  1. I live in Tulsa OK and on 1/30/12 at 12:00pm, I visited store #31522and I had the L1. That had to be the worst food I have ever received from one of your stores. The cole slaw tasted and looked old. The fish and fries were cold and I could squeeze out a spoon of grease off the fish. I will never ever visit that store location again.

  2. I live in Co and visited the LJS, 250 W 136th Ave 80234 on 3-4-12. The absoulet WORST 'fast food' experience ever!! All my family and I got was deep fried batter! Beware the commercials where they show an actual FISH FILLET! You will get a small, nugget size, over cooked portion of fish in about 1/2 lb of greasy nasty batter. Everything else (the sides) WERE JUST AS BAD. 'Pop-Corn' shrimp my ass! Pop-Corn batter is more like it. I got a side of fried shrimp. I was a nasty mess of mushy gross! UGH! Will NEVER eat at any LJS, ANYWHERE!!!!

  3. I visited yr location in plano, texas and it was horrible. I ordered the fresh fish which is grilled talpia or salmon. My salmon had the texter of an overcooked piece of chicken. It was like eating fishy rubber. My sides were cold and the popcorn shrimp that my children had was all breading and no shrimp. I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes and ended up with nasty food. This is the last time that I eat long john silver.

  4. We eat at Long John Silvers on a regular basis and the one in Urbandale, Iowa at 7421 Douglas Avenue has always been our favorite until about 6 weeks ago. We stopped at the take-out window after ordering 2 #15 combos, we proceeded home and when we opened the bag we had chicken instead of fish. I called and talked to "BRUCE" the manager and explained the situation. He was very polite and said he would send coupons in the mail. A week later I called "BRUCE" again and again he assured me he would send coupons, that was 3 weeks ago. So if you have a problem, don't expect anything from them. We will not go to any LJS again if their policy is to lie to customers.

  5. Went to Long John Silvers on highway 20 in Canton Texas. Not only a dirtyplace manager was completely rude. She was rude to her customers she was rude to us my husband and me. She was mean to her employees. How can you people let somebody like that manager work for you. I will never go there again,This is. The 3 rd time we have been there this was the last time.she needs some training in social sklills

  6. I visited the Long John Silvers (Store# 31086)1330 Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana. EVERYTIME I order from this restaurant there is a problem with my order i.e. either the sides are cold/old, the fish and shrimp are beyond greasy, what I ordered is not what I receive. The manager, Shawn Brown, is incredibly rude and has no people skills whatsoever! It amazes me how some people are promoted into management, customer service is key when dealing with the public! I actually spoke with the District Manager, Willie York, who actually offered little or no assistance. As a customer who received chicken instead of fish on my order, it was just a waste of $6.51. I advise and will continue to tell my fellow co-workers to avoid eating LJS at all costs!

  7. Went to long johns and the service was great but the chicken sandwiches were hard as a rock. It was the buns. I go there all the time. It was in Marion Ohio store. If they get that way please thow them away.

  8. I live in Laredo tx and the last time I went to yor restaurant it was disgusting!!!!! Today I went back after many years and again it was disgusting!!!! Your manager rolled her eyes as I was ordering because a customer complained. Now she's standing talking to her employees and making constant at the lady who complained! Her employees as well look miserable working here and I'm having a bad experience. I will never return and you guys should do humanity a favor and close your stores!!!!!

  11. This LJS at 1414 N Town East Blvd. Mesquite, Texas is one of the worst to get the order right. It's been a year the last time Iv'e been there, and I made the mistake of returning 08/13/2012. I really think these people are on a mission to allow their store to fail, but I may be wrong. It may be as simple as people just bolwing off what they didn't get in their order or not saying their order was wrong or just don't have the time to ask " WHY " and LJS wins evertime. The more everyone allows them to get away with wrong orders the more they'll keep doing it over and over. All I wanted was my order to be correct. After all, I did pay for it and now I will ask my credit card company to dispute the charges and I'll never return to that store.

