    FM: Concerned Customer

    Sir,Ma'am,

On Saturday, August 27, 2011 at approximately 6pm I went to shop at WalGreens located at 38th and High School Road. I bought razors and ice cream. I asked the clerk to get the razors for me because they were locked. After she got them she said, "I'll sit them on the cash register while you shop." I said, "I can carry my own razors." She said the store policy would not let me carry my razors around. We argued about this situation and she said she'd call the Asst. Manager. The Asst. Manager came. I told him that I can carry my own razors. He said, "Its against our store policy to allow that." I said, "That's the most racist policy I've heard of in my life." Other stores I've shopped at did not have that policy. There is a large concentration if Blacks and Latinos in that area, and I was called a thief. The Asst. Manager said,"Don't pull the race card on me." I said, "Ok, let me see your policy." He said, "It wasn't written it was just 'understood' as an unwritten policy." I said, "There are things in this store that cost 5-10x's more than some $8.99 no frills razors. Why don't you have a policy stating we can't carry those items around the store?" I understand having the razors locked, but once I want to buy a pack I shouldn't be demeaned by telling me I can't carry merchandice around while I shop for other items. I was highly insulted and appalled not only as a man, but as a Black man with a career and that is a law abiding citizen. Eventually, he did allow me to carry my razors. I'm a grown man in my late 40's. I was highly insulted.

Continued fm Concerned Customer-Saturday, August 27,2011 at approximately 6pm.

I shop at WalGreens a lot. I probably spend $100 a month at your store. I do understand that's a drop in the buckect compared to what others spend. However, if racist policies continue to occur I will spend my hard earned cash elsewhere and let people know the insensitivity of WalGreen's corporations and stores. I hope this issue is resolved. Concerned Customer.

    1. Some Walgreens have a very high theft rate and they put these policies in affect to help out other customers.because when people steal every one else has to suffer because prices will go up. don't blame walgreens because of this policy. blame other people to come to the store and steal merchandise.I am black and there is no race card here.

    2. It is 2012. I cant stand people playing the race card nowdays. Enjoy your razors sir.

    3. Oh of course there is NO RACE CARD.. because there is NO RACISM in America??!!! REALLY IDIOT?

    4. Over the edge! The other evening I went to the usual Walgreens and bought only a couple things and wanted $5.00 cash back. Simple thing right? WRONG!! anywhere else one goes and wants cash back thats the first thing that pops up on the card swipe device. NOT AT WALGREENS! NO THEY HAVE A HEART DONATION THERE INSTEAD AND IF YOU DONE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY, YOU CAN EASILY MAKE A GENEROUS DONATION TO THE HEART FOUNDATION AND NOT GET ANY CASH BACK! Who ever put thaton there should be strung up! CVS is my new pharmacy right across the street!! Bye Walgreens, put your hands in my pocket no more!!

    5. You need to contact the corporate office with a hard copy/snail mail to really get a honest response. Companies really respond to that a lot better. I write a lot and found that to be more true then email or this. Every state is different with policies. Here in Wisconsin razors are out in the open for consumers to grab. I understand where your coming from and it is not right for them to deny you the razors as you go about shopping. Good Luck.

    6. That's actually policy. Although it does depend on the neighborhood. When I worked in the city I was talked to b/c I didnt walk it up the reg. & was told it defeats the purpose to just hand it to the customer. When I worked in a nice suburb it was the exact opposite.

    8. I would like to know why it's so difficult to obtain my medications monthly that I need for 6 back operations. I am tired of doing the Walgreens hunt every month. I am tired of being stressed every month if I am going to be able to get them. I NEED these meds for a quality of life, from what my pharmacist tells me she is very embarrassed to keep telling the customers that they don't have anything and they are behind and several orders were actually cancelled by Walgreens. Who the HELL decides this? I am going to start going to a smaller pharmacy from now on. after 17 yrs Walgreens you have lost a valued customer because Walgreens just doesn't care. I live in Fla and it's not my fault about the pill mills and the crooked Dr's and the drug addicts that come from up North.

Okay, to the brave ANONYMOUS ALL CAPS NINJAS AGAINST ALL THINGS WALGREENS: A policy that was implemented to prevent an honest man's carrying of razors does NOT (since you nony's love CAPS...) give you an opening to bitch about Walgreens' support efforts for charity. Sorry you can't navigate the buttons when you check out. No wonder you didn't list your name when you posted about 'accidentally making a generous donation'... I would either, if I were half the human you seem to be. Oh, I'm Regina. Regina Hodge. I'm applying to be a vendor at Walgreens. I have two dogs. I live in Tennessee. 2. On 7/16/11 I had two perceptions filled one for 10mg of XXXXXX and 20mg of XXXXXX I took the perceptions home and placed them in the lineup of pills I have to take each morning. I started having issues and I sought medical attention on the 08/11/11 at which time I was taken out work. On the 08/25/11 while checking may perceptions I discovered that they had filled the 20mg had been filled twice so I had been taking 40mg a day instead of 30mg a day. I contacted District Manager for the store at 7221 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL32205. I was told that I would be contacted by your insurance company within 48 hours because I have incurred monetary and personal loses due to this error. I have not been contacted at all. I have now decided that if I am contacted by 09/05/11 I will seek legal representation and I will place a bumper sticker on my truck that says “Let me tell you how a Walgreen’s pharmacy messed up my prescription and what it cost me. no4se@comcast.net” My number is (904) 314-9865.

  5. I have been working with a young man, Brian Kemp,at the Walgreen store at HWY 54 and Dean Dairy Road in Zephyrhills, FL. He has assisted me in developing DVDs for my grandchildren for Christmas. First he has a great knowledge of the procedure, has instructed me to accomplish 4 DVDs with 4 more to go. In addition to providing me support to accomplish this I've seen him do multiple tasks in the store especially to improve the store's appearance. I am retired and I thought "wow" I would have loved to have an individual like Brian to have worked for me. You are lucky to have him on your staff. He is probably the most efficient employee I've dealt with in this area for the past four years....Go Brian.....A very happy customer.

Why is there no Walgreen's in Morton, Il? Here is a city of almost 17,000 people and no Walgreen's. The nearest is in East Peoria which is 10 miles away. There is prime property in Morton, close to the interstate and close to Walmart. We have a CVS, K-Mart and Walmart..all of which have no drive through service. Please look into this..I have written to your company before but to no avail. We need a Walgreen's!!!

    1. Blame that on the city of Morton. Walgreens wanted to build, but where they wanted to build the city told them no go. If you notice almost every walgreens is on a corner.

  12. The following message was taken from your website:

"Q: What are Walgreens company values?
    A:Our Values
Based on the principles upon which Walgreens was founded more than a century ago:
Honesty, trust, and integrity with our customers, our shareholders, suppliers, the communities we serve, and among ourselves.
Quality through consistent and reliable service, advice, and products across every touchpoint and channel.
Caring, compassionate and driven to delivering a great customer and patient experience through outstanding service and a desire for healthy outcomes.
A strong community commitment and presence built through service, expertise, and the personal engagement of every Walgreen team member."

