    1. They are very dishonest!!!!! Not only dishonest but bad business. I have a scrapeguard on my car unfortunately the price is too much to fix but two zip ties will hold it for now...got oil change and saw that the guy put one and asked to put a second...didnt' do and the mgr when I went back said thats not one of our services. REALLY?! Then the car was making a horrible noise and come to find out, there were three lugs loose from them fixing my tire!!! I was very lucky. Please be aware if you go to Firestone.

    4. Bought new tires at Firestone, a week later got an alignment, paid for an alignment. Drove off only to have my car pull to the right which I have NEVER had that do on any of my cars. Took my car to a guy who owns a repair shop, he showed me there was no alignment done on the back wheels. I spent time waiting for my alignment, paid for my alignment...Firestone? Not in the near future...someone should do an over haul of employees who are dishonest...Fire them all and hire people that do care about their reputation. Firesone on Ramon in Cathedral City. CA

    1. I went to the one in Springfield, NJ on July 22.2012. They had internet coupons for tires, alignment and brake job. They changed the tires and did alignmanet(I am not sure about that as the car still pulls to the right. They said my brakes are fine, I don't need to change them. I went back again on July 27,2012 as I wanted to use that coupn for $89.95 for brake pad and resurface rotors. As I walked in and asked for it, they said they would have done it last time if I needed it. I said I want to change the pads. Guess what, now they give me a bill for $360.36 saying that I need pads, rotors, brake flush. How is that possible. They just didn't want to do the $89.95 brake jobs, because they weren't making any money. How unethical...never again. Stay away from FIRESTONE....

    2. When I deal with Firestone, I tell them what noise, vibration, etc. I feel in the car. The manager always calls me to approve any work. I don't understand why they did all that brake work without your approval. You should be able to contract someone in their district office to complain.

    3. The one in Knoxville Tennessee is also dishonest. I went and had front and back brakes put on my car And they charge me almost $500! Saying that I had pressed on brakes, and they had to use the machine to get them off this what cost so much! I only needed front brakes, when I picked it up I needed back breaks! They are very dishonest!! Firestone Knoxville Tennessee

  5. I purchased a lifetime alignment service for my vehicle. And recently had my car taken to a firestone by my house and they insisted my lower control arm needed to be replaced. It would cost $550 without tax. Then I took my car to another shop "not Firestone" and all they did was put air on one of The front tire realigned it and that's it. What makes this story even worst is that I had to take my car 3 times to Firestone for my alignment two of those times the same place I purchased their lifetime service and the third time to another store which were the ones that insisted my lower control arm needed to be replaced. I'm very disappointed with their service and would advise anyone to becareful with Firestone!

    1. similar thing happened to me, if you look in the warranty papers. It does not say anything about "tempering with the suspension will opt you out of the lifetime"(2009) but when I came into the firestone out in Huntington Beach,CA. I was opted out of this lifetime. The manager out in HB is also the rudest I have ever seen a company acted upon any customer...

    2. They keep telling me the control arm needs to be replaced too! I just dont trust them. one guy said I had major problems and the radiator needed replaced, the fluid was really dirty, the oil needed changed too -funny thing is 3 days before that I just had a new radiator and fluids put in and the oil was changed too! They were just suppose to be replacing a tire with road hazard on it or I would have never been at Firestone.

  8. BRING YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN FIRESTONE FOR SERVICE!!!

I brought my 2002 Camero to the Firestone shop on High Point Road in Greensboro, NC to have the rear main replaced. After about a few months it started leaking again; took it back. They told me to take it to the one on Battleground because they were better qualified. ???!!! They re-fixed it. a few months it leaked again, still leaking. After having my car at Firestone a total of 6 times for the rear main & an oil pan gasket, 12 days total, I had enough. I told the manager about the problem again, this time leaking more than before, He offered to fix it again. I told him I thought it should be fixed by a dealer that knew what they were doing. He told me they would do that.UNTIL his district manager found out it would cost more than they charged me. After all that time wasted I found out that FIRESTONE does not stand behind it work. IF YOU NEED YOUR CAR WORKED ON, GET IT DONE RIGHT BY PEOPLE THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING...NOT FIRESTONE.
(makes you wonder about there tires)

