  1. I have been a Sears customer for over 30 years, and my parents for over 6o. And my Grandparents too. My whole family has lived by there products ans services for over 78 years. Being from Chicago Sears department stores always treated you by your proper name when you came in as a regular customer. I owned several properties and only used them for what was needed. And, stll do.They have always given me, and my family 100% quality and service. I recently had a problem with a outlet store after purchasing a refrigerator in Tacoma, Wa.. I became ill and was unable to pursue the matter. But, when I called them today they corrected the problem immediately. My suggestion to those buying make sure you are buying the proper product that suits your needs. Read description in full, and make sure you measure your space, and read the details! Read your service extension agreement when you buy it. And, ask if it is in stock or not when you purchase it .And, call if you have any questions. They are and have always been the most reputable department store to buy from in the last 78 years. I will always count on Sears. And, know they have always given me, and my family the Best service possible. Most the problems I read on here, where problems that could have been avoided by the consumer. I am a Sears for life customer. And, now so our my children. So please do your home work before you buy something, and as for what is in stock. Sears stands behind there product, and their services. A good Proud American Company, I am proud to be a part of. Thank you for you top quality service for 78 years.
    Respectfully Yours,
    Mrs Carolyn Blake

Unbelievable...My truck (Silverado) was being worked on and I was given a voucher to rent a GMC vehilce. When I arrived I was told all they had was the Cobalt. I'm 6'5" tall and 266lbs. Really..this dinky car. when I returned the car 5 days later, the mgr asked me how my expierence was. I explained and he said how can I make it better. he gave me a 10% discount the next time I rent. Really??? 10%? I had to laugh.

      (650) 344-7711 location has a manager named Emi that wont give any service, she rented me a truck that needed repairs, when i mentioned it she has been combative. ive been in a rental for six months straight, i have asked her for an updated copy with totals for almost two months. i called her over two hours ago and asked her very nicely also saying she is probably very busy so im not mad. she said shed have the contract to me in a few minutes via email. i've called back twice, nothing. this lady will be passive aggressive and combative if you don,t do exactly what she wants. i,ve worked with enterprise for years and all different locations. this one had a great manger that moved up the chain to be replaced by this lady. im going to the airport from now on even though its farther away. Brendon Low is much more profesional and personable

    4. I was told the last vehicle they had to rent was the 2014 Ram w/Hemi, but while I was there a small compact car was brought in. I was told it was already taken. Fine. A guy took me out to the truck & showed me the windshield wipers & the "dial it" transmission (touch brakes). I left & was headed to the interstate, from Springfield TN (TOTALLY unfamiliar with the area) to Hendersonville, TN (25 miles) when I noticed the gas tank was on EMPTY. It was pouring down rain. Just a few more miles & I would have run out of gas on the interstate during rush hour in the rain. I had left Enterprise 10 min. before. Called them, they blew me off, told me don't worry, get gas & we'd work something out when I returned the vehicle. I told them they did not even warn me the tank was empty & they had marked the truck gas tank was 1/4 full. I asked if there was even a gas station the direction I was going. Found a gas station, put gas in, climbed back up the 2 ft. off the ground floor of truck, putting my foot/leg in & having to grab steering wheel to even pull myself up into the vehicle. I am 5'4". Totally pissed at the unsatisfactory service.

    4. We used to use Enterprise all the time. But for the last couple years, they have been less than accommodating! When visiting another state, they wouldn't rent to us because we had an out-of-state driver's license - really? Plus we only have a debit card, not a credit card. I don't understand the problem there - they get their money immediately. So anyway, they tack on a $200 fee for the debit card use. Plus they want 2 utility bills for proof of address. Now who carries their bills with them when traveling?! We're all done with Enterprise. We have no problems or hassles with any of the other car rental companies.

    6. I have rented from Enterprise several times. If I need to run errands and the bus will take too long, I rent a car. I will NEVER rent from enterprise again. I made a reservation online, got up early, took two buses to get there, and then was told that I can't rent a car unless I can have my landlord fax my rental lease to them?? I have a Florida driver's license, it is from a different county, but it is an in-state license. I have never had a problem before. What would they say if I had told them I was just visiting my daughter in college and needed a car to go around town in? I would not have a local license if I were visiting. I refuse to give my personal lease information to someone I have never met before, just so I can rent a car for a day. I even signed up to be a member with them in 2011.
Next time I need to drive a car for a day, or even a few hours (I had offered to return the car that same day without a decrease in the cost of the car), I will go to U haul. I ended up renting a pick up truck for less than what it would have cost me to rent from Enterprise, AND they didn't put a $200 hold on my account.
So, enterprise no longer has my business, U haul does.

    7. Had a simular problem with the abuse in HAZELTON PA, I'm from out of state and my car broke down and I had a family emergency problem. They refused to rent me a car I had out of state drivers license and credit card. I ordered by telephone and took a taxi for $40.00 all the way up there and when I got there they had no rentals. It was a horror I called corporate and they still have not returned my calls. I was stuck in the middle of the mountains with no where to go, I had to take a bus back home and come back weeks later to get my car. Just thought it was just Hazelton Pa but have found out it's NOW JUST THE NEW ABUSIVE ENTERPRISE WORK ETHIC

I used to rent 4-5 cars a week from Enterprise in Fairview, New Jersey..The cars are great and my staff loved the easy in and out service..In 2005 a non authorized rental was made under our account, We called and straightened out the problem..Now I went to rent from them again the problem is still in the system, and no one can figure out why..I went back to Hertz at least they are all on the same page with their accounting paperwork..