We have been a landscape vendor for the Meridian, MS store for approximately two years now with no issues (store #07580). We were recently told our services were no longer needed so that a company out of Jackson, MS (90 minutes away) could take over as the landscape contractor for the two Meridian, MS stores. You decided to do away with local vendors; people from the same population that you depend on to keep you in business. Instead, you gave the business to a vendor in Jackson, MS who will never send his friends or family to your stores in our area to do business. I understand as a corporate giant you could care less about the little guy or even the local guy....it is all about the ease of writing one check as opposed to many. However, in the defense of myself and the other local contractor you kicked to the curb for the ease of accounting, I would like to say that you should greatly consider removing your so called "Community Commitment" portion from your website. You have no intention of being part of our community and your actions will definitely be known among our friends at the local chamber of commerce. We feel it necessary to educate them on how Walgreens conducts local business, so that more of them will be aware and will be more inclined to use our local pharmacies.

  13. I am following the story in Lowell Ma regarding the new Wallgreens and it's refusal to hook a sewer line in for over 1000+ soccer kids next to their new store. This was on the table with your builder and now he refuses to tie in. These bathrooms overflow and cannot be used during the week. This has become a major political issue in this City because the president of Lowell Youth Soccer is a City Councilor. There are letters to the Editor, bloggers are writing about what a poor corporate co Wallgreens is and they will not patronize your store. I for one will be taking my business elsewhere. I have been a customer with your pharmacy since you opened your store on Plain st and I use the Walgreens in Jupiter Florida, this will stop. This is a PR nightmare for Walgreens, with all your money you can't tie in a sewer line in order to make a 1000 kids plus their parents and families happy. Do the right thing, your builder is not doing your reputation any favors by acting in such a stubborn way. This is causing a lot of bad publicity for your company. CVS anyone!!!

I have been verbally attacked by employees and belittled by them , as a customer who uses coupons, do not tell your customers they are thieves and refuse their coupons!!! You are paid by the companies for the products...make sure your employees understand what the policy is. It is a disgrace for your company to even have illiterate cashiers who think they can demean your customers and then can not even count change!! I am on many blogs that say how great you all are when it comes to couponers....well, I am personally emailing all of them and hope to boycott your stores completely! My local news stations are also being notified of how you treat customers on a daily basis! CVS is much better and more intelligent staff!

The person that was filling in (not sure that she was a nurse never identified herself) refused to take my blood pressure. She said that I have been there two or three times in the past and they have a policy on how many times blood pressure can be taken for free. I would have paid her to help me as I'm trying to get the blood pressure under control, but she was very dismissive. I know my blood pressure went up after my encounter with this individual. florida and the delivery place is in Arizona.
since then i have made numerous calls to get off the auto refill, the website shows that auto refill is off and I have been reassured that I will not be getting anything unless i call it in, since then I have received two medications that i didn't order. Is there anyone at walgreens who has half a brain and knows what they are doing ??? if so, i sure would like to know about it. I won't even go in a walgreens store anymore . 20. I just returned from Walgreens #06672 at 909 David Drive in Metairie. I was there to return a product that I purchased last week. There was only one cashier working. The person in front of me had a coupon for $1.00 off of the product she was purchasing; however, the cashier did not know how to ring up the coupon and had to call the manager. Her call was not answered. She tried again and said she did not know how to do it and would have to get help. Finally the assistant manager, Chad, came to the register They finally got it to work for her but he had to go get his key to do my refund. After he walked off, the cashier, Shelley, proceeded to take the next customer in line. I asked her "Can't you do this?" She mouthed off to me in a very loud voice. I told her that she had a really bad attitude and was very rude. By this time the assistant manager returned and told me that they always take the next customer in line when they have to wait on something for the current transaction. He also had a very bad attitude and I told him so. His reply was, "look, I am doing this and I'm off the clock". I told him that it was not my fault and he should not speak to me in such a manner. I won't be going back to Walgreens.

After being in the ER for 6 hrs we drove to walgreens to get his prescription. He had anaphylactic shock and needed his prescription asap. We got to Walgrees around 1:50 am. Immediately, the man at counter said they didn't accept our insurance (blue cross ppo) since January 2012. We told him that can't be because my husband just had his prescription filled 2 months ago! He then said that our insurance didn't Connery the prescription without inputting the information. after going back n fourth he finally pulled up our information n said we're covered! We waited 15 minutes. He told us they only carried 2 eppi-pens (prescription was for only one). He told us to go check at different Walgreens tomorrow. We said we didn't want to wait since my husband had very serious allergic reaction. We called the ER room n doctor wanted him to fax form saying Walgreens only carried 2. He didn't want to fax the form. He said ohhhh the ER will take forever you shoulf just go to.a diffetent walgreens because its going to take a very, very long time. He then said but most likely walgreens will only carry 2. he went back to watching the internet our TV. He seemed like he was to busy doing something else. It's now 3:01am n i'm sorting here with my daughter n husband. He's being very difficult. I'm in disbelief how he tried to turn us away! He clearly sees us waiting patiently but he can care less. It's almost like he's annoyed that we're trying to fill our prescription n interrupting his quiet night shift. I'm switching my pharmacy after this. I spend hundreds of dollars at walgreens every year but I won't be now n I'm yelling everyone about this! I'm very upset n disappointed! Please email me at nancy_kia@yahoo.com

I called my insurance and they said they never denied the script. 1. Pharmacists have the right to say to no filling your prescription. The FDA can ale their license away if the pharmacist is giving out controlled medicines early or are filling prescriptions that aren't appropriate for filling. Some pharmacists are more conservative because they want to follow the laws, and it is actually their right! You are wrong saying that

I am writing to ask if it is at all possible to spend some time in your Walgreens store, number 3770 in El Cerrito California. I live close to this particular store & would frequent it more often if the customer service was at least bearable. I have however been present enough times in this store to ask that employee trainings in particular for customer service is implemented as soon as possible.

There is a total attitude towards providing a good, quality service to people who are spending money in this store. If you were to read Yelp as part of your improving your services it would be quite clear that this store is in need of employees who care, are polite and are willing to work when on the job.

Too often this has not been the case especially within the photo dept.

I hope that my writing to you after a number of attempts to speak to a person in the store, who had no clue what was happening and after calling the store to speak to a manager, who did not pick up you will take some kind of action to improve this neighborhood store.