  15. My first meal at LJS was in 1983. I enjoyed it very much. I have been waiting for LJS to bring back the Fish and Chips they marketed several years ago. I can say the fish and chip meal I was served was perfect. I also use to enjoy the clams, before they were changed. I don;t care for the new clam breading.

  16. I live in Suffolk, Va. We have one Long John Silver here. It is a ok place to eat. Usely the service is ok. I visted Dec.29 around 2:30. I sat and ate my food. When I got to the coleslaw it taste so bad I could not chew my first bit. I eat there often. I never tasted the coleslaw like that before. I finished my meal, and went to order a single piece of fish to go. The person behind the counter looked at me like what do u want I ask for a fish to go and I said u might want to check the coleslaw it tasted a little funny. She said in nasty manner its made fresh each day. I said I don't know it taste a little funny. She came from behind the counter and publicly asked everyone in place is your cloeslwaw ok. One customer looked at me and shook his head. I said see how we ask when someone tries to help. The woman identified herself as the mannager, and yelled at me until I left the store. She was distured looking when I first saw her. People like this should not be allowed to work in the public. Very short fuse.

  17. We have been eating at Long John Silvers for over 20 years and love it. Unfortunately almost all of the restaurants in Minnesota have closed. Only 2 left, and they are to far away to drive to. What a shame, and no one can tell us why they are closing. There is no place to get fish/chicken & chips. Eaten in moderation, there is no problem in eating fried foods. can anyone tell me why these stores have all closed? Thanks for any info. Sincerely, Craving Fish & Chips

  18. I have worked at store number 23, in Indiana. that . is ran by hey very unprofessional manager. it seems more like high school then a good job. I've never met a manager that was more concerned about her cell phone then the customer service. I am surprise that that store is still running!

  19. I went to the LJS on SW Freeway in Houston TX and bought the 8 piece family meal to go. When I got home n tasted the cole slaw I thought I was going to vomit. I tried calling the store and their phone # is not a good number. I called other LJS stores around the area and the phone #s weren't good either....only got a message that phone has been disconnected. i called the corporate office and it sounded busy. Do they have a good working number? If it was not raining and dark, I would go and complain. But i will definitely save and take it tomorrow so someone can tell me if they sold spoiled cole slaw to so many people.....I cant believe they dont have a mananger or someone tasting the food before selling it.

  20. Years ago, I called to ask if Long John Silver's had removed trans fats from their menu. I was told YES, trans fats were gone. Then I found LJS's nutrition info online. The trans fat amounts posted are through the roof. I switched to a different fish restaurant until LJS's gets rid of trans fats.

  21. We went Long John Silvers on 92 highway in Dandridge, Tenn.
    The staff has always been awful except for when they first opened. We ordered fish and got chicken. My husband didn't realize it was chicken and I picked it up to break it up for the kids, seeing that it was chicken he then took it back. What really grossed us out was they put the chicken back in the ben to sale to another customer. I have worked in resturants and this is totally unexceptable. They are putting people at risk. They were suppose to have thrown the food away. I have always been told you never serve food that another customer has received ever!!!!!!!! It is to be disposed of!!!!!!
    So if they are doing this what else are they doing!!!
    Why are the staff clean, their uniforms look like they haven been washed in a week.

  22. I visited the ljs in Washington pa. No matter when u go to this establishment the food is so gross. It' s cold, greasy not to mention the restaurant itself is filthy. Does anyone from corporate come to visit these places. I will never step foot into that place again!!!! Prices are to high for food that taste like shit.

I don't have a complaint, I am a little angry though that you don't have any LJS restaurants in the area of Salt lake city or suburbs. vI don't know what these people are complaining about ,m but if they are whining about the good then maybe they need to think of just going some place else if the food is not to their liking, Corrective criticism in telling what the issue is than giving negative criticism. I wish if you are thinking places to put your restaurants that you do here the area has none, and I am sure that there would be plenty of people that would be happy to peruse the menu at your stores and maybe eat there if there were any here, I used to live in Reno, Nevada and the one store on Kitzkei lane was always good, Every place is going to be different, some managers may care or not, as will employees, Like i said , or if I didn't if your considering new locales for your places look into the Salt lake area or surrounding countries as none are in this area, I am not sure you people read these, but I just hope you do.