  6. Hello
    To who it may concern

I’m concerned about your service to your vehicles. On our trip to Los Angeles when we returned our vehicle into your location on bellanca in l.a.x we saw some people doing oil changes to vehicles in the parking lot next to the return lane. I’m concerned about the maintenance service to your vehicles as I watched the people doing oil changes I didn’t see them do any inspection of the vehicles. I’m letting you know about this because I don’t want to rent car and have it break down on me and then you try to charge me for something that might be your fault do to poor maintenance of your vehicles, also I made a report to o.s.h.a As I don’t think this is safe for people to rent a vehicle that is not properly maintained. I asked one of the employees what they were doing to the cars and said they were changing the oil to rent out again. I’m sorry if this causes any problems but I think you should be more careful of maintaining your vehicles for the safety of us the renter’s witch you need to watch out for, as were the ones riding in your vehicles.
    THANKS ROBERT T. WILLIAMS

I have been using Enterprise in New London for almost a year now and just wanted to say that the staff and service there are outstanding. They are not only well informed about the services they provide but professional and always make every transaction to the benefit of the customer. They go out of their way to accommodate you in any way that they can. They take the time to find out about your personal needs and will do anything to make sure that you leave satisfied and happy. Everyone there is an asset to your company from the managers down to the people who clean your car. My sincere thanks to the driver who always picks me up. Corporate should be proud of the New London office because I will never use another rental agency because of them. Give them the bonus and recognition they so much deserve. Thank you to Enterprise New London.

  8. Called to contest a toll charge where the EZ Pass did not work. A major pain, and being charged the toll plus penalty, because no one at Enterprise is smart enough to understand that the invoice amount is not the actual amount needed. The WORST is that when I asked for the phone number and address for corporate, I WAS REFUSED!!! What company does this?

Check your gas gauge before leaving Enterprise. I have rented cars from various rental places and they all say fill tank before returning it or we will charge you and fill it for you. My 83 year old mom rented a car from Enterprise in Glendale, Ca and drove down to a charity event in downtown Los Angeles that lasted until 11:00 pm. When she got in the car to leave the gas light went on. She was downtown Los Angeles where skid row is two blocks away and no gas station in site for miles. She did not look at the gas gauge when she rented the car because she thought she had a full tank. From Glendale to Los Angeles is about 20 miles. When she told Enteprise about it they said On Well I guess it just got returned and we rented it out without checking to see if it had gas. Never compensating her like giving her a 10% discount for her trouble. It is a good thing nothing happened to my mom when she was down in skid row or I would sue them to the max. I never had trouble with Enterprise in the past maybe employees in the Glendale office need to be fired for their OH WELL attitude!!!!!!

  10. I made arrangements to pay Enterprise back. They could never tell me what I really owed until I return the car cleaned and ready to be taken back out. You got money out of bank account without asking so for thanksgiving we get to have red beans and rice. I will never rent from you folks again

    1. Sounds like you have money issues to begin with. So my question is, why are you spending money on a rental car anyway if you can't afford to pay them to the point that you had "red beans and rice" for Thanksgiving. You signed the contract that gave them permission to take their money for their asset that they can't make any money off (they are not a non-for-profit organization....SHOCK...like I feel you, and many people, may feel) of if you have it in your possession and not paying for it. If they didn't ask to take the payment out (which they do not need to...you already signed the contract) that means you probably ignored their phone calls and messages. Good luck trying to rent anywhere else...they don't accept cash or Debit Cards without at least a $500 deposit and a credit check. I'm sure you'll be back to ERAC in a week, finding something else to complain about.

    5. I know what this guy is saying because the dumb ass idiots at the enterprise on 7th st in phoenix did the same thing to me. I rented a vehicle for 18 days paid 715 then got one on my insurance they called after a week and tell me that my insurance only reserved it for 3 days and demended that I pay out of pocket I said let me call my insurance company because that is why I pay for insurance and my car is not even done the guy told me no and I became enraged and said I will call my insurance and they will call you which they did and got it straight. I spoke to the manager and she said sorry and to only deal with her which I did. Then my car still was not done on the scheduled time my insurance reserved it was not done until a Saturday at 4:30 pm and in ghetto Phoenix you can not drop cars off after hours. On Monday I called my insurance guy to let him know I was dropping off the car he had not answered I turned in the car with the quarter tank of gas that I got it at the manager knew this but was not there on the Monday I turned it in. Then I check my bank NO CALLS were EVER made to me without warning I was charged $160 plus the $40 deposit for a car for 2 days!!!!! I called livid and some stupid idiot named Brendan kept interupting me until I became enrage and started cussing telling me that I didn't even pay for gas!!!! You see what I mean the stupid idiot did not even know what me and the manager had going on!!!! When I told him I was calling corporate he laughed at me WOW REALLY?! You losers who does that I had a rental for over a month which means I was your biggest customer probably all year and this is how you treat people!!!!! I used to love ERAC now they are just a bunch of thirsty low level scum bags there are so many cars you can rent from regular people off craigslist without all this bs let these losers go out of business! They treat people like crap because they know the insurance companies only use them but they'll lose enough business and go under eventually

    6. wow...I didnt know so many people were victims of enterprise, it's terrible, I too had a hard time. went to one e-prise facility to rent a van for a week had a great experience with Micheal in Kennesaw, Ga,didn't know about the 10 dollars a day if you go too far outside of your state though. when you make reservations on Expedia, or hot wire, non of those stipulations are on there. but Michael heard what I said and waived them. after returning a van I had for a week, my personal truck died on me so after leaving the repair shop I make a reservation at same facility to rent a car for a week, because of time constraints they were closing at 6 which was the time for the reservation, Brant transferred it to a branch closer to me which also closed at 6. I call to inform them i'm on my way and get there the young lady was very rude, coat on and ready to go... would not let me rent a vehicle because i did not have a utility bill with me,since I chose to not use my credit card because I just used it for the van I returned the same day. she was rolling her eyes, waiving hands in the air getting loud and adding full coverage ins. and I had already opted not to have it on the reservation site. she tried to use my credit card for total amount anyway and I just told her not to. she said it won't go through so I need a utility bill.I told her there was nothing on the site that said I had to bring in a utility bill if using a debit card. it said quote," enterprise excepts credit card and debit/check card deposits." I left without a vehicle and was so upset, that type of service is why I left enterprise years ago and went to hertz. just fyi- business 101, if you want people to rent from you through a third party make all of your rules visible so people can be prepared.. who carries their utility bills around. What will that prove. NOTHING! taking money from a debit card upfront is the best way to get paid because you get it right away..I am a business major, do I need to come work for enterprise to straighten up their non-professional outdated rules and teach these reps how to present courtesy to their patrons. they need to take a lesson from Hertz...

