My husband and I got to the Clarion in Tennessee and checked in at 6:45. My husband filled up the hot tub that was located in our room and the water was very hot, so we turned the jets on and went for a short walk. My son and his girlfriend were with us and returned to the room before we did and a maintenance man was in the room with a vacuum. My son said the man was very rude and used foul language. My son was told that he needed to contact the front desk. My son called his daddy and told him to contact the front desk and he also stated that the room was flooded. We were just walking in the Hotel when we got the call and went to the front desk. We were told to wait on the manager. When the manager arrived, she was very hostile and rude. We were told that we were responsible and would have to pay for the damages. She also stated that we would have to pay for the people's room below us because they had to be moved. We did not and still do not agree and told her that it was not our fault that the equipment malfunctioned and did not work properly. This was clearly the responsibility of the hotel, not ours. We did not realize that we had to get a plumber to check the tub before we could use it!! She stated that the water leaked out of the hot tub because we did not secure the drain enough. We do not believe that this was the problem, because the hot tub was full when we left, and even if it was so, there must have been a problem with the drain. It was a simple plug that you twist left to open and twist right to close. She also stated that we should not have left. This is ridiculous. There is a hot tub downstairs and nobody stands and watches it. This was our anniversary celebration and it was an AWFUL experience. We were moved to another room that my husband assumed would be as big as the one we paid for, but it was not. Sometime during the night or morning hours, a paper was slipped under our door and we had been charged $150.00 for damages. When my husband and myself asked to speak to the manager, we were told that she did not come in until 9:30. We went ahead and left, because we were 5 to 5 1/2 hours from home and my husband had to be at work the next morning. We will NEVER choose to stay at a Clarion and will be sure to tell our friends and family to not choose to stay at one. This was not right that we were charged and treated rudely for equipment that did not work properly!!!! I cried and felt horrible the entire stay!! My family was miserable! The room that we were originally supposed to stay in had a king size bed, fireplace, and a pull out queen sofa. The room we were sent to had 2 queen size beds and was so small I felt claustrophobic. I hope nobody else has to go through this experience!!!
ReplyDeleteThere must be something wrong with the corporate management of this hotel chain. My son and I recently stayed at the Clarion Hotel Toms River NJ..Our quoted price $89.00 per nite, but they said that was not so. This is the only small pet hotel in the area. The hotel is very run down and was converted from a Quality Inn. Unfortunately we had to stay for 2 nites since I have a small indoor pet. When we checked out the charge for the pet was $39.95 and then they charged $143.10 per nite which is outrages especially since we found out that they turned the hotel into a FEMA hotel at $77.00 per nite, and the hotel was fully occupied with people on FEMA relief. It seems they raised the rate for other than FEMA after storm Sandy. THIS IS CALLED RAPING THE PUBLIC. I will never stay at another Clarion Hotel, I will sleep in my car first. THIS IS A DUMP!!!. PS Had to pay $10.00 per room for breakfast which was pretty bad a well.
DeleteI am sorry to hear this story. I thought we were the only ones! This weekend, we experienced degrading treatment and rude/unprofessional demeanor as the Clarion Hotel staff in Scottsdale, AZ did not give a hoot about their customers. Via Groupon, we purchased a weekend stay for 5 people (two adults, one elderly lady needing accessibility, and two teen kids). I then booked directly with Clarion Hotel. Never were we told that having more than 5 people in a room was not allowed. We purchased the tickets almost two months prior, called in one week before the trip to confirm and always we received an ok, again stating that we had 5 people. Clarion Hotel personnel stated all was good and that we could check in at 3 pm. So when we got our room on the first floor, there were only two double beds. I called to ask for a roll away bed which had been on their website as an option. In a very cold demeanor, the reception area stated we should not have 5 people as the rooms were for 4 only! What???? I just came from California and was tired and now I may not have a room for my family? What? They saw my reservations and compared it with their computer and they saw the 5 people that had reserved, but it didn't matter. They said "Groupon" made the mistake and to take my problem to them, not to this hotel! They were rude and non caring! Then to top things off, Clarion Staff said since they did see a reservation for 5, that they would "allow" the 5th person to stay in the hotel, but with no roll