  24. my fiance had just started 2 work for long john silvers he was there for only 3 days an hour in a half in2 his 4th day he was fired they say that he did not have any experiance to work the fryers this is a fast food joint an they r supposed 2 train ppl well come 2 find out his boss fired him because they had gotten a work verification form from welfare an he was fired for that i am sorry but this is discrimination people an u can look at it any way u wat 2 an it is still discrimination

I live in Bakersfield and I frequant the store on Mt Vernon Street, I will never ever again patronize this buisness, for a year on and off they have yet to get the order right, and i have yet to get frys with my order, always double hush puppies, management seems to not care when you notify them. What has become of this place that used to be "used to be" a great place. Now its all grease, no frys, and lack of good customer service, if this place goes under they can't blame it on the ecomonmy, they can blame it on there lack of product and customer service and bad management. Just my opnionion...............

  27. I live in amarill tx. I went to the one on pierce st. the 4 dallor add a meal is a joke. Why have ad's on tv for buy one meal and add as many as you want for 4 bucks a piece when its not. No product to serve every time we go. Think ill just be part of the billons serve with the clown. I have years of management and running a good store start with some kind of service to the public.   28. i work at taco bell long john silvers in jasper ga there is why to much gender discreamnatation at this store i try my best to give the customers the best food i can cook there are so many problems with manangement team they dont care about the employes i have been there 5 years and each time core comes in i always pass thing is what i teach cooks other managers say is wrong i am by the book core even says that i am by the book i need info and traning material to pass on to my cooks that my bosses wont give me

Went to the new Long John Silvers in Seymour,TN. this weekend, pulled into the parking lot and theres a guy in the Black Uniform embraced with a girl and right in front of the main parking lot by the front door entrance they are making out and going at it like they need to get a room!!!, theres also another guy in Black uniform standing there with them watching. Ok, so I go in anyway, the floors inside in the kitchen are just FILTHY, the kitchen prep and holding area looks so dirty I almost turn around and leave, there are 2 couples inside eating, place was not busy,
    ( Wonder why!? ) and all the 5 or 6 people ( employees ) standing around are in the Black uniform but the fronts of their shirts and all around the front and back pockets of their slacks are just FILTHY, It looks like they had food on their hands and crammed their hands in their pockets when they were dirty. And of course then wiped them off on their shirt. I bet it wont take long for the restaurant inspector to pay them a visit!!

We eat at Long John Silvers but the one located in Brandon Florida Store # 31423 818 W Brandon Blvd. the outside is run down looks to be falling apart, and has 2 Auto's parked on the lot, one a Ford Ranger Pickup that's been there at least 2 months, has flat tires and is jacked up with jacks, and the other an old Chevy, looks like it has not run in a while, why would they let these old nasty auto's be parked on the lot, this even adds to the building looking do bad and in need of revising and paint and more. The drive threw are is so old and hard to get into it, and the pavement or parking lot is so bumpy and holes in the payment, makes it an eye sore. Does anyone inspect the restaurants and have a check list, if so they must have forgotten this restaurant.

  34. I spoke with the local manager and then emailed the Supervisor of the area for LJS. The fast-food places in Clarksburg, WV need more employees and a cleaner facility. It is disgusting on both sides of the counter. I will not go back to either location until I hear from the District Manager or other customers tell me it has improved. Get you act together or go out of business. That may happen if there is no improvement in the coming year.

  37. I could not believe how greasy the food was. I could not eat it.Used lots of napkins to soak up the oil and did not get much of it out. Also since the girls swept constantly why could they store not buy some paint and clean up the store some. I got bit by some bug on my foot while eating and do not want to ever go back to eat again. What a waste of money Ocala Fl.