  11. Today I attempted to rent a car from the NJ RT 23 Wayne office. I waited an hour and a half to be picked up actually from 1:15pm until now noone has shown up for me to get a car. The worst part is that because they did not pick me up to get a rental my daughter was left alone outside of school awaiting my arrival for over an hour. Thank God a friends parent saw her asked her if she needed a ride home. I am thankful for those people. But what kind of service do you provide. When I called the office all they said was they were on there way. Does it really take over 8 hours to pick up a customer???? That was only 15 minutes away from their office. I have used enterprise for many years and believe me everyone I know will know what kind of service I recieved

  13. My husband has been a preferred customer of enterprise for years. I went online to reserve a standard sized vechile for the weekend of 12/2/11-12/5/11 at your 803 W University Dr, Denton, Tx location. Upon arrival as your computers were down, I patiently waited to be given a downgraded vehicle, intermediate size, but was called when the computers supposedly went up to get my credit card info and was told by then manager, Chelsea, that I would be called if a standard sized vehicle became available, I would be called the next day and could swap out the vehicles. As the next day was Saturday and the store closed at noon, I was not called, but later that day drove by the facility there were at least two standard sized vehicles available. When I returned the intermediate sized vehicle on Monday morning, the 5th, the computers were again down and I did not get a receipt; but was told I would have one by the end of the day. I repeatedly call the facility and was put on hold numerous times, until 6pm when I was informed they were closed for the day (I was told they were open until 6:30 pm). Again, on the 6th, I called repeatedly and when I finally spoke to Joseph Bridges; I was told I was charged a rate that was incorrect and I had been charged for 4 days, instead of 3. My husband went to the facility and was told the problem would be corrected and I would be called. I was not called and finally called again and spoke again to Joseph, who was much too "slammed"; his words to be helpful to me. When I told him we would be taking our business elsewhere, he was very flippant and said, yeah, well sorry. As of 5 pm on Tuesday the 6th, I still don't know what was charged to my card. It is pretty obvious to me from that your corporate office is not interested in complaints about your facilities; as I have read many complaints. I will be turning this facility into the Better Business Bureau and if I ever do use another enterprise, it will not be at your Denton location. All they did was pass the buck, when it came to responsibility for all the errors and inconsideration I received.

That is just my comment

  15. The debit card policy sucks! I arranged to rent a car for this weekend to only find out that I would not be allowed to rent one with a debit card because I have do not have an utility bill. Well my utilities are included with my rent and my cell phone bill is payed by my employers because I work as a Nanny. So, I dont have any utilities bills. I have a monthly bank statements proving my address, a recent voter's card, student loan monthly updates and school letters all proving my address. If you all secure the amount on the card before the car is released, what difference does it make if I pay my bills on time. I'm not buying or leasinga car, I'm only renting it for a couple of days, The only reason I need a rental is because my car needs a catalytic converter replacement and had to go in the shop. However, Christmas is this weekend and I would like to visit my family.

    1. Enterprise is ridiculous, especially to their employees but in their defense, what would you require to rent your car to a complete stranger who you do not know nor never met in your life? You think an unsecured Debit Card with a $100 deposit would be good enough for you? You really think you would let an unknown person rent your car for the weekend without some kind of definite proof of where your asset would be or could be found if someone decided not to return your $15,000 asset? I think you should rethink your reasoning or use a secured Credit Card next time, then you do not have to worry about all the hassle. But if they did not give you a call before hand to explain to you what needed to rent with a unsecured Debit Card then shame on them.

And I have to agree their policies do suck ! I will also tell u I had the same problem renting a car when not going through my insurance company and will let you know the deer park, ny location is horrible and Dana conford and Katie were very rude to not only myself but my finance as well who had all of the paperwork and mocked him on how high his electric bill was. Excuse me who are u to say how high we pay for electric. He was completely mortified and shocked on how he was treated. But talking to another location a few towns over he was nice and going to rent to us, at this point I went to hertz Amd rented a car with no hassles. And a free upgrade and the staff was extremely nice

    4. Enterprise did the same to me, I went to rent a car with a debit card and they were rediclous , I actually had a light bill with me and be cause it had a past due balance, Im a criminal and might steal the car. They refused to rent to me , State Farm was paying 80 percent and my debit card had the full 20 percent for the week. My rental car reserved by state farm was not there, they lied and said they did not have any cars available and I went to the lot , they were renting cars right and left, the woman in front of me walked in and had the choice of 3 cars.. I called the supervisor for the area and she defended her staff and informed me that my 1980 VW had come acrossed to them as "totaled anyway", after I told her I was uncertain of my vans status with state farm...I was devestated , my poor old bus was lost , I have been renting with enterprise since 1987, I would not take a free rental from them and I will never use enterprise again. I dont control the economy, but I can still chose to take my business where I still get some respect no matter what my financial worth ... The american people have suffered a terriable blow and we dont deserve to be treated like criminals because we are broke , the real bandits took the money and ran a few years ago. that just my opinion

    2. San Francisco Airport location - July 2013. Left an ipod classic in one of the rentals and immediately knew that I could kiss it goodbye forever. Called the office 6 times and never once got through to a live person but left a message each time. Never once received a call back. No acknowledgment. But they were certainly eager to take our rental money. Just rude.

  20. Tried filling out an application...and as you know something is always wrong with Enterprise computers. Well it' jumbled my information. I was contacted back and told I wasn't considered for the following reasons which was total crap. I e-mailed back because I printed off my application page --by page. I don't have to tell you that jerk didn't call back to admit fault with Enterpise triling computers. Filled out and second application...and oh you've filled out already and can't apply again for an entire year...well destroy my information, and not only will I not use your company for rentals nor do I want to work for this company. And by reading all the emails with the information "some how" typed in incorrectly...it makes me wonder the people you have working for you or computers one are both need to be replaced.

  21. I had the WORST experience with Enterprise at ORD Airport last week! There was 200 cars in the parking lot and conveniently only had ONE car that was available for a one way & shockingly (insert sarcasm) that it was a mid-size vehicle-which I didn't need. I needed the car for a one way for 2 hours and was told that it would be an ADDITIONAL $75 to drop off a car. The total was going to be well over $150 for a car that I needed for 1.5 hours. I told the gentleman who helped me that I didn't see that $75 charge mentioned on the website and he said , "Sometimes they don't put it on there." SO, let me understand that I get blindsided when I come in with all of these extra charges? NEVER, EVER again will I recommend using ENTERPRISE. I'd be better off getting a limo!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AND WATCH HIDDEN CHARGES!!!!!

