My name is Roy Hannon I have the misfortune in having to deal with the East side store in Green Bay Wisconsin. I ordered a new garage door from them. I had my wife and even ran into my parents while I was there. I called my 22 year old son that was at my house and had him re measure the door just to make sure I had the right size. I ordered a 9X7 (standard size garage door) and had all of these people there with me, yet the woman ordered a 8X7 door. I picked it up then later to find out it was the wrong size, so I called the store and talked to the same person I ordered it from. She stated she has been working there for 12 years, she never makes mistakes. I asked to talk with the store manager, she refused to let me talk to him, she said I have to talk to him first. She called me back to tell me if I wanted the right size they were going to charge me a 50 PERCENT, A 50 PERCENT restock fee. What kind of company is this, my goodness, the money stores don’t rip you off this bad. Their people never make mistakes. I learned my lesson. I will never purchase anything ever again from this company
I wonder if Mr. Menard is aware of these complaints? If so I would think he would want his culture in every store corrected. Just left the store in Waukesha. Drove directly across the street to Home Depot. They took care of my request and I was out the door in under 15 minutes. Very simple concept. Treat people in the manner you would like to be treated.
I am not sure where you people live and your lifestyle, but seems to me you should treat the customer service with respect, the same that you expect. Most times you treat people with respect, it will be returned .I have found in life, you do not always get your way, grow up. Doug Duysen
I just made a purchase over $1000. There were special order elements on it. After ten days I contacted store 3179 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The order was never placed. The store manager stated that it was a new employee and he made a mistake. They stated that they would resubmit my order but it would be another ten days out. This placed me at a huge problem to get the project done in time. The store manager did not seem to care that I was put out or inconvenienced. There is absolutely NO ONE to speak live to about an issue or problem. I will make sure that I tell all of my family, friends, and coworkers NOT TO SHOP AT MENARDS ever again. In customer service, if you don't give good service, you won't have customers.

In my opinion, Menards does not treat their employees well which is probably why we all experience the poor service at most of their stores. Store employees treat the customers in the same manner they are treated and respected. For example the salaries are hardly above minimum wage. I also know of a situation where a college student was given a leave of absence for an Internship but when she went back to Menards she was told her job was no longer available. Another situation is when a male employee was off for hernia surgery his job was not available anymore when he recovered. Yet another situation is of a women employee experienced a house fire she was told she would be written up after she requested a few weeks off to clean up and regroup after her tragedy. My response is to consider what these employees must be going through working for Menards and be considerate of their struggle working in such an environment.
The recent discrimination case settlement, with no admission of doing anything wrong, solidifies my decision to stop shopping at Menards. I have previously noticed the absence of minority employees in so many of the stores in Minnesota. I will start to save big money in other stores! I will discontinue my shopping at Menards until I hear of changes in the hiring and promotional practices.

It is against the law to not have people of color in business. This sad but true. The best person for the job is not always the best person for the job, people of color come 1st. So why should some people of color go and get a degree to better them self when things are just handed to them. racism will never end until people of color let it end and if you think im white you are wrong....im a proud black man!

bought a brand new snow blower and the first snow, does not work. called Menards and was told its not there problem, send it to the repair service. I was a BIG TIME Menards guy.....Never again. They are the worst customer service I have ever delt with.
It depends on when you bought it. Within 30 days of purchase with a receipt, you could have returned it. After that, big products like that have an extended warranty plan offered by the company, not the store. So I can see why they would say that. I'm assuming you rephrased a lot, as well.

Actually, the extended protection plans are offered by the company so if anything goes wrong with the product in the time period the EPP gives you, you're able to bring it back to the store and get it replaced, no questions asked but you have to purchase the EPP in order for it to be valid... At least that's what I was suppose to tell people when I was employed by the joke of a company. I have never been treated so horrible at a place of employment like I was at menards... They are not accommodating at all to one with medical issues either! I used to like menards until I was employed by them and saw what jokes they are! I will never shop there again and I will spread the word how horrible they are to their employees!
The worst customer services ever!!!! I was told I had to go to the lumber dock to return a toliet. Once I left the lumber yard they had to search my car as if I had stole something. No sign posted they will have to search your car once you leave the lumber yard. Why?.
Because the lumber yard is a HIGH THEFT place. It's common. People will get a picking ticket, pay for it at the register, drive to the lumber yard to pick it up. They have to make sure they don't steal more than they paid for. Or they will leave a cart full of items in the Garden Center, not pay for it, drive to the lumber yard and put all the items in their car.

