  1. Me and my family went to Cheddar's in Jonesboro,Ar. We arrived at 4:30 pm, it took 1.5 to be seated. As we were waiting we notice numerous of table empty. I ask staff why wasn't they using empty table, her response was they didnt have enough staff ( thats a huge problem )
After getting seated it took forever to recieve food and to get refills of drinks. To make a long story short we finally was able to get food and left at 7:45 pm. Staff was not professional, very under staffed and was very slow. If these problems do not get solved this business will not last in Jonesboro,Ar. After my experience my family will never go back to Cheddar's.
Note: after talking with co-workers and friends I have found out this was not just a bad night for me but other's have had smae result.

    4. We chose to have our 8th grade after formal dinner at Cheddars. We had over 25 13 to 14 year old students seated 3 tables over from parents. A customer chose to walk up to the children point her finger in their faces and yell at them. She claimed they were being too loud and that she was sick of it. A parent approached her and ask that she not address the children but to address with an adult. She yelled he was threatening her and ran to the Manager claiming she was being threatened and then dialed 911. We (parents) were explaining to Tulsa Police Department what actually took place. The Manager, Megan Webber requested that we along with the children be removed from Cheddars as she sat beside the complaining customer. We were told by TPD to leave the premises. Treated as criminals while the children watched and were advised to exit as well. I will never eat at Cheddars again. 8th Grade Formal night for innocent children ruined!

    6. My wife and I were at the Cheddars in Boardman, Ohio. The meal that we had was good, paid our bill and left. The next day we were balancing the check book, only to find that cheddars billed us two seperate bills on our account. We had the receipt to show that we paid our bill, so why were we being billed for a meal we didnt even eat???? The second meal was for the same day, and rung through thier register at the same time. However, our reciept just had our meal on it. So whos meal were we paying for??? When we called Cheddars and inquired about this double double meal, we were given the run around, we spoke with the manager and voiced our concern, the manager told us that he would be calling cooperate office. No calls back, and no refund to our account was made. So now we are taking matters into our own hands, we contacted the bank, and of course the Cheddars Cooperate office number comes back as being out of service. So next is legal procedures..... and lastly, dont eat at Cheddars, they rob you!!!!!

    7. I received a $100 gift card from a friend for helping them out a while ago, so my family and I went to the Allen Texas location. We ordered and I was looking forward to eating the food. The food arrived and it was good I ordered the steak and ribs, red beans and rice, and broccoli cheese and I started eating taking a few bites and my daughter was eating the ribs and boy it was good! but when I was about to take my third bite of the broccoli cheese I saw something in it!!! It was trash that was left in the bowl before the put the food in the bowl! I am sick to my stomach. I asked for the manager and she came to the table and half way said sorry. She acted like it was a bother for her to deal with it. She took of the meal that I had after asking me if I wanted another side!! I said NO! I told her I was feeling sick and she kinda laughed.
I will never go back to another cheddars again!!!!!! They ruined my meal!!

    8. There is a Cheddars in Alcoa, Tennessee where one of the managers named Bo sleeps with all as many female servers as are willing. He has no concern whether the girl is married or not. His current "boink" is a short blonde named Tori. This is the 3rd relationship this guy has destroyed. There's no corporate e-mail address to report these actions. What does a person do? Can't report to the restaurant manager. The manager is the problem. Poor little girls don't know what's coming. They don't seem bright enough to figure things out.

    9. Since I have scanned most of the comments here then I am not surprised of the situation that occurred with us at the Cheddar's in Huntsville, AL. I informed them not to put something on my order and they did it twice....first time the waitress did not write it down as she confessed to us that she did not. and secondly, the manager made it sound like it was our fault or that maybe he should have taken the order. We are done with place and will not go there again and I would not recommend it to anyone. They need to fix their problems or maybe this place is just a tax break. but it won't be for long if this continue.

    10. April 2012 - Nov 2013 the General Manager of the Greenville NC Cheddars Jorge Medina had an affair with my wife. It took him 3 months to seduce my wife of 11 years. It broke my marriage up. While he was having an affair with my wife, Lashanna Whitley, he was also having an affair with at least one other employee. He is a predator as it seems many of the managers are. When General Managers or managers get caught they are simply moved to another Cheddars. If you have a wife or daughter or niece my recommendation is to not let them work at Cheddars. Cheddars is moving the General Manager to Brandywine as the new General Manager. There he will prey or more young girls. Cheddars must condone this practice because they don't fire people in charge. It seems that their immediate supervisors do the exact same thing. My wife could have said no, but Jorge was her boss and he was relentless in his pursuit. I am divorcing my wife. We have two children. My family is destroyed and Jorge Medina still has his job. Great company Cheddars is...

    11. After reading these comments I suddenly see why the experience my wife and her friend experienced at the Pigeon Forge TN location was so horrid. Cheddars is a low class, rude, arrogant good for nothing establishment. Rude bar tender, incompetent wait staff, good for nothing management......everything that could be wrong in a restaurant is on full display here and quite clearly at every other Cheddars throughout the US. Social media is going to have a field day with this stuff!! Don't plan on getting one red cent from me, my family, my friends and anyone else I can tell about this place. HORRIBLE is far too kind a word. Never EVER again.

    12. I resound all of the above comments. A new location opened recently here in Slidell, LA, a much awaited event for us. The location was immediately swamped with customers and is still that way today. They are doing a HUGE business but not without issues. As others have recounted we too have experienced the same lack of service and horible wait times. Several weeks ago I called ahead to check availability for a party of 12 at aprox 4:00 on a Saturday evening only to be told that there was no way they could accommodate us that evening at all... REALLY?!? Again last night we decided to give it a second try with a party of 11 and waited 3.5 hours for a table. The wait staff was very thin and it took over an hour just to get drinks. At two hours or orders were taken and at 3 hours the food came out COLD... ALL OF IT! It was all redone with the guarantee that it would be hot but again came out cold, 30 minutes later. Our table was comped by a very apologetic manager but that really doesn't fix the underlying problem.

  2. I want to be emailed or contacted ASAP or I will call corporate office. I called in a to go order at the Jonesboro AR location as well and waited 2 HOURS on a to go order. Not to mention I had called this in on valentines day way ahead of rush! I called at 5. I got home with my food at 7:20. This alone is ridiculous!!! Then I get home and my ribs are covered in hairs. I am furious!!!!!!!!! I called the manager and he is absolutely of NO help. If I do not receive a response I will be calling corporate tomorrow. I would like this to be addressed immediately! My email is @smail.astate.edu And if I do not get a response and this manager does not get talked to I will be going to the highest of high to get this problem addressed. Apparently I am not the only person who has had AWFUL service at this location!

    1. My husband and I had dinner at the Wellington location and word cannot express my disappointment in the food, serve and manager at this location. We were seated in the bar area and the smell was stifling. It smelled like someone had gotten sick and threw up everywhere. We asked for another table and there were none available. Well with that being said we went on and ordered. Our food was not hot just luke warm. While we were eating someone in the infinite wisdom decided to mop the bar area with chlorine bleach and almost burned our eyes out and did wonders to our food and taste buds. We didn’t see our waitress until it was it was BILL time. I told her the food was terrible and she said SORRY. I paid my 24.83 plus a 3.00 dollar tip and left. However, as I walked out I asked to speak with the manager. Well after 5 minutes of waiting he came over and I told him our circumstances and he said he was unable to refund our money for which I never asked for. I told him how horrible I thought it was to mop the floor at 5:15 during dinner time and just said well there was an odor in there all day and they thought that might get rid of the odor. At that time I said well I can see this is going nowhere and he THEN said “sorry”. I was so looking forward to trying your restaurant but I have to say in all honesty I will never go back!

    2. The manager at the Wellington Location has a terrible attitude. After a long wait to get seated we headed to our car which was not there. We thought it was stolen but found out it was towed. We did not have any signs for no parking or tow away zone where we and others parked. After I paid the $153.00 fine to the towing company I finally got my car. I went to the manager there and he said too bad and did not care. 5 other customers had there cars towed also. He was so rude and would not give me any phone numbers to contact corporate. The 2 phone numbers that Texas gave me to call for district manager were disconnected. This place is horrible. I will never go back there again. This is no way to handle a complaint from a new customer ..

  4. Went to Cheddars in Jonesboro AR for the first and last time today. First we were seated right away. The wairer assigned to us spoke horrible English. We had to repeat our order to him multiple times. 45 mins later our order comes out wrong. We told the waiter ... Again he seemed to have a hard time understanding. We asked to speak to the mgr. 15 mins later the mgr comes apologizes and states they are working on our correct order. I informed the mgr that in the hour plus time we had been there we had witnessed the same waiter mess up other orders. In the end we did get our correct food. Still was not hot. Mgr didnt charge us for our visit. Jonesboro is a great area. If Cheddars does not get their act together they wont be open long!!

  5. I want to be contacted asap... I went to cheddar s in Memphis, tn with some friends for my bday on yesterday 3/4/2012 and as we entered with others there was unorganized greeters talking among their selves not acknowledging that we were there and when they did they started to seat us and just stopped to discuss if there was a server for the table being sat. After they had us go back to the front and wait, a manager named Mike Taylor comes up front looking and asked if we could step outside with him. We did not knowing the cause asking whats the problem, and he says he works with the Shelby County Sheriff Dept and holding his waist as if he had a gun asking us to leave before he get his security to escort us off because he assumed we smelled like marijuana. I didn't want any trouble and after that I had lost my appetite so we preceded to leave. I don't even smoke and it was my birthday i was really hurt all i could do was cry because that was such an embarrassment. Maybe it did smell like marijuana who knows but all i know is the lobby was full of people and it could have been anyone and that should not stop a person from being served. I came there to eat and enjoy my day but instead I was fasely accused of some I have no idea about.

I didn't like and was not comfortable at all.

  7. Most people never write about how great the service is. I just want to say that everytime we go into the mesquite tx location we usually sit in the bar because they are busy. We always get great service but tonight I saw one of the hardest working bartenders I have seen. Although it was obvious she was training someone too she stayed on top of things and was extremely friendly. With awesome food at a great price and good service, we will continue to go to the mesquite location.

  8. i was trying to get a job at chedders Independence location and they were very much rude to me when the general manger was giving me my training schedule she looked at me kinda funny and acting like she didnt even want me working there and one of the other mangers was very rude to one i went in for training and they couldnt hiring me because of my schedule with my other job and i said oh now i need to call my ride to come get me and he said that it wasnt his problem. well i went for a interview then said that they could work with my schedule at my other job and i said ok well one of my family members got a new job so they would have to work around that to well they told me they couldnt i just thank that if you want to hire someone they need to talk to them a little more and not be rude and give people dirty looks because they have another job. in my case they did just that. i dont like their food they are very slow up there and the hostess's need to greet every customer as they come in and leave and i didnt see that when people were leaving they kinda just didnt care about the customers at all. no i do not want you to reply back but i think you should have better mangers and that location.