    Two nights in a row, I have attempted eating at the Long John Silver's in St. Joseph, MO. The customers inside ALL turned to me immediately upon entering and said, in essence, "Plan to be here a while." I was. It was thirty minutes before I got my order. The fries had clearly been thawed and re-frozen at some point - a major health-code violation. The fish had to be gnawed it was so overcooked, and there was only one hush puppy when there should have been two. The girl who took my order was unkempt, missing all but one brown tooth (VERY unappetizing), and was wearing a uniform that was filthy; as was every other employee there. The floors, doors, tables, counter tops, and what I could see of the areas behind the counter were filthy. For some reason, I optimistically convinced myself that it was just perhaps a busy night and that things may be different the next night. However, the next night was far worse... The entire place was even dirtier (if that were possible), yet there was only one small family in the restaurant - besides myself. Two of the three people behind the counter were just standing there. The no-toothed girl was still there. While staring eye-to-eye for more than 45 seconds (I counted), with another girl and waiting for her to acknowledge me, I watched a 4th girl in the kitchen haphazardly toss the large order for the family onto the dirty "stainless" staging area. A hush puppy fell off, she watched it roll to the floor, and then began playing with her fingernails - apparently not interested in replacing it. Finally, the comatose girl who had been swapping stares with me frustratedly said, "What do you want?" I told her that a hush puppy just rolled off the other customer's plate, and that I too had been missing a hush puppy the night before. She just looked at the no-toothed girl and said - angrily - "You take his order." At that point another girl (with even dirtier clothes than the first two), appeared from the back area and began complaining while fumbling with some buttons on the drive-thru register. The no-toothed girl just stood there. I finally explained that the night before had not been a pleasant experience either, that I missed a hush puppy, that someone should replace the other family's dropped hush puppy, take some interest in getting their food to them, and that I would like a 2-piece fish basket. She just smiled and stared like she didn't understand the language I was speaking. After yet another uncomfortably long period of silent staring, she finally said, "So you want one hush puppy?" I calmly said, "No. Let's try this again," and repeated my order. She did say she was sorry about last night, but no effort was made to rectify it. Meanwhile, the other girl who had taken her place at the drive-thru window was clearly becoming angrier, and had ceased pressing buttons or acknowledging anyone in the drive-thru. After I got my food (which ultimately turned out to be worse than the same meal the night before), I got to my vehicle - only to decide to go back in after all and ask for the previous night's missing hush puppy. I stood at the counter for nearly 5 minutes watching as the rude girl who had refused to take my order the first time took up residence at the drive-thru, proceeded to ignore me entirely, and uncaringly said, "Hold on," to whoever was waiting at the drive thru microphone outside, while she slowly miscounted the same few dollar bills three times in a row. Two other employees made eye contact with me in that time, but no one bothered to even acknowledge my existence. I turned to two other patrons who had been waiting behind me for an order that no one appeared to be working towards completing, and they said, "Yeah, we know. It's always like this." I left.... Not only will I not be back, but I will be reporting this place first thing Monday morning to the health department.

    I ordered 3 meals from Long John Silvers at 132nd and Maple in Omaha NE on 10-25-13. My husband brought it home for dinner. What I would like to know is, what happened to the hush puppies you make now? They tasted terrible! We have been ordering them for over 40 yrs. And have never tasted so bad. We always order extra hush puppies, but not anymore. We do not know if it was just a bad batch or if the whole recipe has changed. Our meal was $32. I do not want to pay for another meal to find out the same thing. I know in Omaha many of your restaurants have closed. Is this why?

  42. I worked at lgs #1125 until last night whwn I walk off do to the way the gm spoke to me as an employee. I have never had a manager speak to me the way he did. I was a manager for another company before joining the lgs crew, and I never spoke to my employees or other managers the way I was spoken to last night. That was totally wrong to have a manager cursing at you to do something, while your doing something and others are standing around doing nothing. I hope they fix it before others do the same as me.