away beds because it was a fire hazard (and they are just telling me this now?? Hello......) They sent us to use the floor!! That that was what was available to us! What! You're kidding me, right? THE CLARION HOTEL SENDING THEIR CLIENTS TO THE FLOOR????? Did they just say that??? OMG! They were not kidding. It was hurtful, degrading, humiliating and border line discriminatory! Why were they doing this? I don't understand. It did not feel right. I was in shock! I stated to them to be careful because didn't they realize that what they were doing could lead into a lawsuit. Their reaction....again, just a shoulder shrug and I don't care attitude. I had to get out. I tried to leave the hotel 15 minutes after getting there, but I could not find affordable accommodations, especially hard with an elderly lady who had special needs. So we were forced to accept the Clarion's Hotel rules and my son slept on the floor for three days. We used the entire bed coverings from one bed and two of the pillows to cushion the hard floor. We used thin sheets to cover up (at times getting a bit to cold during the night due to the a/c going on and off)but to turn it off would have been too hot. The Clarion Hotel never offered us extra blankets nor sheets nor pillows even though they new someone would be sleeping on the floor! Shame on the Staff! The only nice people were the pool man and the cleaning staff. If the Clarion is discriminatory to clients like us, I wonder how discriminatory they are to their employee's? I find it hard to believe, and hope my children will learn from this ordeal, that small minded individuals still exist and hide behind hotels like the Clarion Hotel and mistreat their customers the way we were mistreated!!! It is utterly amazing that this occurs in the 21st Century. My Lord....shame on these people. And shame on the Clarion Corporation for hiring such awful people to run their hotels. As a result, my collegues, alumni, family, and other friends have vowed never to use Clarion Hotel chains. It is not a time to celebrate this, but a time to learn from it and educate people that people need to be treated with respect and equality! Throwing us to the floor is not the answer. I pray the Clarion Corporation will do the right thing and discipline these culprits. My kids didn't need to feel this animosity!
ReplyDeleteThank you both for the heads up, I will never use this hotel, I learn from others unfortunate happenings.I will spread the info.
ReplyDeleteFrom the sounds of the other commentaries….I wonder if all the Clarion Hotels need new management! I just left the Clarion Hotel Chicago Midway. I will mention the good things first. The bathroom was very clean, the room was clean, the amenities were replenished…mostly….I was there for six days and the two ceramic coffee cups of the first day – one was replaced by a Styrofoam cup the next day, and the other was gone by the third day. The glass drinking glasses were replaced with cheap plastic cups. What?? Can’t they wash the dishes?
ReplyDeleteBUT the WORST part was the Internet. They advertised free Internet. Which was false advertising. I wouldn’t have cared if I had to pay a daily rate for it…..anything just so I could HAVE Internet. I was gone during the day, and needed to do about 4 to 5 hours of work at night when I got back to the room. All my computer work revolving around remote accessing another computer. Yet, I couldn’t even read the newspaper on MY computer without waiting forever, much less getting to the other computer. Example: opened the NYTimes, clicked to read an article, waited 177 seconds before it came up, started reading, clicked on a link within the article and waited 69 seconds before that link came up (I was waiting so long, I started counting the wait time). If I tried to remote to the other computer, my computer froze up. I called the front desk, oh yes, ma’am we are having trouble with the Internet…..I will reset the router to see if that helps. HA! Nothing. Moved me to another room. Nothing. I went downstairs to use the computers they had in the lobby…nothing. I would get OK Internet for about one or two minutes and then the whole thing slowed down and nothing would work. And one of the front desk staff members admitted just that!
They had a sign on the front desk….please bear with us we are working on the Internet. HA! The comments I read on Priceline showed that these problems have existed for a long time. I think they are too cheap to really set things up properly, so they just apologize and hope you enjoy your stay anyway. You leave and never come back, but there is always a new group of people to come in, so what do they care?
It is my conclusion that they are falsely advertising free Internet and not providing that service and someone to take them to task for it. Or the corporate head office should get this resolved. Towards the end of my stay I spoke to the manager who told me they had had someone in the day before for “two hours”. Well, guess what? That must have been a lie, because the Internet service wasn’t any better than it had been before he came in, IF there was actually someone there, which I don’t believe.
