  3. Worst Customer Service EVER!!!! I used this service once and never again. I had to get the Corporate office involved to get my flight seating done correctly. I will not mention that I had done a package deal for the hotel and car rental. Those were canceled within 24 hours. I was on the phone off and on for two days.. a total of 16 hours!!! Stay away from Expedia.com. For those that are looking for a resolution to their problems: Ter 3 Customer Service Phone Number: 866-510-9715 7 days a week/5am-10pm PST

  4. I agree with the WORST customer service, spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get a resolution to an EXPEDIA mistake
not mine and after getting disconnected twice and 3 hours later they told me sorry but there is nothing they could do.
Do yourself a BIG favor and ALWAYS book directly with the airline, hotel, rental car etc. Even if it appears to be a bit less money, trust me it's NOT worth the hassle. Expedia offers free show vouchers to lure you in then when you try to redeem they suddenly tell you it's too late, even though we did EXACTLY as the Expedia person told us to do. TERRIBLE
customer service, after speaking with several representitives (who spoke very poor english, very difficult and frustrating to understand) finally got ahold of W. Powers higher up on the chain of command and he had no
intention or desire to help, 3 hours of my time WASTED!!!
    STAY AWAY FROM EXPEDIA!!!

Expedia has the WORST COSTOMER SERVICE. I SPENT 3 1/2 HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM.The agent who booked my trip to Euorpe, told me should I book with her at that moment she would upgrade my hotel room reservations at no coast to me. When I printed my conformation of trip, it had no upgrades to it. So when I called to ask about it, I was hung up on 3x and I had to call back each time to figure out why I didn't get the upgrade as promised at the booking and why I was being hung up on and not getting a call back. I will never use Expedia ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say away!!!!!!! They wanted to charge me the upgrades. So dont use Expedia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. this morning I tried to book a hotel for 3 days through Expedia and after entering all info the site said I would have to try later. I exited the site and called the hotel direct and ended up making reservations with them (saved a lot of dollars). 30 minutes later I recieved a confirmation later from Expedia and they had charded my account the full amount. I called and they said they would refund my account within 7 days. Make your own decision about Expedia and check out all the negative reviews.

  7. your ad on tv is offensive in the extreme! No matter what "religion" a person professes - a baseball field and/or game is NOT one of them!!! My suggestion is that you re-check your ads and pull this one.

  8. AARP/Expedia has an advertised cruise price on their web page for $679 per person and after selecting that cabin and entering all information to book the cruise and its time to pay, the price jumps to $929 per person. After talking with their customer support, they tried to blame Norwegian for the problem, saying all the cabins at that price are sold out. This isn't Norwegian advertising the price, it is Expedia and after an hour on the phone, much on hold, they told me there is nothing they can do. This is fraud in advertising!

  9. The worst experience I have in booking flights. After book a flight and pay for i, few days later the booked flights were gone, after an hour of long distance call they say that nothing can be done, so I am waiting for my money back. Our trip was destroyed by them.

  10. Devalued FORMER CustomerDecember 6, 2012 at 8:36 AM

The customer service at Expedia is despicable. I, too, spend all afternoon on the phone with them. I was disconnected three times and put on hold for ridiculously long periods of time, only to be told there was nothing they could do. I don't think this company realizes it is in the service industry. With so many online companies to choose from, there is NO REASON why anyone should deal with one that does not value its customers. Unfortunately, not only did they waste hours of my time, but they ruined my trip before we even traveled.

  11. Never, use this service. This is incompetence at it's best and lots of lies. Prices jump and they attempt to charge you based on their mistakes. The worst part is this all happened to my husband and I as we tried to get to his father who was in a coma and we did not have the extra money to pay. I was even told that there helpdesk had a problem accepting the payment when really they wanted two hundred dollars more which they blamed on the airlines.

  13. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY PRANK PHONE CALLED ME BACK!!! I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH A YOUNG LADY WHO OBVIOUSLY DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL. SHE ASKED ME THE SAME QUESTION 3 TIMES, LEFT ME ON HOLD FOREVER, THEN CAME BACK AND SAID WHERE DID I WANT TO LOOK FOR HOTELS AGAIN. THEN WHEN I DECIDED ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH, I THANKED HER FOR HER TIME AND SAID I WOULD CALL THE HOTEL MYSELF. A FEW MINUTES LATER I RECIEVED A CALL BACK AND THE PERSON ON THE OTHER LINE SAID "IN YOUR FACE" AND HUNG UP, I RECIEVED ANOTHER CALL A FEW MINUTES LATER FROM THE SAME NUMBER MAKING SOME STUPID CAT MEOW NOISES. I RECIEVED ANOTHER CALL BACK FROM ANOTHER NUMBER BUT DIDN'T ANSWER IT. WHEN I CALLED BOTH THE NUMBERS BACK IT SAID THIS IS FOR OUTGOING CALLS ONLY, PLEASE SEE YOUR ITINERARY OR OUR WEBSITE FOR FURTHER DETAILS!! WHY IS EXPEDIA EMPLOYEES CALLING PEOPLE BACK AND PRANK CALLING THEM! UNFRICKEN BELIEVABLE!!! NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS!! BELIEVE THAT!

