    1. You are absolutly right. I paid 800.00 for a LG 47" flat screen TV only for it to go out in 4 months. It's eveidently a manufactuer's issue because i searched the internet and found several pages of complaints of the same problem that i'm having. The Tv has power but won't come on! Sams Club won't help me and neither will LG. Totally rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    3. LG CANADA NOT!! Call their repair service department and you're calling Panama and not USA or CANADA. Worst service experience and run around I've ever had. I purchased an LG refrigerator 3 years ago. Paid over $2,000.00. In 26 months the fridge is no longer operating. They offer you a service plan for repair and tell you they can't find anyone in your area then refer you to a local third party service technician who charges 3x more and can't get parts for MONTHS!!

    8. CANT AGREE MORE!!! HAVE A 50" FLAT SCREEN PLASMA. 14 MONTHS OLD AND THE PICTURE GOES. CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE, LORD KNOWS WHERE THEY ARE, NEED TO FAX RECIEPT. SO I DID. I HAVE BEEN A WEEK WITHOUT MY TV. A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP CAME AND PICKED IT UP. I HAD TO TAKE THE TV OFF ITS STAND AND STRIP ANY HARDWARE ATTACHED, HAVE KNOW IDEA WHEN I AM GETTING IT BACK AND WAS TOLD THE WARRANTY AFTER THE REPAIR IS ONLY COVERED FOR 90 DAYS. UNBELIEVABLE.     9. I have been in customer service for years and this company is the absolute worst I have ever seen. I bought a washing machine that has only worked twice, had 3 repairs, and is now 6 months later and still nothing. They refuse to replace the unit, refund, nor extend my warranty. I will make sure everyone on every social media knows this is a terrible company with terrible product.

They made it clear they have no "obligation" to do anything to help the customer. They flat out stated they get their money from the "dealers"- they don't depend on people for their money- they get money from dealers that push their products- spread the word anyway possible- run away from this outfit ASAP. If you want to be insulted call supervisior Eric in Huntsville- employee number 7052. He tells me he is in charge of all US operations and answers to no one. He has "no obligation" to help anybody. Have an LG life Eric - you deserve the same service you "provide". Hopefully you bought the same LG junk from a dealer budy of yours

It was made very clear to me that I bought it and they will not honor their warranty, what ever defect you tell them you have they say "That is acceptable to LG"

    12. LG customer service is the worst - could not understand their reps in the Philippines and info was incorrect and time consuming because they had to check out everything and kept me waiting. Contacted corp. in Alabama and they refused to help with scratches on the stainless steel that were under the plastic covering that had to be peeled off. They only give you 7 days to report a complaint when I had to do preliminary work ie. shorter cabinet for wall microwave, had surgeries, and had to postpone installation. A very difficult company to deal with and unethical with me = I would not buy another LG appliance or product.

    13. I purchased a 55 in smart tv and it went out within a year. I have been dealing with LG since February 2014 and my tv is still not fixed. I was totally shocked with all the negative reports posted here sounds like we should all get together and do a group complaint against LG this is not right. We should start a lawsuit. If it weren't for the customers LG wouldn't be a company and they need to quit robbing their customers.     14. I agree. Worst customer service. They are giving me a hassle with my oven. The glass shattered while baking; the steel frame popped open but they still won't replace the stove.
      Bought the stove in Feb and having problems since then. They still haven't fixed it!!!

  2. I am very unahppy because none of my over a dozen cross-head screwdrivers fit the screws for the TV base. I called customer support and they advised me that it is an M4x20 screw. This may be a metric/pozidrive screw, or something else. Not supplying a compatible screw for U.S. customers, and not properly advising U.S. consumers in the users guide what we need to do a correct assembly is a major problem that this manufacturer is creating. At the least, they should advise what screwdriver is required or supply a screwdriver that fits. This makes what is a potentially excellent TV look like garbage. I also hate buying a screwdriver just for this TV, and never needing to use it again.

  3. I'm very disappointed with my purchase of an LG Refrigerator back in May 2011. To date I have had 8 service calls to date on the same problem; notwithstanding the fact I was told by a Best Buy Manager that after 4 such calls for the same problem the frig' would be replaced with a new one. Well that has happened to date. I truly think LG & Best Buy are stalling me until 1 year`past so that they can stick me with a defective refrigerator. If this is not addressed I will get an attorney involved.

    1. Check with your Attorney General for your state there is such a thing called the "Lemon Law". If a company has repaired the same problem on cars, etc THREE times they have to give you a new one. But it is worth your time to make a few calls. Also let the Better Business Bureau in your city know about your situation they would like to hear in writing as well. That goes public. Good luck

  5. I had no idea that LG was such a rip off company!!! I bought a 47" Flat Screen TV 4 months ago and it has stopped working. LG is refusing to give me a refund or replace, just want to repair the piece of junk i bought. 800.00 wasted, and nobody there cares. I will never buy this product again. i made a complaint with the Consumer Affairs Office, The BBB, the local news, Sams Club and anyone else connected to this rediculous SCAM!

  8. Dear Wayne Park, President of LG - I have a 18 month LG refrigerator. the compressor to the freezer has failed. LG refuses to take any accountability saying ,"this is a human made machine and therefore is subject to failure at any time, like a car or microwave." How proud you must be Mr. Park to see how smoothly your customer service staff derail a customer service issues. is this really the type of product you put out to the public? there was no offer to pay the cost of the spoiled food. parts are shipped two-day air but then need to be transported to the appliance repair shop which can take three or more days. i live in the greater phoenix area...no parts distribution center here. No willingness on the part of the Executive Customer Support supervisor (Amber) to advocate with UPS for the customer to see of the parts could be expedited. Amber just proceeded to tell me how she had been without her AC and frig for two weeks due to a power failure. this company has no idea how to do customer service, and clearly make inferior products. I will also be communicating with Consumer's Reports to tell them of my experience.

  10. I would never purchase an LG Product again. We bought a dishwasher and within 5 months the motor and sump pump broke and the door would not shut properly. DO NOT ever buy an LG dishwasher...or for that matter, any of their products. VERY poor customer service too. Overall, just BAD!!

  12. LG customer service is the worst. I bought a LG vacuum and two moths and the dirt bin door broke. I called said it was covered and would sent out a replacement. They did wrong part. Called again sent part, again wrong part. Called 3rd time said would send right part. They called now i need to send in for repairs. 2 months & I still do not have my vacuum. Never, never, never buy anything LG.