Anyway, long story short….I lost four days worth of work, I could not access my emails for four days because they come in on my remote computer, I was in Internet hell.
Of course, I will never stay there again……I hope no one else does either. Especially if you need the computer regularly.
I wrote a comment last night and it is not published....why?
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at the Clarion in Valdosta,GA. The front desk clerk was rude, the refrigerator rusty, and there was a leak when we used the shower and tub. I called ahead to make specific arrangements for my disabled mother. Unfortunately, no one had any idea that we called and requesed mobility accessible rooms. Never again.
ReplyDeleteWow, so many complaints - here's another one, and very shocking to me...
ReplyDeleteI took my 17 year old and her older sister (19) to my 17 year old's soccer tournament in Modesto, CA. When my daughter's team kept winning, they got to move on to play on Monday, but unfortunately I had to return home to go to work.
So, I left my daughter's at the hotel to play on Monday and check out, which they did without incident (different hotel). Now when my daughter's team won again and made it into the Championship game to be played on Tuesday (today), I had to book another night at a hotel for her older sister (19) and my soccer player (17) to stay over to play again.
They finished their game at 8pm, and went to dinner with the team, I booked a room on hotwire noting my older daughter's name as the primary guest to check in, which stated must be 18 years of age.
They got to the Clarion at 11:15pm and was turned away. I tried to talk to the manager, but was told by the girl on the phone that she was the only one there and was the night manager. She claimed that they had to be 21 to check in since there was alcohol in the rooms. I told her that it did not indicate that anywhere and actually noted 18. She would not remove the alcohol, or keep the bar key, would not offer to help us find another hotel! Two teenaged girls at 11:15PM in a strange town without a hotel room. It's shameful and had something happened to them I would HAVE SUED THEIR PANTS OFF.
I'm sure looking at all of these complaints I will get no where with the corporate office since apparently they do not train their staff appropriately, but I'm going to give it a try....wish me luck, something needs to be done with that company, leadership starts at the top and obvious to me that their leaders offer some very offensive behavior as their normal policy.

we checked in at three and saw the tv controller did not work so we called to have someone come up and reprogram it. we left for the evening and when we returned i was looking around the room and saw the there was blood smeared on the floor, and on the walls and later blood on the pillow, my son pulled the covers up that he was laying in the bed and found blood on the bed it looked like it wasn't even washed it looked like fresh blood!! i called down to the lobby and there was no manager around so i voiced my complaint and the guy switched rooms for me. we switched rooms at 10:30 went to our new room and went to sleep. when we got up we went down to our free breakfast to find that the hot food was a charge of $3.50 and the cold food was free. we were very disappointed since we just stayed at the comfort inn and they had hot and cold food cheaper the bed was way more comfortable i have a very bad back and it hurt at your hotel which it did not at the comfort inn and it was cheaper!! my family was very disappointed at our stay emily32935@yahoo.com
Hi Emily,I stayed at the same hotel 2nights ago and the a.c had an awful smell of smoke. Housekeeping told front desk that we were smoking in the room and we don't even smoke. We got our bill under the door and they had charged us 250.00 for a damage fee. Sorry to here about the blood that must of been horrific plus it's discussing. I sent emails and voice messages and no one returned our messages til today saying that they had witnesses and the fee will stand. I called my bank and they immediately credited my account back. I checked my account today and they charged my debit card for an additional day when I already paid and left this is the worst hotel in Orlando Florida. We live in Melbourne Fl and I go to Orlando a lot and I will never stay at this hotel ever again.I will be contacting Choice Hotel Corporate office and filing a complaint against them. General Manager Mr V.Patel is blind,if he came to work more often, he would see that his employees are lying by making bogus accusations and cheating people out of their money.
DeleteWe stayed at this same hotel and was charged for smoking in the room and we don't smoke. The a/c made a awful smell when we turned it on and left to come back to a smoke smelled room. They charged 250.00 damage fee and after we checked out they charged my card again for another day WT??? I called to get the charge taken off and writes me a letter telling me he's not removing the charge that it stands. I called my bank and they gave me back my money and General Manager V.Patel is a crook. They lie and make bogus accusations and cheat people out of their hard earned money.I will be contacting Choice Hotel Corporate office and filing a complaint. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and as far as blood hell no that is disgusting and nasty makes me wonder how long it's been since they changed the sheets GROSS!!!