This was originally sent to your corporate email but since it came back to me I hope you will take note of my email/comments

    Yours sincerely

    Jacki M

  30. Today, June 6,2012 In went to Walgreens in Muskegon, Mi on the corner Of Getty and Apple to pick up my perscription that I had left yesterday to be filled. I was told that the medicine (a jell for my muscel spasms)perscript for me wasn't in stock and they would order it and I could pick up today. This evening I went to pick up medicine and it wasn't in. I was told to come back tomorrow. Now I am beginning to wonder if it was ordered. I really need mh medicine. The employees has gotten so they have no interest in their customers. I have been a customer for several years but the service is getting terrible. I will move my service to another pharmcy. I, Luella Gilbert is very displeased with their service. Many times in the past I have waited until next day service.

I have muscel spasms in my neck and I am in dire need for my medicine. This isn"t the first time this has happen. The employees in the pharmacy take no interest in their customer. It's too much kidding around to perfect their job. I really hate ti complain but this matter is getting serious. I have been a long standing customer with Walgreens Pharmacy but if this continue I will go elsewhere. Muscle spasms is very painful.

  32. My Name is Hiramitta Perez and I am quite concern because I got my prescriptions refilled in Clearwater Florida and in Harbor City California, but when I came back home to Puerto Rico a buy the same prescription in Humacao Puerto Rico and it cost me double what I payed in the states. Now I know there are some fees that need to come up because of import costs buy DOUBLE. My insurance does not cover my carisoprodol 350mg anymore and I have to use it because of my back issues. But why pay so much? I payed in Florida and in California $12.00 with some change for a 30 prescription, why does it cost me $30.16 in Puerto Rico for the same amount. I haved always been a customer of Walgreens because of the accessability to get all of it with no hassle while I am traveling, but I am really considering going with CVS Pharmacy because this is so unfare.

  33. Dear customer relations,
This morning I went to the Walgreens located on Pines Blvd. And Douglas Rd. In Pembroke Pines, Florida. I have never had a problem in any of the Walgreens that I've shopped at in the past, except for today. I went there to fill a couple of prescriptions for my wife that had just gotten out of the hospital the day before, I got to the pharmacy counter and the Pharmacist asked if she could help me, I said yes and gave her two scrips, then I gave her all the information that she requested, she then said to me it would be 20 minutes and replayed ok, I'll wait for them. It was fine up until 20 minutes had gone by and all I did was Stan and walked over to the counter when the Pharmacist saw me and again if she could help me, I responded, I was waiting for the prescription, at that moment she responded back in a most unprofessional manner and bad attitude,"when I fill your prescription you'll get them". That was uncall for....all she had to say "just a couple of more minutes", in a nicer tone of voice. I understand that they are busy filling prescriptions and it takes time when a customer comes up to the counter, but she has to show that she is a professional And conduct herself with a positive attitude. I didn't get her name but she was the only black female pharmacist behind the counter this morning. As a customer all we ask from your employees is to be courteous and be treated with respect. Thank you for your time....

  34. To whom it may be concern,

I was at your 1333 Castro Street, SF, CA 94114 (Store ID 2088) location a few times. One of the staff in the name of Jonathan Ly is really disrespectful. I was trying to find an item and he seems like he doesn't want to help me. He just points at one direction and walks away. He's done that a few times. I don't know why you have him as an assistant manager and is not willing to satisfy customer's needs. Isn't customer's always a priority when it comes to customer service? He doesn't provide me any good customer service.

The next time when I went back to the same location, he was the one I saw on the sales floor so I asked him again about an item. He said he's on break, ignored my question, and walked away. When I walked over to the next aisle, I see him having fun with his colleagues. If he's on the sales floor, he's supposed to help customers and not to have fun. If he can't provide any customer service, why does he have to work as a customer service? I can see that this person doesn't take his job seriously. Work is work. Leave the fun outside of work.

I really don't want to write a complain about this person, but from these few times that I experienced with him, I don't think I want to go back to your store. I'm sorry to say, but I'll have to let others know how bad the customer service was at this particular location. Jonathan can be a hard worker, but I don't see that. The last few times I've been here, he seems like he's just having fun with his colleagues and not helping customers.

I hope you will improve your customer service.

    Regards,
    Cindy W.

  35. My husband and I had our prescriptions transferred to Walgreens in Rome NY. We've have nothing but trouble there filling our prescriptions. Our insurance company pays for 90 day refills and that makes it much easier for us since we both are taking many medications and are both disabled and unable to run back and forth to the drug store every few days. Walgreens refused to refill our prescriptions for the 90 days and told us a lie that our insuranace company didn't allow 90 day renewals. When in fact they do and they have filled them for 90 days for over 10 years. I called and checked if something had changed with our insurance company and they assured me that Walgreens was lying. They had never contacted my insurance company. The truth is Walgreens DOESN'T have a contract for 90 day supplies of drugs with our insurance company. A staff person at Walgreens sent me a nasty letter stating that my insurance co. will not allow 90 days and that no other drug store would allow it either. I transferred several thousand dollars worth of medicines out of Walgreens and over to Empire Drugs who was very happy to have my prescriptionsand my business and they filled them all with no problem for 90 day supply! Walgreens in Rome NY has nasty people working behind their prescription counter. They should only hire professionals who know how to deal with the public. I'll never go there again for anything. Just because of the way I was treated.

  36. I was in store #04776 with my 6 year old and carrying my 9 month old at 8pm on Monday night 6/18/12 to get baby formula. I walked every single aisle and not one employee could be found. I had to wait in line up front to get help called back to the baby aisle. I waited quite some time in that aisle and finally Beth showed up and asked what I needed. I told her the Alimentum baby formula that for some reason you now keep under lock and key to make it even more diffucult for customers to buy it since there are no employees on the floor and no one to ask. Beth opened the formula but refused to let me put it in my basket. She insisted that she would put it at the cosmetics counter for me instead. WHY?! There was obviously no one working in cosmetics that evening?! She treated me like I was going to steal the formula! I am in there almost weekly and always spend over $100 without even trying. I know several employees and always say hello: the light eyed young guy who runs register, the funny african american guy who hands out coupons on the weekends, the helpful african american lady from the pharmacy area who always helps me find certain vitamins, the two older ladies who always work in cosmetics and the nice looking guy who is always in the photo area. I have never seen Beth before and frankly she is not fit to deal with the public. I told her that there was no way that I was going to wait AGAIN in cosmetics for someone else who would never show up. Please picture that I am almost 6 months pregnant and also carrying a 20 pound child in my arms. So Beth insisted that I still could not have the formula and she would be taking it up front for me. Really?? When I passed her again I asked for her name and she only stated that she was the Manager. But I saw "Beth" on her name badge. I asked who her manager was and she said "Steve" but would not tell me anything else. She asked why I was so upset and I told her how difficult it is to have to travel the entire store looking for help and then to be treated like a criminal. She said that she "came as fast as she could" and she couldn't help that employees call off. No, but she is supposed to be the Manager so she should be responsible to adequately staffing the store or at least being on the floor if needed and not off hiding somewhere. Also, why on earth would she suggest taking the formula to the Cosmetics check-out when she CLEARLY knows that there is no employee working there tonight??

