  3. STAY AWAY...SALES PEOPLE AND JEWELERS LACK EXPERTISE TO PROPERLY DIRECT YOU IN YOUR PURCHASE. Sorely disappointed in Jared. My husband and I bought diamond earings for my daughter when she was born but did not pierce her ears for 9 months...we just went to put her new earings in for the first time and the posts were made too short. We took them back for them to re-do the posts due to their lack of expertise to notice that no human being could wear something so short...they refused to re-do the posts at no additional cost...we originally paid $92.99 to have the posts made to screw back. They wanted to charge us another $92.99 to fix them stating that we are the ones who requested them that small. This is not our expertise...a jeweler with any real experience should have questioned the ability that any human could wear the earings they were so small. After deliberations with the local branch and they even went to Corporate...both advised that it is not their problem.

  4. We just recently purchased a ring from Jareds in beavercreek ohio. We bought an engagment ring that didnt have a wedding band to go with it. so we had to have it custom made for us, so we started that process knowing we wouldnt have it in time for our wedding day which was fine cause that was our fault do to poor planning. Te guy in charge of the custom orders assured us that we would have the engagment ring for the wedding though. so we went in for the ring 2 days before our wedding to pick up my husbands ring and my engagement ring, but my ring was not there we asked about it and he said he didnt have it there and couldnt have it there in time for the wedding. I was very upset with that, but we just lefted and went to Meijers and bought a cheap 50 dollar ring so I at least had something to put on my finger on our wedding day. We went on our honeymoon and they assured us once again it would be done when we got back. So when we got home Saturday we called and it wasnt in. So we called back again on Tuesday and it wasnt in still. It wasnt done until the next Tuesday. So we went and picked it up, which every drive there was an hour both ways, we got the ring. Got home and I really started to look at it closer only to noctice they had put 2 deep stratches in my engagement ring and had messed with one of the prongs which looked like crap. The new custom wrap look horrible too, it was dull and super wavey. So the very next day I took it back to the store, another 2 hours. I talked to a guy in there who told me he woulod have them buff it out. I sat in there for 1 hour wating for my ring which I found out had just been done and setting back there for about 20 minutes. Another had to actually go back and get it cause the first guy I guess didnt feel like helping me anymore. He was just standing around talking to other workers there. Well when I got my ring back it looked the same and I told them that, so they told me to come back in when the custom designer guy came back, which would be the next Tuesday. I took the ring with me and put it back in the box. I took it that night to show my parents and a diamond fell out when I was passing it to my mother. So I put back in the box and kept it there until Tuesday. I took it in to talk with the custom designer another 2 hours who tells me he see nothing wrong with it. So I straight told him I didnt like the way it looked. So he told me they would recast it and them he asked me if there were any changes I would like to do to it. I said yes and told him I would like it if thet just rounded off the corners where the wrap met the ring and he told me that wasnt possible. I knew it was possible so, I told him I didnt want they wrap if they couldnt change or fix the ring, but since I signed the contract I had to just have the ring recast. Also they would have to start from stratch, I told them I to recast and but round the corners. He said they couldnt, which makes no sense. So they told me the new ring would be in in 2 weeks now its going on a month and I still dont have either ring. So for anyone wanting to go to Jareds DONT. And dont even get me started on the warranty issue or my husbands ring.

  6. The repair department does not stand behind their repairs. They restrung a necklace for me and within months, the strings had stretched out and broken. The store manager at the Hulen Mall store, Ft. Worth, Texas, was extremely rude, unprofessional and condescending, telling me that it stretched out and broke because "I wore it too much." His comment was the most outrageous comment I have ever heard regarding a poor repair job which was clearly their fault. I sent in a letter of complaint to the Corporate Headquarters and they have failed to reply. Don't shop at Jareds!

    The service is the worst I have ever received. The location in Virginia Beach Va. is the place were I have bought jewelry for my wife. I spent tope top dollar for a diamond only to find out later the diamond was not the quality they stated when we purchased it.

My fiance and I went into Jared Noth Olmsted ohio to purchase engagement ring , got sized at no chatge, were told at the register this sale is contingent, sales rep should have told us before going to the register, said she would contact us the following day, never did contact us,we call in only to find out that the ring is no longer available , I wish we had cjecked these reviews before going to jared the sales before going there, please, please do not go to jared!!!!

  12. Will never buy from them again. Ring broke after two months. They do not stand behind their product. Was treated poorly and told it was MY fault. Cheap jewelry and nonexistent customer service. Even though Zales is a chain store too they are so much better.