ReplyDeleteOn July 18, 2012, I called to make reservations for my family under the name of a basketball tournament in which my son was competing. I spoke with Tiffany, who was not very knowledgeable or polished. I asked if any rooms were available for the time frame requested, and she informed me of the blocked rooms which had double beds, and quoted me the rate. I asked if there was a suite available. She informed me that there was 1 King Suite available, but they may need to move my family to another room if whoever reserved that block of rooms comes in and asks for it. My response to that was, "If no one has reserved that specific room, why can't it be reserved by me? That person may not even show up, or want that room?" After much attitude, and my letting her know that we did not have to stay there if it was going to be that much of a hassle to reserve a room, she said, "Well, let's just get you in the room! You won't have to move!" Before getting off the phone, I confirmed the quoted nightly rate of $89.00 + tax (which Tiffany had put me on hold previously to verify with someone else), bed size, amenities, etc. Upon my request, the confirmation was e-mailed to me. Upon our arrival a little after 4 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, I went to check in and get a parking pass. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and swiped my credit card after receiving my photo ID. He then printed out a receipt for me to sign. I initialed it, but looked at the price just before handing it back to him. To my dismay, they were attempting to increase the rate to $131.40/nt. Of course, none of this was mentioned prior to sliding the form to me across the counter. I asked him for clarification, just to be sure I was interpreting the rate correctly. He said, "Yes. It is $131.40 a night." When I challenged that, and referred to my printed out confirmation reflecting $89/nt., out came Tiffany, Front Office Manager. She asked if I was who I am, and looked at the gentleman. Then she asked him,"Did you explain it to her?" Keep in mind that no one contacted me via phone or e-mail to notify me of this prior to my arrival. I asked her why I had not been notified prior to my arrival. She asked, "Nobody contacted you?" When I told her no, and asked when the change was made, she stated, "This happened last night (night before our arrival)." Tiffany was very argumentative, and told me that because 10 people did not reserve a room, I would have to pay the $131.40 per night, "which is our discounted rate for that room". She also claimed that she told me about the 10 people min. reservation required. I refused to pay that, told her it was not my job to keep up with who else reserved rooms, and they should honor the rate originally quoted, especially since it was right there in black and white. I then had to ask for the contact information to the Corporate Office. After staying in the back quite some time, Tiffany returned, reached accross the counter, grabbed one of her business cards, and wrote a contact person's name and e-mail address on the back. Then proceeded to say, "I'm sorry that you chose not to stay with us." To which I responded, "I am sorry that you all have such terrible customer service." Upon our departure, we had to get to the gym so my son could prepare for the first game of the tournament. I had to sit in the car and call several different hotels in an effort to find a place for my family to stay. I spent at least an hour calling hotels, and going on Priceline.com, etc. It does not take a genius to figure out that it would be in the best monetary interest to accept $199.36 (including tax) than to receive no payment for a room that the surprise increase of $70+ dollars cost Clarion. This was a very terrible experience, and I will NEVER attempt to patronize Clarion again.
Hi I live in Indianapolis,Indiana I would like to know how can u have this girl nikki that does drugs and treat the employers like crap
ReplyDeleteAnd call them racist names starts fights every day with the girls there nothing being done about her. She smokes weed at your company I just don't understand .supervisor name doris .the address is water front parkway West drive.I hope something get done about it
I live in Pennsylvania, and my family had the worst experience with the Clarion Hotel in Memphis TN 6101 Shelby Oaks Drive. After a 13hr drive for a family celebration we arrived at the hotel, only to get a room where the tolet was stopped, and there was no hot water. The second room the bathroom sink was falling off which we reported to maintanence and was never fixed, and the air condition was not working properly. I had to ask housekeeping to clean our room, and the only thing she did was change our bedding, she left trash, dirty towels, and did not vaccum. We called housekeeping again, and the girl came up and asked my husband what else did we need cleaned? My husband almost lost it, the housekeeping manager came up and saw the what was not done, and asked us about the air, and moved us to our third room. The third room the tv was working for a moment and then stopped, the water was luke warm which was warmer than the other two rooms, I had to take the iron/ironing board from another room, and the blow dryer fell off the wall. During our stay I witness a fight with the staff and another family where the police was called. When we checked out and paid for whatever littled discount we did get, the girl Eva/Ava Hawkins was very rude to my husband and charged my credit card twice this was on Sunday, I checked my account on Monday and saw the charges. I called back to the hotel and spoke with Ruby who said that Eva/Ava did screw up our account and only she can change it, so I asked to speak with the head manager Harmony who was not there, but was told to call back on 7/31/12 and speak to Eva/Ava. My suggestion is this is not a Choice hotel and the Memphis Health Department should be called, as well as the staff being fired. It should be called the Clarion Choice Hotel from hell, and should be condemed. Hopefully coorporate will read this and find a way to refund me back my money. And oh, for the Clarion Hotel Staff, you ALL SUCK.....