We just bought an LTV in ND near the state capital and after the 1st day heard horrible squealing when turning right so stopped immediately Have always been taught to break vehicles in slowly after checking 1st week elements Called 800 number that was provided on vehicle for problems and was told no longer was working with Mennards Called to speak to store manager got garden manager and was told could not return because had gas and oil was in it but it was DELIVERED with gas and oil. After further questioning, my husband was asked if he drove it around the store before buying it. This option was never mentioned when considering the purchase. When asked about service it was stated -no problem especially in the 1st 30 days. Is everyone getting a clear picture of a $3500.00 purchase plus tax and delivery After reading comments I am not hopeful of support but do know Mennards is the big loser since we are building a new home this year. Lowe s will be the recipient of a lot of business because of their stupidity I suggest that all dissatisfied customers call their State Attorney General . People only do what they are ALLOWED to do.
worst customer service ever, and when asked where a specific item is they told me I was crazy and didnt know what I was talking about. finally when I did find the item they claimed they didnt have I asked for a price check and he ripped the bag of sand so hard out of my cart it knocked my 1 year over. I will say IM NEVER going back ever!!!!
Recently purchased outdoor cushions. Inventory was low at 1 store....the sales person found more at the Naperville,ILstore. When I got there, Virginia said no one had called to check on inventory yet. However, Virginia.....scoped the upstairs and delivery area until she located the 2 I needed. It was later that I realized I was at the Plainfield store. Hats off to Virginia for all of her relentless help in locating my cushions. The store was very busy and many people wanted Virginia...I see why. Great employee, great service, great price.

I agree! Just bought a washer from Menard's in Lincoln, NE last week. Delivery guy had only been on the job 2 weeks. Showed up without a single tool! Couldn't shut water valve off with bare hands so he left. It was 2 days later when he came back to finish the job. Still no tools. The manager at the store said they aren't required to have tools. We live in a 2-story apt and our maintenance technician is the one who finally got new washer hooked up for us. No apology from Menard's for the delay, inconvenience, or the way this impacted our family. No more of our dollars will be spent at Menard's!
Horrible customer service. bought a tiller and put gas in it. Went to start if for the first time. The rope didn't work. Brought it back and they refused to replace it since I had put gas in it. I explained that I just bought it and it doesn't work. The manager in Elkhorn,Nebraska said there was nothing he could do. Worst treatment ever from a home improvement store.
Advertisement fraud all the time on items at Menard's ADVERTING ITEMS THEY DO NOT HAVE, ADVERTISING THESE ITEMS IN STOCK AT THE STORE YOU ARE GOING TO. When you get there they tell you it's discontinued sold out and refuse to make good of the item, even after you make them bring it up on websight and its still available at that price for weeks.Seems like fraud to me, the store blames Corporate, Corporate refuses to speak with you on phone.
I bought a washer/dryer from Menard's in Sidney, OH and the dryer was damaged upon delivery so the delivery guy tells me it's damaged and asks if I want it? Told him no I didn't pay for a damaged/broken new dryer. Said the Delivery Coordinator was looking for a replacement but found out this unit was discontinued and they said I could get a refund. Told him I don't want a refund I was a new dryer and if this model was discontinued then I want the new model that took its place....of course nothing took its place!!! Told him then I want another unit comparable to what I bought @ no extra charge and they said they can't do that......I can "buy" another one but would have to pay the difference....After arguing with the G.M. for 20 minutes I finally told him I would figure out what I wanted and will call back. I want to talk to someone from the Corporate office!!!!