So I dragged everyone up front and the old lady behind the counter, who clearly was new, kept asking me if I wanted the formula? OF COURSE I WANT IT - I AM CARRYING A CHILD WITH ME WHO NEEDS IT!!! I asked the cashier (who laughed that she was the one who was supposed to be in Cosmetics tonight....oh so funny) for "Steve's" phone number which she could NOT provider. She said the store number would be printed on my receipt eventually. Very helpful. Also, she would not stop touching my child, that I had to stil down on the counter because a 5 minute trip in your store has now cost me 30 minutes of my time. She was offended when I asked her to stop touching my child and tried to THROW coupons at me as I was leaving.

Let me tell you that the condescending and callous behavior of these two employees has cost you a loyal customer. I did not visit Walgreens for your low prices or convenience. Acme is the same distance from my house and the Alimentum baby formula is only $27.99 at Acme and not $29.99 like it is at Walgreens.....and they do not lock it up!! I came for the small store feel and nice employees. But I'd rather go to Acme, pay less, not be treated like a criminal and not have to look for someone to unlock my items than to have to deal with a uptight snot like Beth ever again. She needs to be fired or you will continue to see your loyal clientele dwindle.

  37. I go to the walgreens in Dayton, Ohio. Its the one on Smithville Rd. They have had two accounts for me for a while. (no I have no clue how they managed that) but the other day while picking up my .25mg of synthroid (daw) they said they would combine them both so I only have one acct. Fine. Untill I went to refill the 200mg of synthroid. They said that it was gone and that my dr had to call it in.. Did that, well since they lost my pre-auth in the "fixing" of my account The insurance will not pay for it, but I can pick up the generic today.... Now why would I take meds that do nothing for me????????????? This is not the first time they screwed it up and my thyroid level bottomed out! Oh did I mention the fact that here in a couple of weeks I have to have a mass removed from my gallbladder and possibly part of my liver.. Yea I dont see that going well if I have no thyroid hormone in me! So Im here to promise you that if I die on that table because of something like this my daughter will own EVERY walgreens in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. I would like the corporate office to be aware of the numerous trips I must make for each photo pick-up due to the darkness of the photo. With each order I have to return for photos to be lightened. Is this a problem for all African American photos? I have spoken with other African Americans who refuse to use Walgreens for this reason. Walgreens is convenient for me, however, I am at the point of changing also. Viewing the photo would make one aware immediately that the process should be done. Have the photo machines changed? I hate making two trips for each photo order!! Help is needed in Fort Worth, Texas

And this is not the first time this has happened!! It is a pharmisist who has said it to me each time! They have lost refills, said we can't have meds on the day we know we can. They even said that it is up to the pharmisist as to when you get your meds!! I can understand the law saying what they say, and I can understand the insurance company saying what they say. but when it is legal, and the insurance is okay or you can pay full price, why can't you give me my meds??? Why do you say the meds are not there when I just turned in a new script? Why do you think you can play GOD with our meds and our health?

  40. On Tuesday, June 26, 2012 my wife went to Walgreens at 1601 Sandifer Blvd., Seneca, SC 29678 to obtain a prescription refill. The refill consisted of FreeStyle Lite Blood Glucose Test Strips. This strips come prepackaged in a small box. She was finally able to walk away with the refills after a 45 minute wait!

On Thursday, June 28, 2012 I went to the same Walgreens to obtain an identical prescription refill. There was no one ahead of me but I stood there for 5 minutes without the clerk ever recognizing my presence. I then went to a store manager and lodged a complaint about the behavior of the clerk and then returned to the pharmacy section, where there were 2 people ahead of me. I waited from 12:35 pm until 1:10 pm to collect my prescription refill. It was already packaged and ready to go.

This is the lack of service I will not tolerate. Today was my last visit to Walgreens.

  41. My name is Heather and I live in Albuquerque, NM. I live right around the corner from a Walgreens and have utilized your store quite a bit and over many years, but I believe I will have to re-think that stance. I am a 44 yr old single woman that has responsibly utilized birth control for all of my adult life. This is my right and is something that is between my doctor and myself and has nothing to do with a pharmacist’s opinion or belief. I was appalled to learn that one of your pharmacists denied a woman her birth control prescription based on THEIR religious beliefs and THEIR judgment of what they felt that woman should have and not have the right to . Since when does a corporation allow an employee to impose their religious beliefs on another and especially impose that belief onto a paying customer? On potentially me one day? When did your company begin to allow the rights of your pharmacist override the rights of your customer? A pharmacists job is to fill prescriptions, insure that there is not a contradiction in medications and insure the right medications goes to the right person. Nowhere should there be the right of another individual to impose their version of “religious beliefs” on my body and how I choose to control conception. If the person cannot complete all their duties as assigned, to include giving medication they may not “morally” agree with, then they should not have that job and find another in which they would not have to make a decision that only THEY find morally inappropriate.

I find this highly disturbing, as a woman and just in general, that in this day and age that you would allow this as a corporation. So if I believe in something, say I was Jewish or Wiccan or some other type of religion that has dietary restrictions on the Sabbath or Sabbat, then am I then allowed (as your employee) to impose my religious belief onto your customers and not allow them to buy certain things or combine buy certain things that I don’t believe should be eaten or combined on certain sacred days? According to your rational, on some level that would be viable. However, I find this a ridiculous argument. I am a Christian, however in my job and in my life I have NEVER imposed that belief system on any other person, nor do I have the right to do so. Their choices are their choices and are between them and their God, whomever that might be. I am also a manager for 15 years and I would NEVER let one of my employees impose their own beliefs on a customer, let me repeat that..customer. We are customers by choice and by preference. We don’t have to be your customers and we can choose to take out business, both pharmaceutical and goods wise, to stores that do not allow this type of behavior. In fact, I will now no longer utilize your store after so many years and will go further away, to a Wal-Mart or CVS, that does not condone that behavior from staff to their valued customers.