  10. DO NOT USE FIRESTONE!! I had my 2000 gmc sierra in for alignment and was told myclutch was going out. I had know it was so i asked them how much and how long? After a higher than normal price they said a few hours. I also had a small oil leak that i thought was from the rear seal. Since they had the transmission out i had them look at that for the leak. I was told it was the rear seal and they would fix it. I also knew i needed a new transmission rear output seal, in fact i had bought one to do myself. I asked if they could install that also since the transmission was going to be out. I was told they cannot use parts brought to them only to get charged double for the same part! I saw the box it came in, it was the same as the one i had? After 5 hours they were done. When i got home i checked for leaks, something you think a ASE certified mechanic would do. I found the oil leak was still there, the trans seal was leaking worse than before, the wires were not put back in the proper hanger clips(just dangling there) and the screws around the shifter boot were not tight because they were not lined up with the holes(but screwed in or pushed in somehow?). I took it back and they said it was the oil pan gasket leaking oil and a bad new part on the trans seal. They agreed to do the pan seal and trans seal also. So after 6 more hours i took it home and immediately saw a puddle of trans fluid. Also checked and still had the oil leak? When i returned again they said they would need the truck for a day to redo the seal and gasket again. After some arguing they gave me a rental car. 2 days later and wasted time and money i got my truck back. The rear seal had been removed improperly which gouged the trans housing and had to be sent to a transmition shop to be repaired. All they did was use some permatex around the seal where it was scarred up. Even i had mentioned that to try that to the manager? Still had the oil leak which they said they did not know but could be a bad new rear seal??? By now i have had enough! They are not going touch this truck anymore. When i got home and inspected again i found the wires and screws messed up again. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO CALL THEMSELVES MECHANICS!!!! Oh did i say i found a bellhouse bolt to the engine block stripped out! Now 8 months later my clutch starts messing up. I reluctantly went back since it was still under warranty and they test drove it and said it was working properly. Kept driving it and now it went out completely in the middle of 60 mph rush hour traffic in Houston!!! NO WAY WILL I EVER USE THEM OR RECOMMENDED THEM TO ANYONE!!! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE QUALITY OF WORK PERFORMED OR LACK THERE OF!!! FUNNY HOW MY CLUTCH WORKED FINE FOR 11 YEARS AND THIS ONE FIRESTONE DID ONLY LASTED 9 MONTHS!!! This was the store in spring texas on I45 north at rayford sawdust. PLEASE AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

  11. I have had bad experience with Firestone in Delran New Jersey. Three (3) times I have taken my cars for an oil change and each time they tell me there is a nail in one of the tires. They then offer to repair or replace the tire. Each time I took the car to my own mechanic and they could not find anything wrong with the tires. They are a rip off. Don't go there.

  14. We need more businesses like Firestone who VALUE the customer as appose to the DOLLAR. Thank you Brandon (District Manager), Dave (Service Manager) and Mike (Store Manager). In 2011 between September and November, I took my 2007 Nissan Altima to Firestone 1874 Illinois 83 Round Lake Beach, IL 60073 because I needed to replace my two front tires. The rear tires were in pretty good shape as confirmed by Firestone and at that time there was only a need for two. They suggested putting the two new tires on the rear of the car and moving the other tires to the front.

On the eve of August 28th, 2012, I happen to notice that when my car accelerates up to a certain speed that my steering wheel would begin to shake. On August 29th, 2012, I called Firestone spoke with Dave and set an appointment to come in that evening. Based on my experience, whenever there is an issue with the steering wheel shaking upon acceleration, it’s normally the tire or potentially an issue with the suspension. So the first thing that came to my mind was that the two front tires were bad. There were a couple of buckles in them and one could only assume this to be there problem. After my car was checked out, the gentleman told me that my two front tires were bad and that is likely where the issue was coming from. He said the suspension was nice and tight and they didn’t see any issues there. So I approved them to move forward and change those two tires. He then asked if I could come with him to the garage area where my car was being worked on.

When I got back there, he asked me to rub my hands across the tires that I purchased on 2011 as they now notice that those began to buckle. From there he suggested that I get an alignment and said that if I didn’t, it could decline the warranty on the new tires. He also claim that the alignment could have contributed to the new tires I purchased in 2011 buckling. He advised me that I may feel a light shaking in the steering wheel but with the new tires and alignment, this should fixe my issue. Being strapped for time, I scheduled the alignment for Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at 7:00am. When I left Firestone that very same day, I could help but notice that my issue was the “SAME”. I immediately called them the very next morning (August 30th, 2012) and asked that they make a note of this.