  24. I made reservation to rent a car from Enterprise location in Lufkin Texas two days ago. The driver came and picked me up but when I got there they refused to rent a car because I only had a BOA Debit Visa card. I told them that they can charge me the whole amount of the rental plus the deposit up front but the manager refused by saying that their company policy does not allow it. So I contacted the corporate office and first spoke with Tim and then with Joe. I then received a call from their regional vice president Chris Ivy. After explaining it to him that when I made the reservation the person taking my reservation did not mention that they do not accept debit Visa cards, he asked to give him time to see if he can work something out. But when he called back, it was the same answer. Enterprise rent a car has ruined all my weekend plans b/c of their incompetent management. I am making sure that everyone that I know and come in contact with me knows not to rent from them. They have not only lost me as a customer but the people I know as customers as well. I think you slogan should be "Enterprise will screw your plans up" rather than "Enterprise we'll pick you up"

    1. At least they picked you up. When I tryed to get a car (reservation made by insurance company) they didn't have a $30 car so they would not give me one. Wouldn't give me a ride home so I had to walk home along busy I-10 in Houston,Tx. Went to another enterprise later that afternoon to finally get a car and they offered rides to three female customers. I wonder if they won't give rides to white males.

When i returned the car I accidently left my Ipod touch in the car and they where closed so I couldn't call to let them know. When I tracked the Ipod it was tracked to the location that I dropped the car off at, however, when I went back up there to pick up my ipod they said the car was sent out for detailing and no ipod was turned in. They wouldn't allow me to look in the car and they didn't look in the location that I told them I left it in. I called the manager 3days ago and he told me he would look into it and get back with me. I still haven't heard from them yet. Just admit that one of your employess stole it and replace my belongings please. Why is it so hard for companies to do the right thing? I would hate to go to court over $200. I would never rent from enterprise again. Their reputation is slowly declining.

    2. Hello Anonymous Feb 27th and May 4th... Two weeks ago on Aug.14th 2012 the collision center I took my car to got me a rental from Enterprise till my car was repaired. One of the employees took me to pick up the car from the car wash. I inspected the white shiney car as best as I can since the sun was beaming down on it causing a glare for me. The employee just stood there and kept saying to everything that I noticed the majority of didn't count. Anyways I leave with the car and about an hour later I noticed scrapes on the driver passanger door. I did think about calling them and reporting the scratches to them, but I figured since it had paint on it that they already knew about it and painted it themselves.Anyways, today when I went to return the car (Aug 30th 2012)they were blaming me for the scratches. I told them they were already there and that I assumed they already knew about it. I got so pissed and took the car to the car wash (which does business with enterprise) and asked if any of the workers can remember washing the car to find out if someone else noticed it before I rented the vehicle. Well that didn't work out good at all because the managers said they wash about 150+ cars a day and has over 18 workers. I drove the rental back to enterprise and told the manager once again I didn't do it. I even asked about the last person who rented the car if He got there insurance or not. The Manager who was assisting me (Skyler Thuresson of enterprise located in Long Beach CA 90802)told me that the man didn't get there ins. I figure either the man who rented it before me did it or he noticed and told them about it when he rented the vehicle. I strongly feel as if
enterprise knew about the damages being there prior before I rented the car, and trying to pin the measly $200-$400 dollar damage on me. The manager filed a claim with my insurance and I did also. I informed my ins company that I didn't do it and want to fight back! I also did my research to find out that this has happen to numerous Customers all over the U.S! I would like to team up with you folks and exchange some ideas I have planned. 3. I've rented vehicles from Enterprise for over 20years, my company only uses Enterprise as there rental vendor. I use the Kingston NY location this is the first time I've ever had an issue with an assistant Manager who insisted marks on the roof of the rented 4x4 pathfinder were my doing. If your ever stand next to one (Pathfinder) try to look at the roof panel i'm 5'11 and you cant unless your your a NBA player, anyway Margo opened the rear door and stood on the r/s rear sill panel (Outer rocker Panel) I'll get into how I'm familiar with this terminology in a minute.... Margo looks at the roof and said theirs two marks on the roof you'll be responsible for. I preceded to explain that the manager Dan never stood on anything and looked at the roof himself, Dan never suggested I stand on something to look at the roof of the vehicle so i never did, nobody looked at the roof before i left with the vehicle, again the assistant manager insisting it was my doings. Unbeknown to Margo I'm a licensed New York Insurance investigator/appraiser and hold my license in every state in the northeast. To be licensed and bonded throughout several states isn't possible without a clean bill of health no type of crinmial activity or police record. I short I research insurance claims, damages and fuard for a living so I was floored to say the least being accused of something that had nothing to do with the 3 days of parkway driving. I've contacted there executive headquarters to escalate the issue and file a compliant and understand it takes a week to be reviewed, can you imagine all the people that dont speak up the older claimants like your parent and mine our grandparents that are paying for damages they never had anything to do with...it blows me away and now its Personal. 1. Check off all pre existing damages or prior damages while at the vehicle before you leave. 2. Have a Enterprise rep acknowledge it as pre - existing and sign off . My company told me its no out of pocket money for me as my company covers the insurance, it is all about principle this time and I'm watching the results

Pay attention when renting a car at Entreprise rent-a-car.We rent a car for 2 1/2 months in Los Angeles and in addition to the payments of the regular bills the Company charged our credit card with no authorization from our part. When we went to see them, asking for the reason of this charge, we didn't get any answer up to now.So we still don't understand what this money had been for. Their behavior towards the customer is very unprofessional and unefficient. We are back in our country now, but our credit card remains charged!!!