    1. I will add to the vacuum cleaner saga. Please note they are still selling the model I bought and it hasn't actually failed or broken, but vacuum cleaners, like autos require, maintenance parts. I have spent many hours trying to find the main foam filter, the HEPA filter and the belt. Belt is on back order now for almost two months and filters can't be purchased. This is like buying a car and not being able to buy oil & air filters. It is complete insanity and it was a very expensive vacuum cleaner. Their factory authorized parts suppliers can't help and are USELESS. LG's customer service has been even worse. In fact over all my years they are undoubtedly the WORSE I have ever dealt with. I will NEVER buy another LG product over this and am just glad it wasn't a refrigerator or large TV. I am over them!

  13. Please do not purchase an LG window unit air conditioner. LG does not honor the warranty!! I have informed all my friends, relatives and anyone with whom, I am having casual conversation.
    I am getting the serious run around. The local contract company are the rudest people I have ever met in my life, Powers Repair. I was told to contact them and verify my service call. Powers Repair never answered. The first appointment, they did not show up. Second appointment, did not show up. Last appointment showed up and took the front panel off the air conditioner and literally walked out of the house and stated, "I'm not dealing with this mess!" I contacted the company, and was treated very badly. The air conditioner rattles and blows hot air. The customer service rep called Powers Repair. Powers Repair stated they came out and plugged the air conditioner and it was blowing cold air but air conditioner was too small for room. This is a lie. The customer service rep took the word of the contract company and not mine (the customer)!
    The contract company sent to my home, did not have a uniform, were rude and dirty.

    I am a war veteran and a senior citizen!!!
    Unfortunately I have a LG Frig,two Split AC s, one TV and a Laptop.
    One of my AC s went bad on 19 June and I am yet to get a repair team,despite talking to every one in India
    The Summer is already passed in Hyd India and now not much of a need of an AC.
    Let us all complain to our governments and ask them to stop their sales in in our countries.

  15. Wow just reading all the complaints just proved my point that LG has no concern over their customers.. We have a phone that due to a manufacturer defect we have to be with out a phone and they will not replace it.. I see why I don't have an LG but my husband bought the marquee phone when it came out. Not even a week later the speaker for the volume an music went out. Between the store and customer service we have had no help. I'm glad I have an IPhone that Apple at least helps with everything.. I to have made it known that LG is not what it use to be and like you guys I will be going on the BBB to voice my complaint. Maybe this company needs to reload at how they handle their customers.

  16. Wow just reading all the issues with this company it proves they are not very customer service. My husband purchased a LG marquee from a wireless carrier. Almost a week after the speaker for the ringer and music went out for another we were back in forth with the wireless carrier an lg customer service and got no were. We have to send in a phone and WAIT for us it to be fixed. No replacement sent no exchange. Because its their policy. I think that is poor business. While any other carrier would have had it done within a day. But because it is Boost mobile it won't be done.. I'm not blaming boost because it should be in LG best interest of te customer to satisfy te customer but then again how would thy benefit us . Right? I am so glad I have an iPhone with apple that truly go far and beyond for their customers. And yes hair like some of you I will be making a report to BBB. And I'm not going to put this anonymous because we should be heard and they should know who the actual customer is.

  17. My new refrigerator broke after 3 months and 3 days. They replaced the compressor, mother board, ice maker and another part. 2 months later it's all broken again. WTF? Customer service has been no help. Since they don't have a repair man close to where I live...I need to wait another 3-5 days just to find out when someone is coming out? Also, I have lost thousands of dollars in medication and food. I am handicapped and on special diet. I can't eat out...   18. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I purchased an LG over the range microwave 15 months ago. The steam vent at the top is melting my new cabinet finish. TOO BAD FOR ME. I am 3 months past my warranty. I can pay for a service person to assess that it was installed correctly. Your microwave is melting my cabinet and I can pay for a service call. TOO BAD FOR ME. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LG!!! THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!!!! THANKS FOR NOTHING.

    1. And I thought I was the only one having trouble with LG Customer Service!!! My over-the-range microwave door actually MELTED dripping black sticky glasshard plastice down to the glasstop stove...in prying it off when cooled it took off chips of glass leaving the stovetop one ugly mess....well the door could be replacd and the repair man said he had never seen anything like it and I shoulod contact LG with pictures, etc.
      which I did (letter, pictures, door bill). With no reply from them I called and they denied receiving the packet, but requested I send all the info again including my phone #....still no response. I called again...the exec. I had spoken to was "unavailable" so his sec. spoke whikle looking at the second pictures they did
      receive and all she could come up with is "well you left a pan on the stove unattended"...THE MOST UNCARING CUSTOMER SERVICE IMAGINABLE111 You would think they might like to know their plastic melts easily and perhaps a metal doored microwave should be developed...all I expected was at least "we are sorry" or "thanks for bringing this to our attention."I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG ANYTHING because of their attitude.
      And yet they can give some kid $50,000 for being the fastest at texting just for LG PR. !!!! :( Spreading the word wherever I can.

  19. Up until today I thought that Lg was a very good company. I am looking for a electric built-in double oven. After finding a couple of LG models, I started searching for installation requirements specifically electrical requirements. Not finding the specific requirements on line I called customer service. Apparently they don't have a technical support dept.
    I was told by one person "we cant publish the requirements for every appliance". Another "supervisor" apparently not wanting to deal with the question, put me on hold for quite a while and then terminated the call. I will never buy a LG product..........................