On Saturday September 1st, 2012, I go into Firestone for them to perform the alignment and do further assessment on my vehicle. Once all was said and done, a gentleman by the name of Dave Salas advised me that your alignment it slightly off and once we get it done, this should fix your issue and prevent the tires from any further damage. He also said, because of the buckling in the tires you purchased in 2011, you may feel something coming from them but it shouldn’t be bad. When I left there, I was still experiencing the same issue. I was very frustrated and not happy that my issue had not been resolved. However due to Firestone’s commitment to customer service and wanting to make sure that I was satisfied, they not only resolved me issue but they did it at no additional cost to me. They set a standard by which others should be “MEASURED”.

  17. My daughter took her car to Firestone in Hawaii(Oahu). She took it in for rear brakes and front end alignment. When she picked it up, they charged her 500.00 and then she was unable to place it in reverse to drive it home. I called to find out what happened. They said it was coincidenatal that transmission would fail in reverse only after repairs, yet, she drove it there with no problem, they pulled it into bay for repairs with no problem but backed it out after repairs and noticed a grinding noise and made a note in report but failed to mention it to my daughter after she paid and tried to back it out. I spoke with manager on duty and he explained they did nothing to transmission and to take it to a shop for evaluation.

  22. Two days ago (12/11/2012), I took my car in for overheating. I went to a Firestone in San Antonio, they told me that I needed to have a new water pump and thermostat and new hoses. The gave me an estimate of $1100. I decided to hold off on getting services done so that I could check with a local mechanic back home (Corpus Christi), when the mechanic checked he said that everything was fine other than the distributer cap was loose from when I checked the fluids before going out of town. Not only was everything okay but Firestone had put some oily gunk on the hoses and engine to make it look as if something was really wrong. I will never go back to a Firestone again, they care more about making money than the customer or customer service. Apparently they are not trying to retain customer loyalty and seeing as how many complaints I have read the company does not have much in the way of values or integrity. I am really disappointed and like I said, neither myself or my family will ever do business with them again.

  23. I took my car to the Firestone in Raytown, MO for a tire rotation and balance. They contacted me to advise that my car need ball joints, etc. Since I had just purchased the car from reputible dealer I contacted them and advised them of this. They came to my employer picked up my car took it back to their shop where they determined there was nothing wrong with the ball joints they also took it to another dealer who handled Chryslers specific who also confirmed that ball joints were not needed at all and my car was in excellent shape. So either the service tech did not know what he was doing or they were trying to make some money either way it was shady. Had I not questioned this I would have spent $800 on bail joints that my vehicle would not have needed. Will not be going to Firestone in any city of any state again.

  27. You all are lucky! I used to work for F/B in 2000. Remember the exploding tires? I was a mechanic by trade (A.S.E. certified)and considered myself a problem solver. When these tires started exploding, I took it upon myself to find out why. I started watching all vehicles as I followed and noticed what was going on. Wondering why they mostly blew up on Ford vehicles, I inquired to Dusty Firestone (as he called himself)and got to look at some of the damaged recalls. What I found was shocking. I explained to Dusty that there were many factors contributing but that the main one was Wrong Application! At the same time I was in the commercial shop loading a loose super-single. The bar slipped and I felt a tear in my groin. After having it fixed (sic-It Never Was!), I returned to work only to have to watch a video explaining everything I had told them before. I was asked to sign a confidentiallity paper stating that I would never reveal the true nature of my knowledge. I refused! I was chastised, had over 100 hours labor taken from me, electricuted during a repair of shop equipment by Larry Hutson-manager, as a joke. I was sent on non-existent jobs and impossible repaires by one person. When I asked for help, I was treated as incompetent. There is not enough room for everything to be told here but the book "FIRESTONED!!" is almost ready for publishing. It's a complete tell all (including my fuckups) about the drinking, drugs, and lies that this company allows in order to keep the all mighty dollar comming in. Some of it I don't believe and I was there! I have nothing to hide. All I have now is Cancer and a real bad attitude. They can have both if they need to sue me for my silence. That is all I have left, thanks! It ain't happining. People need to know that if B/F treats thier employees that way, thier customers don't mean jack shit! What is your life worth? Mine was worth @$4000 and a so far 12 years of pain and suffering. Nothing to hide-Paublorocks@hotmail.com for comments! Thank GOD that they didn't make condoms or who knows how many "accidents" would have happened. Good Luck world, you know what you're up against!