    3. Cheddar's on Watson Blvd in Warner Robins, Georgia has the most deceitful manager. Not only is he a liar, he is rude, and arrogant. His attitude towards a paying customer leaves me to wonder if he's new in management or purposely trying to undermine the company. The rice in my veggie and rice casarole was raw! General Manager Dennis A. Beuning, is the biggest idiot I know. He disrespected me; in front of my mother! That man acted as if it were my fault the rice was raw and that I was lucky to be seated in HIS establishment because there are absolutely none around. I am a manager myself and understand that the customer is not always correct but that the customer is always correct... His/the disrespect was in his voice with volume and words, and in his gestures with the shoulder shugs, wrist flicking, horribly audible exaggerated sighs and much more. For a second I thought I was on the old show "Candid Camera", the entire experience was surreal[ly] offensive. I have never been so insulted in my life. At no time did I ask for a refund; but I did ask for Corporate's number - he practically threw his card at me. I will tell every employee, co-worker, and customer not to dine at Cheddar's.

It will be interesting to see what action they take when I call them on the real number. Cheddar's used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It is not anymore. Like you said, from the look of it, they have a lot of complaints.

  12. My nephew who is a responsible, sensible young man was treated so unfairly as he was humiliated by his "boss" over what was a minor misunderstanding about his work hours. This was done as he was waiting on customers. He was devastated and the customers were irate that the boss was talking to him this way. You want to know why you cannot keep good worker? It is because you hire arrogant managers who have no sense of how to treat others. To speak with anyone as if they were second class citizens and in front of customers, I want to know why this person was not fired immediately. Who wants to eat in this type of atmosphere.

  15. What a shame, you have young people and high school students working toward college, and this may be their first job, it will certainly taint their thoughts about future jobs. The store in Cypress will not allow their workers to stop just for a snack, no lunch or any type of break, and they work five plus hours. My nephew has worked double shifts, he received no lunch break or rest break, how can they effecient or pleasant when they are so tired and hungry. Perhaps the way to curtail these actions, it to not use your money at Cheddars.

  16. Cheddars is awful. I was recently hired by them.. I am a male with facial piercings, gauged ears 00, and tattoos that are covetable by a long sleeve shirt. When I applied I spoke to an FOH and asked what the policy was for servers regarding body mods. He said since the tattoos are coved by the long sleeve uniform, they would be fine. He said for my ears I just had to wear solid color closed plugs and that I would have to remove my lip ring while at work. As for the micro dermal under my eye he said he would have to ask the GM & to come back for a second interview tomoro. I came back & had a second interview with another FOH & then another with with the server manager. Both of them said the same things about body mods. Btw when it came up in each interview I explained that at my previous employer I would cover the dermal with a small bandage and makeup. All of them responded that the decision would be up to the GM, but that he should be okay with it. I was told to come in one more time at 945am after their meeting and speak to the GM myself. When I arrived the server manager told me that the GM wasn't there but that they approved me for hire. I came to orientation dressed casual in jeans & t shirt with all my jewlery in and showing. At orientation we were given uniform requirements & told to come in uniform from here on. Long sleeve white button down dress shirt, black slacks, black non slip shoes, & solid color neck tie. None of which I possessed prior to hire. So I go to the mall n get slacks $50, shirt $55, black non slips from academy $45, a tie, black belt & black calf high socks I got from walmart all for about $30. If your asking why I didn't get pants & shirt from walmart as well to save money, well I'm 6'5" tall and Walmart doesn't carry the appropriate sizes. Anyhow so after that I go to the first day of training no prob. Second day however I was told to remove my gauges by a kitchen manager. After I explained that I was told I could wear solid ones other managers got involved (not the FOHs I spoke with) & told me Cheddars policy is no gauges or facial piercings... I ended my employment with Cheddars on the spot. I did my part in asking about policies prior to hire. Had I been told it wasn't allowed I would not have continued with the hiring process & applied elsewhere.. Instead I was wrongly informed & ended up spending over $150 to meet uniform requirements for a job that I would end up having to leave, two days into training :/ Thanks a pant load Cheddars! Pricks

    3. You want to know what is worse? The GM at the Cheddars in Greenville NC Jorge Medina seduced my wife of 11 years Lashanna Whitley and took her in the attic while she was working. He had another server watch her tables and he took her into the attic and had sex with her. He was the boss and he seduced several of the young girls there in Greenville. Every time he gets caught doing something he always says he said she said and there is not proof. I met with him and he said he was just passing the time at work having sex with my wife. I wanted to beat the *&^$ out of him, but I went the way of the Home Office. They did nothing to him. They are sending him to another Cheddars to prey on the young girsl there. I believe it is the one in Brandywine. So you girls that work there be prepared. And if you want to contact me for proof, I put recorders in my vehicles. Apparently the GM could not afford a car so he got my wife to bring him back and forth to work. They had sex in our van as well. I got to listen to terrible stuff with the GM Jorge Medina and my wife Lashanna of 11 years. I was crushed. I now have no family. Jorge Medina is still the General Manager and will have a new set of girls to work on....it is a sad, sad company. Thomas Whitley 252-258-2602. If you have been accosted by Jorge Medina let me know. I called the manager that evening and she lied to me stating the Monkey wasn't allowed to dine inside. The lady had to sit on the patio with her pet. What about the people eating outside you dummy. I am calling the local health dept. ASAP for endangering the life of others.

    1. This is the worst place we have ever eaten! Staff is rude!! The server MIKE is an idiot and has no place in the "waiter" dept. He lost his temper on several times while we were there. We went to have a great time and he made our meal suck. Never got my salad and when I finally asked where it was..I was half way thru my meal and then he brought the wrong dressing. Acted nasty when I reminded him that he needed to exchange it out. Asked for the manager, and he must have been this guy's brother! I will NEVER EVER go to another Cheddars again and this one was in Charlotte NC, University location. Needs all new staff and cooks as far as we were concerned!

  23. I was in the cheddars in Norman, OK. While I was eating dinner, I had a couple of issues. But the manager there, heather, was a tremendous help. Courteous, polite, and very sweet. However, not long after I saw her being yelled at by another manager. I have been a restaurant manager for many years. I can tell she is a smart, capable woman. This other manager I would never hire. Not even as a busboy. He was rude, vulgar, and inappropriate. I asked my server his name and she wasn't sure if it was Thomas or John. I've been going there for awhile now. But I will not be returning if he continues to be employed.

  24. We went to cheddars in Longview Texas on Eastman road, I was wearing a hat I was asked to remove it I did but I did notice patrons that were seated had cowboy hats on. That seemed like discrimination to me. we ordered our food at that time and the waiter was extremely rude and it took the waiter 30 minutes to get our order. When he brought our order he did not bring our correct order he brought hamburger without our fries and the crescents we had ordered we asked to see the manager we waited 20 minutes and no one ever showed , we just paid our bill and left. That was the worst experience ever.

    2. I was at the Chedders in Murfreesboro that recently opened. We were eating out with my son and grandchildren and celebrating their Christmas. The waiter dropped the tray with 6 glasses of tea on 3 people that were soaked. I had received a purse for Christmas that cost over $300.00 that was soaked. When the waiter came back he had a few papertowels. We had to go to the bathroom and strip down some of our under clothes. I visit Chedders and had bragged to my son how great it was. No one seem to be concerned that we were covered with sweet tea. I may have second thoughts about visiting a Chedders again. We were not offered to comp our bill of 71.00. The manager did give me her card and said to have everything cleaned and she would turn in to insurance. We should have been put at another table, but we were in everyones way trying to clean up the mess. This is a large town, and customer service will go a long way.

    3. Sandy, I have you beat! The Cheddars in Greenville NC is run by Jorge Medina. He seduced my wife of 11 years and had sex with her in the attic in the middle of the day and the place full of patrons. He took several months to talk her into it. He had another server watch her tables and took her up a latter into the attic and there they had sex. I became suspicious and bugged my vehicles and got a birthday present I will never forget. They had an affair for 18 months. He was also having an affair with a bartender there at the same time. You would expect professionlism from a GM but his interest lies in all the young girls he is in charge of. So instead of poor service, or uncooked food Cheddars served me a divorce and awarded him a bigger Cheddars at Brandywine. Thomas Whitley 2522582602

  25. Our team went for lunch at Cheddars at 620 University Center Boulevard Charlotte, NC 28262 on June 8th, 2012. I ordered Salad. I was halfway thru eating and I saw FLY in there.yukkkk..UGGGGGHHHH...I about to throw up. IT WAS THE HALF OF FLY and I am sure someone else got the other half. Anyhow, we told our waiter and she sends the supervisor there. He said he will take 50% of my meal... Come one you are feeding me a FLY in the food and you are only giving me 50% off. so we asked to speak to the Manager. He was very RUDE. He did not want to give us 50% off. He was like 25% off. We're WTH? what kind of customer service is this? It was nice of me not to scream there and be loud. They could have lost their business. It could have been in the news and all around the place. then somehow Manager agrees to take off full meal price. when we walked out Manager had attitudes. He was very unpleasant and rude. I was not mad for the FLY. I got mad at thier customer service. Do not you want to take care of customer and BE nice so they can come back. Guess what:- I am employee of Well Fargo and we got the headquarters here so most of us go there to eat and I send out email to everyone. They are not going to eat there anymore. I am also going to let the Healh Department to notify.

