Kroger’s Role in the Grocery Retail Industry

Kroger plays a significant role in the grocery retail industry in the United States, offering a comprehensive range of products including fresh food, pantry items, health and beauty products, and more. The Competitive Landscape of Grocery Retail and Kroger’s Position

Kroger sets itself apart with its wide selection of private-label products, customer loyalty programs, and a growing emphasis on organic and natural products. The brand’s focus on innovation, particularly in online grocery shopping and delivery services, helps maintain its relevance in the evolving retail landscape. Kroger is famous for its chains of grocery stores. Kroger Brand Stores include Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Jay C, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs, and Smith’s. Kroger is one of the premier food retailers in the USA.

Kroger Digital Coupons

Digital coupons are discriminatory. If you don’t have a smartphone you’re out of luck. It should be attached to your Kroger card. It makes people feel stupid and singles out mostly older shoppers. I will stop shopping the Springfield Kroger store. Shame on Kroger corporation for being so inconsiderate of your older shoppers and those who can’t afford smart phones. I’m rallying my friends to boycott Kroger.

Kroger Online Coupon Issue

BIG Issues…almost ready to shop elsewhere!

We shop at the Peoria, IL store 80014. It takes me 45 minutes to get on the site every time. Tonight they would not accept my email address–the same one I have used all along. When I finally get on they have me at a store in AZ. I have to change it every time. The final straw is that they won’t let me use coupons when I shop in-store. Tonight they emptied my basket and I had to redo the list on paper but I won’t get any coupons. I like shopping at the store but these problems have almost finished me off.

PS I save between 15 and 20 dollars with coupons and sale items. We need that money!

Kroger Unsafe Display and Uncooperative Management

Rated 1.0 out of 5

I just left the Kroger at 5665 Hwy 9, Aloharetta Ga 30004 after injuring my eye socket on a diagonal, mid-aisle black basket display. I reached for a jiffy muffin mix and missed the top edge of a thin, black wire (yes I saw the Pam, but not the hard edge of basket). I hit my orbital bone hard! I cried out in pain. I found a janitor sweeping the next aisle over and told him and Showed him. I asked that he move this diagonal basked out if the way. He did. I then went to the front desk, asking for a manager. I got a kid named Tate, who looks to be all of 19-20. He rolled his eyes when I told him I wanted the store manager and district manager info. Then along came “Inessa”. I repeated the story, asked if she was the manager and was told she was a “leader” she refused the info, and I insisted on showing her the unsafe display. She saw it, and moved it right back to the unsafe position that caused my injury, She offered to file a claim, but I refused as what I wanted was the district manager info, I shop there 3 or more times a week and don’t want to see unsafe displays where I’m reaching for items. Again she refused to give me any info and offered to call the police as I raised my voice repeating my request, I am upset that when asked for a store manager to show an unsafe display, I was refused, and when asking to escalate, I was refused. Poor training, poor displays, and poorly trained employees! I am now developing a black eye in time for my honeymoon that I leave on tomorrow!

Kroger Has Better Customer Service

I am usually a Meijer’s customer. The one thing I like about Meijer’s is

the aisle’s are wider and I am handicapped so I use a cart. People stop and talk and you can’t get through the aisle at Kroger’s. I want to say that Kroger’s has better customer service. There is a cashier named Jen and a bagger named Nick that are incredible. Jen is the nicest ,polite and efficient cashier I have ever been to. She scans everything correctly and she always show me the check I had the register write out. She always offers me help out. The bagger ,Nick always packs my groceries with care . He put like stuff in the bags and he doesn’t make them so heavy .There is also another women named Charz that told me where Strawberry glaze was and went and returned the product to me, All three of these people made my shopping experience wonderful. I am now going to give this Kroger location my business. We love Jenn the pharmacist. We didn’t switch our pharmacy when covid was going on because of her. Hiring and keeping this type of staff makes a difference. So great job to the store manager. You should use the Kroger’s on 6388 Branch hill- Guinea pike a training store because they are doing everything correctly. I was at Kroger’s on 3-29-2023 at 9:14 am