  30. I had the displeasure of dealing with Firestone here in Abilene Texas. I purchased tires from Jim Sides at Firestone on Buffalo Gap Road here in Abilene. Sent my wife with a note so got the wrong tires, alignment I didn't ask for, air filter I didn't ask for etc,. OK I wasn't there so my fault. The next morning one of the new tires was low, no problem we are up grading to better tires so again my wife takes the car to Firestone to have the tires changed. The mechanic Lonnie was quick to inform her that the leak was from a hole in the rim not the tire. So now I go to talk to Mr. Sides about the leak in the rim. I figure solid steal with many pounds of pressure compressing an ALUMINUM rim was definitely the culprit for the leak in the rim?? To my great surprise I was told that my wife must have run in a ditch or "something" on her way home. Oh please. Someone with limited intelligence, reasoning power, or imagination would be hard pressed to believe the ditch scenario. When telling this story to my friends they burst out laughing, my intent was not to make Mr. Sides or Firestone a laughing stock but that is the way it turned out. So now, off to BBB, maybe small claims. Don't know yet. All I wanted was a used rim replacement. $75.00. Irony was I was looking for someone honest to take care of my truck, my wife's car and my son's car and I need clutch work right now. I guess greed and failure to take responsibility knocked Firestone out of lots of business from me and of course I would have to tell folks to stay away from Firestone on Buffalo Gap unless they enjoy fantasy stories as to why something went wrong and its the car owners fault, never Firestone.

  31. DISHONEST DEALINGS IN WEST SEATTLE, WA.

Dec. 22, 2012 My homestay Japanese student took her car to Firestone because she felt a motor vibration. The next day, the clerk called her on the phone and told her that he had started her car, listened to it run and that she needed a $5000 new motor or she needed to buy a new car. I went with her to discuss the issue and to pick up her car. I told the same clerk that I wanted to see the diagnostics results that he ran on the car to come up with his $5000 new motor results. He said that he didn’t run any diagnostics, but when he started the car, it was obvious that a rod was loose and banging loudly in the motor. He stated that it was very obvious to those listening that the motor was not fixable and needed replaced because of the loud knocking. I questioned him on the $5000 motor quote, and he said that a new motor runs $2500¸ and repairs would be approximately 20 hours at $125 an hour. He gave us a typed up estimate saying it had a loose rod. She then took her car to another service station for another opinion. The service manager drove the car for 2 test days and found nothing wrong with the car. My student picked up the car and has driven it almost every day since then without any motor problems. Now that she knows there is nothing wrong with the car, she feels safe in the car. The motor vibration sounds normal, and doesn’t bother her. My personal opinion is that the Firestone clerk tried to take advantage of my student's lack of knowledge regarding cars, lack of knowledge regarding mechanics, her timid personality, and her lack of fluent English. I will never be able to trust this shop ever again, and will make a point to tell others not to trust it either. I have since heard other gouging and fraud stories about this W.Seattle Courtesy Tire company. Do not use this company!