    2. I do believe your story, with the way I was treated by Expedia "customer service". They are not even located in the United States. They are costing our country jobs, but that is not the point I am trying to make here. No compassion/empathy/good service at the other end of that line. I have worked in customer service and I would sympathize with the customer and try to help them as best I could as if it were myself or family. Expedia has it's "eye on the prize" and is just looking out for number 1 if you know what I mean. You feel like you are dealing with cold robots. Anyway, here is my story:
A hotel stay was supposed to be canceled and was not. When I realized I was being checked into the hotel (by an elusive email from Expedia that did not even mention details and the hotel was booked so long ago so I ignored it) I went to call Expedia and there was no phone number listed anywhere (because they were having issues and did not want to deal with angry customers) I had to message them through their website to get a call back. The automated response basically said "don't call us we'll call you". They did not call in the 7-14 minute they said would be wait time for the call back , I sent an email. I got a response they would respond within 24 hours. When this did not happen I researched for the phone number and waited over half an hour to speak to customer service. I explained my situation, livid by now, and they called the hotel and then told me they could not refund because my stay was already in progress. Since I talked to the hotel already, they offered to give me half a refund and Expedia told me I would get $50 credit toward a future hotel for my inconvenience. When I asked how I would receive this, she offered no guidance or explanation. I had to press her for more details - I had no proof of this credit - would it just be there when I went to book another hotel?? She just said yes. Frustrated and tired, I ended the call, vowing never to use Expedia again. My husband said we should try to book a hotel on the credit to use it about a month or two later. It did not show up on my account, so I called Expedia again, reluctantly. I got the old "No maam, there is no credit on your account. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" He was actually trying to coerce me into booking a hotel, and I politely told him I will not be using Expedia again. He said "Ok, thank you for using Expedia, have a great day". They are happy because they got an upset customer off the phone and got to keep some of my money.
I feel like I woke up from a nightmare, but I know there are more stories out there with even greater loss and frustrations. I feel for you.

  14. Give yourself a favor when it's not too late.
Like others said the phone calls saga is horrible.
For us, they booked us in two separate flights and didn't tell us when we call them to book the trip.
It would cost us more a thousand dollars to change their mistake.
    Stay away from expedia!!!

  16. Have spent that last 4 hous on the phone with a snotty customer service agent who had an accent so thick I could only understand 1/4 of what they were saying, and I work at immigration, so accents are not usually a problem. Expedia screwed up a hotel reservation in Winnipeg so badly, that it is going to cost me over $1200 for a mistake that they made. Seriously, you can even write this stuff. I have spent per $26,000 on flights and gorgeous with them in 2012 for business, and the do not care that they are losing my business.

  17. I don't believe this will have any affect since I have lost all faith in expedia..have already filed with the BBB and Attorney General's office, to no avail. I am being UNFAIRLY penalized for a MISTAKE I made; and which I corrected immediately, to the tune of $750. This may not be a lot of money to Expedia, but it is to me. I made reservations on 24 Sep at 8:58 on-line for the Ramada BWI MD and immediately recognized I'd made a mistake, booking for 7 nights instead of 3 nights the following weekend. I instantly, within ten minutes, cancelled this reservation and have emails from hotelsone. In all my efforts to get my money back, I have been told I cancelled AFTER the check in time on the 24th, which of COURSE is true because I didn't make the reservation til 8:58 pm on the 24th and cancelled at 9:08. Should I REALLY be charged for all 7 nights. I guess Expedia has found some kind of loophole to steal people's money, but trust me, I will warn all my friends, coworkers, etc...never to use Expedia, that they use unfair business practices to RIP people off. attorney general of MD case MU-223703 (p.s. I also have an email from hotelsone saying my reservation never went thru and I should not have been charged at all; however the Ramada is unwilling to refund my money. YOU took my money, you should be the ones to get it back and I can't believe a company like Expedia wouldn't do this as a goodwill gesture when it is very obvious I made a small mistake.

  19. YESSSSSSSSSSS never trust Expedia.... i have lost enough money in my last booking.... and if you do a small mistake they will be happy... and never reply back to you.... i lost my money in my last booking and it is last deal with them..... pay little extra with the airlines for ticket and you make sure you have a safe flight. also for hotels whihc they are not lower price as they says...