I went to the enterprise at 20777 katy freeway where I've had the reservation from the insurance company. Previouly I asked them if I need to give them a specific date and time when I would be in. I was told no because it was made by insurance company. I turned my car in, went to enterprise and was told they had no small cars. Insurance would only pay $30.00 a day. They had a truck and said I had to pay the difference. I said no and he said ok, he couldn't help me. I called insurance co, they called a different enterprise office and they told me to go back into the office and he would help me. I did, he said no change he wouldn't do anything. I could wait three hours for someone to turn in a car but I couldn't. He said ok he couldn't help me. I asked for his name and he gave me his card. (I found out later that he gave me his co-workers card, not his). I left his office and walked to my wifes work to get her car. I had to walk down I-10 and cross the feeder both ways trying not to get run over because he would not give me a ride home. 35. Greetings:

You may be wondering why I am writing about an incident that took place over a year ago.
The truth is that I had almost forgotten it but, for your very popular public relations campaign emphasizing your incredible customer service policy. I think you should know what happened in Puerto Rico at the referenced office and make sure this does not happen again. I am sure the image that you want to have is the one which led me to rent from you for years wherever I Itravelled in the U. S.

On 1/14 2010 I went to the referenced office, as I had during several years, and asked to rent a car. My husband and I were to keep it for at least a month into 2011.

During the process the sales person that took care of us let us know that we could rent another car, other than the one we had originally selected and at a lower rate. It was a good car, he said, except it already had a high mileage (31,354 miles) and ”some” scratches. We went to the parking lot to see the car and overall, except for a wide collection of scratches, it looked serviceable. I, personally, did not want to trade our original car because this one was too dirty and had too many scratches. The savings however were attractive. (See the Rent-a-car Pre-Rental Vehicle Inspection enclosed).

During our stay in PR, through no fault of mine, another car, at the supermarket parking, scratched the front bumper on the driver’s side. One more scratch among the multiple scratches the car already sported. After much discussion between your people, I grew tired of the situation and accepted responsibility given that AMEX would not cover the accident. because there had been a break in the contract as it was for over 1 month and the accident occurred during the second part of our rental with no interruption. I did not know the duration of the rental affected coverage. I was advised by AMEX that if I had leased rather than rent we would have been covered. The option was never presented to me.

Though very annoyed at having to pay for a scratch among dozens, I asked for an estimate.

When the estimate arrived I felt I was being charged to paint the entire car.I still do. (See attached copy of impaction dated December 12. 2010) The entire process was very negative to the image you want to maintain which was further damaged by the arrogance of the personnel handling this matter. At the end I paid $373.27 for a scratch in a fender of a car that was probably scheduled, given the mileage and its condition, for a full car paint job.

Since this experience in PR I am no longer a client of your Puerto Rico location.

Just to make it clear, I am not asking for redress of any sort. I simply wanted to get this of my metaphorical chest.

    Carmen McCulloch

  39. My family has been using enterprise for many years and I have never been more exasperated and upset with any company as I am at enterprise. My family was flying to DC on a vacation and renting a car to come back to Charleston. Simple enough? We thought so since we have rented many times from you before and had spoken to and confirmed every detail of our trip with someone on the phone at least 4 times. When the vacation was done and all we wanted to do was go home, we walked up to the kiosk (that I had just spoken to on the phone 1/2 an hour earlier) and they refused my reservation saying they wouldn't accept my visa debit card or South Carolina ID. I explained, already in tears, that if they didn't honor the reservation, we were stranded there with no way to get home. I explained that I was an enterprise plus member and that I have rented with the company many times before. I begged him to please help us. He just stood there and shrugged his shoulders and said "Cant help you. Try Alamo next door". I asked for a manager and he then said that he was the manager and he still couldn't help.
I have rented nuerous times with a visa debit card, and all I had to pay was a deposit. I also confirmed and re-confirmed this with everyone I have spoken to on the phone. Never, not ONCE did anyone tell me that my debit card wouldn't be honored at the airport location, nobody told me when I made the reservation that there would be a 200 dollar drop fee (which i learned later but was still willing to pay). Your company makes it impossible to do business with and your customer service sucks. Your company doesn't care about anything or anyone and you hide behind your "enterprise plus" card.. It didn't do anything for me. To leave a family of 4 completely stranded in a strange city is shameful and should be criminal. I am a decent, respectable responsible person that just happens to have made the decision not to have a credit card. Your company made me feel like I was the dregs of society. Please know, I will make it my personal mission to let every single person I know and see about what your company has done to me and my family and i will never use enterprise again.

  40. I rented a car through Hotwire. When I went to pick up the car they told me that the car I reserved was not suitable for my trip and charged me $7.00 per day for an upgrade. After returning the car that kept pulling to the side, I double checked the HotWire reservation and found that the car they gave me was part of the models on the reservation. There was no upgrade. I called the 800 number and was told that I had to contact the rental location. When I did, I was told that Hotwire uses a different specification crap. I will write corporate and BBB. 42. I found out the hard way how enterprise values it's customers. We needed a car for a few months, so we went to enterprise because they quoted the lowest business rate.
That rate was obviously meant for President Obama, since he won't be renting they can say what they want.
Every month we had to fight with them to honor the price they gave us and unfortunately for them we had it printed out on hard copy. BUT when it came to the last month they hit us with every charge they could, none of it was listed by description only codes and there was three pages. We called, wrote and went into their offices looking for explanations on the charges nothing but promises of collection agencies.
We were trying to work it out it seems they were ready to go to court.
The quoted monthly charge should have made it small claims court material, but with all the extras coded but not explained charges brought it to over a thousand dollars.
They refused to explain the codes and not only expected payment without explanation but they were ready to file.
I've never been taken to court and would have never have expected to go there for a car rental and we couldn't believe they were so Hell bent on collecting or taking it to the Supreme court.
We never found out whose lunch we were paying for, whose porno we were buying and how many whores we paid for to come into the Gainesville Florida office to keep them company, and for what we were charged the whores had to be there for more than one night.

  43. On July 2, 2008 our family needed to rent a car for a short time while ours was being repaired. We rented a car from your facility at 540 N. Cass in Westmont, IL. The car was in pretty rough shape - enough so that I remember cleaning the inside myself. Before l left I remember inspecting the outside and noting, to the staff, all the damage I saw. As we used the car we found the trunk lock was damaged also so we called to report it so we would not get charged for damage we did not do.
Fast forward to this past Thursday when I went to your desk, confirmation in; hand to pick up a car in Vermont. The staff was gracious in reporting that I was indeed on the do not rent list due to a damaged trunk lock and they could not rent to me. Of course I was surprised and had to dig deep into my memory to recall the details of the first rental. When we called the Cass facility, they had no record of it but the man said he’d “take care of it” but gave us no confirmation number or assurance that it was taken care of. My sister, who was traveling to Vermont with me, was able to rent but that also meant she had to drive the whole time.
I have confirmed that I am not on the list any longer but really that is not enough. Why on Earth would I be able to get all the way to another state to find out your records show me unable to rent? Why on Earth was I on the list to begin with? Why did it take 4 years (!) to find out there was a problem? I find your business practices as shoddy as the maintenance on the cars you rent. There are many other choices for car rental. I will be sure to remember from whom we should not rent in the future.