  32. I have been going to firestone for many years without any problems, until this year. I have an escalade with only 44k miles, i believe one should keep their money in their local community. i have recommended their service to my family and friends for years, what a fool for doing so. i went to see them for a routine oil change and asked them to top off all of the fluids and charge me accordingly. two hundred miles later, my vehicle started leaking some type of fluid in my garage. i wiped up a sample of the fluid and took it with me to firestone. David, the manager, tells me its not oil from the oil change its transmission fluid. (i already knew what it was) so i asked him to just check it out to be sure and tell me what it will take to fix the problem. ten minutes later he tells me my water pump is leaking and needs replacing. my owners manual states very clearly if the antifreeze is anything other than Dexcon antifreeze i would have this problem. i explained that to david and he went silent. i dropped him hints and gave him every opportunity to come clean, apologize and fix the problem. it cost me almost six hundred dollars for his mistake. i filed a complaint with the BBB and im sending a letter to their corporate HQs to see what they are going to do about it. so far, i havent heard from anyone and i assume, they will play ignorant and hope i just go away. i served 12 years in the military as a Paratrooper, they are foolish to think i will just go away. I live in Rowland Heights, California and i had to eat crow by telling all of my family and friends what an idiot i am for trusting this company. depending on their response, i will either declare war on this company and do everything i possibly can to close down this location (within the law, of course) and go door to door to every neighbor and let them know what a bunch of crooks they are or perhaps get a bunch of veterans to help with a friendly protest with a bunch of signs saying how this company likes to screw over our veterans by robbing them of their hard earned money while keeping America safe or just take more extreme measures and get on the news (after all, they think we veterans have a few screws loose) and that would be the worst kind of publicity they can have. So, i will wait to see what they have to say before i take further action, in the meantime, tell everyone you possibly can to stay away from this company, do not buy any of their products or have any of your vehicles serviced by them. THEY ARE THE WORST EXCUSE FOR A MONEY GRUBBING COMPANY, THEY SHOULD EDUCATE THEIR STORE MANAGERS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE, HONESTY, BUT MOST OF ALL HUMILITY.

I purchased firestone tires during a promotion where you get a $70.00 gas card with the purchase of 4 new tires. After a 6 month wait I contacted the company to ask when I would be expecting the card. There response was that I had made a mistake {didn't send in original copy}on the form and since the time frame to respond to the error had elapsed, I no longer qualified for the rebate. I did send in the original copy but there attitude was "too bad for you", and that was it ! I would like to pass this on to anyone who is thinking of purchasing Firestone tires, especially with an attractive rebate incentive, to think twice and go to another tire dealer who you can trust. stay away from anything to do with firestone tires !

  35. Anyone residing in Selden NY area beware of the Firestone on Middle Country Road. I own a 2006 Ford Expedition. I bought it new and never had a problem. I understand 7 years later there will be items to be replace. The check engine light kept going on and every time I brought the car in I got the run-around. The technican Mark suggested using a higher grade of oil the next time I changed the oil, The technican Issac told me not to follow Mark's advice. Issac went on to tell me there was "moisture" in the motor and it was blown out and I should just bring it to the dealer because there may be a recall.

Bill, the manager would tell me the spark plugs and engine coil needs to be replaced. After 3 months and $1900 dollars later; the car still did not work. I did a google search where I typed "Ford repair shop near Selden NY." I found a repair shop called Middle Country Automotive. I was told the spark plugs were never changed and 2 engine coils have not been changed. I was under the impression the spark plugs and the engine coils were replaced.

I asked Keith of Middle Country Automotive to review all of invoices I have from Firestone. Kieth told me the coils did not need to replaced at the time of the service but would later on need to be replaced as the car aged with increase milage. However, the check engine light was on because of a "mis fire" in a spark plug. Keith told me "automotive 101 - when there is a mis fire, change the spark plugs." For the past 3 months it has been a routine for me to go to Firestone when I was off from work and complain how the check engine light is on and how poorly the car is running.

The point of this story is that the best course of action is to establish a rapport with a local repair shop and not use an automotive franchis like firestone, pep boys, auto zone, jiffy lube, etc. These types of repair shops need to "upsale" the transaction in order to make more money. Use the independant self-employed repair shop. I still ended up paying $493 to replace all of the spark plugs but the check engine light has not gone on and the car is running like it did when I first bought it.

  36. I just wanted to say how happy I am with the service I have received from the manager Tom. He has turned a bad experience into a great one. And even though my car is costing me more than I expected I am happy that he is handling my situation. After my experience on Friday I did not plan on bringing my car back to Firestone ever. I also planned on putting my bad experience on Facebook as well as blogging about my bad experience and advising my friends never to use Firestone again. Since Tom has changed my outlook on Firestone in Berkley Height I will suggest Firestone to my friends and family on Facebook as well as co-workers.

I would like to express to corporate how important good customer service is at all times and you should be glad you have a manager like Tom who knows how a customer should be treated and how important good customer service is to your business. Too many people don’t realize that for every customer your lose your company loses money and other potential customers. Please continue to stress this to all members of your management team.

“The best Advertisement is word of mouth”. Thank you Tom!!!!