I bught a new mower with extended protection plan, and I used it 6 times and it would not start. so i was told to take it in and i did knowing that this mower was running rich and the carb needed to be ujusted, (spark plug was gummed up). they told me to take in to a place and i did this place changes spark plug and calls me that it is done and i ow them $32. i could of done this, but if a spark plug is bad after 6 hours of running somethig is wrong, so i call Menards and thay tell me that this place that i took my mower do,s not servise ther mowers then y would tell me to take there when i called with this problem and now i have to pay for somthing that was nothing but a quick fix. this was in Manitowoc WI, think twice before buying, me on other hand I sould of gotten the mower a Fleet Farm.
You all should come to the wyoming store in MI we have the best customer service and will treat u the way u deserve we love people and are there to serve u. :) sorry for all your troubles not all menards are bad.
Discrimination seems to follow suit in all locations. The Fox Lake, Illinois area is just as bad. Rude, watched and picked on your way out because we are hispanic. So sad that this continues to be an issue in a big corporate retail establishment like Menards. What is management doing to stop this? Nothing at all...

Worst customer service ever. Do not try to contact a ROY vie E- Mail. Once he has responded to you he will not respond to you any more. I E-Mailed the company asking to speak to a supervisor NO RESPONSE. ROY must be their only customer service rep. or the whole company does'nt care.
Menards is a fraud. I returned some products without a receipt the supervisor was there approved it with no problem. Two days later went to use the credit they froze it when I call corporate they say they need info to look up the receipt, 2 months they can't find the receipt won't give my product back or credit. Refuse to let speak to a supervisor or manager. Keep asking for more info if I had the receipt I would of got cash back then. Very rude never return phone calls. I just want my product back, but guess the company needs money so they rip their customers off, they give me my product or credit. My company does business with Home Depot and Lowes now. Horrible Customer Service

I will NEVER purchase another item from menards. We spent alot of cash just to be aggrevated. 1st they didn't ring up 2 items & a delivery chg then didn't bother calling us about it then I had to pay more for the items & delivery(ok understandable) but then they are suppose to deliver between 12 & 6 pm guess what showed up at 10 am nope no one home. Suppose to call before leaving the yard guess what no call. If items are missing won't be there to chk be4 driver leaves. If u want better ervice go to Lowes. I knw I will be.

I am an employee at Menards Hillside, IL (the store is closing).. I have to say that I have never encountered a guest who was disppointed with my service. I apologize to you all for the bad service.
I worked for the Holland, MI and Valparaiso, IN for 9 years total (although I don't anymore). And most people who have complaints like this are not telling the whole story. About 99% of these problems are actually because the guest has done something wrong, and not the store. I've seen some pretty sketchy things that people have done to try to screw the company over...
I apply for a job at the store in Plover Wi. In March 2012 an the Human Resouce dept.said they would look at the applacations an I should call back in a week which I did an they said that all the Departments would go thur them an they would call me if there was a opening an I called every week there to see if there was a job an they said not yet they would so I stop by one time an ask for that department HR. an I said they have interview 200 people an hired 50 where am I he said still looking at them I said since I apply my job form has come to the top more then once an he said yes it probably did an then why no call he said who ever looked at it put it under the pile that is not right that is discrimination to the people that are older all they have hired are young people not older ones an that is not right I was going to drive all that way to work for them I don't think ever again they are History.