  20. I just resolved my issue with them after 8 (eight) phone calls total and 3 1/2 hours of phone time with them. I was lucky enough to get a representative that cared to do the right thing and call the hotel and get a waiver for the 1 day stay totaling 143.00 dollars. Of course with my situation I had made the cancellation 2 hours before the 4 pm deadline and had the confirmation e-mail with the date and time stamp proving it. I had seven phone calls where they would simply disconnect the call on me, after telling me to speak to a supervisor. Make sure when you deal with customer service from the first phone call that you record the conversation, because they can put what ever they want in the call notes and use it against you. Contact them right away and stand up for your self and do not back down or let them convince you that it was your falt. BBB does work because it effects their rating. Facebook is another avenue that allows 1000 of people to see what they are doing and to beware. So becareful when making last minute reservations as with most search engines they have 24 or 48 prior notice cancellation polices and if you book for the next day you will be stuck. Good Luck. 22. Lame Rewards Program

Receive 1 point for every $1 spent. You need at least 3,500 points in order to get $25 coupon. This means that you need to spend $3,500 to get $25 discount or appx. $150 to get $1 in discount. This is absolutely PATHETIC!!! I've been a loyal Expedia customer for decades and appreciated the occasional $25, $50...coupons being dropped in my account. That no longer happens because some customers were using the same coupon for multiple times. Expedia needed to update their technology to better control that but instead decided to penalize loyal customers by canceling coupon programs. As a result, Expedia will loose valuable customers and market shares!

  23. Expedia boasts of it's presence in many countries but they cannot help a customer who traveled to a foreign country needing help but they kept mentioning they cannot help because the ticket was not booked with them. I am very surprised with expedia claiming to be world no 1 but system wise it cannot support a foreigner in need of help. I am sure they know the cost to call back my home country...

  27. I booked a hotel through expedia about 4 weeks ago and when I wanted to change the reservation to a week later, same room, same hotel, no problems, just a week later, I have been given the run around since 8AM and it's now 2:10PM, I have spoken to several people and they're all telling me different stories. Finally called the Corporate office and I'm still on hold, going on 10 minutes. Worst experience ever in my life by far. Not happy with their service at all. I must've called 10 different phone numbers. I want these people's job, unbelievable

  29. I booked two nights close to the hospital where my wife was having medical care.I received confirmation #, address and directions from hospital to the hotel. after she was released from the hospital told to go rest in bed and return the next day, we drove straight to the hotel to be told we we had no reservations there and they were full. Expedia had booked us in another hotel 6 hours drive away. I called Expedia from the parking lot they admitted someone made a mistake, and they would find us a room and call back never got the call. I called them 12 times
after explaining my problem I was put on hold for a manager they would hang up each time. I had to drive two hours in rush hour traffic to a relatives house. then return to the hospital the next morning. Worst experience of my life and worse for my wife. Spent the following days trying to reach customer service, again I was put on hold and then hung up on The Corp.office does not answer. I have spoken to many customer service people who don't care and will not return my calls but will put me on hold and hang up. We really needed the room then now we want our money returned .Charging us for there mistake that put my wife's health in jeopardy is wrong.

  30. I booked a trip through Expedia for 8/5/14 to Tampa Florida. I had paid them for a Super shuttle when I arrived to Tampa, to take me to the hotel. When I arrive nothing was reserved. After arriving back to New York. I called Expedia for a refund. The workers were so ruide, as if I had taken something away from them. I was hunged up on twice and left on hold for 15min. Please be careful when booking with them. They are not worth it.

  31. I am a retire Law Enforcement Officer in Nebraska. I booked a rental car (Economy Car Rental ) thru Expedia for July 23 at LAX. I had a confirmed reservation thru Expedia. When I arrived at the car rental counter near the airport I was told there were NO CARS AVAILABLE. They wouldn't upgrade me to a higher level car. The car rep gave me no explanation. They did say they would reimburse me the difference in cost after I found another company to rent a car from (I had to send them the receipt after my trip). A week after my trip Economy Car Rental did send me a CHECK but it BOUNCED. I tried repeatedly to get Expedia involved but the customer service rep would only give me the car rental company's phone number. I called Expedia several times trying to move up the chain of command but the reps would hear my story and then I would conveniently be hung up on.

  34. Expedia change my flights due to a 1 minute schedule change and constantly said it was the Airline. There are 9 people traveling together and only my flights were changed. Please see case E-8295279. I spoke today with your Manager Irving Noche and he claimed he spoke with US Airways and was told that the original return flights were canceled and that the 7 other people need to contact US Airways to be rebooked. I again called US AIR to get seat assignments and again checked about the status of the original return flights. The agent double checked and said the flights are still operational and were not canceled. Your manager (who I was going to write a complimentary letter to you about) lied to me. Please contact me cell #781-706-8360 or email maryann.koz@gmail.com
    I'll wait for your response.
