store 1289 in Chesterton, Indiana is a cut above the rest it seems. Every time I walk into that store, I'm greeted by a friendly crew and will have a nice chat with the manager or sandwich wrapper in the small amount of time it takes for my sandwich to be made. They are also always very accommodating of my sometimes complicated orders and fix mistakes (mine or theirs) with no hassle whatsoever. My only complaint is sometimes the line is too long!
I only wish I was inside of the delivery zone so they could bring it to my home. I meet them at the edge of their area and sometimes the driver is even nice enough to bring it to me! (I don't want to get anyone in trouble) I've even seen a few delivery bikers which shows that these guys are working hard to bring you your food.
Don't listen to the haters, they just don't know the Jimmy way it seems

  87. I just visited store number 1229. Might I say the employees there have a very poor attitude. This is without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. Especially the girl with the tattoo on her neck. Wow I have never been so belittled in my life. After stating that my order was to go she says to me "Sir you can help yourself right there" and pointed to the bags and napkins with an overjoyed look on her face and snobby attitude. I'm glad you are so happy that I am never coming back to Jimmy Johns mam. If that wasn't bad enough I bit into my sandwich only to find it dry and crunchy. All in all a very bad place to go and eat.

  88. Very Very Very Very poor customer service - spoke with a young lady by the name of Jen who was not only rude but very abrupt. Need to work on this Jimmy Johns it is a sure way to go out of business quickly. I will not be ordering from you again.

  89. We were so excited about Jimmy John's going up in our area. They don't deliver to our work even though they are less then a mile away. Now this new one is .71 miles from us and they won't deliver they say we are a block out of their delivery area. I have Jimmy John's at least once a week, and I always pick up about 25 sandwich's when I go for everyone at work. This will not happen again I no longer will order or get Jimmy Johns and their commercials are a total lie they do not deliver anywhere.

  90. Hello,

Love that you guys deliver, decent food too!

Heres the rub (my complaint I guess...sorry). There is a store in Peoria AZ on the corner of Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant. The deliver, but only within like 2 miles. There is a Barrows right near them, katty corner, that does deliver to our area. Why would this store not? You are missing out on so much money by excluding delveries to the area of Crossriver and Dos Rios. Good neighborhood...lots of lazy people and not many delivery options.

please speak with your guys at that store and ask them to kindly reconsider delivering to Crossriver and Dos Rios neighborhoods. It is less than 5 miles fom your store there.

I would certaily spend MUCH more money if I could have it delivered to my house.

thank you fro listening to my rant (if anyone did in fact listen).

  91. on 8/1/2014 I placed an online order. I never tip before I recieve my order.it took over 30 mins to recieve my order even the girl delivering my order apologized for the wait. I didnt tip at that point either due to the wait. I go to check my bank account on 8/5/2014 and notice someone took it upon themselves to add a $1.00 tip. I have been calling their customer service everyday since and I keep being told someone will call me back and so far that hasnt happened. for me its not the amount of money its the fact ive been stolen from and no one at jimmy johns cares to make this right. needless to say they have lost me as a customer

  93. Jimmy Johns has great sandwiches. I regularly enjoy the Beach Club in downtown Lansing, at your state capitol location. As our country and our state work to create a culture of health through healthy eating and active living, restaurants have an opportunity to win more customers by making the healthy choice the easy choice. To that end, what would it take to help your customers, by letting them choose whole wheat bread over white, and not be charged extra money?

  95. hey i was just fired from JJ's Gourmet Sandwich in the Los Angeles district. I was fired because i had hadnt informed my manager that i had gauges when i stated that i dont wear them anymore, he wasnt even specific, he just said if i wear gauges. not if i wear gauges and have holes, because of him i am now jobless (not that i care) i feel that it was wrong of him and now am going to take it to corporate to either fire him or write that guy up. It ALSO states that if the employee has holes from gauges that he or she can wear a bandage over them and mine are smaller thatn a dime which it says to leave them alone. I dont see why he had to et me go. i guess he thought i lied and therefore let me go after i was working for an hour on my first day. I think that fuckin white asshole is a fuckin prick. Please tell me if im wrong because i feel like he made a complete mistake.