    1. I, too, had a salad issue recently at the recently opened Cheddars in Evansville, IN. I ordered the chicken pecan salad. We (my escort and I) had to wait a bit for our order, but I was not disturbed by this as our Cheddars is always busy and our two previous visits had been pleasant. However upon receiving my salad and beginning to eat it I noticed a lettuce core in the very middle after I had taken only a few bites. I've worked in restaurants many times and thought it was a simple mistake, so I just took it out and set it to the side. Then I noticed something white underneath it. Thinking that maybe a piece of paper had found its way into my salad I moved more lettuce aside and saw arolled bit of plastic. Catching it with the time of my fork I proceded to pull out a large, plastic glove of the type you wear (if you are following clealiness rules) to serve food. A used one. I did not scream, yell or cause a fuss, even when it took me several minutes to get the attention of staff. When we finally got a waitress from another area to come to our table, she apologized and said she would send over a manager. A managert did come to our table and offer to comp my salad. I suggested I received another salad also, as I had not eaten even half of that one and that I receive the salad "to go" as we were at that point short on time. The manager seemed to agree. We waited several minutes for a fresh salad, which was expected because of the grilled chicken breast on top. At the point when my second salad was brought to the table and we were ready to leave my lunchdate informed me that the salad WAS NOT COMPED since I received a second one to go. We asked out regular waitress and she had not even been informed of any problem and we were refused the comp on the salad. Disappointed now we prepared to leave, only to discover a very wet spill on the floor just 2 steps from out table that was not being seen to. My date was a handicapped Navy vet, and I was afraid he would fall. We did manage to exit the restaurant with help from a very nice staff member who held the door, but the entire lunch experience was tainted for us. I'm not sure we will ever return to Cheddars in spite of the excellent (usually) food and generous portions. If you have any questions regarding this incident, you may reach me at cheryl.anne@rocketmail.com

  32. Chedders opened a new restaurant in Avon Indiana. It has been open for maybe 2 months now. The food is wonderful BUT the service is awful. Took and hour to sit down then it took another hour to order. Plenty of staff hanging around in a hall by the kitchen admiring each others manicures.(was seated at table next to the hall) Our waitress was a mess. She was upset by the kitchen not doing their job right. After an hour she left and someone else was assigned to our table. When we did get our food we got it one person at a time so we didn't eat together. First food out waited but their food was getting cold so we told them to go ahead and eat. We received our appetizers after everyone was done eating their main meal. The manager never showed his or her face, they hid in the kitchen. I thought it was the managements fault but by reading these other post about other Chedders around the U.S. maybe it is the corporate office that needs to be fired.

  33. Today, July 31, 2012 I took my three grandchildren to the Cheddars Cypress, TX #540 for lunch. This is only the second time I have been to this Chedders. We were greeted very nicely and seated within the 10 minutes estimated. It took another 10 minutes for a waitress to visit our table. We ordered two kids meals and two adult meals. The one child's meal was delivered with frenc fries instead of green beans as ordered. The soup for omitted for one of the two adult meals and the waitress and second waiter had to be asked 3 additional times before the soup was brought (after the main course). On adult was drinking raspberry iced tea, which was good, until the refill was deliverd however thye gave Mango not raspberry flavored tea. When the two children ordered Root Beer to drink nothing was said. When the adult drinks were broug we were informed they had no root beer so the kids had Dr. Pepper instead. It was difficult to know who our waitress / waiter was as two different servers kept showing up at the table and any request had to me made the second time. The person listed on the receipt as the server was Dusty P and the manager was Stephen Payne. The food was good but it appears the staff needs a lot more training.

One of my friends have the waitress some money to take care of the bride to be drinks. When the bills came out, she tried charging for those drinks on other peoples bills. She had charged one of my friends 3 meals on her debit card. Our appetizer came out with our food, so that was hardly even touched. When we talked to the manager about it, the waitress was very rude and kept trying to say snotty things. As we left we got no smile or thank you, she about ran one of my friends over to get to the table and clean it. It was just a horrible experience and i feel bad that my friends dinner had to be ruined by a snobby waitress that couldn't do her job correctly or even apologize.

  36. We just finished eating at the new location in Lafayette, LA.

First of all the hostess have a bad attitude. We asked about sitting in the bar and she said we could only sit at the tables not the booths. Many people were waiting to sit in the restaurant but 5 booths remained empty in the bar while we were eating. While we were eating people coming into the bar sat at the tables and ordered drinks while waiting for a table in the main restaurant. Are the booths in the bar reserved for certain people? Our 1st server put in our appetizer and entree order had the same time. Our 2nd server said he was taking over and order would be coming out. We received our appetizer and 2 min. later we received our entree. I had to wait about 10 min. later before I received my drink (raspberry tea). Then a 3rd waiter said he was taking over. The only time we saw him was for our bill. We asked him if we could speak to a manager and he said he would get the manager. We never did see the manager. Although the food was good, the experience was horrible.

This was the first and the last time I ever eat at a Cheddar's Restaurant!

  37. Most horrible experience I have ever encountered. I visited the Cheddars in Overland Park,KS around 9 p.m. on Sunday August 19 2012. My server Jaime kept forgetting things over ten times, hair in food, im allergic to tomatoes and the server still brought food out with tomatoes, food without sauce on keywest chicken, ordered grilled fish and was brought catfish. Ordered Childs meal I wanted chicken tenders and greenbeans, was given french fries instead of green beans, server kept forgetting drinks. Told manager about horrible service, some so called manager walks out with a dirty apron and chefs hat on whom claims their the manager oncall for that night. Really i'm expecting a well dressed individual to come out not a dirty looking cook. My bill still wasnt adjusted. I was still charged for my whole entire meal. Once I made it home checked my bank account the following day. I was charged for my meal $33.45 and also for $37.94. Hello, where did this extra charge come from. The service was flat out horrible. I would never reffer anyone go to this resteraunt. Issue still hasnt been resolved as to getting my money back. Will not visit that particular Cheddars again due to poor service and nothing was fixed to make the dinning experience better. The server should resign from her position and Cheddars should find more professional people to operate a resteraunt.

  38. On August 19th, a couple of my friendgirls and myself went to the Cheddars on Winchester Road, Memphis, TN. My 1st visit to Cheddars was in Beaumont, TX and the service and food was wonderful. The entire atmosphere here at Cheddars was ABSOLUTELY horrible. THe only thing that was not too bad was the wait time. The food and service were pitiful. I ordered grilled fish and was told 30 minutes later that they were out of fish. I asked for the manager, Dion, and he asked me what kind of fish I ordered. I told him from the beginning what kind and what the problem was. I asked for a percentage to be taken off of my check and he flat out refused to accomodate me. He said they don't accomodate for situations where the restaurant is out of something. One of my friends had ordered the New Orleans pasta and she never rec'd her food. It finally came 35 minutes after everyone was done eating their meal. My other friend ordered a salad was to get a croissant that came with it. She did not get here croissant and once again we asked for the manager. By this time, he was very perturbed with us. He said we would have to wait on the croissants and that they were only about .30 since my friend no longer wanted here salad without the croissant. I will definitely be talking with the corporate office as I see Cheddars has had alot of complaints.

  39. Have to admit this has been one of the worst experiances that I have had in over 20 yrs. Poor service over and hour and a half and walked out the door. Lincoln Ne. Cheddars has to be the worst place to eat in Lincoln and the only explanation was the cooking staff was overwhelmed and that the general manager was fired a few weeks befor. Seems to me that you at corporate would like to have better reputation than the one that is now going around Lincoln.
Lousy service, dirty restrooms, and staff that just dosen't give a hoot what customers think. I know if anyone asks me about Cheddars I'll tell them to go to any other place in town. They just don't really want to have your business.

  40. To whom it may concern:

I am writing to inform you guys of the terrible service experience at your 21001 Gulf Freeway location in Webster, Texas my friends and received. Absolutely appalling! After being seated at a table that had not been bussed properly, my friends and I waited for about five minutes for our server (who’s name was never given), to be greeted with unfriendly, “What can I get y’all?” We then ordered drinks and appetizers that were not brought to us until over 25 minutes later! When my “frozen” drink came out clearly melted I inquired about how it should look and was told that they simply come that way. Having eaten at Cheddar’s before I knew this was simply not the case, but offered no further rebut. 15 – 20 minutes after giving the server our order, he then returned to our table to ask specifics about it which clearly indicated he had not submitted the order at all. Finally, after receiving our food over and hour later, five minutes into the meal, and individual appearing to be the manager on duty, in a brisk walk by (never really stopping), asked if everything at our table was okay? I replied and repeated, “Service is horrible!” He then returned to our table with chuckle and in very cocky manger leaned upon the fixtures beside him and said, “What you want; what else y’all need?” I simply replied, “Nothing.” We were completely outdone. We decided to NEVER step foot in that place again. Being in the wait-staff, we understand that its normal to get busy sometimes, but blatant rudeness with no apology is certainly uncalled for. Just thought you guys might like to know the type of people that are representing you company!

  41. We ate at the Cheddar's Lafayette Cafe Saturday.

We arrived at 7:30 pm and there was a 45min wait but that is not the bad part. When we finally got seated, we had to wait 20 min to put in a drink order after waiting another 20 min the waitress says you know why you didn't get you order it's because we ran out so we had to choose somthing else and had to wait again to recieve them we finally got our food at 10:30 pm it was cold, the steak we ordered well done was brought out rare, and oh yeah the appetizers we ordered with the drinks never came and when asked to speak to a manager after waiting the manager never came and it took a long time to get to go plates now the steak was taken off of the ticket but no one aplogized yes they asked if i wanted something else but would i have to wait another hour to get it people were waiting long for everything this is the worst experience i ever had and very unorganized

Not to mention his manager is involved in illegal drugs and supports the use of them among other workers in the restaurant. It's a real shame that this type of person is allowed to keep their job. I'm planning to encourage my boyfriend to file an official complaint with the company, as if that will do any good. Word of mouth in this small community will do enough, though.

This location just let go half there staff plus lines out the door not knowing all the empty tables and the reason why. The manager came to our table and was rude not helpful and told a waiter that he needed to make sure he took care of the regulars that come in over the other employee's service her name Anderea and our waiter was so moody when we came in she was already complaining because this one guy was training another waiter and she says I helped him out and he's just standing around and when she needed assistance she couldn't get the help from him. We where there 30 before we recieved our food and 15 min before we got refills. I hope corporate takes note of the type of service that was given to us and to all those that waited to be seated
This is a new location and you would figure that would have been on there toes

  47. My family decided to dine together after church. My brother and his wife arrived several minutes before I arrived with my mother and my family. When we arrived, my mother informed Michael the " General Manager" that we had a party waiting for us. Michael told my mother to go in the dining area and locate the waiting party ( Strike One). Excellent customer service would require him or another employee to escort us to our table. When we arrived at the table/ booth, the server asked 5 adults and 5 children to squeeze into a booth which could comfortably seat 6 adults without children ( Strike Two). When we requested a bigger table or booth, the server insisted that we could not have anything larger. My brother suggested that the table located behind the table where we were sitting was in fact intended for our party as it had been empty. The server became defensive, refused to offer a positive solution, stormed away to inform Michael. After she left, my mother, my daughter and I sat in the empty booth behind us. A few minutes later, Michael verbally accosted me by asking in both a condescending and demeaning tone, " Who told you to sit here!" (Strike Three) I told him that we seated ourselves because we were uncomfortable sitting in the booth with my brother and his family. He raised his voice (Strike Four) and told us that would have to get up and wait for another seat. At that point, I decided that I could not support your business as I have never experienced such horrible customer service from not only my sever but also from management which is unacceptable.