  42. I am a chronic pain patient living in central Florida. For anyone who doesn't know what chronic means, it means constant. That means that I live with pain every day. Not minor pain, but serious pain, the kind that makes one contemplate suicide.
After spending about 2 hours one morning calling every Walgreens store in my area, I located one store that had my pain medication in stock. I live in a rural area so after driving about 20 minutes to get to this store, I was told by the pharmnist on duty that they would not fill my prescription because it was written out of county. I live 2 miles from the county in question, and I use a pain specialist there because there are only 3 pain specialists in the county where I reside, and they have a back list of patients waiting for an opening. I took my monthly precription to the Walgreens to fill, and as I said I was refused. The prescription is typed on non copy prescription paper, has the doctors name and address listed on the top, as well as his state license number and DEA prescribing number. It is as legal as any prescription can be.
The excuse that they could not fill the prescripton because it was from out of county has no validity as far as the DEA is concerned, it was quoted as "my policy as pharmacist". There was no legal reason not to fill the prescription whatsoever. I have been at the mercy of condecending a&%holes who run pharmacies for over 10 years now, who state that they have the option whether on not to fill any prescription as they see fit. In Florida today it seems that anyone with a prescription for pain medication regardless of age (I'm 58) or social status(I'm a retired electronics business owner with over a million dollers a year in sales) is regarded as a junky if you are required to take pain medication. I have a serious spinal injury sustained from a fall that is not repairable without major spinal surgery which has a sucess rate of about 40%. My only other option is to take pain medication. I choose pain medication over the chance of spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair if the surgery fails or complications arise. So it appears that I am at the mercy of heartless jerks like the majority of the pharmacists that I have to deal with who all seem to have some sort of 'God' complex just because they received a chemistry degree and managed to make it through a state pharmacy licensing program. I am really sick of having to deal with a never ending series of Holier than thou pill counters who feel that they have the right to decide whether or not you suffer by not filling yor precsiptions if you don't appeal to them on the day you arrive in the store where they work. The requirements for pharmacists need to be changed in Florida and probably other states also. These people (if you can call them that) have far to much power over the quality of life of their customers. I have been a member of the ACLU for over 20 years and intend to contact them Monday morning (tomorrow) to enlist their aid in filing suit against Walgreens on a state or federal level. We are guaranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of happeness by the constitution of this country, and its very hard to pursue happeness when you are in excruciating pain caused by some jerk who chooses not to fill your prescription just because state law says he does not have to if he does not want to, for any reason, including the color of your eyes or hair. The laws need to be changed. Please contact your state representative as I have and ask that new guidelines be implemented concerning reasons for not filling prescriptions. Otherwise we will always be at the mercy of the egomaniacs with a pill counter behind most pharmacy counters.

I know the feeling. I just submitted a complaint to every email address I can find, but I am confident it will fall on deaf ears. I have been a customer of the same Walgreens for many years, but my wife goes to the CVS across the street. On several occasions, CVS ran out of her pain meds. The first time I told her to go to "my" Walgreens, and they will treat her right. And they did. That was a month or two ago. Fast forward to July 21, the same thing happened, so I said, "Why not just switch to Walgreens, they are the best". Well, the condescending arrogant pill counter whose name sounds something like "Puss Peckerman" informed her that since it had been a while since she filled an Rx there, they were denying the refill. Her MRI's look like a train wreck, and she can barely walk without meds, and this jerk has put himself above her doctor! It is not his job to assess the patient. It's his job to STFU and count the effing pills. It's not my fault this a-hole was too stupid to get into med school. Here I go again getting ticked off. I better stop now. Thanks for a very well written letter, and I wish you the best of luck.

  44. I have had trouble with this Walgreens located at the corner of US1 and Prima Vista Blvd in Port St. Lucie, Fl since I have been going there and that is at least 5 years now. Recently I put in a prescription from my doctor and they said they had to contact him prior to filling it, however by the end of that day they had never gotten a hold of him and the next day was a holiday so there would be no way to contact him then as well. They told me they would call him that afternoon again as if they actually had attempted already, NOT! The Nurse at the Doctors office said she never received a call from Walgreen's all day. In fact they didn't bother calling as promised after I hung up the phone with them. On the day after the Holiday they still hadn't called and the Doctor called it in himself on my behalf because they neglected to call as promised. Great operation you have there. Then today 7/5/2012 I put in another prescription and this was for a Knee brace which my insurance pays for they said they could read the script and had to call the doctor to verify what he wrote, heck I could read it and I am not even a trained Pharmacist or technician. They told me to return in a couple of hours to get the brace. When I returned home that afternoon, I decided to call and check on the script and they said I would have to go to a medical supply store and get it, I am sure they wouldn't have called me ahead of time about this and I would of had to of gone down there to find out the same information. I have had too many bad incidents occur with this reticular store and will be returning to the Walgreen's on Veterans Memorial Pkwy in South Port St. Lucie soon, where they have experienced personnel that are helpful and a hell of a lot more knowledgeable with insurance carriers etc. Someone needs to go clean house at the other store.

This problem has occured with different doctors and different clinic and yesterday I was able to confirm that the problem is at Walgreens. Today when I picked up my perscription I mentioned this to the clerk and once again the blame was placed on the doctors office. The truth is it's Walgreens computer system and staff. 52. To Whom this may comcern, I was recently at your store #0089 and I was appauled at what I heard come out of one of the managers mouth when she was talking to an employee , a Mrs. Darsey Ellis store manager to this employee that she couldn't help put up some risers because it is a mans job , how wrong was that? I'm in there frequintly and have learned that another manager was fired due to doing an exchange simply because the manager that was on shift at the time Mrs. Ellis told him (Mr. T.) they call him that they didn't have the item that he needed to exchange and infact they did have it. Walgreens recently fired one of their employees Hannan for swearing at a customer , and she threatened this Mr. T which was a manager at the time of the incodent saying she was gonna make sure she got eveyone else fired and wo and behold it has started Mr. T being the first , whos next , I am also a facebook fan and recently read something disturbing on it , your employee Tiffany at store #0089 has frequent conversations with Mrs. Ellis and in return gets on facebook and tells Mr.T (fernando) i believe is his name the manager that was fired everything that she and Mrs. Ellis discuss on the job about him , how wrong is that. I am a concerened customer and I think this company has made a mistake in firing Mr.T and corporate needs to address such issues and make this a better store, I have infact advised people I know not to seek this store for employment because it is racist and sexiest and i don't want the people I care about caught up in this kind of Drama, So corporate office take note and stand ground cause yall have some problems in your management there at store #0089 and be aware this Hanna person isn't done yet she is gonna make more trouble for someone at that store and she doesn't even work there anymore, she calls annoymously and tells off on employees there following threw with her threats to get everyone fired because yall have fallen for it by firing Mr.T without any write up or paperwork for him to sign, wake up corporate WALGREENS #0089 has problems as does Corporate Office for whats coming.

After waiting for the pictures, the woman waits until they were printed and then tells me I can't have them because they gave the appearance of being professional. I've done this for years and this was the first time thia has happened to me. I'm beyond pissed! Get with the times or atleast train your ppl walgreens

  56. Spent the last two hours trying unsuccessfully to navigate Walgreen's website, it's "live chat" assistance, and finally it's telephone Help Line. All three were badly designed, operated slowly and inconsistently, would frustrate a man to drink, and failed to provide any help whatsoever.

In sum, Walgrees is so large that they can get away with providing poor customer service, half-hearted efforts at customer assistance, and mediocre help from poorly trained low quality workers. There is not anything we can do about it except complain in forums like this. And the Walgreen's executives with sufficient power to change things could care less because they continue to be overpaid ruthless corporate assassins killing off the Mom & Pop drugstores that actually used to give a damn about sick people.

Just to prove how right I am about this, I'll give my full name and address below and will leave an additional comment informing readers in the unlikely event that any Walgreen's executive ever responds. Don't hold your breath.