  39. I will never go to Firestone again!! Their employees are rude and don't give a shit about their customers! I had a valve stem break off on my tire that came off my lawn mower, which is the same valve stem that is on my truck. The guy who in my opinion was racist against white people tells me that they don't work on lawn mower tires... A TIRE IS A TIRE!! They're all made with the same parts! I hope Firestone goes out of business because they hire rude and lazy employees, who have no business dealing with customers. The Firestone is on Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy. in Shreveport, LA. The reason I say that I think he was racist is because when I walked in, nobody was at the counter and two black girls came in behind me. He looked at me disgusted and said ill be with you in just a second. Then turns to the black girls and smiles and asks them what they needed help with all polite and shit.

  40. I went to Fireston in East Providence on Rt 44 to have my front brakes replaced...turns out I needed brake replacement front and back cause #1 they couldn't bleed the lines, then they busted the rear lines, but that's not the worse of it...what would normally take 4 hours if that to do too them ELEVEN hours....I sat in store and waited...and waited....and waited ELEVEN freaking hours AND it cost me $763.23....but the worse part was the drive home....as I'm driving home my brakes felt spongey and by the time I parked my car my brake peddle was to the floor. That is the worst service I have ever had in my life at ANY repair shop. I want at least a partial refund or I'm contacting a F**king Lawyer...............Corporate you can contact me at

  42. Took my precious Acura RSX-S to Rancho Bernardo, CA firestone and they have a "test drive" policy enforced. So the tech pulls out the parking lot onto the main street, he was at a red light when it changed green, you could hear him "riding" 1st gear like he was preparing for a "rolling" race.
This f*cker comes walking back from the test drive (with my car stranded who-knows-where) talking about my RPM is redlining....NO SH*T....you probably got onto the freeway and acted a Jack*ss with my car, AND THAT'S THE RESULTS...oh btw, according to him, It red-lined from 2nd gear...hmmm
Firestone sucks, all I wanted was my free lifetime alignment, but what I got was, A firestone team sticking together to screw a customer..Damn manager doesn't even know the Corporate's phone number (he gave me a Chicago number & they're in Tennesse) HAHAHAHA... UNF*CKINGBELIEVABLE

And my van did not need tires that bad but someone needed that comission.I guess. Stay away from the they r dishonest

  45. My old Dodge was having trouble turning over, so while I was in Fort Payne, Alabama I stopped in at the local Firestone/Westmorland shop for the second time in the same week at 3rd & Gault.
When I told him the starting problem, he said "Oh,you can go down the street to the old Shell station, he'll take care of you there". UH WHAT? I have a Firestone account, why would I go down the street. I was in tears by the time I left the store. I go to Firestone because they are everywhere and I travel extensively. DON'T BOTHER STOPPING IN. IF THEY WANT TO GET OFF AT 4PM THEY WONT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS AND THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE A FIRESTONE SIGN ON THEIR PROPERTY IF THEY ARE GOING TO TREAT FIRESTONE ACCOUNT HOLDER IN THAT MANNER.

  46. Firestone is a complete joke. All they care about is taking advantage of people and making a buck. They tell their employees to be "hustlers" and get the customer to buy things they didn't even come in for. I know firsthand because my husband was working for them for two months and was sick to his stomach at the things he saw each day. He finally had enough and told the manager he couldn't take it anymore - he actually has principles and morals and couldn't take advantage of people and lie the way the rest of them did! They ought to be ashamed of running their business this way - I always though that Firestone was a well respected company with a good reputation, but now I know the truth.

  48. MUST READ!!IT WILL HELP! REGAURDING HIRAM GA LOCATION!!!
i use to take all 5 cars to this place...they told me next time u come in we will do your alignment for free and replace tire if needed...NEVER have i met a more rude manager before...he says well the guy that told u this isnt here...IS THAT MY FAULT?!i dont think so...
so dishonest that instead of saving 5 cars worth of buisness he let em alll go for under 100 worth of buisness...
also they LIE VER DISHONEST BUISNESS!!..i am 23 old female took my car in cuz one tire had one small tear in it instead of telling me hey we will just patch it he tells me this is unfixable and u have to get a new tire...i dont know anything about cars so i call my dad..he starts arguing with him about the lies hes telling finally he takes the car off we leave and w/in 20 min the car tire is patched in $6 dollars...tried to take advantage of me consideting im a female 23yrs old and my lack of knowledge about cars.
i had made 2 trips that day..i woke up and the air was low so i took it in..they couldnt find ANYTHING wring with the tires tells me maybe its someone being vindictive that let the air out so i take my car home soon as i park i hear the "hissing noise" i feel behind the tire and surley it was leaking air..it wasnt doing this befiore i took it in..so for all i know the first time i took it in they put the hole in there so that i would bring it back and get a new tire...
i wish i had read these reviews before they sure would have came handy :(