Michael attempted to explain to my brother and his wife that once they decided to sit down the restaurant was no longer reserving seats for me and my family. His explanation was a blatant display of dishonesty for two reasons. 1. He did not explain the policy, if in fact it is a policy, to my brother and his wife before they were seated. 2. If Michael were truly abiding by the policy, when we arrived at the restaurant, he would not have asked my mother to find my brother in the restaurant because he would have known that there would not be a place for us to sit.
Finally, as we were leaving, I told Michael that he is the rudest and the most unprofessional restaurant manager that I have ever encountered. He asked me to explain how he was rude, even as I attempted to explain he continued to interrupt me as I was speaking. He is the worst example of customer service that I have ever experienced. Furthermore, unlike most managers, he was willing to allow me and my family to leave your establishment dissatisfied without offering a form of compromise. Clearly he does not appreciate customers.
This was my first visit to Cheddars and because of Michael's actions, it will probably be my only visit.

  49. Cheddar's is nothing short of a frikkin' sweat shop. I should have known better when during orientation, the district manager "James", this little weasel of a man told the crowd-"I started here as a dishwasher. I walked around helping other workers who thanked me for helping. What they didn't know is I was trying to STEAL THEIR JOB!"

He went on to basically tell us that the only way to move up in Cheddar's is to be selfish and a backstabber.

There's a reason why no one in the kitchen wears a nametag. They don't want employees getting to know each other, because if they started getting friendly, they might complain about the fact they get no breaks whatsoever. Not a single break......NEVER.

Really sad business model. I will never eat at a Cheddars after what I went through.....

  51. I had the worst experience that I've had at a restaurant last night at Cheddars. Cheddars used to be one of my favorite places to eat because the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. After last night I will not be returning. I went there with my mouth all ready for my food. I ordered the same thing that I do everytime I go. I ordered the chicken tenders with the broccoli rice casserole and the southern green beans. After waiting on my very slow waitress for about 45 minutes after the order was put in, the food finally came out...well part of it did. I was missing the broccoli casserole. That's probably the main part of the meal that I wanted. The guy that brought the food out wasn't the waiter but I told him what i was missing so he could tell the waitress. Ten minutes later the waitress came back to the table with bbq sauce for my tenders but still no casserole. She said in such a nonchalant, round-about way, "Oh, we're out. You'll have to wait about 30-45 minutes for some more to come up." At this point i'm so upset...my husband, who's halfway done with his meal by that time, sees how upset i am and calls for the manager. She comes to the table like she doesn't want to be there and when my husband begins to explain to her what the issue is and asks her to discount the ticket she stops him and tells him she can offer him another side item but the ticket will not be discounted. She then offers me some steamed broccoli or some broccoli with queso on it...HELLO that's not the same thing! I told her that I didn't want another side dish and i also told her that I didn't feel like I should have to pay full price for part of my meal. I told her I should have been informed that they were out of what I had ordered and either offered something else from the beginning or let me change my order. She goes on to tell me that if i read the menu i would know that everything is made from scratch...I informed her that whether it's made from scratch or not you know when you're getting low on something so make more from scratch. She then tells me whether I get another side item or not my ticket will not be discounted. I told her to send the waitress back with the ticket because by that time i was LIVID! The waitress comes back to the table with the ticket in hand and tells me that the manager did discount the ticket. When my husband looks at the ticket, no discount had been applied. The waitress said she was going to send the manager back to the table but I told her not to send that woman back to my table. The waitress comes back and tells me that the manager said that she wasn't going to discount the ticket and we could either pay it or she was going to call the cops. I told never said anything about not paying the ticket...that was never my point. I just felt like it should have been discounted. My husband gave the money to the waitress and I sent the other gentleman that was helping her to get me the corporate number, the name of the general manager, the district manager and the name of the manager that was on duty that evening. He came back with the information I asked for and when i called the number he gave me i found out that that was the wrong number. Just as he handed me the paper with the numbers on it, I look up and two officers are walking towards my table. The manager had called the cops and told them we refused to pay the ticket not knowing that my husband had already cashed the ticket out and we were getting ready to leave. I was humiliated!!! I have contacted corporate and I do hope that they can rectify the issue. I have also contacted my attorney. I guess it's safe to say that I will never set foot in another Cheddars again!!!!

  52. I work at Cheddars in Odessa and they are sooo unprofessional. One employee shows up hung over, still drunk, or late all the time. She is ALWAYS high and sometimes she takes breaks to go smoke in her car. She starts all kinds of drama between other workers and they refuse to fire her. Who can I talk to?

  53. I will be contacting an attorney AND the local news channel for the treatment of myself and the poor waitress that the OWNER FIRED in front of me, told her to cry elsewhere when she started crying, got in MY face and caused a major scene just because I unknowingly ordered takeout and didnt dine in which I guess in his world is an offense worthy of beheading, caning, or public beating. The owner was very aggressive with me, got in my face, and raised his voice to me after I had already ordered and paid for my meal. I am a new client to the Cheddars chain and WAS telling everyone about it. That owner needs to go back to the Middle East where he's from because this is America and you do NOT treat customers or employees like that! I also heard he fired a brand new waiter last week for having one table complain about him. This was the waiters first job and the owner fired him just like he fired that poor waitress today for simply taking my order. I will NEVER eat at ANY Cheddars again and will be taking my complaint to a whole new level. I know a lot of locals and local news people who just love stories like this, this owner may own the restaurant but he is an embarrassment to the Cheddars name. I have never been treated like this by anyone, and to think he is the OWNER?? Shame on corporate for not keeping a closer eye on who represents the Cheddars name. The food is good but not worth all the upset everyone experienced today because of this middle eastern tyrant of a man who owns the Wellington Florida Cheddars which has only been open for TWO WEEKS. Who gets in a new customers face like that and yells at them for not knowing it wasnt a place you could order takeout from? There were no signs, nobody told me, I had walked in and ordered food for myself and my fiance and just wanted my food!He wasnt going to give me my food that I had already paid for because Cheddars doesnt do takeout! Seriously??

  54. We too recently ate at a Boardman, Ohio Cheddars. Hostess was very friendly but thats where it ended...waitress was either overwhelmed or didnt care, questions about menu were incorrect, which caused me to order wrong;food took forever, then came out cold and wrong! Drinks were never refilled, plates never removed, etc... had to wave my hands in the air for a diff server to get dessert, which they were out of and our waitress substituted WITHOUT asking us, so not only didnt I get to eat dinner but no dessert either. Used restroom and cook was standing in dining rm after his shift greeting night staff with 'whats up, mother fu@#$rs!'..was almost $50. bill and still tipped, Did survey, GM called & sounded sympathetic saying he's send gift card so we could try for better experience-against our better judgement, we agreed. Rcvd a photocopied gray/white $10 gift cert w/a standard letter today..was like a slap in the face!! I TOTALLY agree with the news media being informed so NO other customer is treated so callously! Wasnt just us either-EVERY person in our area looked disgusted with dirty plates on their tables & empty glasses...disgusting!

  56. My husband, daughter and I went to the Cheddar's in Mesquite,TX on Friday night. When my husband gave the hostess his name to be put on the list, he made it clear to her that he wanted a table and not a booth. My husband is a heavy set man and sitting in a booth is very uncomfortable for him. We waited 15 minutes and when the hostess came to get us to be seated she took us to a booth. My husband told her he asked for a table for a reason. She offered to put a chair on the outer part of the booth, but my husband refused because it was just in the way for the people passing by. So she brought it to the managers attention and he told her to put us back on the waiting list. I asked her how long did we have to wait and she said she didn't know. Another 15 minutes go by and what do you know, we just practically waited just so that we could be given another booth. We saw a party of "1" seated at a table and then another party that was there after we arrived got seated at another table. One of the hostesses told the girl that was seating us that we asked for a table and someone gave our table away. So we went ahead and left. We lost 30 minutes of our time to the lack of communication of the hostesses there. We walked out and you would think the manager would try and make it right. Nope, didn't even try to stop us on the way out. This just makes me think if the service for waiting on a table is that crappy should I expect the same type of service if we actually go there again and eat? After we left my husband called and asked to speak with the manager. The only thing he told my husband was he spoke with the hostesses and what did he expect him to do. This is not the type of customer service one should encounter on their first visit. Very bad first impression!

    3. I also agree with the poster,I have eaten at Cheddars in three different locations in Ky.I've never had a bad experience,in fact I was getting online to write a compliment. The staff has always been courtious, the waiting time varies depending on what time of day and how busy, but nothing unexpected. The atmospere is pleasant, my grandchildren and I love the huge fish aquariums! The food well priced and everything I've had has been very tasty. I would love to give a shout out to manager,Nick Baries and waitier,Alex Salguero Corado (hopefully I've spelled names correctly). My daughter, grandaughter and I ate at a Louisville location last week, upon finding a piece of plastic tag in my beloved broccoli casserole, I discreetly told the waiter (Alex)who immediatly got the manager(Nick)without me asking.Nick sat down in the booth beside me and appologized explaining what the plastic was, told me how embarrassed he was and not only did he take the price of my plate off the ticket, but he also gave me a $10 gift card that I will gladly use as soon as I get the opportunity. You know,it was just a human error, we all make them sometimes.I appreciate that Nick came to the table himself to appologize even tho it was a very busy day,it shows good management.I will def go back!Sorry about everyones bad experiences, maybe you should visit KY!LOL I have a comment for the May 18th,12:42pm replier... #1.Seriously...what in life has made you soooo angry?!!!

    4. Kentucky, TO make a long story short Cheddars sells signature drinks (limit 2) that are filled at least 1/2 with to much alcohol. I am a senior citizen and ask for grapefruit and vodka in a tall glass, also knowing they never have enough grapefruit juice you could sub. pineapple. I ordered a second before my 90 year old dad arrived for dinner which was my last and was told "we have no grapefruit juice and you are not to be served any more drinks".
Hum, went the next day and observed people in the bar drinking 5-6+ drinks.