ReplyDeletei was staying at the clarion in toms river nj...what i seen at breakfast was a breakfast staff member being cursed at..pointed at..it was horrible he threatened her sayin..i will find out your last name..we will meet up again if anything happens to this women, it will be the clarions fault...she stated to one of the guests come in and breakfast will be over in 10 minutes please fill your plates and cups...well he mother F her, scream at her. and noone came to help this women. he stated the front desk told him he can eat and they will not take the food away..i spoke to beverly and dan in corporate today...NOTHING..i will never stay there again.. 7/30/12..i ran into her in the hall...she said thank you for your support.....CLARION is not the way to go...i rather go to a mom and pop hotel
DeleteWe have used Clarion for the past 5 years or so in Syracuse New York. We have always blocked 20 to 25 rooms for the first week of October for the Super Dirt Week. When we left last year, we made the same reservation we always do and then we contacted the hotel yesterday and was told that we did not have a reservation! We needed 25 rooms and was told that they are booked solid and only had 6 rooms. I was shocked this was a Holiday in before and then turned into a Clarion and we have had this standing reservation with them for about 10 years. I sent an email back to the sales manageer and expressed my shock and how could you not have our reservation. I then received a call from her and she left a message on my phone which stated that she called my husband as well(did not ever call him), stated that they had a new person handling that and that there was a wedding booked for the hotel on the weekend we were to be there. She was sorry for the confusion and stated that the wedding still had rooms they have not used we might be able to get them. I am still in shock that it seemed that we got bumped for a wedding, since I know I had made the reservation like I always do and now I had to scramble to find rooms someplace else. I have to say over the past few years using the Clarion in Syracuse, the service has gotten worse and they have a high turn over. We have tried to look past all that up till this year.
ReplyDeleteI have another one to add to the list - yesterday my husband and I drove 5 hours from East Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh for a football game. We had a reservation at the Clarion, and our room was already paid in full. We get there and were denied check in b/c we didn't have an "acceptable" credit card to hold for incidentals (we were using a prepaid Visa card). The woman at the desk was very rude with us and not very willing to help us figure out our situation. After going back and forth with her for several minutes I finally told my husband let's go find another hotel (to which the woman replied "I highly doubt any hotel around here will accept your card") Funny b/c the very first hotel we went to (The Double Tree Hilton - which I HIGHLY recommend)accepted our card no questions ask. Not only that but they told us Clarion was crazy for not accepting our card, and they discounted us for our troubles.
ReplyDeleteToday we called hotels.com to get our money refunded for the room we never got to use, and they said they had to call the hotel to confirm the situation. The woman who answered (who was the same woman we dealt with) had absolutely no recollection of having dealt with us, and written us in as a "no call, no show." My husband hung up with Hotels.com and immediately called the Clarion. She miraculously seemed to remember us once my husband mentioned that he had spoken to her corporate. After some more run around we finally did get discounted our money. The aggravation of the situation though has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. That coupled with the other reviews I've read have made up my mind an I will NEVER stay at a Clarion again. I'd rather sleep in my car.
We stayed in a Clarion Inn in Brunswick, GA back in June 2012. My credit card was charged again yesterday by the same place for the same amount. I called there and was told they were aware of this and she will call me back. Why was is my credit card still on file? Why.. If you know about this, am I calling you. They should be calling me. Lesson learned.