I WILL NOT be frequenting the Menards in Chillicothe, Ohio EVER again. We're in the process of remodeling our bathroom, we ordered a vanity and vanity top online on 08/04/12. Received an email on 08/13/12 saying my order was in and ready to be picked up. My husband drove the 35 miles (one way) to pick them up. The vanity was there, but not the top. They said the top would be in the 17th. We called on the 17th, no vanity top. I received and email last night 08/19/12 saying my item was at the store awaiting pick up. My husband makes the journey again and was told it wasn't there again! I went online and checked my order # with the "Order Status" and it said it was at the store as well. From now on I will take all of my business to Lowe's.Than you very much!
So you can drive 35 miles one way but don't have enough time to pick up the phone and have them physically verify that the top is there? One would think this would be the first thing you do after it happened once before.
I work at a menards and it sounds like you folks have had pretty bad experiences, at the location I work at I can tell you that all of the things you described happening would not have happened at my store. I know its not worth a lot because im not some higher up guy, I am just a part timer but for the troubles you have had I apologize on behalf of menards everywhere. I had Menard's do a design and provide a full bill of materials for a dropped ceiling. I was informed that it was a special order item and that there is a 25% restock fee for returning those items. I also assumed that when you have Menard's do the design and provide the BOM, that is will be accurate and that they will stand behind it. When the materials arrived we picked them up and began our project. The tiles could not be placed around the edges of the room (if they had to be cut) as the pattern on them would not lay in tracking. When I asked about this at Menard's I was told that they were not aware of this as the training from the manufacture did not cover this. After I reviewed the Menard's document on this I found a tile referred to as a "Border Fill" tile. This is what I now need to finish my project.I went back to Menard's to exchange and was told there would be a 25% restock fee. I explained that Menard's did the design and gave me the full and complete (I thought) Bill of Materials. After pressing they offered to reduce this to 15%. The store manager wouldn't even come talk to me, his department manager had to deal with this while talking to him on the phone. Message to Menard's: You spend thousands on marketing to bring customers into your store and attract new customers. Yet, when you make a mistake on a design you are not willing to waive a $200 restock fee to keep a customer that buys from you every month. If I have to pay your restock fee to exchange my materials, when I leave your store that day it will be the last time. My contact information is in your system if you care to fix this issue, if not I'll simply drive to Home Depot going forward.Best regards.
I also agree, bought a yard barn for me to build. 2 1/2 weeks later a guy knocks on my door to drop items off. I ask for it to be put in my driveway. he "drops" it in my yard breaking 3 of the trusses and bending some metal items too. 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for the correct parts to be delivered. not to mention the quality of the wood and how it's put together. sounds like I need to give up on getting some type of compensation or help.btw everything else is cheaper and better at the other 2 big lumber stores!I will never go back and I will tell others the same

We purchased a garage package from Menards. The package was supposed to include a window. We did not get any window. Called Menards and they were rude to say the least, and said they would special order use one. This was their mistake as the window was part of the garage package. Also parts were missing, and they again were rude, saying it was our fault somehow that it had not been ordered. When I buy a package deal that states all that is included in it I expect it all to be delivered as such. Managers were shockingly rude and obnoxious. When we stated that we would call corporate to see if we could get better service they laughed and said "tell them I said hello would you". Ha ha. Worst customer service we have ever ever encountered. Never will we purchase anything from Menard's again due to their horrible customer service..

My name is steven suarez (36595)store number 3198, Millwork Dept. Mgr. I was fired from my job at Menards of 12 years for "concealing merchandise" (that is what my termination papers stated). I had set aside some merchandise to buy as christmas gifts a couple weeks ago. I was waiting for my Holiday bonus (approx $238) to come in the mail but it didnt. So on Saturday morning ,Dec 1, I purchased some items and put everything else I didnt buy back on the shelf ( i have a receipt) Come monday afternoon (december 3), There were NOT any items that I had set aside, used for the Day after thanksgiving sale. Here is my invoice , the proof of when I paid for the merchandise CICR23810 I was terminated for this merchandise that I had paid for 2 days before. To top it all off, because I was fired before December 15th I do not get my instant profit sharing bonus approx $7000 and I am not going to receive my manager bonus (approx $7000). I am married and have to support my 3 daughters. I really needed this to pay off some loans for my wedding (married october 6,2012). I would like to see what can be done in regards to my bonuses. Well you can't blame the stores, They know you can't complain because corporate is unreachable so it gives them the right to treat customers as they see fit. Returns hurt their bottom line which means hurt bonuses and their bosses comming to the store to find out why sales are down.
I am an ex employee of Menards and I just had a baby and i was supposed to get a holiday bonus for working hard and over 1,000 hours and since i went on maternity leave i DONT get my bonus.. it hurts to know that having a baby costs people their holiday bonus. I will not recommend Menards to ANYONE!!!!