  58. So yesterday, my boyfrind and I dinned at Cheddars in San Angelo, Tx. It was a horrible. It was freezing when we entered (ok no big deal). We were seated quickly. Our waiter was nice. I started thinking this was gonna be a nice meal. As we were seated my boyfriend (who USE TO work here but quit after dealing with bad management and theft problems) informed me that we were seated in the "new guys" area. Okay so Ill be patient with the new guy. problem. However, after we placed our order for our appetizer it took a while to get the onion rings and his salad. FINALLY when we did get it, our waiter still had not given us our utensils. When we finally got those, our onion rings were cold... I thought "okay this doesnt mean the rest will be bad". When we odered our main course, I asked the waiter what kind of cheese came on the mushroom burger. He told me he wasnt sure but that he would go ask the cook. INSTEAD of asking the cooks he went to a fellow waiter not far from us and asked him. Then the two proceeded to guess at what kind of cheese come on it. After several minutes of the two guessing, our waiter finally said he would just go ask the cooks...When he FINALLY returned he stoppped to talk to the same waiter. Again not far from our table. When they finally finshed talking we were able to order. After placing our order our food came quickly. I was half way through my burger when I happened to look down before I took a bite, and something was on my pickle. I pulled out a short, coarse, curly black hair...(it wasnt mine nor my boyfrineds because we both have blonde hair). That made us lose our appetite. When our waiter came back my boyfriend told him he was doing a good job but that we would like to speak with his manager. After waiting 10-15 mins she walks up scowling. My boyfrined proceed to politely tell her about the hair and showed it to her. He said it looked as though it could be a black mans hair or something. She then argued with us about who the hair belonged to, telling us the only black guy there had white hiar...Um ok well then it looked like that or a freaking PUBIC hair....She continued to argue with us and said there wasnt a whole lot she could do about it. But that she would take the dish off our reciet. She then walked away without ever even apologizing once for the hair.
My complaint is not on the waiter himself, but on his training, his supervision, and the manager who "addressed" our problem. I refuse to go back to this location even though its the only one we have. THEY ARENT WORTH IT....

  59. We live in Texas Home of the Chicken fried Steak. I visit Cheddars regular however the Mesquite location has different issues different days. Sometimes it's the Service, some days it's the food. I rarely eat the chicken fried steak however for the first time in a long time Friday I and my friend ordered it. It came out greasy and a pre breaded patty, both our steaks was totally flat oval smooth and exactly the same size and details, before I tasted it I knew, however I did take a bite and it tasted like crap! Lol... This is not Sonic which would have been better! How can they show a photo of a great chicken fried steak and serve this crap? I don't know if management took the real steaks home and replaced them with this dime store steak or they have change this item at all the locations! Also the week before friends and I went and the Comp. was down. The first thing the waitress said was " are you sure you want to eat here today our Comp. are down and it may take a while. Lol... Duh well yes I am already setting here also I make a long out of town drive to go there! How would that slow anything down, Do they not know how to do it the old fashioned way before Comp.? Lol.... We got the food steaks cooked wrong and food cold. Now pray tell me how is that the fault of computers? I have taken them many New costumers however never again! Find another location and who knows they may be all the same now! Cheddars has gone to the Dogs! What a waste of a nice place! Linda

  61. I ordered Take out in Huntsville , Alabama. The food was cold, & horrible. We spent 65.03 on 4 orders of 12 oz steak dinners. When my son arrived to pick them up it was only 3. He had to wait on the other one. One of the take out boxes had a hole in it. The rest looked nasty. I called to ask for a manager, the young lady Felicia said it wasn't a manager available. I asked for a supervisor and kept getting the runaround. So I called on my house phone same thang. That took 30 minutes or more, so one of my sons ate his meal. By the time I finally spoke to a manager he wanted me to bring the food back. Ok it's 30 minutes before closing & I'm really pissed. This wasn't the first time. They didn't even had the sides right. I read the order 4x to the girl who took our order. I'll . Management is also sorry. I'm still gonna call corporate and also let everyone else know about the service. Cheddars clearly don't care about there customers

  64. We go to the Cheddar's in Omaha, Ne. It is usually one of our favorite places to eat. We went a couple of nights ago. The food was cold. As the waitress came up to take plates I pulled out not one, but two hairs from the butter croissants right as she was standing there. She then proceeded to ask if she could take away some plates. I told her I just pulled two hairs out of the croissants. She said that's fine. That's fine!? She said she would talk to the manager, and he would take them off for us. The manager didn't come over and apologize, and because we didn't raise a big stink about it, the waitress acted like it was no big deal. I'm sorry, but that is disgusting. I can't believe we received that poor of service.

  65. Carolyn Croft, Wellington, FlFebruary 18, 2013 at 9:53 PM

I ate at the Cheddar's in Wellington Fl on Sunday, February 17, 2012 and it was so crowed due to the Presidents Day Holiday and "season" the parking lot was full, so I, along with many, many others parked next door in the overflow lot. (I had done this on another occasion when I ate there previously.) There were people waiting outside the main doors and in the entryway and there was about a 40 minute wait for our meal. The food was ok, there wasn't that much meat on my meal, but it was tender. The hostess was nice, but the problem began when I left. My car was gone. I thought it was stolen, but when I came back in the restaurant to call someone and tell him what happened and call the police, I saw a small piece of paper on the door that said to be careful about parking next door or you may get towed. Of course, no one warned me or the many other patrons when we entered the restaurant and put our names on the list, as of course, we would have left to go eat at another restaurant. Since the restaurant was so crowed with people when I came in, the sign was obscured by the many people in front of it, and there was only one small do not park sign next door, which I didn't see because I had parked my toyota next to a large truck. Every single car in the lot next door was a patron of Cheddars, as the other establishments were all closed, and all of the cars were towed. It cost me $154.00 to get my car that night. I had to call someone to come get me and my two grandchildren, and wait out late on a Sunday night, and of course it is not in the best part of town. When I told the manager, he said he would try to take care of me the next day and to call him. He also said it had been going on all night. I told him the sign obviously wasn't working and why wasn't he warning people? (Can you say kick back???)As I waited for someone to come get me to get my car, I saw more cars being towed!! When I tried to call him back today, he was not available three times when I called, so I went back in personally to speak to him and he told me it was my problem and he couldn't help me. When I asked him who I could contact in order to get my money refunded, he said,"I don't care if you contact President Obama I am not giving you your money back." This is Richard, the GM of the Wellington, FL store. At this point, I quit being nice, and became quite irritated, as I felt that this was uncalled for. I told him that I felt it was his fault for not verbally informing all of the customers as they arrived about the risk of parking next door, as he already was aware of all of the customers who had their cars towed and this was not something that had happened on previous visits so I was not expecting it. Of course he just asked me to leave and let him "run his business." I will make it my business to let all of the facebook community in Wellington NOT TO EAT AT THE WELLINGTON CHEDDARS UNTIL I GET MY MONEY!!!I won't be letting him run his business until I get my money back. This will be VERY, VERY, BAD for his business. I can tell you nobody likes a manager who treats his cutomers like this. He is giving Cheddars a BAD NAME!!!

The manager Kelly cusses her team members. That is the most disgustingly dirty kitchen ever. The employees eat of the customers plates before they take the food out. The employees grope each other men and women. The manager dresses like a homeless person. I had a debate with Renetta and mysteriously
The next day my tire is slashe's $181.00 to replace.. Then a week later a debate with a girl named Tara and my car gets keyed the same night... Horrible management. Filthy kitchen, waste of my time cost me more to with there for three weeks than I made...

  70. Fayetteville N.C. I wrote to them about the experience, never got a response. Went there with a friend for lunch, around 1:30 on a Saturday. We sat at the high tops in the bar area. After 10 minutes with no one speaking to us we asked a server that was passing by if we could get some help. She was polite and told us that she was not our server, and pointed out the lady that was. Our server was at one of the booths in the bar. While we sat we noticed a man sitting at the next table. We struck up small talk, he told us he had been there for 15 minutes, and no one had spoken to him either. We tried getting the attention of our server and were ignored. The man at the next table finally just got up and left. At the 20 minute mark we decided to leave as well.

Keep in mind there were two other servers working in that area, and even though we were not their table you would have though one of them could have let someone know we were being ignored. Could have offered to get us some water, something. The bartender was just 10 feet away and didnt notice, or didnt care that we were being ignored. She was not swamped. She was standing at the end of the bar chatting most of the time. All the time our server was hanging out at one booth with her back to us.

On leaving I asked to speak to the manager. He was up at the front. When I let him know were leaving without being served and why, He was polite, and asked what table we were sitting at. I showed him, and I could see he was really frustrated. He asked if there was anything he could do. I said no and thanked him for asking. My friend and I left and weny to Ruby Tuesdays, and had a great lunch.

Just something to think about, the man that left, my friend and I are all of the same skin color. Our server is of a different skin color. I would hate to think that was the reason we were being ignored. If it was, you have a real issue that you had better get fixed. This was my first experience in a Cheddars, and lets just say it fell way short of enjoyable.

I was ordering togo and it took nearly an hour for me to get my food! No one apologized, no manager was sent over, NOTHING! The entire staff there is rude. And when I got my food it was cold and the fries were stale. Is there anyone I can contact about this experience?

  73. My friend and I ate at the Cheddars in Jackson, TN and we have never been treated so rudely by management in our lives. The manager, Ruch Weaver is very unprofessional. We each ordered the rib and chicken tender combo. Well we ask our waitress could we send the ribs back and get additional chicken tenders instead of ribs. After a slight weight Mr. Weaver came to our table with much attitude. He preceded to quote the policy that Cheddars has for returning food and stated "if the food is prepared properly we would still be responsible for paying our check. He insinuated that we were trying to get out of paying. We had no issue paying, we just could not eat the dry, tasteless ribs that we were served. He then looked at me and said half of your ribs are gone and you should know after a bite or two if you like them! I told him if he looked close he would see they are picked over. Maybe they were going to recycle them! And the Cheddars Corporate Number is not working! Go figure!

Service was terrible. The waiter was obviously stressed (or incompetent). After waiting at least ten minutes without getting service we left. We ended up nearby at Outback where we had a nice dinner. BTW, the tab for us at Outback was about $50 and tipped $9........plus we had a trainee as a server. She was still excellent. We will not go back to Cheddars.

  77. My family and I went to Cheddars on University in Little Rock Arkansas for Mother's Day(5/12/13) it was the worst service! We knew there would be a wait due to it being Mother's Day, which we didn't mind. We told the hostess that we could sit in booths if that would help. We checked with the hostess after 1 1/2 hours and she said our area was ready but the waiter had to leave to take another employee home due to them being ill. We knew the employee that was ill and the waiter was gone for over 1 hour and our area had been ready for quite sometime but they wouldn't set us until she returned. We were finally seated after 2 hours...(arrived at 3:15 pm and got seated at 5:32 pm). They did put us in booths but they put us side by side they spread us out, and the whole area was empty, until other people started coming in they put them around us. We placed our order and it just got worse from there!!! I guess since we were in booths the kitchen wasn't told we were all together so they would bring food for a booth and about 5 - 8 minutes later they would bring another booth, we were in four booths so needless to say by the time the 3rd booth received their food the first booth was finished....and by the time the fourth booth received their food all of the other booths were finished and had their leftovers in to-go boxes. At two tables 2 childern never received their food and at the last table one of the mothers never received their food! We did talk to the manager about the service and he said due to it being Mother's Day they were really over worked and the kitchen could not keep up. OK I have worked in the Restaurant business waiting tables and during the holidays like Mother's Day we made sure everything ran smoothly! I have never written a complant about any restaurant before but I just want people to know NEVER GO TO CHEDDARS!!!!!!!! The Mother that didn't get her food had McDonald's...that was better than the service at Cheddars.