  43. My husband & I went to the store in Springdale, Arkansas. We have never had an issue until tonight with one of the employees there! He was EXTREMELY RUDE! My husband asked him a ? About the shrimp he looked @ him like he was an idiot & said, "I know what the sign says sir!" But we dont have it, when in fact they did have it he was just unfamiliar with the product! Then an elderly lady asked for coleslaw & fries with her order & he stood there & argued with her that she ordered corn, another lady seeing she was getting all upset tried helping her out & he stated I dont care what she wants, she said corn!! I am currently disabled but before that spent almost 20 years in customer service 8 of which were in management & if one of my emplyees displayed that conduct in any way shape or form they would have been terminated instantly! !! He has no business working with customers& representing your company! ! His name was Andrew, & he worked in the Springdale Arkansas store, I would hope he would be terminated from his position & his job would be given to someone in need of a job that would appreciate it! He surely doesnt!!

  44. My husband brought home the 10 for $10 family pack on Dec.21, 2013. The oil that this store was using is OLD nothing ruined the food more than using the OLD OIL to fried chicken and fish. And btw, when my credit card was charged, got an alert texted that Baracuda Restaurant as the name for your restaurant. Who's the heck Is BARACUDA??
    This location was on N.Beach Haltom City, 76111. We deserve a refund for this meal. You are losing us if you don't improve this matter!!

  45. went to a long john silver location here in jackson tn. with my family,( family of 6.. bill was $71.06... within 2 hours my husband was rushed to the hospital by ambulance with food poisoning. spent 4 hours in the ER.he ate the chicken along with 3 of my 4 daughters, called that LJS location while i was sitting in the ER and the manager told me it wasnt their problem. this morning 3 of my 4 kids are sick to their stomachs . and LJS was the only thing they ate yesterday since we where out shopping... WHO'S FAULT IS IT ????.. i guess ours for eating there..

  46. Each time I go to Long John Silver's for a to go order I have to check the order before I leave to make sure it is correct. Only once or twice in the past few years can the get this right. Last Sunday I stopped again at the Long John's in Lawton, OK. I saw something on a big board as I approached the order line. I thought my husband might like, he's got cancer & recently had surgery. I told the clerk what I wanted, she came around the counter & had no idea what that meal was. She went back around the counter, asked someone about the meal & then informed me it was a new meal and wasn't offered yet. Guess they haven't gotten this one right either! False advertising now!!!! So I order the number 3 meal. As I'm standing there I figure this time this order is right! Wrong!!!!! Where are the shrimp? Finally when I arrived home & told my husband about the experience he advised me not to return to Long John Silver's!

I Just spent nearly 30 dollars at your little elm location, I could not even eat a whole piece of chicken without my stomach turning, it tasted like (really) old grease that should probably not be consumed by humans. The staff at this location are indifferent and barely speak English. LJS used to be something our whole family could agree upon, but I can honestly say it's not something I hope to have again any time soon.

We just spent 10 min at the drive though speaker in Bartlesville, ok....long john silvers/a&w, we were told twicw it would be a few minutes. ...parked and went inside, no one at the drive through window & no one in line....no geeting...just it will be a while! I asked why? She said, "because you are waiting on me!!! We were leaving the establishment and another staff was with his friend in the parking lot, yelling & sqealing tires as they drove off!!

Both my teenage child work at the long john here in are town, my son was fired after 3 weeks by a phone call, when we ask why manger said she is was to slow then when she find out he has a disabilityshe calls and asks for him to come back three months later, my daughter has worked there 3 years was NO pay rate, she started working a second job and was going to keep wirking there but she was fired this week,mamger fired her via text message and told her she was never to be in the store again since she has a REAL job. Boss alsi told my sin he will be fired again if he say anything about his sister at work. I think this is pretty sad!!!!!!!!