  20. I bought a LG fridge from Vijay sales (they don’t stock LG anymore and I know why) on 13th August 2011. It is a red coloured luxury model side by side fridge, model no: GC-P227LGCW , serial no 105TRVM00087. On 24th July my fridge stopped working. I complained at 9am on the same day, Complaint no: RNA120724079063 and was told that a technician would call me within 2 hours. No one called. I called three times more with no response at all. My husband actually had to go to the service centre, and then a technician finally came home at 6pm and did nothing but tell us that the gas needs to be filled and someone would come by noon the next day and fill it.
    When no one came the next day, I called at noon (tel- 9167216869), and was told that someone would come before 3pm and fill the gas. Of course that didn’t happen and no one at LG had the manners to phone me. At 3pm when I called, I was told that there’s no gas available, and since it was under a year, my fridge would be replaced, in a week. They were kind enough to give me a standby, which looks like a museum relic and also has the vegetable compartment, ice trays and a few shelves missing, and the shelves that are there, are cracked. I spent two whole days at home so that someone would come and sort my fridge out, is LG going to compensate that? Not to mention all the mango pulp that I painstakingly made and the cheese that got spoiled.
    Next day I called again to tell them that they need to hurry with my replacement as the standby isn’t sufficient for my big family’s needs, and I get told my Manoj that the fridge isn’t available (WHY WASN’T I CALLED?) and that I would have to choose another model for replacement. He promised to call me in an hour with what models they could replace my fridge with but the call never came. Why are these people working at LG if they can’t get anything done? Customer service? Does anyone at LG even know what it means? I sent so many emails and got replies (from Soniya Chauhan and Manoj Bhist) that made me think that my email was not even read. How many people are currently suing you?
    A fridge that cost me almost a lakh, not working before the year is over and 15 phone calls and several emails later my problem still not sorted. LG-life’s good. What a laugh, it isn’t good for people who buy LG. Change it to LG- Lousy Goods with lousier service. The issue that bothers me most is that no one calls to get in touch to sort out the issue. The customer service people at LG are highly inefficient (or overworked) and don’t even know the meaning of customer service. My previous BPL fridge had its 1st problem 8 years after purchase (great service too), and I used it for 17 years. The Godrej one before that was 30 years old and working. If you can’t sort out my issue, give my money back, I’ll buy another fridge....obviously not LG. It doesn’t make me happy that my microwave and washing machine are also LG.

  21. We purchased a LG front load washing machine which after 11 months leaked through our ceiling on 6/20/12 and to date 8/6/12 and 5 service visits has not yet been fixed. No help by Customer Service they say to call Video Tech and Video Tech says to call LG. So far after 5 service visits, a month and a half without a washing machine, 4 days loss work it's still not fixed. Our ceiling was repaired twice by our builder and that includes the second time after it was supposedly fixed per the repair guy at Video Tech. Really great service I say. When is enough enough with you guys, when our ceiling caves in from to much water. I too will never buy LG again, will stick with Kenmore a reliable product.

  23. Wow, I can't believe how many people have had problems with LG products. I too had a problem with an LG refrigerator that was only 18months old. Same thing, compressor went, customer service was useless. I've had Whirlpool, Kenmore that lasted over 25 years, and only replaced them because I wanted to upgrade my kitchen. LG microwave I bought at the same time also had a problem with it's humidity sensor. LG helpline was not helpful at all. Thank God I had an extended warranty with PC Richard who after multiple repair calls concluded the frig could not be fixed and replaced it. I would have been stuck with a $2100 piece of crap. LG's Customer Service response was "your factory warranty is only for 1 year"

  24. My referigerator after 2 yrs, does not work. I will have to buy a new one. Customer service does not exist techical does not exist.LG is fomerly LUCKY STAR GOLD which made very poor products.LG should change its name back to LUCKY STAR GOLD. There is no corporate ETHICS or ACCOUNTABILITY with LG. There products are planned to malfunction in a short time. I suggest every one not buy their products. Why? LIFE IS GOOD when you do not purchase a LG product.

  25. Has anyone noticed there isn't one good thing said about LG on this site. I think if LG continues this pattern they will be out of business soon. I have had the worst customer service ever with LG. 2 of our family friends have bought new houses and are fully furnishing them, we have let them know....DO NOT buy any LG products. We had a 50' TV that the screen started cracking while we were on the couch watching it. I called LG, they told me to take it to a repair man. I took it. He determined that it was indeed a manufacturer defect with the TV. LG emailed me and said they have decided not to replace the part they feel it was due to impact. I talked to the repair man and he said he's called 2 times and they have never returned his calls. So they made a decision without even talking to the repair man they sent me too. WOW. I spoke with the large corporation I work for and we are in the works of cutting of any contracts we have with LG. So now, their horrible customer service has lost us personally as customers, also our family, friends, and the corporation I work for. Maybe they should start thinking about how their customer service is effecting their business.....NEVER BUY LG AGAIN

Bought 32 inch TV from LG and it had a screen defect within 2 months of owning it. i called LG and they came out to replace the defective part at no cost to me, but then the same problem occured with the replacement part, and then the main board when out, and then the original problem occured again. This TV broke 4 times with a 1 year period. After calling their customer service center I was told that they would send me a replacement TV that was brand new at no cost to me. Come to find that by sending me a replacement TV they meant they wanted me to send my TV back for them to verify the problem, and that it could take anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks to hear back from them, and that they no longer had my television in stock or any equivilant model, so they just wanted to send me the money i paid for the TV instead of just giving me an better model for no cost since they sold me a defective TV. LG has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SPOKE WITH!!!! I will never buy any other LG product again. LG has lost my business for good, and they better know that I will be lettign everyone I know about my Shitty experience with LG.

    1. I totally agree with you!! I've talked to LG 4 times today, gotten all sorts of answers that don't make sense. Just bought a 55 inch Google TV and the remote that came with it will not turn it on, turn it off, or work the volume, or change channels. It will work on some of the other unique items such as voice control, and the arrows up and down. Customer service had me so mad my blood pressure when up, and they said that I need to change the batteries in the remote control and if that didn't help it was not an LG problem !!! Unbelievable, but believable after reading all these negatives!!! BTW, I put in new, Duracels, and if the remote works some of the things, that means the batteries work and the remote does not work volume, channels, on/off. But LG was completely rude, obnoxious, insensitive, treated me like I was wasting their time as well. They WILL go out of business, but unfortunately by that time they will be rich off the backs of people that bought their bogus products.

    2. I agree totally. I got some horrible CS and BS from LG today. They treated me as if I was wasting their PRECIOUS time !!! As if I should not have called them. But,,,,,, their equipment does not work, the TV remote will not control all functions of the Google TV I bought, only a few things work with the remote. I can't turn the TV on and off with their remote ! Huh? I can't control the channels ! Huh? They say it's not an LG problem and for me to change the batteries in the remote. And treated me horribly. I wish I had known about them before I bought LG products. NEVER again though. NEVER !!!