  57. I have read all of the complaints about the Walgreens stores.I guess I have really lucked out with our store in Lafayette,In. I want to make a positive comment about them. Everyone in this store is always friendly, courteous and very helpful even when they are busy. The people that work in the pharmacy are especially nice. One time I had a slight problem with a prescription and they offered to call my Dr.for me. Quick fix. For auto refills I always get a call when my Script is ready to be picked up.I use Spiriva and when I picked it up yesterday I talked to a pharmacist and told him there had been at least 3 times that there was no powder in the capsule. They all three were from different boxes. He said he would call the mfg. and let them know. Same day he called me and said that he had talked to them and they would send me a free box. The pharmacist apologized to me even though it wasn't Walgreens fault. In my opinion all the employees that everyone has complained about probably need to get another job where they don't have to deal with the public.

  60. Anonymous: September 7, 2012 As an employee at Walgreens, the job is pretty much OK just the pay is not good, for everything you have to do to keep store running right and looking good and keep customers happy, the pay is just not good at all..I've been in retail for over 25yrs and always dealt with public and helped thousands of people, today I have to deal with not being able to be with the family on holidays, this company makes so much money it would not hurt them to close especially Thanksgiving and Christmas Days, that's just common sense. This is time for family and quiet time with loved ones, not working and feeling like there are no holidays to be celebrated, these times were put on paper for us to observe and take the time off. This country is crazy enough we as people need to step back in time alittle and take the time to enjoy the joys of life with our loved ones. This company will not go broke if they would close just for 2 holidays..I am a family person and feel that if Walgreens tlks so much about helping employees why not keep them happy, give them the time to spend with their families on holdays, that would be a blessing and keep most all family oreinted people happy and wouldn't mind working so much, alot of your emploees have small children they need to be there on these holidays with them it only seems fair to all to close up stores on those 2 special holidays.....concerned...and dissappointed.

  61. Unemployed and with small children I find myself receiving government benefits and trying to save as much money as I can to make it day by day.

When I buy food at Winn Dixie, they still give me the GAS REWARDS they promiss in the items I am getting regardless if I am paying with cash or food stamps. How come in the new WALGREENS REWARDS they would not give you any reward points when I pay for medicines with medicaid?????? As far as I know they get paid for those medicines the same amount of money other insurance pay for it.

  63. this week WALGREENS took over woodrow pharmacy on staten island ny. I am very disappointed. The store no longer carries metro cards, stamps and school supplies. Woodrow Pharmacy was the store to go to for school supplies. It was known that if you could not get what you need in school supplies woodrow pharmacy was the place to go to. I went into the store today they have very little school supplies I asked if they would sell metro cards and the gentlemen who was training the cashier just stood there and the lady cashier said to the gentlemen that this is a neighborhood store and customers always depended on coming in to get their medications and to buy metro cards, his response was to just stand there and not say anything. Walgreens employees from corporate should welcome customers not just stand there and say nothing. They should say if customers are requesting metro cards to be sold again then they will have it taken care of. Walgreens needs to ask the staff what school supplies were sold and they need to get everything back in. If walgreens expects to make this pharmacy work then they better take into consideration what customers want and walgreens corporate it did not look too good today when your own staff from your corporation was not friendly to a customer. PLEASE BRING BACK METRO CARDS AND STAMPS AND ALL THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES THAT WOODROW PHARMACY STOCKED. THIS STORE WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS IF THIS STUFF IS NOT BROUGHT BACK.

  64. On September 22, 2012 I dropped off a prescription at the Walgreens on 19th Ave & Northern Phoenix AZ. They didn' have it in stock and they were going to order it. On Monday September 24th I called them and they told me it was not in. I asked them to give me a phone number to another Walgreens to see if they have it. The employee told me he couldn't look it up because the computers were updating and it would take an hour. I asked if they had a manual with phone numbers to other Walgreens. He said no????????? I don't understand once upon a time we didn't have any computers and they were able to give me the information I requested. I know we live in a technolocial world but please what happened to the good old fashion way of looking things up without a computer?????? I have been a customer for many years and this is the first time I have encountered a situation like this. I know Walgreens is all about MONEY!!!! The staff didn't even offer to see if another Walgreen had my medication. They put me in a centralized system. I called Walgreen and Tanya told me that the Walgreens at 43rd & Glendale had my medication I told her I will go over there. I got the the Walgreens a male employee asked me for my name I gave it to him and he looked in the computer and said they didn't have the medication. I let him know that I spoke to Tanya (on 19th & Northern) and she told me they had it. He then went to another computer and said yes we do have it and I got my medication. What I don't understand is why an employee told me they didn't have it when he didn't even looked it up in the system????? I am very upset with these two Walgreens but I guess they don't care. I also spoke with a supervisor for what it was worth he was useless just the same as the others.

  65. As a current Walgreens employee I can tell you that this isn't the company it used to be. Corporate lies to us daily and we are still cutting staff in all locations. Customer service is no longer our focus - cost cutting is. Many of us have tried to explain that poor customer service will cost us business, but those above us simply do not care. Almost everyone I know who works for Walgreens is looking for another job. That's a shame because we have some really good employees who do provide great service and really care about customers. But oh well...it's all about the numbers. And we are reminded of that daily.

    1. I am a former employer of Walgreens, and was once told that the "Employees" were their most important asset. To me it was and should be the customer. If it were not for the customer we would not have (or had) jobs. Walgreens needs to get their priorities straight. But at the same time they need to take care of their employees: Pay, hours, etc

    2. Also a former employee of Walgreens, and thank heaven every day that I am. It certainly is not the same company I started with 18 years ago. A friend who has been with Walgreens for over 45 years said "Mr. Walgreens is probably turning over in his grave". Greed, plain and simple; $ going to the big shots, and less and less going to employees, especially the cashiers.

i went to the Walgreens in Chicopee, ma on James s.t. and i was very upset by the way a manager treated his employees. i noticed when i walked in a girl that was dressed very frilly talking to a manager i went up to go talk to her when i noticed he was almost bullying her and she was getting very upset. he was telling her that he could find someone else to do her job just cause she wouldn't take a picture. he kept on and on just putting her down and upsetting her. i believe his name was Haji or something like that. i talked to her after he finished yelling at her and she quickly put smile on her face and helped me. i told her that she was wonderfully helpful and should get a raise she was so nice to me. after when i was leaving i saw this manger again touching a younger employee very inappropriately on my way out. the only thing that pleased me was the younger girl who helped me and the women on the main register. if this is what that Walgreens is about i will not be returning if i keep witnessing the mangers sexually harassing and bullying the employees. i was very upset about this visit and hope that this problem will be resolved.