  44. We are business professionals and never experienced such unprofessionalism and lack of concern in my life!!!. My husband and I called to Enterprise in Harford, Connecticut. National Drive, Windsor Locks. My husband spoke to a management assistant, Jamaal Johnson, arranging for a SUV, Ford with a week price quoted. When we arrived the agent told us that this arrangment was not true and so we asked for the manager. Dave Persa spoke with us and was the most irrigant, rude individual that I have ever met and was argumentative towards my husband and I and in front of other customers. He did nothing to help correct the matter that HIS AGENT created and continued to be rude. I cant believe that Enterprise would hire management staff like that to represent there company. He got us so angry and with insults and humiliating comments that it drove us into behavior that we have never done. Anyone of that calliber should not be in a position of customer service. Dave Persa's comment in front of ALL Enterprise customers that Jamaal Johnson "will be fired on Monday when he gets in". What type of business is this?? Jamaal had called prior to our arrival to cover for the phone conversation and major mistake that Enterprise made. This was told to us from another ENTERPRISE agent. DO not do business with the Hartford branch. Your asking for trouble unless Dave is trained better or moves on maybe caring for and mixing concrete, as hard and cold as cement and him!!!! He let us stay outside his building and kicked us off the grounds with many suitcases and with NO transportation. WOW!!! Who would do business with people like that...

  45. I had a terrible experience with Enterprise in Ardsley, N.Y. Rented a car from Fri through Sunday and returned it by the keys in their drop off box since the branch was not open on Sunday. When they billed me through until MOnday, I called to ask them to correct their mistake. The agent told me it wass corporate policy to bill through Monday since the office is not open on Sunday. What! Why is that my problem? You provided a drop off box "for my convenience" then asked me to pay for the fact that you are not open. Huh? Needless to say, I will also never use Enterprise again. They may have had a meteoric rise, but they can fall just as readily. If all the comments on this thread are any indication, Enterprise may boldly go where they have never gone before--down the tubes.

  46. I usually rent from this location 1-3 times every year. On 05/23/12 I rented a car from your Lake Forest location for a 24 period because my min van was being serviced. I have rented from Lake Forest Enterprise many times and felt I trusted the employees. When I picked up the car I was told to sign here initial here and the reason why BUT he did not ask me to walk around and check if there was any damages. He just told me there was no damage and just initial here. Me being naive to trust a place I always go to was a big mistake. During the time I had the car I picked up my kids from school and home. The next morning I dropped off the car there was no dent because I walked around the car to make sure there was no damage but about 45 mins I got a call saying there was a dent on the car the size of a golf ball. I was very upset of course, knowing very well I didn't do that. But it was NO use. So now I have to pay $615.16, money that could feed my 3 kids for 2 months. If I did do the damage I would gladly pay for it but I DIDN'T! This experience has left me felling angry, frustrated and disappointed.I would never be a returning costumer or would ever recommend anyone to Enterprise again. You can have $615.16 of mine but you will never have my business or referral again.

  48. DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE IN STEUBENVILLE, OHIO!! I must say i8t was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Had called to reserve car 2 wks in advance. Got there and didn't have car available. Told that I would be called when a car was available and never was contacted. I called them later in the afternoon and was informed that a car was available that I could pick up. Got there and wanted to pay cash for vehicle and was then told I needed a bill with my name and address to do so. I was unaware of this and had talked with them previously regarding payment but nothing was said about this. Frustrated already they told me that they could drive me to my bank to deposit the money so they could charge my card which is insane if you ask me. Who doesn't accept cash? They also told me corporate was going to do away with cash rentals. What?! The staff was unprofessional and unaware of what they were doing and I'm not even going to get into all that because it would take too long. Just don't rent from them. I also called corporate about the issue and was told a regional manager would contact me by the end of the business day. Yeah, right. No call that day or this morning as I am still sitting here without a call and on hold for the second time with corporate office.

I made reservations online for a rental car called closer to time of rental to find out exactly how much I needed and when they told me the rate with insurance I was seeing if their was ways to make it cheaper cause I am on a budget and a family of mine was in a severe wreck in Wisconsin and wanted to see the family memeber before they passes away......well the guy from enterprise said if you are thatmuch of alow life and can't afford to go why are you........seriously I didn'trealize being on a budget made me a low life....well sadly my family memeber passed away shortly afterthe phone call so I called management the next morning to complain and they said ma'am sorry you thought you heard the guy say that but I can assure u you were just hearing things but I will make it right by giving you a day free on your rental....grateful for that part but to be called a low life and then be called a liar and nothing happen to the guy?........what happened to customer is always right may not use enterprise for future rentals

  50. I have been an Enterprise Plus corporate customer since 2008, and rent about 20 days' rental annually. There is huge difference between customer service at Enterprise airport rental locations and their neighborhood locations. My biggest complaints have been with their neighborhood locations. Most recently an insurance company gave Enterprise authorization for up to $30 days for $30/day rental. I rented a car at $29/day for 19 days. The credit card I had given them for security reasons that Enterprise promised not to charge was charged despite third party information on the rental agreement and assurance by the branch manager that it was all taken care of by the insurance company. When I called Enterprise customer service for immediate credit refund for this unauthorized charge since I could not materially produce a copy of the rental agreement, they could not credit back this money. Absurd. This would have never happened at an airport location, where I am treated like royalty. Now I have to go back to this neighborhood location (15 miles away) Monday-Friday 9 am - 4 pm to see what I can do to have them bill the insurance company as they should have. Enterprise needs to train their neighborhood location people better.