  79. Tonight, My family and I had a horrible experience at the Cheddars restaurant in Avon, Indiana. We got there at 5:00 pm and didn't get out of there till 7:30 pm. It started when we ordered the drinks. We ordered 4 sweet teas. How can you screw that up? Well after 3 attempts they still didn't get it right. Then we ordered two orders of onion rings for an appetizer. We received one of them but not the other. Nor did we receive the salads we ordered. The dinners we ordered were also incomplete and missing items.
My cousin ordered the ribs with corn and she had so much corn on her plate she could of fed everyone at the table. The server which seemed to be a nice kid but poorly trained and apparently new. We asked him for several items and he forgot several times. We did ask to see the manager whose name was Bill Harris and he reeked incompetence. He seem to make a joke out of the whole situation with just pissed me off more. He offered to pay for our appetizers; which one of them we never received, and that he would buy our desserts.
Now remember they have already screwed everything else up and wasted our time so what makes you think they would of got that right. Then to top it off, we asked to have separate checks which it was also a predictable mishap. They screwed that up too. My family and I have ate at Cheddars several times in the past and even in different states and have never experience such poor service.
I am extremely disappointed! After the treatment we receive and reading some of the other complaints, I think we may think twice about ever returning to this restaurant. I want to leave you with one final note. In case you don't realize that we live in a technical age with smart phones, blogging, apps and social media. Your reputation can be destroyed just like that. So you need to clean up your act and train your employees properly and treat your customers with the respect they deserve or you will be out of business! I hate to say it but most people realize that you know what, rolls down hill, and ultimately it reflects back on upper management and corporate in their decision making.

  80. Your massive growth has caught up with you!!! Your new store (6 mos ) in Murfreesboro TN is a joke!! It's time to fire the district mgr., most of the servers, all of the cooks, and all of the management. I've eaten at several stores in TN they are mostly well managed, consistent and clean. But not this store, the food is served warm to cold at best. They still haven't figured out the batter on the onion rings, served too thick and chewy! Sweet tea is always weak and not sweet! Floors in dining area and restrooms are filthy, paper and napkins on floor, employees never even notice or don't care. Eaten there 10 times, rarely see a mgr. on floor. Mgr. has never checked our table. I will never eat at this store again!!! I have many years in management, shame on corp. mgrs. to allow this to continue for so long. Mgrs. should have been replaced long ago. I will have to drive to another town to find a decent Cheddars.

  81. I was at the Mesquite, TX location and the service was awful. The hostess sat me in the bar. On the way to my seat she past several clean tables to sit me at a dirty table. Then when I complained that the table was dirty she walked off and never came back. Then when I was finally seated at a clean table the menu was filthy. Then I complained to the manager and he got pissed and walked off. This place just hires anybody. The waitress was awful and had an attitude. This place needs new management or to be shut down!!!

  82. We were at the Cheddars at University area, charlotte NC. Have never ever seen a more disorganized place in my entire 64 years!! First of all, Mike a new server is a bit hot headed and very angry. He actually scared me with his actions! He arrived at our table with not "hello"..it was..I have 8 other tables and running a little behind and I will get to you as soon as I can! :(...Wow! When he finally did come back..we ordered our coke's. Ordered onion rings to eat before our meal. That was fine. Then came our meal of ribs. He forgot our salads..and when he did bring them, had to wrong salad dressing on them. Acted like it was my fault that he was lame! Kept talking to himself about having so much to do. He said other employees had called out due to racing activities. (not my fault) I have never been treated this way by a young punk college student. He almost got in a fight with a table of 3 men and was told he better get out of their face 3 times before customer took off hat and was ready to fight him. He had told that customer that he didn't have time to take his money and he would have to wait. Hummm Where in the world did he learn his skills from? It was plain to see he had no experience and no business dealing with the public. I will never ever go back to this place again. McDonalds has more class then this place. They need to clean up their act or they will not be in business much longer! Saw 3 others complain about the meal and service. Plan on calling Corp. when they open up tuesday am.

  83. Well it looks like you can add Dallas, TX to the list of complaints for the SORRIEST table and customer service EVER! I went to the restaurant on Greenville / 635 on Monday, May 27, I called in my order to go at 3:19 pm and when I got there at approximately 3:45 pm the girl that waited on me in the bar area said the order was not put in, I said, I called it in at 3:19 pm , she said, you must have a called another restaurant. I said, no I called this store, I live in this area, and then I showed her the number I called from my cell phone, her response, well I put it in now. No apologies, No concern that I was inconvenienced, I was mildly upset, so I thought that I would talk to the manager, and he (I didn't get his name, silly me) was of NO help, he looked at me dumb-founded, he had NO apology, he did not offer any assistance! Well Cheddars, I will NOT be visiting your restaurant again! I will take my business to someone that wants and appreciates it! Oh by the way, thanks for sending me Kroger's to get my ribs, they were DELISH and they thanked me for coming AND wished me Happy Memorial's Day! WOW!

  86. Today 6/7/2013, 1:30pm at the York, Pa location Cheddar's Casual Cafe. I witnessed a manager by the name of Mary remove food from a customer plate after assisting the customer and consumed pieces of the dish (chicken) from the plate with out consent of the customer and without paying for the dish. In the Cheddar's Employee handbook it states that employees are NOT ALLOWED to consume or eat a product of Cheddar's Casual Cafe without paying for the the full dish. If this action is performed by ANY employee of Cheddar's should be and will be noted as STEALING product from Cheddar's Casual Cafe Corporation. I felt this service to be unacceptable and down right DISRESPECTFUL to the customer!

  87. My husband and I, while traveling, will actually arrange trips around Cheddar's locations. Living in the Indianapolis area, we now have a Cheddar's in Avon, IN. Last time we ate there, and there was seven of us in the family, it took 3 1/2 hours after we had been seated, to complete our meal. The waiter took forever before coming to our table and when he did, he had the orders all wrong. Let me add that we went early and were seated right away. The problems began at that point. Five of us ordered sweet tea. Took forever to get it and when it arrived, it was not sweet tea. The waiter said he would bring new tea. Ten minutes later, he brought more tea and it was also unsweetened. He tried for a third time and still didn't get it right. A half hour went by before taking our orders. Another half hour goes by and the food appeared and the orders were all mixed up with items we didn't order. Oh, we did order an appetizer of onion rings, ate them all and ordered a second thing of rings which we never received. Back to the original meal. The waiter took five meals back and after I was done with my ribs, I finally got my french fries. The others were just getting their meals. The food was good but it's been better at other Cheddar's. It took forever to get our check and when we did, it was wrong also. The waiter tried to figure it out and had to have the manager come out and help. He had a hard time as well since everything we had was messed up. A long time went by before getting the corrected bill. While the manager was trying to figure things out, we all told him the experience we'd had and how long everything took, etc. He, instead of taking some or all of the amount owed, he said he would send us all a free dessert. Big deal!! That should have been seven desserts which in my estimation was a wrong comfort deal. I gave him my name and address to send them all to. Anyway, we finally paid the bill with four of us paying and it took another eternity to get change or the receipt to be signed. All in all, it took us from the time we sat down till we walked out the door a total of 3 1/2 hours. To top it off, I finally got a coupon from the manager and it was a $10.00 coupon. What a bunch of crap!! None of us will eat there again. I have had other situations at that same Cheddar's with my shrimp being burnt to a crisp, then having them replaced with more burnt shrimp. My neighbors won't eat there anymore because the last couple times they were there, there food was cold and the baked spagetti was frozen in the middle. Cheri Innis, Danville, IN

  89. We were there for 30 min before we even got drinks. They were out of the things to make 3 different drinks for others in our party. We then noticed our silverwear was very dirty, so asked for a manager. The server then walked away from our table rolled her eyes and shook her head saying i swear people. So at this point I went to the hostess and asked for a Manager right away. While we were speaking to him we were once told AGAIN that they were out of certain things to make 2 people in our parties food. The manager then offered to take care of those 2 meals. My husband stated "Is that really all you are going to do, that is bull crap." The manager then told my husband he didn't need to speak to him that way or he could leave. REALLY?? This is how business is handled at Cheddars? We were there for my brothers bday. They live there and go at least once a month. This was our first and last visit ever! he just threw a good $300 down the drain, especially since beverages were being ordered. he offered nothing except a couple meals, especially after the rude server. Then after we left we watched from the parking lot as they all stood in the window making fun of the fact that we were all angry. The server was making threatening gesture out the window towards me. but the Manager could have cared less and said nothing to her. This type of behavior in customer service is bvery uncalled for. I will be letting everyone that I know about this issue, and to stay away from cheddars... Do not waste your time or money because needless to say customers that pay that salaries do not matter to them?? HMMM Lets see how long they could stay open without them??

    1. Why wasn't them taking care of two of you meals ok...and why did you think you should get more? They are not in the business to give things away and will need to break even after every opportunity customer. And to tell someone that's bull crap...I would have asked you to leave because you do not have a right to talk to someone like that! You should be ashamed of yourself!

  90. Cheddars in McDonough, GA has an employee who has been arrested over 11 times since 2008 working in their kitchen. Just think about what he might be putting in the food of someone who didn't like what he was cooking. Maybe some of that special stuff they serve in the Henry County Jail!

  91. Just returned from Cheddars in Mishawaka In. The worst customer service and management I have ever encountered. Took our elderly parents out to dinner, we had to wait over 50 minutes before we received our meals. Watched several tables come in after us get their meals. We had to ask for water, twice and then for straws. Waitress did not have a clue what she was doing and not even friendly. When asked where our meals were after 45 minutes, she replied it would be 1 more minute. About 10 minutes later the manager showed up with our meals and not a word about what he could do to please us. When we left the manager, Brian, was standing in the hall area and I let him know that I was very unhappy with his service and how unprofessional both he and the waitress was. His response was, it's only my second day! What kind of place hires a person to manage a busy restaurant without any management skills!!!!!!!!! I rate this place a -10 !! don't go there if you want to be respected as a valuable customer.

