  3. STAY AWAY...SALES PEOPLE AND JEWELERS LACK EXPERTISE TO PROPERLY DIRECT YOU IN YOUR PURCHASE. Sorely disappointed in Jared. My husband and I bought diamond earings for my daughter when she was born but did not pierce her ears for 9 months...we just went to put her new earings in for the first time and the posts were made too short. We took them back for them to re-do the posts due to their lack of expertise to notice that no human being could wear something so short...they refused to re-do the posts at no additional cost...we originally paid $92.99 to have the posts made to screw back. They wanted to charge us another $92.99 to fix them stating that we are the ones who requested them that small. This is not our expertise...a jeweler with any real experience should have questioned the ability that any human could wear the earings they were so small. After deliberations with the local branch and they even went to Corporate...both advised that it is not their problem.

  4. We just recently purchased a ring from Jareds in beavercreek ohio. We bought an engagment ring that didnt have a wedding band to go with it. so we had to have it custom made for us, so we started that process knowing we wouldnt have it in time for our wedding day which was fine cause that was our fault do to poor planning. Te guy in charge of the custom orders assured us that we would have the engagment ring for the wedding though. so we went in for the ring 2 days before our wedding to pick up my husbands ring and my engagement ring, but my ring was not there we asked about it and he said he didnt have it there and couldnt have it there in time for the wedding. I was very upset with that, but we just lefted and went to Meijers and bought a cheap 50 dollar ring so I at least had something to put on my finger on our wedding day. We went on our honeymoon and they assured us once again it would be done when we got back. So when we got home Saturday we called and it wasnt in. So we called back again on Tuesday and it wasnt in still. It wasnt done until the next Tuesday. So we went and picked it up, which every drive there was an hour both ways, we got the ring. Got home and I really started to look at it closer only to noctice they had put 2 deep stratches in my engagement ring and had messed with one of the prongs which looked like crap. The new custom wrap look horrible too, it was dull and super wavey. So the very next day I took it back to the store, another 2 hours. I talked to a guy in there who told me he woulod have them buff it out. I sat in there for 1 hour wating for my ring which I found out had just been done and setting back there for about 20 minutes. Another had to actually go back and get it cause the first guy I guess didnt feel like helping me anymore. He was just standing around talking to other workers there. Well when I got my ring back it looked the same and I told them that, so they told me to come back in when the custom designer guy came back, which would be the next Tuesday. I took the ring with me and put it back in the box. I took it that night to show my parents and a diamond fell out when I was passing it to my mother. So I put back in the box and kept it there until Tuesday. I took it in to talk with the custom designer another 2 hours who tells me he see nothing wrong with it. So I straight told him I didnt like the way it looked. So he told me they would recast it and them he asked me if there were any changes I would like to do to it. I said yes and told him I would like it if thet just rounded off the corners where the wrap met the ring and he told me that wasnt possible. I knew it was possible so, I told him I didnt want they wrap if they couldnt change or fix the ring, but since I signed the contract I had to just have the ring recast. Also they would have to start from stratch, I told them I to recast and but round the corners. He said they couldnt, which makes no sense. So they told me the new ring would be in in 2 weeks now its going on a month and I still dont have either ring. So for anyone wanting to go to Jareds DONT. And dont even get me started on the warranty issue or my husbands ring.

  5. I as well have bought jewelry from Jareds worst mistake ever. Word of advise to everyoney who wants jewelry for your loved ones DON'T buy from Jareds.

  6. The repair department does not stand behind their repairs. They restrung a necklace for me and within months, the strings had stretched out and broken. The store manager at the Hulen Mall store, Ft. Worth, Texas, was extremely rude, unprofessional and condescending, telling me that it stretched out and broke because "I wore it too much." His comment was the most outrageous comment I have ever heard regarding a poor repair job which was clearly their fault. I sent in a letter of complaint to the Corporate Headquarters and they have failed to reply. Don't shop at Jareds!

  7. DON'T BUY ANYTHING AT JARED'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    The service is the worst I have ever received. The location in Virginia Beach Va. is the place were I have bought jewelry for my wife. I spent tope top dollar for a diamond only to find out later the diamond was not the quality they stated when we purchased it.

My fiance and I went into Jared Noth Olmsted ohio to purchase engagement ring , got sized at no chatge, were told at the register this sale is contingent, sales rep should have told us before going to the register, said she would contact us the following day, never did contact us,we call in only to find out that the ring is no longer available , I wish we had cjecked these reviews before going to jared the sales before going there, please, please do not go to jared!!!!

  12. Will never buy from them again. Ring broke after two months. They do not stand behind their product. Was treated poorly and told it was MY fault. Cheap jewelry and nonexistent customer service. Even though Zales is a chain store too they are so much better.

  13. I went to Jared in Aventura to get my wedding band cleaned, because I purchased the service plan. I have engravement on the outside of the ring, the person that cleaned the right, removed the engravement. I was told that Jared’s would engrave the ring free of change, because it was their fault, they did not advise me that the engravement would be removed. I said OK, thanks for the integrity, so the person that removed the engravement did not remember and it was engraved wrong. At that point, I was still understanding, my husband ring was ok, but my ring was not, so they said they would do it correctly this time, when I left Jared’s they called me to asked which font, I chose again, right after leaving the store, incompetent. When I went to pick up the ring, it was not done, because the machine needed to be replaced (7days later). Finally, I got the ring and it still was not correct, so they had to reengrave the ring again. This is now my 3rd time back at the store and the ring was not engraved correctly, i was tired and worn out by this point, so I signed the paper and took my ring home. I called the store and spoke to John (manager) the original person to advise me that the engravement was removed and they will reengrave it for free. I asked him could I take the right back to the original store (Federal Hwy between Oakland Park and Sunrise Blvd.), I wanted to make sure, the store would not charge me a fee, he said yes, just to have the store call him when I get there. Now, I'm at the store and Jim (I think) is helping me with the ring, Alexis comes and advise me that it can't be done and I need to go back to Jared Aventura, I told her the entire story several times and she just would not help, I called the other store and Alex (the store manager) advise that John is not there and they needed to check with him 1st and to return to that store, but that store did the job wrong 3 times, why would I go back there? Eventually after being on the phone with customer service over 1hour and a half, Alexis says, she will use a gift card to solve the problem, I was in that store from 6:15-8:45, on the phone going back and forth with Kathleen at ext. 1242, a resolution specialist, which hung up on me and had to eventually call the store on another line to speak to me. I could not believe that the customer service was so horrible, after it was not my fault any of this happened. They finally got a hold of John and he advised them, yes, he said I could go to the other store, but he never said the service would not be taken care of, he said, he told me to tell them to call him to see if they are doing something different then his store, which is ridiculous because he could just call that store himself, why involve me and Alex, said that all the machines are the same, so that makes no sense that John would think that, he was not being truthful, he just wanted to get rid of me and thought that the other store was just going to take care of it. Alexis was not so pleasant either, she kept coming to me and saying we are not going to do it, advising me to stop calling customer service, when I was not calling they just kept on transferring my call and I had to repeat the situation to about 4 people and being placed on hold for 20 minutes or more at a time. It was just a very bad experience for a "preferred customer", I sure did not feel preferred, and more like dirt. I will not purchase another thing from Jared.