  13. I went to Jared in Aventura to get my wedding band cleaned, because I purchased the service plan. I have engravement on the outside of the ring, the person that cleaned the right, removed the engravement. I was told that Jared’s would engrave the ring free of change, because it was their fault, they did not advise me that the engravement would be removed. I said OK, thanks for the integrity, so the person that removed the engravement did not remember and it was engraved wrong. At that point, I was still understanding, my husband ring was ok, but my ring was not, so they said they would do it correctly this time, when I left Jared’s they called me to asked which font, I chose again, right after leaving the store, incompetent. When I went to pick up the ring, it was not done, because the machine needed to be replaced (7days later). Finally, I got the ring and it still was not correct, so they had to reengrave the ring again. This is now my 3rd time back at the store and the ring was not engraved correctly, i was tired and worn out by this point, so I signed the paper and took my ring home. I called the store and spoke to John (manager) the original person to advise me that the engravement was removed and they will reengrave it for free. I asked him could I take the right back to the original store (Federal Hwy between Oakland Park and Sunrise Blvd.), I wanted to make sure, the store would not charge me a fee, he said yes, just to have the store call him when I get there. Now, I'm at the store and Jim (I think) is helping me with the ring, Alexis comes and advise me that it can't be done and I need to go back to Jared Aventura, I told her the entire story several times and she just would not help, I called the other store and Alex (the store manager) advise that John is not there and they needed to check with him 1st and to return to that store, but that store did the job wrong 3 times, why would I go back there? Eventually after being on the phone with customer service over 1hour and a half, Alexis says, she will use a gift card to solve the problem, I was in that store from 6:15-8:45, on the phone going back and forth with Kathleen at ext. 1242, a resolution specialist, which hung up on me and had to eventually call the store on another line to speak to me. I could not believe that the customer service was so horrible, after it was not my fault any of this happened. They finally got a hold of John and he advised them, yes, he said I could go to the other store, but he never said the service would not be taken care of, he said, he told me to tell them to call him to see if they are doing something different then his store, which is ridiculous because he could just call that store himself, why involve me and Alex, said that all the machines are the same, so that makes no sense that John would think that, he was not being truthful, he just wanted to get rid of me and thought that the other store was just going to take care of it. Alexis was not so pleasant either, she kept coming to me and saying we are not going to do it, advising me to stop calling customer service, when I was not calling they just kept on transferring my call and I had to repeat the situation to about 4 people and being placed on hold for 20 minutes or more at a time. It was just a very bad experience for a "preferred customer", I sure did not feel preferred, and more like dirt. I will not purchase another thing from Jared.

  14. Do NOT go to Jared. Jared the Galleria of Jewelry attempted to charge a new no-interest account after the first month's payment which was not only submitted a week before the due date but substantially over the amount due. This was also after being haggled by their Sales to sign up for a Jared credit line rather than pay for the amount in full, which I was prepared to do at time of purchase. Upon calling their customer service line, they attempted to spout legalese before realizing that the account was indeed under the appropriate qualifications for no interest and the amount should have never been charged.

  17. wow, all I can say is my experience out here in rancho Cucamonga, California at Jareds was exceptionally good. All the salespeople at that store that helped me and my boyfriend were wonderful. We picked out my engagement ring and it was beautiful. we are very happy with our purchase and how we were treated there. However good customer service goes a long way and I am sorry for those of you that have had such a horrible experience especially when it comes to purchasing your wedding rings. Wedding rings are a big deal for a lot of reasons, Good customer service is very important when it comes to making a purchase that you will ware the rest of your life. If I had that kind of an experience that you folks did I definitely would not shop there either.

  18. Jared is a rip off!!!! I bought a Tag watch from the Rancho Cucamonga CA store for a x mas present for my wife. in late January she went to adjust the date and time and the crown popped out. Now keep in mind this is not an everyday watch had worn it less than 5 times. we took the watch back to the store as when it was sold to me it was represented to me that the entire watch was under warranty. at the time they said no problem it will be 4-6 weeks to get it back. Okay that is fine we said. Approximately 6 weeks later we get a call asking for $249 to repair the watch as the crown is not covered under the warranty as well as nothing has been done to fix this watch. After a bit of complaining and expressing to them what had already transpired we were told it would be taken care of. then another 4-5 weeks go by and we get another phone call from a Tom Bartholomew asking for $168 to now repair the watch that has still not been fixed.
    after again explaining the circumstances was told I would be contacted within the next few days as he was going on vacation. Another week goes by and I have to call them as I was never called back as promised and again was told it would not be covered and thus in order to have it fixed I would have to pay. they have had my watch for over 6 months and I still don't have it.
    This company, their sales staff, service technicians et all are all A BUNCH OF CROOKS and have the most unprofessional attitude I have ever experienced. Needless to say I will never ever purchase anything from Jared's or any of it affiliates.
    I have also contacted my attorney as their actions in my opinion clearly are of a fraudulent nature and I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and any other consumer advocate group I can find.