Well We got a approved Menards Charge card late in Octoberafter Menards quote my spec house that included a "MaterialList" and quote per spec per print.The salesman Robert P from South Haven Menards , is a used car salesmand at best, he shipped out wrong materialbad material rate was 15-20% not usable per my framer.The ship out material free of charge then they charge you anyway also the have Picking Tickets that is 4/5 digit number large bold font, but no invoice #. When you get a statement from them it has a large invoice # , Guess what you cannot cross reference those numbers and 3 times onlydid they staplle those 2 together. The manager of commercial dept, told me to come into the store and print out Invoices for 1 hour. guess what they dont match the pick ticket infact after having a independant and myself do a field count they overbilled my account over 3,500.00 in material we did not get and also shipped other material to other jobsites and then billed my account.Bill the main store manager acted like he has never had this happend once in 14 years, then they did not even supply the materials list that they promissed, be carefull.They are not honest people and greed is expensive !!!!After my 4 meeting with them they even confessed to the extra charges of material for other accounts, but thenwill not credit the material we did not get.Pick a supplier that knows building and materials,do not go with low bid, no matter how low !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know a few people who work at this dump of a company aka Menards in Wyoming, Mi. One of the guys specifically has worked there for 8 years and is now trying to go to law school. The general manager has told him that they won't work with his school schedule and said that Menards doesn't encourage employees to go to school...WHAT A GREAT COMPANY....NOT!!!!

I walked in there tonight, 3/18/2013 It's freezing out. I'm in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I go in there because I'm in the process of inventing something. So naturally I'm just wandering around looking for things that may or may not work.I have never, in my entire life, been profiled like I have at this store. Yes I mean I was walking around with a friend discussing the idea, looking for parts that would work (As I've never been there before I do not know where a single thing is)The whole thing started when the Manager a fella named Ben, and some big boy named John were just staring at us. I got a little annoyed being started at so I pointed at the gentleman. Manager Ben Walked up and asked if we needed help, Without telling him exactly what I'm trying to invent I asked for a few pieces that might help. HE could not help me one bit, So I said I'd continue to just look around, thanks for the help. I was looking for a switch like object so I made my way over to the light area, where I turn around and here's John just staring at us, Clearly, he had nothing better to do, (All the shelves must have been stalked for that week.) Anyways I didn't find what I needed so I continue on my way to the next isle, and begin walking up every isle to find what I could possibly use. Here's John, following us up the side isle on the complete other side of the store radioing in where me and my friend where walking to. Another gentleman came up and asked if we needed help. No I said. Continue on my way. 5 minutes later, another guy, walks up, "Do you need help" Nope. I still don't need help thanks. 2 minutes later, another guy (Nathan) asked, "Do you need help" No sir I still don't need help. I continue over to the dremal isle, where John is still following us, radioing in where we were. Here comes john again, You guys need help? No John. I still don't need help.
(Mind you i was in the store all but 25 minutes tops) I walked up to john and asked, Why are you following us. I'm not stealing anything. Why are you profiling us. Instead of just being honest he had to lie, "I'm not following you." I asked what isle he works in, Apparently he works in Isle "Store" Okay. yada yada, I got harrassed the entire time I was there, Profiled from the second I walked in. Asked roughly 12 times in a matter of, at most 25 minutes, if I needed help. I don't know how many times I need to tell someone I do not need help but it shouldn't be more than once. Specially from the same guy. Specially the same 3 people. When I asked why they kept coming up and asking me, one of the guys said. I'm was told to see if you needed help. SIR IF I DIDN'T NEED HELP 5 MINUTES AGO. WHY WOULD YOU THINK I NEED IT NOW? What part of I'm just looking around do you not understand.
Absolutely worst experience of my entire life. Never have I ever been treated this way inside a store. How do inventors or anyone that's just walking wasting time manage to walk around these stores? I know for a fact I was not the only person in there just wandering around. There were many people in there, so Why me? Because they profile. Do not go to this store if it's cold and you want to be comfortable and wear sweatpants. Dress rich. Because apparently 40 dollar sweatpants makes you look like a homeless man going into menards to steal pvc tubing and light switches. I'd rate this 0 stars but it wont let me. BS never again. I'll go to Lowes or Home Depot.Matter of fact I have friends that work at Menards, when I asked him he said they are trained to do this. Now I worked at Kmart for a period and yes you are trained to walk up and ask customers if they need help, But not follow them isle to isle. Making it rather obvious you are following them, and them get on the radio to report what isle they are in, and say it loud enough so the person can here you. And then if the person confronts you about it. Why lie? GO stalk some shelves or something. NEVER, WILL, I, EVER, GO, TO, THIS, BS, STORE, AGAIN..Screw John, Ben, Nathan (who wasn't that bad) Unfortunately he was forced to come stalk me, but he made it clear he didn't want to be doing it. There was also a balding pedophile looking guy (If you're going to profile me I'm going to profile you) I'm not sure if BEN is even a legal citizen. And John I'm sure is dying of diabetes.
I live in the land of Menards (Eau Claire, WI) and no one who works there or knows anyone who works there has one good thing to say about the company. John Menard is pompous and selfish - Menards does not sponsor or assist any local activities or charities. Any time that a piece of land is available that Home Depot could build on, Menard's buys it up and then resells it to someone that won't compete. My personal experience with the quality of their products came two years ago when I remodeled my bathroom. I had a very hard time finding tile that I liked, and finally found something acceptable at Menards. The tile installer had a terrible time with it, saying it was not square, and some were warped. I had to buy many extra pieces just so he could match them up and finish the job. I then found out that Menard's buys factory seconds, but does not advertise the products as such. So while I might buy certain items there, never again anything like tile, carpet, cabinets, countertops, etc. If I wanted to buy factory seconds, that is what I would have been looking for in the first place.
I love menards we shop there at least 4 times a week.davison mich. we love this store never had an issue friendly staff and helpful.and people its hard to work for the public some people are so rude and hard to deal with. If you feel your not getting anywhere with the person who is helping you then ask for a manager dont yell throw a fit or shop at lowes
I work for the United Methodist Church in Torrington Wy. Tryd to get help with tax exemption forms, customer service at the closest store would not help or would they give me a phone number to call for help. I went on line and there are no customer service numbers any where to call for help. I thought i had made a mistake so i called every number that was shown, several in WI,when i thought id get to talk to some one i would get cut off. worst out fit ive ever seen. You lost My business and the Church's