  52. Sat in line for 45 min- 1hr in drive thru at the LJS/A&W in Huntsville, AL ( 2220 Sparkman Dr NW ( Sparkman Drive), Huntsville, AL). They took at least 20 min per person just to get food out. By the time I received my order it was cold. This is unacceptable and I would like compensation of some sort. You had 3 cars leave your establishment strictly bc of the time problem. There shouldn't be any reason for this. I have worked in fast food and this is unacceptable to the customer and the management. Maybe not the management of the location bit higher management doesn't like this bc they lose money. I paid $16.87 for my families food and I didn't even get a receipt. So I have to just tell yo what was paid and hope that your company does the right thing.

The general manager whos is above the age of 30 named julius barnes at the store in mooresville indiana is sexually harrasing the younger female employees(all under 18) including someone very close to me, hes tried to get them to sleep with them and has made threats towards them, he has friends who are above him in the corperation but get him out of trouble by telling him who reported him then fires the girls that try to speak out SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE, SEXUAL HARRASMENT TOWARDS MINORS IS UNEXCEPTABLE

The general manager whos is above the age of 30 named julius barnes at the store in mooresville indiana is sexually harrasing the younger female employees(all under 18) including someone very close to me, hes tried to get them to sleep with them and has made threats towards them, he has friends who are above him in the corperation but get him out of trouble by telling him who reported him then fires the girls that try to speak out SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE, SEXUAL HARRASMENT TOWARDS MINORS IS UNEXCEPTABLE

HI me and my wife just left the store on cambelle Ave spfd mo we orderd #7 &#9 & shrimp. we got our order and the fries weren't done so I asked them to replace them they did but they were just as nasty cashier asked us how they were and I told her. then an African American gentle man came out and asked I told him then he tried intimidate us telling us that he test them and cookrd them an extra minute and they are . It must just be the trans fat still proceeded to ask him a ? If all stores were that way he never did answer then. and he just kept walking circle around us never tried to give a discount or anything I'm not satisfied with him or food the only good part was the corn on cob and shrimp and had to go find dinner elsewhere because wasn't full because most of the meal wasn't good very unsatisfied!!!! either u guys will give me a gift card for my complete dinner or I will not be going to eat at any of u food branches u can contact me through email for any ???

  58. After not going to long John Silvers for many years we decided to give it a try last night. We don't really have money to spend on eating out and eat out very rarely, but I had a coupon so I decided to since we were out running errands all day and I didn't have anything set out for dinner. I ordered a 12 piece family meal with 8 chicken planks and 4 pieces of fish, some tater wedges, some mac and cheese, and some slaw. It came with hush puppies. I requested kindly for the fish and chicken to be made fresh and they said no problem. We live less than 5 minutes from the house so we got home, plated the kids food up, plated ours up, and started to eat. Everyone spit their food out. It was horrendous. The mac and cheese was a watery mess with no flavor. The fish was so salty and greasy that it was inedible. The chicken was the same, so salty and greasy it was inedible. The tater wedges were cold and soggy. The only edible thing out of the whole meal was the slaw and my kids don't eat that. I am not the type of customer to complain, but I at least expect to be able to eat at least half of the products I pay for. I tried to reach the store at least 10 times this evening. It goes to a voice mail. I left two polite messages asking a manager to please call me back. I never heard back. I called the customer service hotline and got a voice mail. I called corporate and they were closed. So in the end, I ended up spending money, which I don't have to waste, on something we couldn't even eat. I have my receipt and I am requesting a full monetary refund, as we will never set foot back into a Long John Silvers for as long as we live. It's not fit for a dog and to be honest, she wouldn't even eat it.

  59. Store #31069 is a corrupted store. Manager takes money from deposits lets employees barrow money from change bag makes up money by not ringing up customers orders and pocketing it.fired employee for not paying money bk to store that the manager let the employee barrow.having teamleaders make money up for shortages of money .this is ridiculous. Come on that is a poor excuse of a manager something needs to be done