  27. I bought a LG convection oven July of 2011. Paid about 800.00 I had a repairman in 3 times due to the touchpad which turns on the burners or oven went out. In august this year my oven would not go on and I could not set the clock or timer. It was out of warranty. I had a repairman come in for 75.00 to advise what was wrong. The control pad was out again. I called LG they opened a ticket and 2 weeks later finally said they would repair it. They never once in the 5 times speaking with them said if they ok'd the repair they would send someone out. I remind you this is 2 weeks later. I had it fixed by repair people I had look at it and it cost me another 80.00. NOW LG REFUSES TO PAY ME BACK! I was going to by a LG washer and dryer and big screen TV. I will never by anything from them again and will tell everyone in American Express where I work about my problem.

  29. I sure wish I had been in this site before I bought our refrigerator. Have had 5 calls on it, board also replaced, new seals, ice in freezer and to try to get a replacement is just not happening. LG said to talk to HHGRegg people,since it now on the extended warranty, but LG should be responsible for any flaws in their equipment since the problems started a month after I got it. I had three calls before it was before it was a year old. I've always had Sears and they lasted so long. Also bought LG Washer & Dryer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I haven't even finished paying on the refrigerator. What a nightmare.

    LG service center namely Mega Service center is fraud. I went there to repair my LG microwave oven. It had a sparkling problem. They took the microwave oven and kept it for two and half months. During this duration I kept on calling them and the response was just give us two days and we will repair your microwave oven. After calling them around 15 times they responded in the same manner. Finally I called them and told them that I do not want to repair my microwave oven from Mega Service Center and return my microwave oven. On this they immediately called me and told me that my microwave oven has been repaired and we have installed a brand new magnetron in it therefore take your microwave oven and pay the full cost of magnetron..
    When I went there they were reluctant to show me whether it is repaired or not but I insisted. After half an hour wait they showed me and it was working ok. I paid full cost of magnetron. As soon as I came back and put a cup of water in the microwave oven it started to sparkle again. I called them back and they told me that it was not their problem anymore. After that they stopped answering my calls. When I went there the whole staff was very rude and treated me very roughly especially manager was very manipulative and unwilling to solve my problem.
    Madam/Sir can you do anything about it??

    1. I feel badly that they treated you this way, but it's the LG way. I too have been treated horribly by LG, supposed Customer Service. They never service customers other than to take their money on the initial purchase. After you pay, they do not want anything to do with you or their badly manufactured product. They must give classes to teach their employees the best ways to be mean to customers as they are the best mean customer service people I've come across. I will NEVER buy LG again, and I've learned that their products are made by Zenith and by GoldStar so beware of those items also. LG told me to use TV codes for the Zenith and GoldStar because they make the LG products. One customer service person even asked me if I was calling about my GoldStar TV, when I was calling about my LG TV. OMG !!! Rude and stupid.

Products that they KNEW were no good but all they care about it getting our money and then dumping us and their products. The best we can do now is keep everyone from buying LG again. Also note, an LG CS person told me that their products are made by Zenith and GoldStar so beware of those as well. Just in case it is true. I can only go by what they told me, which is that Zenith and Goldstar makes their products and they told me to use the TV codes for my remote control, from the list of Zenith and GoldStar codes.

  33. I wish I had known how utterly and completely useless their "customer service" was before we bought a TV from them. I honestly can't believe a company can function with absolutely no support whatsoever. The TV blew up after a year and LG just plays games with you on the phone, claiming the receipt was blurry and they can't use it. I went to Best Buy and had them reprint the receipt and I sent it in, only to hear that it's "blurry". IT'S A BRAND NEW RECEIPT SCANNED INTO A PDF.

    The worst customer experience ever. I will never buy another LG product, and I will tell EVERYONE I know never to buy anything from them. I'm going to create a FB page dedicated to trashing their products. LG is the worst electronics manufacturer on Earth.

  35. Three-month-old window A/C (installed thru wall) went absolutely haywire 9 days ago (started beeping NON-STOP ALL NIGHT) then wouldn't cool, then compressor would kick on and NOT kick off. Called LG "customer service" (I would've gotten a better response from talking to my WALL) twice as soon as they opened. First rep was reading from a script (and I couldn't understand 99% of what he was saying). Three phone calls & 3 chats w/ these people over 5 days... Was told would take them 3-5 days to FIND someone to do warranty repair. After 5th contact w/ them, was told 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS... No one locally provides LG warranty service (wisely-so). Now 8 days later, I was left a message they are sending A&E Repair Service (OMG the online complaints are mind-boggling--about LG AND this particular "repair service." The cannot repair the A/C for another 9 days. I live in the FL Keys. Hot & VERY humid FL Keys & work in animal rescue. We DEPEND on A/C to keep the animals comfortable. I'm contacting Home Depot about this situation & advising them that the LG products are CRAP & the "warranty service" is even worse, particularly in the Keys. HOW DARE THIS COMPANY RIP US ALL OFF with products that we all depend on to basically SUSTAIN A MINIMUM OF QUALITY LIVING!!! "Life's Good?" NOT IF YOU BUY LG CRAP!!!!!

It felt like I was in one of those commercials where the phone is being passed around the room and no one knows what they are talking about, or even cares. This was a work related call. Dang...And I just bought a LG television Labor Day weekend from Fry's Electronics for myself. I hope the warranty I purchased from Fry's is valid.

    I only have sound no picture.LG tells me that i have to wait 10 days to see if the parts that are on back order come in.now We are without a tv for another 10 days& been without for the past week. all they do is give you the run
    around.We have bought the five yr. service contract at least I won't have to pay to have it fixed.LG will never see anymore of my money.

  38. Wish I would have researched this lousy company before purchasing a built-in microwave and dishwasher! Had 3 service calls for the same problem (humidity sensor) on microwave before 1 year warranty was up and all within 2 months. Worked for a few months after the 1 year warranty and then the same thing happened again, plus the cooling fan went out. LG authorized repair technician replaced almost every possible part this last time(waited 7 weeks) and it only worked for one day. LG says they will not replace the microwave despite repair tech telling them replacing the same thing over and over is not going to solve the issue and the unit should be replaced. Tech said this is how LG operates - they'll just keep throwing parts in to their defective merchandise but will not replace them or they may give a credit toward purchasing a new item. Who in their right mind would buy another one of their products! So far, the sensor has been replaced 4 times, control board 3 times, cooling fan and numerous other parts with this last repair. How do these people working for LG sleep at night! Worst customer service I have ever encountered and will never buy another LG product! Not an ethical company at all!