  94. Cheddar's is about to open a new location in Pleasant Prairie WI. They claim to be an equal opportunity employer but after applying this was not the case. I am an ex felon, who has been out of the system for over 10 years. When I got to the question about my background, I answered truthfully and was immediately told I was unqualified for the position. So out of curiosity, I changed my answer and was able to finish the assessment. So my conclusion here is they are NOT an equal opportunity employer, and are biased against anyone with a felon, without any background knowledge. I will not be visiting this new location or any location to apply for a job or as a customer. They can continue to serve the 1%, its obvious they are not here for the average working class person, who is making an effort to earn and take care of their families. I will be contacting the Labor board regarding this issue.

We called ahead of time considering the large size, they said there was nothing they could do, we had to come and wait. it took them 2 1/2 hours to seat us so some of our party opted to leave. The greeter at the front Tamara told us the reason it took so long is because they had parties ahead of us but it clearly was not. The restaurant was half empty when we arrived and they constantly sat people and ignored us until we started complaining. Needless to say I was very disappoint with them and will find another restaurant to spend money at.

I asked for a well done steak with the steak and shrimp dinner and it was pink in the middle, they offered to bring me another steak which I never received, andanother person had the dijon chicken and the chicken was burned and could not be cut into. We also had the Alfredo and the noodles were over cooked. We spoke with a manager that stated he would take care of the issue but obviously he didn't b/c I never received my steak. My name is Tameica and we ate at the Valdosta, Ga. location.

We have visited this restaurant on four different occasions, and each time it took over 30 minutes from the time we ordered to receive our simple food. I believe this is too long to wait for dinner or lunch. It appears that the Managers do not have time to properly manage the restaurant. This afternoon, we attempted to go back one more time and decided to sit at the bar (in fear of a long wait). Again, it took 30 minutes before I asked the bartender about our order. She went back to check and we noticed her delivering bread to a table (at the 40 minute point). I stopped her, and she stated that the kitchen had an issue. The manager came behind the bar, however, he never came over to address the situation after the bartender stated that he was coming to address the situation. We decided to leave at that point and went to another restaurant. There are many other good restaurants in the area to choose from and I recommend that you pass on Cheddar s if you prefer to have your food delivered within 30 minutes.

  107. I purchased a gift card for Cheddars and the recipients attempted to use it at the Cheddars in College Station, TX. They were practically chased out the door informing them that the gift card was no good. (How embarrassing for them!) Once inside with the manager, they were informed that this franchise didn't have the scanner needed to process the gift card so it could not be used. I then contacted the manager once I was informed of their experience and was told that gift cards sold in stores for Cheddars are "Corporate bulk sales" and that their restaurant does not accept them. What??!! How is the consumer supposed to know this? I purchased this specific gift card because I knew the recipients frequented this particular restaurant. - I am still waiting on a contact back from the corporate office and have no contact information for the franchise owners because the manager pretty much stated that the buck stopped with him. I am so frustrated with this experience.

  108. I am writing regarding an incident that took place at your Brandywine Md. location January 12 approximately 7:50 p.m. Another patron seated at the bar across from me and my party became belligerent an exchange of words ensued at which point the manager, Terri, walked up and said NOTHING he did NOTHING to diffuse the situation. He did not remove him and clearly he was the aggressor nor did he even move him to the other end of the bar nor did he call the police. After this patron berates us verbally for 5-10 minutes and leaves on his own the manager then comes to my party and tells us we have to leave. There was still food we had ordered and not eaten as well as drinks on the bar. We were not provided a to go container nor were we refunded for the food and drinks. I am appalled that a manager would allow a paying customer to be berated and verbally abused the way we were. I am even more appalled no apology was offered. The only apology received came from the friend of the person who was being verbally abusive apologizing for his behavior. On top of all this it took us forever to even get our food in the first place. I had been patronizing this location since its opening and your staff can verify there have never been any incidents while I was there. I will never patronize your business again. This is unacceptable I felt totally discriminated against.

  109. Ok where do I start. I went to Cheddar Charlotte N.C University. 1/16/14. Which was my five year anniversary. So we go in and get seated. We order salad and the spinach dip. The salad was water down like the salad you buy out of Walmart in the bag. The spinach dip was disgusting. I didn't want to let that spoil the nite so we ordered the alfred chicken. So the food gets ther and it was so dry we couldn't even it that. So a lady walks buy and ask us were we ok (us not knowing that she was the manager). She look at the alfred and ask if we wanting more alfred sauce. We said yes which it never made it to our table. So at this point my husband had enough ask for the manager. The same lady came back to the table. We told her about how all the food was. And basically she told us that our alfred look dry because it's been seating on our table for a while. She was very unapologetic goin back and forth tryna to defend the restaurant, and told us that she couldn't take anything off our tab. Sat this time we were done with her. I pay and left. So Friday a called the GM at the store and all he could say was that they stick to policy about taking thing off the tab.at the end of our conversation all he could offer me was a gift certificate for when i come back. Why would I want to come back to the restaurant after a experience like that.

She said she goes to I.U. and she is now Senior there, she is very personable and very bright from what I encountered at the restaurant. She is very aware of customers needs, and try's her hardest to comply to anything a customers wants. Just letting you know this with all the negativity of these comments, their are some waiters and waitress's that are very caring and professional. Maybe management material? Thank you .

We are regulars there, and almost every time we go we have a problem with something wrong appearing on the receipt. We don't get upset over it, we understand how busy the servers can be and the managers are always very kind and apologetic about it. Except for the last time we went the G.M. John Long came to our table and practically mocked my mother in law for simply wanting them to fix the price on her receipt. He then walked away to another server and laughed about it as if he were making fun of her. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

  112. I am writing this complaint regarding the Cheddars in Lubbock, Tx. We are regulars there, and almost every time we go we have a problem with something. Which makes us wonder why we continue to return. We work at a very busy dental office and therefore only have and 1 1/2 lunch. So you would think that is plenty of time for our food the reach our table. Well upon todays visit we will never be returning. One of us found food in her drink, the other a fingernail in her drink and a hair in the appetizer ordered. Two of us ordered the same exact thing, only one was brought out 15 before the other which by this time its cold. One of the other girls ordered a bowl of soup, which we never got. We called the manager and he didn't seem to be bothered by the lack of service. After waiting an hour and 15 mins we didn't our food. They kept telling us it was on its way so we asked to have it boxed. 10 mins later no food, no manager and no server SO WE WALKED OUT!! We now have to return to work!! WE KEEP ASKING WHY DO WE KEEP RETURNING......WE ARE SOOOO DONE WITH CHEDDARS d

It's funny how when I looked my waiter in the eye and asked him to please make a special note on the ticket "for the cook to cut into my ribeye to make sure it's medium well - just a little pink so that I don't have to send it back and wait while the rest of the table eats without me. " The waiter assured me. Sure enough, the steak was well done. So there I sit. Finally, the second ribeye arrives. The chef did slice into it, but it too was well-done. I ordered medium well. How difficult is this? You grill cook isn't paying attention. Pissed me off to the max. The five other people at my table were finished before my meal ever arrived...precisely what I asked NOT to happen.

I ordered an appetizer, I never received it. When we finally got our food, I had hair in mine. I made to manager aware of it, he was soooooo rude and didn't care. He didn't offer an apology, or replacement or anything. He snatched my food up and said "oh I believe you" and walked off. All the servers knew as that his first name was Tim, and the general manager's name was MACK, no last names. I asked for a manager several times, Tim nor the other manager on staff ever came to my table. I asked for the cooperate office phone number, I was provided with a wrong number. We asked two waitresses if they could hold a table for us, but due to there being a full house and lobby they were unable to accommodate our wishes. That was understandable and we told by the waitresses that if our guest weren't there in a certain period of time they would have to fill the spots that became vacant near the area we were already seated in. Again that was completely understandable!! Minutes later we were greeted by what was told to us to be the General Manager. He was completely disrespectful and told us in a terrible manner that we weren't to request any vacant seats to be held for our guest that wasn't there yet. AGAIN completely understandable!! After the General Manager made his disrespectul mannered comments I then went to the kitchen entrance area to fgreet him about the situation. I told him, "Sir, everything you said was understandable but you should mind how you say things and how you handle your guest". He then walk up to my face and told me to get out of his space, and then told me to leave as if I were the one who came to him disrespectful. I could have easily felt disrespected but I was so in shock by the way he came into my face with complete disrespect and made remarks as if I were the one who initiated the situation by violating his space. I could have easily pulled the race card but I feel that is so typical! I feel he was wrong and I will be calling corporate first thing Monday morning March 10, 2014.

  118. I had a totally satisfactory experience at the Cheddar's along the Gulf Freeway in Webster, Tx. I brought 2 grandchildren along. The server, Carl, was very attentive to our needs. The food we ordered was very good. We will definitely come back.

  121. We went to Cheddars tonight in San Angelo, TX to have dinner. I ordered fish tacos and they came out very undercooked. They had a grey tint to them and were very slimy. We were able to catch the manager we have been told his name is Shay. I told him that my fish looked undercooked. His response was "if they were undercooked they would be pink". This was said in a slightly rude tone and after which he immediately turned around and left went back up to the host stand and started talking and laughing with the hostess. Didn't ask me if I wanted them to put it back on the grill, if he could bring me something else, nothing. he said the above comment and left. My entire party and I were FURIOUS!!! I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, I worked in the restaurant business for over 6 years and I understand sometimes you just have bad days. We called our waitress back over for Togo boxes because the other member of my party was not able to recompose themselves after this incident. Our waitress Cassandra was so sweet and an incredible server. We told her about the incident and she did very good at remaining neutral in the matter while also being very apologetic. We told her we would be in touch with corporate and as soon as the manager heard corporate he came back to our table and listened to our entire conversation with Cassandra will standing behind a ledge all the while saying nothing. Cassandra brought us the check and said he felt really bad about the situation and "Discounted" the fish tacos for us "because they did appear to be undercooked". This again sent my table into a tizzy. He made his employee deal with an irate table and clean up his mess and then to say they actually did look undercooked is appalling. Had I eaten these I could have become sick, gotten food poisoning all because he was more worried about his conversation with his friend. I would love to talk to someone at the corporate level about this. Because had I eaten these and gotten sick this would have been a far bigger issue. I don't want this guy to be fired because Cassandra spoke highly of him and I am really hoping tonight was a rare occasion for him, however I know when I worked in the business I would have wanted to know if someone was creating potential liabilities for the company and if somebody was representing my restaurant in this way.