  51. I am a regular, loyal, although infrequent Enterprise Plus customer.
I wish to compliment an Enterprise employee. His name is Geoffrey M. Ferreira and he works at the Enterprise location at 151 Andover Street Danvers, Mass.
For years I've rented my car here every July and Christmas. Since I travel alone I only need an economy car, however this is the first time in many many years that I HAVEN'T be automatically up-graded to a larger compact car.
I must say that Mr. Ferreira dug in his heels for Enterprise; and despite the fact that I needed a cruise control because of a handicap, Geoffrey stuck up for Enterprise; stuck to the contract and gave me the economy without the cruise control feature.
He's doing his best for Enterprise and should be commended, however as a infrequent but regular and loyal customer,I wish that he had up-graded me so that my record would remain at 100%

    Sincerely,
    Robert Meuse

  52. I rented from enterprise for 2 years,The first manager was stealing the payments have me payments go into his bank account,The next manager charges my credit card every week with a hold then wants payments and another hold sometimes $3000 on my card from them,Its crazy
You can use this or its a new policy everyday

I go online to print my reciepts and it shows i rented 1 car in the last 6 months Why?

Is everyone a crook at enterprise

They want yo to take cars for oil changes, but wont pay for your time,They wont even give you a free hour rental

They will never work with you and there always rude and never wrong

Time for people to stop renting from enterprise

2 years at 800+ a month and they lost my business

I would of still been renting if the had a better system for long term customers and some better customer service and maybe got something right and not another new policy

  53. I returned a 2012 Ford Focus rental car back to the Atlanta Airport on July 17. I got out, got checked in, and got my bags out the trunk. Then a worker got in, and I made my way up the escalator to the skyline train when I realized I left my PS3 Bluetooth earpiece in the coin cup holder or whatever that cup was for on the console where I placed it. I went right back down and told the manager in the rental return area. It took me altogether like 5 minutes from leaving the car and returning to the department. He called down to wherever they take the cars, and a guy said it wasn't in there. I knew then it was stolen. They brought the car up for me to look in it. Why? I don't know, when clearly it was already taken. The manager wrote down my name, email, and I think, my number. He claimed he was going to look into it and get in touch. I should've known that was a bunch of crap. After I made it home from my flight which isn't in GA, I got on Enterprise website looking for what can be done. I emailed them and told what happened. That was the same day, which was July 17. I ended up having to email them again on July 20 after no reply from the first email. I finally got a call from the Enterprise at Atlanta Airport, and the woman was like "I see you say you had to email again, and I'm sorry but we never got your first email." Really? Even after I got an email confirming that it was sent and a confirmation number?" She said there wasn't anything in lost and found. I told her I already know this and that one of their employees stole it. I even told her the manager knew this, and she didn't even know that. She basically told me there was nothing they could do and it can't be proven I left it in there or it was in there. What **! I said, "So you're telling me your employee can steal from your customers and nothing can be done about it." "Yes, sir, without any proof." For real! After back and forth debating on the issues, she had the nerve to say "Well, you can call the cops and take out a report." I said, "I'm 1000 miles away, and this is what you tell me. I even suggested in my first email to Enterprise that as your customer, I am held responsible to treat your property with respect; yet your employee stole from me. I feel as though your company should reimburse me for the Bluetooth device that was stolen from me." Unfortunately, as she claimed, that email never made it to its destination. I will never rent or suggest to anyone I know to use Enterprise Rental.

  55. BEWARE WHEN YHOU RENT FROM ENTERPRISE. I went out of town with a friend that rented a van from Enterprise. I was unfortunate to leave a nice pair of dressy shoes in the car. I realized and called them immediately the very next day. The manager said he would check the lost and found and there was nothing. I decided to make a trip there and ask in person. He was a big dude. He acted as if he never spoke to me but one of the reps described the shoes down to the brand, went to go get them and they were gone, supposedly all the crew was questioned and no one saw them. He said the van was checked out for a week and he would check the van, why would the thief put the shoes back in the van??? I went back to the space cadet and he was lost again. No shoes. It's obviously they employ thieves???? Beware when you rent from them.

  56. I rented a car with them last week and was overbilled before I even returned the rental!!! When I brought this to the attention of the manager where I got my rental from he said that they were Pre Authorizations because I used my debit card and would go away. I tried to explain to him that they were not pending transactions that they were actual debits and he basically called me a liar and an idiot and told me i didn't know how to read my OWN bank statement. I turned in my car early and they charged my account again and this time for twice the amount. I have been transferred and pushed off on every department within this company and no one seems to be able to help me. As a result of their stupidity I am $300.10 in the hole plus the looming overdraft fees I am going to keep incurring until I can get this resolved. They only offered to refund $150.05 of the charges even after I have faxed over copies of the numerous transactions and bank statements! Never use this company. Hertz from now on for me!

I am going to say this in the nicest way possible the Customer Service was absolutely horrible. Aside from the poor shape the car I rented was in I
was over billed for my rental. It has taken me the better part of the previous weekend and this week to finally be directed to a Regional Manager who
to this day as yet to return any of my phone calls or emails and to be told that i will only be refunded the amount of my original rental fee but not the
overages on my account due to the negligence of Enterprise staff. I have sent over my bank statement and everything and these people are refusing to help me! never again will I rent from this company! DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE!!!

  58. I have been a customer for 7 years now but for some reason the last 2 (two) times we have reserved a specific car from the Wooster Ohio Enterprise office and both times we have been disappointed. The thing that errks me the most is that we make the request 2 to 3 weeks in advance so that we know or hope that the vehicle that we requested will be in. However both times we have had to settle for a lesser vehicle :(

I have found that I can go to anyother Enterprise office and request a vehicle in advance and receive the one I had specifically requested. Now why can I do the same thing at the Wooster Office? This Enterprise is a real disappointment to us :(

The main reason for us renting a car is so for comfort and gas milage.

On July 20th, my day just got shot. On my way to Charleston SC to meet my cruise ship (first vacation ever and it was my birthday)my truck's transmission went out in Grovetown GA. We called the local Enterprise in AUGUSTA,GA and they basically told us to screw off. They had no cars and weren't going to get any in nor would they come out to Grovetown to get us. There were boat races that weekend and all rental companies were out but the AUGUSTA people were terribly rude and ugly to me!