ReplyDeleteI have a great Clarion story....my daughter had a soccer tournament in Buffalo, with her school soccer team, which were staying at Clarion. My husband and I decided to stay there as well and go to the soccer games. It was supposed to be great together time for my husband and myself but turned into a nightmare. The soccer team was all split up in different levels of the hotel...at 1:30am our daughter called our cell phone saying that someone was trying to break into their room (her and two other teammates). The person had a keycard and was trying to flip the lock with a knife. He told them he was with the front desk, but had no identification and was trying to force his way into the room. My husband ran up there and saw the guy going downstairs. He went to the front desk to demand answers and they were apologetic, they had the wrong room, computer was down....excuse, excuse. No apologies to the girls they terrified (14 & 15 year olds), whom I had to spend the rest of the night with because they were so scared that they were trembling. I will NEVER EVER stay at Clarion again. Staff was poorly trained - and the whole thing was pathetic.
DeleteWow, and I thought the complaints would be few!
ReplyDeleteGuess I was wrong..I know I will not be staying at another clarion hotel in the future, my distaste for them came from the one in Orlando (Kissimee), it advertises a waterpark with the hotel on the web site, but you have to pay separate for it, and don't plan on any parks, because it closes at 6 pm...it is completely separate from the hotel.
False advertising!
I will be writing a letter to corporate, I know I more than likely won't hear anything back, but at least I get it off my chest..because I am writing the to CEO..Steve Joyce, he was even on Undercover Boss, so he may not know what is going on at the hotels..so write to him personally, start bombarding his mailbox!

Good idea. I hope that he does see your letter. Sounds like he has a bunch of idiots running his chain. I plan to write him about my experience as well
DeleteMy wife and I stayed overnight on Aug. 10th 2012; liked the facilities; when we checked out I discovered that I had left my electric razor in the room; I called the hotel and the manager said he had it on his desk; I requested that he mail it to me at my home and he said he would. I allowed him to charge the postage to my credit card; It is now September 23rd and it has never arrived; I have left 3 messages on his voice mail which he never returned my calls, spoken with a girl on the front desk who said "it is still here and I will take it to the manager". That was over two weeks ago: The razor is worth about $50.00 and will not break me. I consider this issue THEFT and if it was worth my trouble to drive back to Columbus Ohio I would file a theft report.
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious the manager is a thief and a liar. Too bad for the employees and the hotel chain.... I will never stay at any Clarion Hotel again and will advise all people I know of this event.
Wow I can't believe all the bad service that is happening at the Clarion Hotel chain. Our Class Reunion committee booked the ballroom at the Clarion in Hagerstown Maryland for this past weekend over a year ago. We had an uneasy feeling about it the whole year. About two weeks prior to the reunion Dinner Dance the woman in charge told us we could not have the room that we wanted so they wanted us to come look at the other possibilities. One was the Atrium ( by the pool) and the other was a kind of long room that the band could not have gotten into comfortably. We decided that we would do the atrium after making sure that the noise would not bother other people( because there are hotel rooms around the outside of the pool area) So not having too much choice we took the Arium ( there was a clause in the contract stating they can move you to where ever they deem appropriate. Any Way this past weekend was our 30 reunion dinner dance Saturday night October 6. It was a nice space but about 11:00 the manager of this Clarion starts closing the bar and ranting and raving about the we are too noisy !! WE were told that it would be fine to have a band and we paid til 12:00 for both the room and the band !! Absolutely ridiculous to have to change to a different room two weeks before our event in the first place and then they come and want to shut your party down after they told you that having a band was no problem. Never again will I deal with a Clarion hotel ! And after seeing all these letters I think there are plenty of people that will not be staying at one either !!
ReplyDeleteI am not one to complain but we had the worst experience at the Clarion in Gatlinburg Tennessee. They charged $199 a night for a room which was ridculous! We paid it because it was last minute and we paid extra for a balcony that was on the ground floor! That was no balcony and not to mention it was facing a parking lot! The air didn't work and we didn't realize it till later in the night. I got absolutly NO sleep! Went down to complain about it and got no ''I'm sorry" Nothing! They did fix it so we got sleep the next night. They charged another $30 for some sort of resort fee! We didn't eat the breakfast on either morning! We paid around $480 for two nights! CRAZY I could have stayed at Opry Land Hotel in Nashville for that! This was not even a nice place!!! NEVER, NEVER again!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHello my name is Monika Hardee I visited your Merritt Island location here in Florida, and was very disappointed in the misrepresentation of the property. This is by far the WORST hotel I've ever visited.
