  1. while my husband and were shopping in cinnatti ohio a sales associate named Neil simply ingored my husband when he approched the counter to ask if they had swimwear yet. He turned his head and talked to the security guard and dismissed my husband. when he finally got his attention the sales associate simply said "if we have them, they're over there somewhere. Maybe he thinks we're not good enough to shop at your store, but if you look at our bank card you will see we have spent alot of money at your store. But no more-and we will tell everyone how we were treated. cindy bareswilt, 468 stingy creek road, cheshire, ohio

  2. I recently visited the Dillards at the Cottonwood mall in Albuquerque nm and I was very sad to hear my favorite Beauty Consultant and make-up artist had been terminaded. This beautiful and talented young lady was let go because she apparently was'nt wearing enough make-up. I know she always wore Estee Lauders make-up and made it look good, and when someone like her wears it so well that it looks natural, I say thats awesome. Alot of customers are going to miss this breath of fresh air. I for one won't be going back, because I just don't trust anyone to apply my make-up and sell me products.Big big mistake Dillards. Please send your store supervisor and managers to employee relations class, they really need it.

  3. Jan 1/2013.
McCain Mall. I was at the front of the line since 8am to wait for the big sale. While there, we witnessed women shopping in the Coach handbag dept and leaving the area with HUGE bags of Coach. It was around 9am and there were many of us who took cell phone photos of them. OBVIOUSLY, someone didn't like us doing that...SOOO they called 6 maintenance men to shove us back like cattle so they could lower the 'security shutters' and totally block our view to the store's interior. ALL we could see was a wall of metal shutters with about 200 people stacked behind us. We could hardly breathe. It was a very frightening and dangerous situation. The men used their authority to tell us those were "employees" shopping in the Coach Dept. So nothing of any value worth waiting for was left. I've shopped that store since McCain Mall opened...decades ago. This was insane today.

  4. You really need to take a look at your Merritt Island, FL store! Your store manager(Heather)clearly got her job because of a relationship with your district manager(Applebee)not because of knowledge or education. Ops manager(Brandy) knows even less then Heather and dept. managers like Janet whom haven't even had a job in over twenty years and after a year of working at your store still has to ask the people whom she is suppose to be managing how to do everything! The three of them is a disgusting mess! Several very competent employees have left one way or another, many of them had worked there for years. I would like to know why it is that Heather can "ask you to leave" and then go out on the sales floor and tell everyone that person "quit" with Brandy and Janet lying with her!
I would like to urge you to take a look at this store and see how many short and long term employees have "Quit" since Heather has been there. The number should be extremely high, way above Dillards norm. If you want your store to be respected you need to get disrespectful, dishonest employees out of there!

  6. The Arlington Texas store has ruined any shopping experiences I will have at Dillards. My daughter and I attended a special event and purchased over two hundred dollars worth of products. When we got home the products in our bag were not what we had purchased. I took the product back the following Saturday and was given the correct one. When I returned home the pump would not produce no matter how many times I tried it so I went back for yet a third Saturday. When that would not work either I went back for the fourth Saturday and asked for my money back. I had been polite and patient up to that point. When I told the sales clerk what had happened she became rude and irritated. She heard me talking to my daughter and came back over and snapped "did you have something to say to me?" When she called me over to get my refund she asked me why I had to be so rude and I told her she had been the one to be aggressive I had not. She said, "whatever, ma'am" Seriously, I spoke with the store manager and they offered to give me a store credit. At this point I do not want a store credit as I have no intention of shopping at that store again. I was told there was nothing they could do about it, I would have to call corporate. After having read all of these reviews I am now not surprised by this attitude.

  7. I was in your store on 10/2/13 and had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a store. I was looking for a dress for a marine ball and had found a dress that I liked in the homecoming/juniors area. I had tried on the dress and decided that I was going to get it but wanted to continue to look around the womens and juniors area. The sales associate named Mary Jane came over to me and took the dress out of my hand saying that I couldn't take it out of the department because people steal. She didn't come right out and say that I was but it made me feel like it. I walked over to the customer service area and talked to a wonderful woman I believe her name was Morgan. I asked if we were allowed to take clothing from area to area and she informed me that I was. I still wanted the dress but I didn't want to buy it from Mary Jane. I have worked in retail and am one of the managers in a clothing store and know that you can't treat your customers that way. Morgan was great and told me that I could take the dress to a different department to purchase it if I wanted to and if Mary Jane had any issue with it to tell her that Morgan said I could. Morgan is one of reasons I went ahead and bought the dress but Im not sure if I will return to any Dillards because it was a horrible experience.

  8. On Saturday December 7th I decided to visit the Dillard’s store located in the Collin Creek Mall. Little did I know I would be experiencing the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I have ever encountered in my life.
After I gathered my clothing I came to the front of the store to get a price-check. The store was closing within 15 minutes so I GUESS it was understandable that all three sales associates did not even look up to acknowledge me. I walked up to one of the ladies and asked if she was able to check the prices of the clothing I had chose. She told me that she did not have the ability to check the price and that if I wanted to check the price that I should take my phone out and use my calculator. At this point I was incredibly irritated because of the way she rudely and impolitely made this statement! She could have communicated this to me in a more pleasant manner, you know, the way that most customer service personals should act. She then took her calculator out and proceeded to tell me that if I wanted her to check the prices that I better read the prices to her, she refused to simply take my clothing and do the price check herself. The way she communicated to me was embarrassing for not only me but I am sure for the company as well. She furiously raised her voice and threw a fit in front of several customers just because of a simple task! I have to admit, I did proceed to tell her that she needed to act in a more professional manner in front of customers. I was appalled that I was actually being spoken to in this manner in a public setting, especially someone who was a store associate. I thought I had seen the worse so I asked this lady who her manager was and she replied by pointing her finger to her right and told me, “IF YOU WANT TO FIND MY MANAGER THEN YOU CAN FIND HER YOURSELF!”
After this experience I am not sure if I will ever see Dillards the same again. What a shame that such a prestige company would have sales associates that represent the company in such a manner. I regret any purchases I have made from this company after this experience.

  9. I just got fired from Dillars, they told me i have 30 days to bring my numbers up, from store manager. Then coming out for a break i saw my floor manager, he tells me , i have two weeks to bring my numbers up. Geee! Im not a kid dont be threatened me with bull shit! The pressure those assholes put you in do not help with sales. You work for that worthless company and your personality changes to the point you hate the other associates. Thank you Dillards. ! You are not a 5 star retail store. You are a Walmart but a bit higher maybe one step up!!!! Even the brothers are assholes.

  14. I work for dillards in paducah ky, the store manager Euigen Williams enjoys to belittle his workers, make them feel like their worthless; voicing this loudly on thw floor in front of customers. Walks around the departments to give hate full looks to his worker to create fear in them. All who work under him such as Kyle Turner, Brittny Thompson , Jody Flowers and most of the ASM's also behave just like him. They group together walk through each department to make fun and pick on the workers. Also, Euigen Williams make sexuel remarks to many of us. If you reject him , he really trys his best to cut them down. Many complant have been sent to corp by workers and customers about his behavoir and nothing is done about it. Our numbers have been down because people stop shoping with us because of Euigen. Many Pay Setters have quit working for our store because of him. Happly taking a lesser paying job to get away from this Hostel Enviroment. Euigen has a drug problem or he is mentally ill. When are the Dillards leaders going to put a stop to this monster behavor? HELP US GOD WE NEED YOU!!!!!!