  39. On December 27, 2012 I purchased a 47" flat screen TV. I get home only to discover there are no screws to mount the TV to the base. I immediately call customer service and after a 20 minute wait, get connected to someone in Calcutta or Bangledesh who can't speak English. I am told that I have to wait 10 days for the missing screws to be sent out to me. I ask for a manager or supervisor who tells me per the original custormer service chick, I agreed to the 10 day time frame. I have a room full of people who overheard the entire conversation (speakerphone)who told him I never agreed to wait 10 days for screws. After he realizes the chick is caught in a lie, he said he would expedite the shipment for 1-2 business days. Because I don't trust anything he said I wait 2 days and call back and surprise, surprise the notes say I will get the screws in 10 days. I am then told there is no way to expedite sending the screws. Think I will find out when the next shareholder meeting is and show up to tell LG exactly what it can do for me.

    3. Why does it take over 40 minutes to get a simple questioned answered? After calling parts unknown to get a questioned answered about an ice problem, it took over 40 minutes to get a yes or no answer from the person that I was chatting with, I was hung up the first time for she could not deal with a yes or no answer, then I was transferred over to the United States for a tech. The LG company is a 3 ring circus and never, ever would I ever purchased a LG product. My mother moved into a condo where the previous owner had bought one of your horrible refrigerators and had ice build up at the back of the freezer. Just wanted a simple question answered and if a extended warranty could be had. This took over 40 minutes for an answer. Why would that be? Thank-goodness that I have a brain not to ever buy an LG product. My mother would never either, but unfortunately her Fridge came with her unit....

I have to agree customer service sucks i was hung up on, three times, when i tried to call LG Corp. the phone rang for 20 minutes with no answer, we are the ones putting money in your pockets, if everyone boycotts' LG products maybe they might start making better products that don't break down as soon as you purchase them, and maybe they might have better customer servic. starting from the front office on down, very disappointed thought LG was better then the others, going on line to see, what company treats their customer with respect and start doing business th them. after all every smart tv led etc are made in mexico. i might be getting the same product but at least i will at peace knowing that, my needs will be tender to. not giving too, not the run around. maybe call MSNBC to see if they might look into what's happening with LG products and their customer service, maybe if they put them on blast for the nation to see. they might straighten up their acts. lets see if LIFES really GOOD when you feel the heat from national tv.

  43. Do not purchase the 31 cu.ft french door refrigerator with bottom freezer. Had the reapirman here 5 times and it still has ice and frost build up in freezer. It is true that there $3.00 per hour customer service agenst read from scripts and do not help. Don't ask for a supervisor because you won't get one. They have the audacity to deny to speak with you.   45. *****BUYER BEAWARE***** If you will buy any LG product and have any kind of problem with it, you will deeply regret that you haven't bought another brand. LG has the worst customer service ever .... called them because my brand new microwave over the range was not working properly, they sent a service guy to my house to fix it, the guy said right before he saw it that there is nothing wrong with the unit, asked him how can be sure without even checking it, after he checked it he agreed there was a problem with it, after spending 2 hours trying to fix it, he wasn't able to fix it, then he told me that he will send a report about it and I should be getting a new microwave from LG, 1 week later the report said that there is nothing wrong with it, called cust serv and spoke with a supervisor who refused to do anything and hung up the phone. After being a loyal customer for many years and have only bought LG appliances and electronics, this is the way I am getting treated. I had spent thousands of dollars and they won't fix or replace my microwave, I will never ever buy any LG products again ...

  46. I bought a LG 50" plasma tv in 12/2010 for $1025. Less than two years later, in 09/2011, the picture went out. I spent $321 to replace the control assembly board, after not having a working tv for 10 or so days. A part had to be back-ordered. The only part under warrantee at that point was the two year warrantee on the main panel. In Jan 2013, I three inch verticle white streak appeared on the screen. It was diagnosed by theiry authorized repair people as a mail panel failure! I'm so dissappointed and frustrated with their product. A tv that you spend over a thousand dollars should last more than two years. I'm going to make several calls but I don't expect much. NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT. There must be a BOYCOTT LG on Facebook, huh? I'm going to look for it, and if I can't find it, start a BOYCOTT LG page!

  47. I had a rumor touch cell phone that I was clearing to put on a different account. It had been working perfectly up to this point. I did factory reset and the phone went into a hardware reset loop. I was told to go to lg.com and do a firmware update using their tool and provided software. I followed the directions exactly and it got to 99% and reset my phone. That was the last time my phone worked. It would never restart after the firmware shut it down. Now, LG is saying that it is my problem, that there must have been a hardware issue that caused the problem. Never mind that it worked perfectly before that. Never ever ever buy an LG phone. They are the worst products with the worst support. There is a reason that they cannot compete against htc and Samsung and their HORRIBLE service is just another nail in their coffin.

I purchased an LG top load washer which was having trouble after the first week of use. I have been calling LG service for one month trying to get someone to call back to arrange for a service call and date. After a number of promises from whatever representative answered, I was never extended the courtesy of a call back. I decided to contact the store where I purchase the product and asked them to please step in and help. They also tried but evidentaly had no luck either because the end result is I am getting my machine serviced, but through an additional warranty I purchase through the store and not the LG service warranty. LG offers the worst support system I have ever experienced. They care nothing about the consumer. Needless to say I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I do not recommend anyone purchase an LG product. if you have any problem with your purchase, you will never be able to get service for your item.

Give me a break the whole phone is $300 and you want to tell me it's going to cost me 2/3 of the price to change the back ?   52. I am in agreement with all of the complaints I have seen here. We purchased a washer/dryer all in one unit almost 5 years ago and have problems with it. Several times we had the control board replaced because it burned out. we now have a problem with water not filling in the machine after its done a wash and dry cycle. we have an extended warranty an haven't put out any money but now with the latest problem they can't fix it. We have done all of our washes on the cold/cold cycle, the repairman said the machine is calling for hot water???? hello, we are using cold water only. So now we are up a creek because we don't have a hot water hookup to prove the repairman wrong. We have washed clothes with cold water since we got the machine.That should not make any difference. Never will but LG products again.