Your company did not put her info in your computer when the rest of my family was added. All the info is on the same card so how her info was not added I do not know. Thank God a NEW member of your staff caught this mistake half way through the year. So we had been paying $300.00 for her allergy med which I thought was just what it cost since it was not a generic. Come to find out with my insurance it would have been $25.00. I feel I should be reimbursed since this was not my mistake.(and the associate at the store said more than likely I would be) What a huge difference this is to a single mom with 2 children. 72. Rarely, do I recieve an answer to a question, at Walgreen's Pharmacy, on Allesandro Blvd., in Moreno Valley Ca. I have asked if pharmacy could order medication I need, if I do happen to get a reply, it's, 'No'! We don't order that type of pain medication!' Today, I went into the same store, asking question, 'do you have this medication? same medicine I needed when answer was,'NO!' this time, answer was 'Yes, but it just so happened it was generic with filler additives that disagree with my system. I have never been asked, 'if I would like an order for the medicine', or, told, 'In future', 'we could order it'! There is discrimination against pain management customers! We are humans, but the only difference is, 'we live with severe, intermittent, or 'round the clock' pain, a struggle with both, sporadic and moment to moment pain. I am 57, a woman who never saw sick day, until age 40. I woke one day with swollen calves that felt as though pins were being stuck into my legs. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and Fibromyalgia! I was stronger than most women,, worked hard laborous jobs, that required energy and stamina, I had over abundance of both! I was also a stubborn person about my illnesses, I denied them for at least a decade! Now, after 6 week picc line treatments, where I administered experimental iv medication, myself, after numerous anti-depressants, and steroids, bio electric therapy, every gadget, and ointment imaginable, I am in pain management, I use 2 types of pain medication that raise eyebrows! I find that either they are not available, or pharmacists will not order them, based on first impression of you! I often wonder if I should buy a 'new suit' before entering the pharmacy, but yet I have seen women in pajamas, fluffy slippers, with lolly in their mouths, getting treated better than I have been, and all because their medication was not the 'forbidden fruit', or Methadone. I also know that there is a stigma attached to pain medication such as, methadone in low dose, 10 mg. We are not all heroin addicts, and even heroin addicts are human beings. Pain management physicians use this medication, 'Methadone' to treat severe chronic pain, it wasn't until I began the use of this medication, that I had some semblence of life again, a bit of quality, which allows me to have more mobility. I have longer stability with pain relief, taking this type of medicine. It shouldn't be up to pharmacists to decide what should be allowed to treat pain. I am weary of walking out of Walgreen's Pharmacy, or any pharmacy, hanging my head, watching, as I am being watched, 'painfully' aware that those who find me someone to abhor, or such an 'oddity' are lacking information about what types of medicine, are used in managing pain. Perhaps Walgreen's, CVS, Rite Aid, etc. would one day distribute articles on subject of pain management, what types of medicines are used to treat chronic illnesses, incurable diseases, and those of us who suffer, not so much, 'in silence', but in shame! I will look forward to the day I am treated with dignity and respect, from pharmacy employees, and pharmacists, assistants, and clerks, all those who ask you to sign, 'privacy act', only to turn around and 'loudly proclaim, 'WE DON'T CARRY METHADONE!' for the entire store to hear! I am not a 'spectacle', on 'show', just an aging mother of five adult children, and grandmother of two, who suffers with incurable diseases which causes extreme pain! Thank You!

  73. I have been a Walgreen's customer for decades, purchasing pharmaceuticals and sundry other items. Today, I went to the register to purchase an item that was on sale. The clerk would not process to me at the sale price unless I signed up for a rewards card.

    I don't want a rewards card because:
    a) I don't want to surrender personal information when I fill out the application,
    b) I don't want to be subjected to email bombardment after I apply, and
    c) I don't want "Big Brother" tracking my purchase history tracked going forward.

I left my purchase at the counter. I will take my business (including prescription purchases) elsewhere.

I resent the heavy handed approach Walgreen's has taken with the Rewards Card Program.

What happened to my husband and myself yesterday, is also a unique example of the excellency of your employees here in Puerto Rico, where everything “we do it better”.
We were returning from a meeting at Mayaguez Enginnering school, at around 6:00pm. We are senior citizens and were a preoccupied of driving in the night, but had to return yesterday to San Juan. I was driving by Road Number 2 in Puerto Rico from Mayaguez to San Juan, a road that is very obscure until when gets to the expressway and even there we had the Walgreens trailer in front of us. Thankful to God, we had a Walgreens trailer in front of us. This huge trailer was very illuminated in the back. Its tag number is 129149A. Thanks to the superb driving skills of the driver, that we never had the chance to thank him, we had the most wonderful trip. It was like a personal guide for us. He drove at an appropriate and perfect pace. Very straight and responsible in this long trip, that is over two hours of road.
We wish to ask Walgreens Headquarters to Thank this wonderful driver. All our blessings to Him and family in this special Christmas Season. Now we can assure that Walgreens, not only have the best Pharmacy staff in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico; Walgreens can also guide us safe to our home with drivers like “Mr. Walgreens PR excellent Driver”. I had become aware that there was an error on my insurance coverage on sat Dec. 8, 2012. I called several people in company and had these issues resolved. I called in and ask Tyrone to run the info through for me again with the new info that was given to me by medco on the night of Dec. 11, 2012 and again Dec. 12, 2012 am. He still said it did not go through. Well I found out he never put in the new info from the pharmacy info line. The representative even stated herself she did not think he actually believe her and recommended that I switch pharmacies. She even checked to make sure Walgreens were in my network. THEY ARE! My daughter has been without her medication that is needed everyday for school since Monday and no one seems to really care. Talk about being frustrated. I did not want to switch pharmacies because walgreens is open 24 hours and have been my family's pharmacy for quite some time now but at this point I have no other choice. I even called the store and spoke with a manager. I am currently still waiting to here from someone. Talk about customer service. I have even considered calling channel 7 news to resolve my issue.

  82. I have a neighborhood Walgreens and recently purchased products from the store. Walgreens recently implemented a rewards program that I imagine is used, like other retailers to track consumer purchase patterns. When I checked out of my recent purchase I did not want to get a rewards card. Because of this I was charged significantly more for my purchase. I found this to be a very descriminatory pricing practice for someone who does not wish to participate in this type of program. Other retailers have seen the backlash of this type of practice and instead have discounted products futher for those who wish to participate rather than penalizin those who dont. I will no longer patronize any Walgreens stores with purchases and medications. I have discussed this with like minded family and friends who will also no longer patronize the store chain. May not make a difference to Walgreens but for the size and age of this company this is an extremely idiotic implementation of a information gathering program.

The manager yelled through the glass that the store did not open until 8:00. As I waited outside there were a lot of potential customers that tried to enter the store but obviously the doors were locked. When I informed them that the store did not open until 8:00 they laughed and said that they would go to the nearby CVS. At 8:00 the doors were still not open. I started knocking at the front door and did so on 10 separate intervals until finally the manager came back to let people in. After frustratingly not being able to enter the store at 8:00 I did a cursory walked through the store, left without buying anything and walked to CVS. C'mon Walgreems - straighten up!