  122. I read this on a friend's Facebook page and felt that I should make you aware of it. Coming from someone I find credible, it has certainly colored my impression of Cheddar's. Interestingly, I'm reading this in Paris, France. I've got friends all over the world and the United States who have been exposed to this writeup. Not surprisingly, I've found several complaints about the owner/manager of the Wellington location being aggressive with customers. That should be stopped immediately. Hopefully, you'll find the following instructive: "Open letter to Cheddar's in Wellington, Florida.
I was speechless after visiting your Wellington, Florida branch yesterday afternoon. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and we could not be seated until everyone had arrived (which was not a problem at all, but usually half of the party must be there to be seated). Secondly, I thought a company’s job is to make easy for the customers; the waiter made clear that he will only provide us with one check. As the waiter approached to sit us down outside, some of us were speaking a different language (French and Creole). What I heard from his mouth next was very inappropriate and rude, "I hope they have money to pay" he uttered. His prejudice comments took me by surprise; I immediately asked some of the other members from our group if they had heard the same comment; a couple of them quickly confirmed it. We asked to speak to a manager and he came out to assess the situation. We told him what had happened and he quickly defended his waiter, “he would never say something like that and I’m not going to take your words against my employee” he said. Now, I hold an MBA in Global Management from a well respected University and work for a Fortune 350 company and I’ve never seen a manager (he claimed that he’s the owner) with such a bad attitude. One of us uttered “you don’t want our business” he replied “damn right, you could leave now. That’s exactly what I want, leave my building now.
I found this on your company's website, "At Cheddar’s, our goal is to live up to that original, simple idea: be a great restaurant that serves quality food fresh from the kitchen in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere at a fair price."
This was not service issue, this was a value issue. I will not let this experience make me formulate a general opinion about your company like the waiter and GM/Owner did to our group. I will eat at other Cheddar's, but I will never set my feet inside the Wellington, Florida branch. This was my 4th visit in the past 2 months and usually the staff is very friendly, I have to be honest. But at the same time, the manager showed us that he doesn't value every customer."

  123. My family and I went to Cheddars and it couldn't have been a worse decision! We were seated immediately but had to wait an eternity before being approached by wait staff. The service was HORRIBLE and it didn't change after we spoke to management. Our drinks went unnoticed as they sat empty nor did our waitress ever offer to refill them. She went on to casually remove them from the table without offering to refill them. Part of our food came out ok and part of it was terrible and cold. After returning the disliked entree, it was removed from the bill - fine, but after returning PART of my dinner that was cold, it never got replaced. Our idiot waitress asked if we wanted desert and then proceeded to bring the check before ever returning my entree. The manager came back out and asked if I wanted a box for my entree that was never returned. He never offered to remove it from the check. By this point, we just wanted to get the hell out. I opted not to "bother" the manager or waitstaff further and paid the bill. We won't be returning to Cheddars in this lifetime. You will avoid too if you know what's best!

  126. I visit Chedders in Gastonia and Asheville. NC as one of my favorite restaurants.
but thinking all Chedders were the same was a joke. Stopped in Greenville, SC
on May 7, 2014 was a bad experience. The health rating of Grade B was posted
on the front door and I should have went elsewhere. The food was not what I was
expecting I would never go to a Chedders if this was my first experience.

  128. We waited 1 1/2 hours for a table for 10 that never happened. When we voiced our dissatisfaction to the manager , he said it was Chedders policy not to hold tables and it was their busiest day of the year. We left and went to Chicago pizza where we received immediate wonderful service. Will never go to chedders again.

  129. I have been to the cheddars in baytown tx about 20 times i enjoy going there because the staff are always nice and go out of their way to make shure you are taken care of but the past 4 times i have gone there the restraunt has been really loud and when i mean loud it reminds me of going to a bar and it's so loud i couldn't even think about what i wanted to eat and when i went to order i couldn't hear the waitress and she couldn't hear me, this restraunt at the baytown location is like a zoo. also while i was there there was a hispanic group that couldn't keep there kids under control all i heard was their kid crying and throwing a fit, also the father of the kids were picking at the youngest kids hair like he was looking for bugs. just before the hispanic group came in there was a group of women that were so loud more than 3 couples complained to the manager and he went over and asked them to lower the noise 4 times after 30 min from the time he told them last, they finaly left. this restraunt's location use to be a good place you could go and eat and have a peaceful meal but now it is not, i could go to mcdonalds and have more peace and quiet . the only good things at the baytown cheddars is the waitstaff and the food the rest is like a zoo. they need to control the noise level in this restraunt of they will loose more customers including me.

  130. Looking at the number of comments listed above, it appears that this one will just add to the list, with no corporate action. My wife, daughter and myself went to the Cheddars in south Austin, TX yesterday around 1 PM and I ordered my favorite Cheddar's offering-Shepards Pie. Waiter said we don't have that on the menu any more. Then my daughter ordered green beans-they were out. Manager came and explained both situations. I stated I would send an e-mail to corporate and request the Shepards Pie be put back on the menu. Imagine, no e-mail access to corporate! Almost all businesses have an e-mail contact. However, the waitstaff and manager were pleasant.

  132. Slidell cheddars store is awful, don't go there to eat. No class, no professionalism, no courtesy and no respect. I ordered food to go and 3 people were working at the bar and it just set there then finally 20 minutes later I asked about it and they said oh here it is.wow really! What a bunch of loosers! And then they expected a tip. REALLY!

  133. Cheddars in West Knoxville on Kingston Pk is one of my families favorite places to eat. The food is always good, service is usually above par and I think its a good value. Unfortunately, there is a BUT.
Tonight we went in, got seated in one of the "wings", there was a table of approximately 8 adults and 2 children, and the 4 of us in this dining room. As soon as we were seated, we noticed how LOUD the other table was talking/literally yelling at times. As the dinner hour got later, the dining room filled up as usual. The loud table got louder and louder. I asked our server to please ask them to tone it down and he said he'd see what he could do. He never approched them. They co tinued to get EXTREMELY loud, to the point that people at other tables around them could not even communicate with each other. I asked for the manager, who never showed up. They finally left. Our waiter offered our single dessert on the house because he knew it was so loud. The table across from us was complaining to their waiter. I ended up asking the hostess to send the manager to us. He came to the table, squatted down and began to appoligize and said, his words, "I cant co trol what people do while they are here". I asked why he hadnt come and asked them to be alittle quieter or even come to MY table and he said noone told him. Well, he obviously knew there was an issue and chose to do nothing about it. He asked if there was anything he could do for us... really, now that our evening had been basically ruined. He didnt offer to comp anything, offer coupons, NOTHING at all, just kept saying he cant control his customers. I informed him that as manager of the business, he has every right to ask them to quiet down or even have them removed. He just said he was sorry again. I told him that if that was how he managed his restaurant, he needed to find a new career. As we got up to leave, the next in what I have a feeling was going to be at least 8 or 9 tables called him over and started to complain. We love the place and will go back, but you really need to have some management training or find management that will be accountable for the store. The next table was a group of people visiting from out of town and I heard them say they would never be back to that location...

  135. As an employee of the Cheddar's in Jonesboro, Arkansas, I have been treated with racial discrimination, and been the victim of racial favoritism. I was wrongfully terminated and then asked to come back ,at one point, so they could avoid the lawsuit, and not be liable for unemployment. .I have contacted my lawyer and I WILL be pursuing a lawsuit, my hours have been cut down to almost nothing, so that they are not liable for prosecution, however I can prove that these small amount of hours have absolutely nothing to do with my work performance, or my competence. I have recorded and documented every incident that has lead me to believe that these circumstances are racially motivated.

  136. I was in the Cheddar's in Norman OK on 7-9-14 @ 1:00 in the afternoon. Had a nice meal with my husband and son and after leaving realized I had left my phone on the table. I returned within 5 minutes and someone had cleaned the table and took my phone. The manager was very disinterested as were the waitstaff. I asked who cleaned the table and all they would say to me was "they said they didn't see it" ! I contend that if the bussers are ripping phones off then how much tip money is also being taken. If it was a patron, they would also have taken the $$ I left on the table!

  137. Hello, I will like to submit a personal complaint about the customer service received at Cheddars Restaurant Brandywine Maryland on Saturday August 2nd between the hours of 9:40pm. We went straight to the bar of the restaurant to avoid the long wait times. We noticed there were high top tables there as well. We asked a server near by what the policy for seating was and he told us it was on a first come first serve basis. Immediately we noticed there was a table that was about to be empty and proceeded to tell the guests of our intent to sit there when they left. They told us no one was waiting on their tables. We never left the area. When they left, we sat there waiting for our tables to be cleaned.
Waitress Jasmine comes over greeted us like she was taking care of the cleaning of the table for us but shocked us when she told us "actually, someone else already is waiting for these seats you will have to leave" In total dismay we told her we thought this was a first come first serve basis table but she insisted that's not the case. The guest beside us were so irate at what they saw that they confirmed this was not the right way to treat people and we called manager. We saw Manager Sonya and explained to her what happened. She even confirmed that was not right and did not take any further actions. She did not even come by to our table as she claimed. Long story short, it was the worst dinner I ever had as feelings of maltreatment filled my minds as we sat there waiting for the manager to address the issue but none was taken. I will not stop writing to the headquarters until I obtain proper address to this issue. Such behavior is uncalled for and no one should be expected to spend money at your restaurant to be favored over other friends.

  138. The Managers at Cheddars in Slidell , LA DO NOT know how to treat their employees. Rayley Bender pulls on our arms to get them to follow her to show us what she needs to get done at work, she has also MADE me work off of the clock ( that's against the law). I had a quest complain on Me who I personally knew outside of work the complaint was a complete LIE!!! So I went outside ( I was off the clock) to ask the quest why she lied to my manager and she punched me in the face my face began to bleed I walked back inside to tell my manager Rayley Bender and to show her my face I told her that I want to press charges on the quest her response was ( if you press charges on her I will fire you) so I didn't at the time, but than I did once they fired me. A couple months back the night of the shooting that took place I told the manager Matt to call the cops and he told me " I'm sure somebody did already" if he would of called the cops right than and there the fight wouldn't have prob. gotten as far as someone taking a gun out!! the managers treat you like you are their own personal slaves and they are nice when you do something for them, they don't acknowledge the rights things the employees do they only look at the wrong things, they need to leave their jobs because out of all the managers at that location theres only 3 managers who treat you like people sierra is one the nicest managers. kevin who is the G.M can kiss my ass because you don't fire the people who are actually doing their job and has bent over backwards for that company. you will never find a hard working employee like myself and rayley as a manager you would think to know that its not the right thing to do to put youre hands on youre employees like they are youre own personal puppy dogs. I hope yall managers from Slidell LA read this and learn from it. we are not yalls little bitches yall make so much more money than we do so don't talk to us like shit and don't treat us like shit and also don't think this complaint im making is the farthest im going because I'm just getting started... Yall fired the wrong person!