These bass-turds at LG just stole 6 minutes of calling time waiting to talk to someone at technical support - because there is no such thing as a toll-free number calling from a cell phone - and a total of 9:39 minutes until the bass-turd LG employee on the other end of the phone hung up on me! I first attempted to enter the model# of the phone at the technical assistance web site and was informed in writing that there are no results for this LG phone (LG231C)!!!! Then the aforementioned bass-turd with a job, told me that because I purchased the phone (and LG manufactured phone - I will add once again!)from Tracfone, LG will not help me at all! In fact she specifically referred to this phone as NOT BEING AN LG PHONE AT ALL - BUT IN FACT A TRACFONE - EVEN THOUGH LG'S NAME IS WRITTEN ON THE PHONE & APPEARS EVERY TIME YOU TURN THE DAMN THING ON!!!! All I was trying to find out was how to disable the voicemail on this phone - so I no get charged for receiving the voicemail and then charged again for listening to any voicemail messages!!! I feel all of your pain - everyone who has taken the time out of their own life to leave a message - for what it's worth - here at this site that contains MANY MANY honest citizen's reflections and complaints about this obviously GOD-FORSAKEN capitalist ("we have all the supply so we can demand whatever we want!")   59. I'm disgusted with the fact that I spent my hard earned money on your product and extended warranties. Numerous repairs and phone calls, only for this TV to complete die. I had expression my feelings regarding this issue via Twitter. I received a response back "Sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact customer service near you for direct help. Thank you." Well, I did in fact contact customer service and they advised me to email a copy of my proof of purchase and worksheets of all repairs. Reference #CNM130625425470 per GUS. My TV will be repaired or replaced due to the nature of all the problems prior to my extended warranty expiring. I email all information to HE.DOCUMENTS@LGE.COM as requested. Waited a couple of days so your customer service could receive and process my documents. Called today and was told that my reciept is not valid. Refusal of any further help. Denying any repairs or replacement. I asked to speak to a supervisor. TISH-CNM130628502082 NO HELP!! Don't waste your money investing into LG. They don't care about their customers and definitely don't stand behind their products. I don't care if it was purchased 6 months or 6 years ago. You should always stand behind your product. Or try to satisfy your loyal customers. Sad...Samsung is looking better and better as LG continues to lie to me. Life is not Good in the land of LG.

  62. New Refrigerator that won't cool lower than 42 degree's. They suggested that I read the manual. There was none in the appliance. I called back; they told me to download it from the website. I download the one that said English but it is in Spanish. Can not find one in English Both Spanish and English PDF files are in Spanish

    Maybe I need Manuel to interpret the manual?

  64. I purchased two LG 47" LED TV's less than a year ago. Neither are working now. The customer service dept. is a joke. I have spent so much time on the phone trying to get the problem resolved.
    I have absolutely no confidence in anyone I spoke with and can't get anyone to refer me to someone within the LG corporation whom may have an interest in the future of LG. I won't buy another LG product and urge everyone else to do the same.

  66. I will NEVER purchase LG products again. I read through these comments and think to myself "What a fool! I should have checked this website out before I even thought of purchasing anything LG!" I remodeled - purchased all new LG appliances for kitchen - they all suck. I couldn't immediately determine that the appliances sucked as when my delivery date came near, LG called me and left a message saying that they were out of stock on the appliances I had ordered and paid for 2 months earlier. They were certainly in stock when I purchased them. The appliances arrived 1 1/2 months later than original delivery date. Microwave quit after 2 months of being installed and instead of giving me a whole new unit they spent twice as much replacing the control panel. But at least they fixed that! Refrigerator Icemaker fan quits right after I have had it for 20 months - have extended warranty and still cannot get anyone sent to my house to fix it. Now my refrigerator is freezing everything. Customer service Reps. are horrible and do not care about getting the problem fixed. I have never dealt with a Rep who can't even bother to read through the notes from my previous call to be better informed on the situation and even TRY to be more helpful. I am the CUSTOMER LG - I bought YOUR product - YOU need to treat your customers better - like that will ever happen.......

    Never again will a new LG product be in my house - I hope the ones I have quit working soon so I can get new NOT LG products

  67. I am on hold for a supervisor as I type this - probably still be there when I'm done typing.

    LG made a cell phone with Cornings Gorilla glass screen - charged $50.00 more for it than a comparable model without it - if that doesn't say implied warranty I don't know what does.

    Corning told me to contact LG -

    "We are sorry to hear that you've had a problem with your device. While Corning® Gorilla® Glass is better able to survive the real-world events that most commonly cause glass to scratch, chip or break, if subject to enough damage, Gorilla Glass, like all glass, can break. We recommend you contact your device manufacture to review your warranty and their repair program"

I wish I had read this page before purchasing my lg blu ray player it worked for 4 days than stopped I contacted lg reps they keep giving me the run around now my store return policy has expired and still the issue is unresolved I paid a 100 dollars for this player I also will be filing a complaint with the BBB I have a year warranty with lg now there offering repair on the player that's only a month old something is wrong with this picture I feel the product is inferior and crap I purchased a Phillips blu ray 2yrs ago and it still works I should have stuck with that brand. lg reps are trained to bs you. I will never purchase another lg product or any product from there subsidiaries.

Let’s see if I can make short & sweet, and make sense. 95 yr old mother & 75 yr old disabled sister, new house, spent 3k+ for new fridge. 7 months later food in freezer thaws & fridge not cooling. Call warranty service, Arwin told me someone would be out next day (Wed.) to fix, service person calls to say have to order parts 2-3 days minimum maybe Friday else next Monday before can fix. Call warranty service back need someone with the parts, to fix and told by Ben that they would be out on Thurs.. Get a call from new service company, will have to order parts due Fri. or Mon. Call LG center back and tell them this is unacceptable and ask why if computer and printer parts ordered under warranty can be overnighted, why can’t fridge parts since it is an essential home item. Told they don’t do that. Today, Friday, no parts, no calls no nothing. Talk to LG again, call Service person told that parts never got ordered will be here Tues. or Wed. next week. By Tues. fridge down 1 week for elderly and disabled person – this is not only ridiculous, it is just down right WRONG!!!! Why with all of the parts houses here in the Houston, Texas area, can’t a service man go out and buy the necessary parts and fix the fridge? Or does that make too much sense? LG says that it’s not company policy to allow service personnel to do this – policy needs to change!!!! All in all – LG SERVICE SUCKS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DON’T CARE JUST MAKE EXCUSEDS