  85. I am very upset with Walgreens and hope that others will PLEASE CHIME IN. I was at the walgreens on Harding road in Bellemeade (Nashville). Once again the swimsuit issue of sports illustrated was hanging 3 feet off the ground off of the donut/candy stand. While I have no issue with the display of this magazine I do have an issue with it being placed at toddler eye level - at the very object that all the kids gravitate to (donuts and candy). I spoke to the manager once again who told me that the hanging thing was made for that display. When I objected he told me that kids see that stuff all the time on tv. Well -- maybe his 4 year old sees women on tv who look like their breasts have been pumped up with a bicycle pump on TV all the time - but normal folks kids watch kid appropriate TV. I am abashed by his glib response and disappointed that walgreens purposefully puts those magazines there. Publix is thoughtful and family friendly enough to put a plastic cover over all magazines like that. Clearly the owner of publix has a daughter. SHame on walgreens!

  87. I renewed a perscription via mail order. They somehow took an old perscription for that same medicine and renewed it via my doctor. Since the data they pulled was over 2 years old (instead of last monts) they sent the medication to the wrong address. I tried to get help via the local pharmacy they were incredibly rude and just blamed me for the issues. I called customer service and they were nice but could do nothing for me. They transferred me to the mail order area. Long sotry short. After 3 weeks, 9 phone calls I still do not have my medicine. I am still pursuing them to make me whole on the money and open script so I can transfer it somewhere else.

  88. Just what we need another card....If I cannot get the sales price without giving a store my phone number, address, yadda yadda yadda,
I am out of there...nothing like standing in line, to get to the cashier to be asked "Do you have a card?" "No" "Do you want one?" You have to say yes or you do not get the sales price, so you have to fill out the paperwork, while others are waiting to pay for their items...or if you do have a card, it takes you forever to find it, because you have to dig through all the other damned cards in your wallet, while others are waiting....NOPE, back to Longs, I don't need a card....

  91. I am a walgreens vendor, not your private bank. Pay your bills on time instead of treating your accounts payable as interest free loans by not paying them for 60 to 90 days. I have money invested in the services I provided and it is my credit that suffers when you thieving crooks don't pay me on time.

  94. You all think you have problems with your stores, you ought to be in the Tri-City Area of Washington State. We have a hooker working here. She has managed to get one manager fired, has busted up another managers home, accused the pharmacist of "touching here inappropriately" and dictates what customers can come into her store, which by the way she is NOT a manager. Her husband must be a real dope. Anyway, like all of you who have had to put up with snotty, nasty employees, try putting with one who can't her hands to herself when it comes to any man who works or shops in the store. The pharmacist also likes to pick fights with customers and then tells them how to live their life, like it's any of his business. But I will tell you all something right now, Walgreens Corporate office obviously doesn't give a crap. Sad but true and somewhere in the Tri-Cities is a pregnant woman with two little kids who has a divorce because of the Walgreens Happy Hooker. Great job Walgreens! What's next, pedophile clerks?

  95. My daughter works at Walgreen's, and they treat her and rest of EE's like 'Crap'. I would NOT take the abuse that her District Manager(s)subject their EE's too. They are ignorant and rude. She is constantly being moved, and she's one of the hardest workers there. Always on time and never late, yet, her Dist Manage belittles her every opportunity. I'm sure that she has fears of sending a complaint to her Corp Office, and from looking over the many lawsuits filed against them, I can understand why. Corp Office GIVES approvals to managers to be DISRESPECTFUL to their EE's. Sorry guys, but you need a UNION in that hell hole! No Way would I EVER let anyone disrespect me. Don't care who there are.

  98. Long story short; Sign on shelf stated "50% off" (buy one get one free). At checkout I was charged for both items. I questioned why and was told that price was only if I had a rewards card. The sign on the shelf didn't say anything about only with a rewards card. Not an expensive purchase but still left made me feel tricked by Walgreens.

  99. I am not sure how the hell you can't send more than enough pain medications or any type of extra medications to all local stores located in the Stockton, CA. I have gone into the pharmacy to get my prescription filled and I get this I am out of Some or I don't have enough of something else. I have had a prescription sitting their since November 16th 2013. I had another major surgery and needed my pain medications and I was told I could not get them or anything until after the November 20th. I am sick and tired of the we are out of this or out of something else being on held for over half an hour to an hour and a half I get pissed off and then I have to drive a round trip of 24 miles just to see if they have the medication.

  100. long story short....my sister lives in new jersey and they allowed someone else in chattanootga. tenneessee to use her card number without i.d. and charge 438.00 worth of stuff with no problems....i think walgreen's needs to look over there policies...i go to the store and if my purchases are over 30.00 i need to put in a pin number...apparently walgreens has no such police...your stores suck and you need to re-train your customer service reps...now she has no money and is on social security disability....wake up walgreens or go out of business

  101. I went to Walgreens at Lake Worth & Nassau Rd in Lake Worth FL. The Doctor called in a script for Levfloxacin as I had pneumonia in Nov & it was coming back. I gave them 3 hrs went to pick it up, the pharmacist (a women) said that one was not called in. I explained that the Dr had called & would she check. In a nasty tone of voice she said no script was there. As this was friday afternoon, my Dr only works till 3:PM. So I went all wkend in pain. I called my Dr's office Mon AM & was told a script was called in & they would call again. Pharmacist deal with sick people & should have compassion for people. My daughter is a pharmacist up north & she & another co-worker do over 800 scripts a day. She said that she treats all her clients with care & love. She even delivers scripts to clients that can't get to the store. Walgreens needs staff like her..I am going to CVS from now on.

    1. I'm sorry you had such a difficult time but if you ever want anyone to take your complaint seriously you might want to consider asking someone to help.you to write your complaint in a way that will help you to be taken seriously. I highly doubt the people at Walgreens Corporate Office are at all concerned that any attorney would take what you deem to be a legitimate case. Have you ever considered going to a different pharmacy? Good luck to you and God bless you.

  103. I am pretty much offended and upset by the Indian Gentleman pharmacist in Torrington, Connecticut. I've been filling a particular medicine I have to take for a condition I have.Today when I called to see if it's ready, this guy tells me that since I've been on the same medicine for a year, HE thinks I should go on something else. First of all, I never asked this guys opinion and don't want it. I trust my Doctor's judgment. The medicine this guy suggested, I already tried and IT DOESN"T WORK ON ME. I asked this guy if it's dangerous to me, He said no. Then why is he sticking his nose where it doesn't belong? Oh, by the way, at my age, there are several medicines the Doctor has subscribed for me that I TAKE EVER DAY AND HAVE FOR OVER A YEAR. Why is he concerned?

    1. I imagine the pharmacist would be offended being referred to as "the Indian Gentlemen pharmacist. Could it be he was trying to be helpful? Maybe you should consider going elsewhere if you weren't happy with your service. Just a thought.....