  49. On April 23, 2013 I called to make an appointment to have Firestone in Covington, Washington run a diagnostic test. The Assistant Store Manager, Randy Cowett, quoted me a time frame of 45 minutes and price of $10.

We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment, checked in/left our vehicle, and went for some coffee. We returned 2 HOURS later and discovered that our vehicle was still up in the air with the tires off. So far we were okay with this as it seemed things were taking place. We were wrong. They'd only glanced at it. After speaking with the store manager, Dan Hartung, he said it'd take longer than what I was quoted, and that it'd cost nearly $100 just for them to figure out the issue. He garunteed that it'd only be "another few minutes" so we agreed. Another 2 HOURS went by and this time we waited there. Other vehicles were worked on while ours sat suspended in air and we noticed that other customers were also having similar issues - they were quoted one price and the actual amount was substantially greater.

After reading the comments above I realize what a HORRIBLE mistake I've made in trusting them with our vehicle. This company is nothing more than a conglomerate of sociopaths who are out to remove money from our pockets. It's gaurnteed that I will be posting poor reviews on every social media site and every Yelp sort of site I can find.

  50. I went to the firestone on Tustin in Santa Ana,CA and got repairs done and a catalytic converter put on. Then after 6 months if driving, I went to get my license plates renewed and was denied becuase thw WRONG converter was put on my car. After going back to firestone and explaining the issue, they offered to ahve it repaired and I would have to pay again. I reminded them that the repair had a 1 year warranty and I needed it fixed. Since I had moved to Redlands, Ca they said to take it there for repair but when I got to that Firestone, they said they don't do that and they wouldn't touch it. Is this how Firestone treats their customers!?! I called Santa Ana Firestone again and told him he HAD to get it repaired and I drove there and left the car with there to be fixed. It is a 30 minute weld job, I have been waiting a WEEK for the repair to be done.
NEVER GO TO FIRESTONE TO REPAIRS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

  51. My son's engine blew when he was on his way home from college for a visit. We had the truck towed to the local Firestone. Daniel Stewart at Firestone Store # 543012 in Mobile, AL diagnosed that the truck needed a new engine. Since our home is in Atlanta, we started looking for reliable mechanics that could replace the engine. Daniel kept telling my husband that he could do the work for less and get it done in 2 weeks time. My husband relented, wired the guy $1600 and let him start the job. 6 1/2 months later, after harassing this man relentlessly, he finally had his dad put our vehicle on a trailer and drop it at a gas station 13 miles inside the Georgia state line. He totally deserted our vehicle and skipped out. The truck of course would not crank from sitting idle for so long and when we jumped it off it was knocking and blowing smoke. We had the truck towed to another mechanic at least in the same state and he said the engine was bad. So this guy totally stuck us for $1600, kept the vehicle for 6 1/2 months and then dropped it and bailed.

  52. I also will never use Firestone again. I started going to them at the beginning of this year for a grinding from my a/c compressor. I paid $39.99 to have them hook it to a machine plus $139 to recharge. They told me it was the VLV CORE. $230. Then as the months past, I again hear the same sound. I take it back and once again, they made me pay the $39.99, plus this time they replaced the blower motor $257.00.
Not even a week later the same sound. So I took it to someone else only to be told the compressor is bad. Called Firestone back and told them about the 2 visit before and that the compressor needs to be replaced. This wonderful manager at Firestone in Orlando where this is all taking place said ' bring it back and we won't charge you for the recharging of the system'. They will replace it for $812 and that's when I lost it.

Have a nice day manager Juan...Oops did I say his name?

So far they wanted to visually inspect the vehicle, next morning called and they were tearing the engine apart............their offer is to repair bearings and other parts that are found damaged as needed. yet they forget the damage is done to the life of the engine, would prefer a settlement at this point.