  72. I purchased a LG refrigerator about 9 months ago. Last month it began making a loud rattling noise. I called customer service and was told I would hear back from them in 3-5 business days to let me know when someone would be coming to fix it. I was told the refrigerator had some type of recall. I didn't hear from LG so I called them back. I was told there wasn't anything they could do at that time because they were looking for someone in the area that could fix LG appliances and the refrigerator was not under recall. The person I spoke with on this occurrence hung up on me. Three days later I called them back to find out what was going on. I was told if they couldn't find anyone that could fix LG appliances within the next 24 hours, my case would be sent to the resolution department and I would get a new refrigerator. Surprisingly, I received a phone call from LG asking me to email my proof of purchase and they would resolve the problem. This was sent, I called back about three days later when water began leaking from the ice machine which had completely stopped working and was told that the resolution department was still working on my case. This customer service agent, if that's what you can call them, told me I may get a refund or a replacement. I have had to call back again today and they claimed they had not received my email and proof of purchased and asked me to re-send it. That was done and it was attached to my case and sent over to yet another department. I was told today that in the next 2-3 business days they will decide if they will replace my refrigerator so I have gone from my refrigerator will be fixed to we may replace it but not sure and I may have to live with a refrigerator that only 50% of it works The customer service supervisor, whom I asked for right away instead of talking to people that don't know what they are talking about, was very rude and disrespectful. She didn't seem to really want to help out. They need to replace their customer service department. How many more times am I going to have to call before I get a straight answer. Unfortunately, nothing will happen and the LG customer service will no improve because I am pretty sure the people that need to be reading these reviews are not paying any attention to them. All the executives want is people money. I hope I get a refund so I can purchase a different brand and throw my LG in the trash.

  74. Here is an idea, maybe you should have parts in the area where your products are sold or more importantly, BREAK DOWN. EXTREMELY POOR !! I feel sorry for the service guy, completely not his fault, maybe the company should take responsibility for their products. We have been without a fridge for 5 days. Maybe those sitting in the comfy offices should be without refrigeration at their homes, or maybe they don't have Lg products in their homes. Probably the latter is true. Don't buy LG.

I also bought a beautiful on the outside new refrigerator, came home one evening smelt something burning looked in frig and light had been on for I don't know how long all the plastic on frig was burning and melting.could of started a fire.After a few calls LG sent someone out to fix it, The light in frig has NEVER worked again! Also along with some other problems.This refrigerator is a piece of junk what a waist of money.Will never buy an LG again.

  77. I AGREEE WORST COMPANY SERVICE EVER. THE COMPANY RECOMMEND TO SERVICE MY DISHWASHER TOOK OT FROM MY HOUSE TO TROUBLE SHOOT AT THEIR REPAIR SHOP. PROMISED FOR 4 WEEKS . WAS TO BE FIX AT SHOP AND RETURNED IN WORKING ORDER. DATE SET WAITED FOR DISHWASHER RECEIVED PHONE CALL FROM SHOP. GUYS WERE HERE AT THE HOUSE WITH THE PARTS ??? WAS TO BE FIXED AT SHOP??? FORGOT THE DISHWASHER ???? BUT REMEMEBERED TO BRING THE PARTS ??. DISHWASHER FINALLY RETURNED STILL DOES NOT WORK ???? STILL WAITING FOR LG SERVICE TO COME UP WITH A PLAN CALL THEM EVERY OTHER DAY SPEAK TO PERSON EVERY WHERE. ONE GUY ANSWERED THE PHONE WHOA WHAT CAN I HELP YOU WITH. THIS WAS PANAMA

  78. Our LG front-load washer is three years old. While cleaning the front with a soft paper towel and water, the labeling around the cycle selection knob started to flake off. I checked the LG support site and found this is a fairly common problem. Why don't they make it so it LASTS? I tried calling LG Support. After faxing a copy of the purchase receipt and calling back a week later, I was told that someone would call within 3-5 days to set up an appointment for replacing the entire front control panel. About an hour later the representative called back and told me that the replacement would not be covered since it is cosmetic, not mechanical. I asked how am I supposed to select the cycle without having to look at the instruction manual every time I use the machine. I was told that after three years of use, by now I should have memorized all (9) cycle positions on the unit. How stupid is that? the customer service representative was very nice on the phone but totally useless. DON'T BUY LG!!!!

    Muy mal es la pobreza de aplicaciones que hay, seguramente sea porque el sdk sea bastante chungo y las aplicaciones tengan que ponerles un DRM, porque las aplicaciones en si son fáciles de programar
    También que son bastante cutrecillas, lo bonito sería que tuvieses la opción por ejemplo de ver las notificaciones del facebook mientras ves la tele, o las del correo, etc. Pero en realidad no cuenta ni con un cliente de correo, algo que hasta el mas baratejo smartphone tiene hoy... En esto muy mal LG
    Y mal también en que para grabar la programación necesitas un disco duro externo totalmente dedicado (te lo formatea la TV de tal forma que no lo puedes usar para otras cosas) cuando cualquier TV barata te permite grabar en un pendrive
    En resumen que la plataforma Smartv tiene muchas posibilidades y simplemente adoptando Android como sistema operativo ya hubieran hecho mucho, pero hacen unos grandes aparatos vacíos de contenido, es incomprensible

  81. Worst customer service, will NEVER buy a LG product again! Front loader washer stopped spinning only 3 1/2 years old. LG gave me a list of 8 companies that were LG certified to work on it .... but only one serviced my area.... they came out and it was part of the motor that is covered under the 7 year warranty ... parts and labor covered. Now LG is telling me that company was Not certified to do the warranty work and they will not authorize them to repair it. Now they are sending someone else in 2 weeks to look at it. I've been dealing with this problem for almost 3 weeks already. Life is not good with LG!!!!!!!

  84. LG washer model# WT5070CW was only 2 yrs old when the motor went. Good news it was covered under warranty. Bad news, I couldn't find the receipt and without it they would not honor warranty. $500 to repair without it, which I refuse to do. I will replace it first with another brand. Even sending in the warranty card does not suffice as proof of purchase and why does it matter anyway? Under warranty is under warranty. Customer service could care less if I couldn't find the receipt. Will never buy LG again.