ReplyDelete1. There was BLOOD stains on the bed
2. The blankets and sheets where stained as if it was some type of fluids present
3. The bathroom was moldy the tub had SEVERAL rings of dirt in it,the drain plug was sitting in the soap dish
4.There was different spots in the ceiling that was moldy or where there had been water damage
5.The walls where filthy
6. The lock on the door was hanging off
7.The breezeways where disgusting
There is ABSOLUTELY nothing even halfway decent I can say about your property. It surely is no worth no where near $90 plus tax per night it seems like some kinda crack hotel or prostitution hole. My trip was ruined I miss the casino cruise I came there to visit because I had to find another hotel there was absolutely no WAY I'd allow my kids or myself to sleep there. And I DEFINITELY WOULD never recommend this CHAIN to anyone to even my worst enemy.
I have attached some photos of your property and hopefully it gets the attention it needs!!!!!!!
Sounds like clarion needs some serious work. I stayed at clarion in greely CO. They are the sponsor hotel for the yearly held Old Chicago wrestling tournament at University of nothern colorado. First the rooms were supposed to be $79 and when we tried to book they told us there were no rooms at that price. I think if you sponsor something as large as a wrestling tournament all your regular rooms should be that price. Second we stayed in a room and it smelled like old smoke and mold the elevator didnt work and then my son forgot his wallet there so we get home and call them they say they have it and we ask them to mail it to us because we live 2hr away the manager tells us it will cost $25 dollars to mail it to us so after reluctance we pay it a week later no wallet so when I call back they tell us that someone picked it up for him but cant give us a name they just say his sister so as far as im concerned the clerks or manager or someone stole my sons wallet and to top it off when I am trying to figure out the whole deal the clerk hangs up on me. I will never stay in a clarion again
ReplyDeleteMy experience with the Clarion In Sacramento California -- SAME AS THE ALL THE ABOVE - THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING IN BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, in my entire life. Me and a few friends had booked a hotel in overlandpark KS at the clarion hotel for an anime convention. My friend had reward points so we got the hotel for free and he booked the hotel for four people. We got to the hotel and they had told us only one person was booked and said they were sorry and gave us an extra key for all of us. The next morning we got up to ask the guy at the service desk where breakfast was because the sign said free breakfast weekend. He pointed us to the direction of breakfast not saying a word. We were the first people there, when we got finished we left the plates on the table because there was NO WHERE to put the dirty dishes. The final day, we got up to eat breakfast again, the guy at the front desk told us that we had to pay for breakfast and then proceeded to claim that we broke plates and smashed food into the floor and threw food all over the walls, and then charged us for breakfast through my friends dads credit card. When we decided to leave and started driving and noticed my car drove funny even though we had drove it all day yesterday, assuming that someone had slashed my tire so my boyfriend asked if he could possibly look over the surveillance camera to see if someone had, the guy at the front desk and said in a loud obnoxious tone "You are no longer a guest at this hotel and i'm not going to show you the tapes" my boyfriend asked to see a manager, keeping calm and the front desk guy said "I'm the fucking owner, now get the hell out" None of us appreciated being talked to like that and we will no longer EVER be staying at any Clarion hotels.
ReplyDeleteStayed at the Clarion in Gatlingburg TN Was supposed to be booked 2 nights at a group rate for a wedding. On arrival, was informed first night would cost $157.00 total. Bed had wrinkled sheets, black and white grit, black streaks, trash and 3 pieces of cellophane paper plus a quarter size gob of molded chewing gum on the bedspread. Took photos, showed desk clerk. They did change the bedding the NEXT day. Manager offered to give group rate for that night in compensation. The first night should have been FREE. Was told in April when reserving that exercise room was available. IT was closed the whole time I was there, but we were charged $15 a day extra for amenities which was the pool and exercise room. WHAT!! Manager raised voice when discussing issue and I got quieter and quieter because I am unaccustomed to being talked at in that manner. Disappointed in my stay. Belong to the Choice points club too. Clarion was not a good experience in TN.