I am no longer a fan of Menards. Had issues today, waited 45 minutes to get a door down so I could purchase is at the Davison, MI store. There was only one person certified to use the equipment needed, he was busy unloading a truck and I was told I had to wait until he was finished. After he had finished he disappeared and I had to wait longer. When I called to complain, the message said to press "22" for manager, couldn't because I got a message that the call couldn't go through, then it said to press "0" for account payable, their mailbox was full, then is said to hit "0" again and it said the number wasn't valid. I tried calling their guests services number at headquarters and you can only complain by fax or mail, guess what if you listen to the message she gives you the wrong number either the first or the second time, because when she repeats it, it is not the same. I see a trend, not a fan. Lowes and Home Depot are just as close.

Menards 11% rebate is a sham! You only get 16 days to get it in or they will not honor it. Such huge marketing and advertising butno mention of the short rebate window. To add insult to injury, the last date is a Tuesday 4 days before the end of the month!The Wisconsin AG is getting a formal complaint about Menards' unethical business practices.
I tried to follow up on a rebate refund worth almost $20 that I had not received. Local store said contact Corporate. Told to send in. Sent in with copy of sales receipts. No reply. Called, told to fill out form online again. Did. No response after several weeks so called again. Told they must not have gotten the rebate form. Could not be accurate since two different rebate offers were enclosed in the same envelope. One way paid a month earlier. Posted a complaint online a wa-la, today a check comes in the mail. Guess public humiliation with verification gets them to fulfill their offers. BTW. Menards will not honor duplicate copies of sales receipts to substantiate your claim of purchase. Suggestion to all who intend to request rebates. Copy your sales slips w/rebate verification before deleting to send in. As well as the rebate slip itself. I think that is what finally got me my rebate.
The home office for Menards is in WI and I know for a fact that the WI Dept. of Consumer Affairs takes such things seriously. Do us all a favor and write your letter. Shake those "suits" up a little.
Shopped at a Mernards in my hometown, and when I was paying for the merchandise I ask the checkout girl did they give Military veterans a discount. I told her that Lowes & Home depot gives aleast a 10% discount on anything a veteran buys (with proof)he or she is a veteran. I Gave 100% when my country called on me to serve, why can't Mernards give veterans 10% like Lowes,home depot and alot of other places do for veterans, and not just on veterans day, flag day or any other holiday! Veterans served 365 days a year, not just on holidays. ALL veterans should boycott Mernards stores!!! You can get the same prices at Lowes & home depot + 10% on all merchandise.