  89. I've just read all the complaints above and feel grateful that mine is not as bad as most of these. It certainly doesn't look as if I can expect any satisfaction either from LG or Home Depot where we purchased the appliance. If all of these complaints have been online for SEVERAL YEARS, why does HOME DEPOT, LOWES, etc. continue to sell these products. It's not as if there are just a few complaints on just a few items. Whose checking these items for Quality Control?!!! This is LUDICROUS!!! What are the state attorney generals doing about this? I'm sure they have been alerted. So much for CONSUMER PROTECTION!!! Like the rest of you, I will NEVER buy another LG product but it looks as if SOMEONE is PROTECTING LG!!!

  90. Bought an LG refrigerator less than a year ago which is now not cooling and found out it's the condenser. This should not happen on a new fridge. I bought a refrigerator on July 20th, 2013 which was delivered to me on July 23rd, 2013. On Wednesday, July 2nd, I got home from work to find a puddle of water on my kitchen floor and everything in the fridge thawed out. I had to throw out about $300 worth of food items. I immediately called the place where I had I purchased the fridge and was told that since it's still under manufacturers' warranty, I need to contact LG. This is when my worst experience with a company's customer service started. I called LG right after hanging up the phone. LG gave me some names of repair services to call, and said there is nothing else they can do about it. I had a difficult time finding a repair company who had any available technician to come out to my house and again called LG for help. I was told that because I live so far away in NJ, they can't find too many companies to service my area. I asked what can be done and was told there is nothing they can do, but did provide some more names and phone numbers of repair services. I called and finally found one who could not schedule a service until Wednesday, July 9th. I called LG again and told them that I have 3 children and I work full time and have nowhere to store food or even milk for my kids. I was once again told that there is nothing they can do and that I need to wait for the repair service. The technician came on July 9th and advised that the condenser was leaking gas and he would need to order the part which would take about 5 days to arrive and then I would have to schedule a technician to come out to fix it. I immediately called LG again to tell them what the problem is and asked to speak with their corporate office since customer service couldn't do anything for me. They refused to give me the phone number for their corporate office, but did transfer me to someone who claimed to be from the corporate office. I explained the problem and asked if I can have my fridge replaced since that may be faster and with a major problem such as the condenser leaking on a new fridge does not seem right. I was told by Leroy at LG that they run a business and it's not their policy to replace appliances and that they do not guarantee the parts in any of their appliances and basically there is nothing they can do. I explained the human aspect regarding my 3 children and while the person (Leroy) listened to me, he proceeded to tell me again that they run a business and there is nothing he can do about my problem. He couldn't even help in expediting the part in order to get my fridge fixed as quickly as possible, or even to offer a loaner until the fridge is fixed. Meanwhile, I've been out of a fridge in my home for 8 days already. I called customer service again on July 10th to ask for help, and was told that there is nothing they can do so I again asked to speak with their corporate office. I was transferred to "Willie" who told me that while they understand the problem, there is nothing they can do. It's now day 10 without a refrigerator in my home with 3 children and it's summer. I have no idea where to turn to next. I will never again purchase anything made by LG. They're the worst company I've ever dealt with. Buyer beware!!!

  91. Bought a 70 inch LED 3d HDTV with Smart link in June of 2012 - Only to have it go out in 23 months. LG does not give a damn how you scream and holler they won't repair or even act like they care. The cost to repair is $2100???? We paid $2900 for the TV and only watched in for about 6 months total, due to the fact it sits up front in our unused family room. I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG Appliance again.

  92. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get a replacement part for an LG refrigerator. Could spend well over 2 hours talking about how awful the experience was, without any results other than they don't make that part any more. Also, most of the customer service folk were impossible to understand!! The worthwhile part of all of this is that we know never, ever to buy an LG product! So in the end, the lesson learned was invaluable.

  93. On Dec 2007 Purchase all my home applicatice from LG. I purchase a refrigator, dishwasher, micromave and stove, I was very proud of LG. Very happy with my appliances. I show to all my friends. The lre30755st/01 Stainless Steel Stove Range , It a glass top. The glass top has broken 3 times with in the last 3 years, by just cooking meals. I paid to replace it once and the other 2 time LG warranty cover the cost. The last time LG extend the warranty and cover was Oct 2013 replacing of glass top. Now it Sept 2014 and broken again LG will not paid. Only 6 -1/2 years has going by and LG glass top is broken again. LG should build stove that broke so easy and the inside of the oven which is blue is peeling off. I will never buy from this company again. Repair my stove. Special the glass top all I want it. I can do without the oven because I only baked one a year. But don't build any more those blue oven inside and glass top. That paint will gets some sick I will not use the oven again.

  94. Truly THE most horrible "customer service" ever. None of the contact methods work. "Live chat" is supposed to be available M-F 8AM-8PM M-F but at 6PM it says "LG Live Chat is currently offline. Our Chat hours are 8am-8pm CT Monday thru Friday Please contact Customer Service blah blah we regret inconvenience." Then below that is a box saying

    "Due to system maintenance, Live Chat representatives will not be available until 230 PM CD 07092012, we apologize for this inconvenience." Right. They havent even bothered to take down a notice from two years ago. As if it explained something.

    SO, we try to call. Get a guy in another country who says he'll transfer me, and 20 minutes later I'm still on hold. Listening to a bad 15-second music loop over and over and over and over and over.

    So, try the email! But wait, you have to specify exactly which product you're contacting them about before you can even send the email. And NONE of the choices is for model I have -- 37LB4DS. No way to get past that. It won't even let you skip the question, you must pick one of their [wrong] answers to get through. Okay, try that. Ooops, after 3 days no reply to the email either.

    Why would anyone EVER buy anything from this company? If it breaks or acts up you're totally on your own, never mind their "customer service" promises.

  95. WORST, WORST customer service, the lady would not let me speak to her manager, she told me procedure was for chain of command to stop with her. We got an air conditioner and spent a pretty penny and it barely lasted 2 years. Customer service did not want to help nor could i understand what she was saying. I can not believe how awful I was treated and how THEY did NOT want to help with the problem. I was told they would find someone in my hometown to fix it, but for me to foot the bill. This company totally disgusts me.