  19. Visited the Jared store in Frisco, TX looking for a ring for a family member 50th birthday which will be next year, when my siblings and I entered the store we did not get any assistance. I asked a sales lady where a certain ring was located she did go to the showcase and said they are right here but she did not go behind it to show or help assistance me in what I was looking for. I guess the credit card that a friend of mine has will never be used because with customer service like that I would rather shop somewhere else. After returning back home I called the Corporate office and they were useless. So much for JARED

WOW after reading all of these reviews, I now understand why the Manger at the Lewisville, TX store was so proud to let me know the 3rd time of REDO on my wedding ring set "Was the best they could do". He was also thankful when I told him I would be letting everyone at work know about the sloppy work they do... he actually said that was fine. Never an apology for the sloppy repair work or the 2nd time they wanted to charge me another $187 on top of the $230 I paid to have the replair done in the first place. I wanted to reach out to Corporate but I see they don't care about having customers or new buiness. I had taken my ring to the "Fix it Repair" in a mall and got just as sloppy work done but sure paid less. I THOUGHT taking it to a place they did the work on site and took pride in their jewerly would be a "SAFE" place.... this was a huge error on my part. I will read reviews from now on and NEVER set a foot back in that five and dime store again!

  21. I cannot believe how much of a scamming company you are. The quality of your product is garbage garbage garbage. I bought a diamond from you for a lot of money and I took it to another jeweler and had it appraised and I found out its worth have is much as I paid and no this guy was not out to get me I told him straight up what I wanted to know. I then brought it to 5 different places and all of them said it was worth way less and they showed me the same diamond with the same quality, same grade and everything and they sold it for 1/3 of that price- Really Really Really what kind of crap and scam are you running.. I then tried to return my diamond and of course you would not return it and I kept getting the same bs you didn't buy the extended warranty- why the hell do I need to buy one when two days later I return it?? Come on... This place needs to be shut down right now and never be able to sell jewelery again ever and ever.. And quit trying to get people to sign up for your damn card its bs if I wanna pay cash that's how I want to do things so once I say no thank you I don't want the card you leave it alone and quit asking me ten times.. Enough said and obviously enough people agree with me after reading all these other reviews.. Seems funny how we all have had such a similar experiece that should tell you something and other people something... Please go out of business

  22. My name is Stacey Williams. I was an employee at Jared located at 6569 York Ave, Mpls MN. 612-861-1800. Store Manager Dan. I worked a total of 30 hours August 29, 30, 31, and Sept.!st, 2013. My last day of employment was Sept.!st. I did not return to Jared, as I felt the conduct in the store was completely unprofessional with a complete disregard to customer service. I was supposed to receive my paycheck today. I called the Jared Human Resources Department, and was told there was no record of my employment. I then called the store manager, Dan, who did not have any answers for me. I will expect my pay check in full by Monday, Sept. 23rd. If I do not receive this paycheck by Monday, I will be entitled to penalties paid by your company equal to one day of pay for each day beyond today's date of Sept. 20th 2013. Your company is currently in violation of Federal and State labor laws, by not having my final paycheck paid to me by today's date. I have spoken to a private labor attorney who is anxious to file a law suit to not only collect the pay that is due to me, but also the daily penalty as stated by law.     2. Stacey, I have owned my ring now for 1.5 years. I have had the mount tightened numerous times and replaced 2 times. My center stone continues to come loos and even fall out (which seems to be consistent problem with their product). How can I get help in resolving this? Do you have any adivice?

  23. I was in the Amherst store in Buffalo, New York. I felt they were very unprofessional this time. There I asked if I could add another family member as a guest in the store to make a second purchase. They said YES to me. And later I called them by phone and asked the same person the same question just to make sure, and the answer again was YES for sure. But when we returned into the store, they asked us all kinds of questions very suspiciously and even with a superior manner, I had to say. Their questions were very personal and irrelevant. We were embarrassed in the store, especially they talked about us in front of us with low tone voice to each other. I have a bad feeling that they are doing something to our account. Overall, we did not feel appreciated at all. We have been visiting this store quite frequently and make purchases regularly. However now we feel very bad about it.

    I hope someone could explain to me why their manners were so bad since I just did everything they said and what their advertisements said. I double checked with them before registering and before making payment. If they feel there was a problem, then they should work on improving their managing and marketing skills, instead of picking on us, the customers.

    1. Yes, I have had similar experience in this Jared. These store people think they are better than the customers, and they blame others for their own flaws in management and sales. They should acknowledge their ignorance and apologize.

    Jared not only has horrible quality products they also want to charge you to make the necessary repairs to the products. Then lie to you and mislead you then tell you " oh well, nothing we can do about it " WORST company ever