I purchased a portable shed on Oct.23. It was supposed to be delivered on Oct. 28.No shed. I emailed both Menards and Shelter Logic. They both said they would look into it. No response. I sent at least 3 emails to both companies. No response from either. Come on guys, all I want is an estimated shipping date. You didn't have any problem charging my card $411. The most common courtesy is to at least respond to show you care at least a little about your customers. Don't expect to get any more of my business in the future. Either of you. Poor way to run a business. I guess I'm out $400 but I won't go quietly. What morons
Was at Miller Parkway Store in West Allis, Wisc on 11/21/13 looking for the butane lighters on sale. Couldn't find them so I asked sales person, all he said was "plumbing" and walked away. Still couldn't find them. Asked another sales person who actually showed me where they were. When I checked out, I stopped at service desk and asked why the lighters couldn't also be placed near the large candle display which is where women would look for them. . 1 of the service personnel said that was a great idea and would mention it. Spoke with main service desk person and asked why lighters couldn't also be placed by the candles. Her response, "I don't decide where merchandise is put". She could have cared less. Customer service - not at this store. I hate dealing with this store and their non-service service personnel.

Menard's sucks. Livonia, Michigan Plumbing Manager was incredibly rude. We were speaking to the Assistant Store manager about their lack of help and he butted in and said that "there was someone waiting for two hours and he didn't care!" Told me if we wanted more help at the store that "we" should come up with the money to train people!
Had some decking lumber delivered to my step daughter. The people who delivered were not just rude but were angry and used horrifying language. They repeatedly called her a mother f____r and "here's your f____ing shit". It was an appalling experience. Don't ever shop at the Moline IL store....EVER! These people must be on PCP. WARNING....DON'T EVER SHOP AT THE MOLINE IL STORE.

When I called customer service at Menards corporate office, they transferred me to a recording. Upon calling back to request someone to speak with as opposed to a recording, I was told Menards does not conduct business face-to-fact or person-to-person but rather all concerns must be sent to their office in writing. Menard's attitude: to hell with the customer. We don't want to hear from you!! I will not be shopping at Menards in the future. I will take my business to another store where my concerns and questions can be addressed in a friendly and personable manner!! Menards is a total loser!
Good Morning,I just had the unpleasant experience of visiting your store location. I was purchasing an air conditioning unit which was CLEARLY marked at the price of $229.00. After speaking to several rude and condescending employees, I spoke with Shawn who was actually very polite and well mannered however my complaint was still not addressed. It is not a customers' responsibility to ensure that items are marked correctly, that is your stores' responsibility. My husband and I were given the impression that your staff thought we switched prices on the unit. I asked for the cameras to be checked and was given no response to that. As a result of this unprofessionalism, your store lost a sale and a customer. We have spent thousands of dollars at Mendards and would have spent more since we invest in properties and frequently update homes. I have attached the picture of the clearly marked item below. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau
anonymousI have been to a few Menards in a in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin but I have never received customer service as poor and disrespectful as in Spencer Iowa. I has purchased a trailer and realized my ball on my hitch was to small and I had to purchase a new one and the person who helped me was very disrespectful. I was under the impression I was under his time. The person that helped me outside was very intoxicated and was smoking as he was helping me with my situation. What other business would let there employees smoke and help with quests at the same time that is very un professional and I will never do business with any of there companies again and I now a lot of people that do business there and they have the same disrespect at Menards as I do