We searched and searched until someone told me there was a new Enterprise in AIKEN,SC. We called and told them of our situation and JULIUS told us he would do whatever to get us in a car! He did a fantastic job and got us on our way allowing us to meet the ship and not lose out on the money we put down on it!
When we got back, my truck still wasn't ready and he made sure we could have the car for as long as we needed it. JULIUS and the gang at the AIKEN Enterprise store went above and beyond to help us for as long as we needed it and really saved our bacon! If I ever need another car I will be heading out to see them and I live almost 3 hours away!
The people at the AIKEN store were super and will always have my business.
Seriously, they need a raise! JULIUS is the man and deserves to be recognized! I thank him and all the people at the AIKEN store so much!!!

for 30years and for the first time inquire about a rental
and was told by the rep that I need a debit card and drivers
licence and I could rent a car. the day of the car was shown to me and I left my drivers licence home a block away.
I decided to ask stefan to reserve the call for me because
I wanted to get my licence well that day it rained and I had my son to call him to continue to reserve the car. I went back the next day and a carcasian women told me that she needed a copy of my con edision bill and cable bill. I now get ebills and nolonger get paper bills so I brough a old bill outdated for two months and she said that my bills had to be paid in full. now with this economy you tell me who bills are paid in full not even the rich because they have debts. she did not rent me the car I called con edison and asked to fax over the bill and then I got discussted and changed my mind. meanwhile their were four white folks the day off and was not asked for these bills although it is in the contract on the desk. I know with all the racial tention these young white male and females was not going to service me like they do the white folks. well here is what I will predict that if they keep on with this game they will continue to suffer the same hardship as us black and the rest of the culture in this world. no one ever blames bush for the money he spent on the wall that left this country bankupt and no one speaks about the debt that we owe china. china owns america so these so called smart asses that work at interprise because they cannot afford nor do they have what I have they can get a break because they work their and that is why they are thier anyway because they don't have their bills paid in full who are they kidding.

After 2 weeks and calling everyday, I still have not heard from anyone. I have even went there in person and was told that the manager was not in! 1. Do not use Enterprise, they will take advantage of you in a bad situation. I was rattled after being in an accident in which my car ended up being a total loss. Since Enterprise in Conway, SC didn't have a small car available in which would have been covered completely by my insurance company-they gave me a full size auto and charged for full size auto. It wasn't my fault that they didn't a smaller car available! Since this took place while in route to our vacation destination, I had limited access to go to another rental agency. My car was towed back to Charlotte NC and I purchased another vehicle at a dealership within walking distance of a Enterprise on Margaret Wallace Charlotte, NC. I left a message on their voice mail on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at 7:30 pm after hours and get this -your message is very important to us and we will call you back the next business day. At 9:30 on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 I had not heard anything back from Enterprise on Margaret Wallace Charlotte NC, so I called them back. I spoke with a man that claimed they didn't get my voice mail. He indicated they would get it picked up and I would hear back from them if there were problems. Since I prefer a confirmation that it was taken care of, I called back at 5:20 on 8/31/12 and spoke with a lady. She assured me it would be taken care of and she would call me back. At 5 mins. before their closing, I called back and spoke with her again-she was going finish up with customer and call me back. Guess what-I didn't hear back from her. I have place a formal complaint and have been promised that the Regional Vice President will call me back within 3-5 business days. I will not hold my breathe based on my current experience with Enterprise. I did inform my insurance carrier of the situation and they are also going to call Enterprise in the AM and inform them that today was last day they will be paying for the rental! How can something so simple be so screwed up. What happened to good customer service and follow through!!!!

  63. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has charged my debit card multiple times without my authorization.

They told me that they were only going to charge my debit card $160.37 which would leave me owing a $0 to them. Now they have charged an additional $900 and I don't know what they might do on 8/22. I am in Europe, and this is causing me severe financial difficulties. What can I do to stop them from running my debit card without authorization?

  64. Enterprise don't care about how the car smells or looks, just as long as they have customers to rent cars. Enterprise even though they have policies that state "No Smoking", "No Pets Allowed";, they won't do anthing about these customers afraid to lose their business. Not only they won't uphold their policies they constantly overbook and when they don't have anymore cars to lease they will cancel customers reservations.

  69. August 20, 2012

I have been a loyal customer of enterprise rent-a-car for many years, but when I needed them the most they abandoned me in my hour of need. I ‘m a military service member who currently resides in Roswell, NM but since my unit is stationed in El Paso, TX I have to commute. I was given orders to report to Fort Irwin, CA for training but in order to go I had to be put on the same flight as my unit, which just happened to be at the airport in El Paso, TX. Since I only have one vehicle between my wife, our infant son, and myself I decided to leave my personal vehicle behind and take a rental car instead. Roswell, NM only has two car rental companies and since Enterprise was one of them I decided it would be my best option since they are the only company I’ve used for the last 7 years. Upon receiving my vehicle I was satisfied with the customer service I received in Roswell and I was also surprised at how easy dropping the car off in El Paso was as well. Once I came back from my 5 week assignment in the Mojave Desert I was expecting to pick up another car to get back to my family in Roswell but things did not go as planned. After the Enterprise agent pulled up my reservation he told me that my name was put on the “DO NOT RENT LIST” and because of that I was not able to get a car. At this point I had all of my luggage, no family, and no transportation to get me back home, which just happened to be 205 miles away. The agent tried his best to help me and gave me a number to call to have them take my name of the list and once I called the number and explained my situation I was told that they would put a temporary lift on my record and have a manager call me back in 15 minutes. After sitting at the airport for OVER 2 HOURS I did not receive a single call nor was there any change to my record. By the time I tried to reach the same person I talked to earlier again the office had already closed and the agent at the desk could do nothing to help me. The only reason I was able to make it back home to my family in Roswell was because the two car rental companies that reside in Roswell are Enterprise and AVIS. I was able to get a ride with AVIS at a much more expensive price but it only took 3 minutes and I was able to make it home. At this point I can’t picture myself ever going back to Enterprise because I don’t ever want to feel that helpless again. I don’t know what I would have done if I had my family with me and I had no way of getting us back home. It’s been over two weeks and I have yet to receive any kind of phone call or email from Enterprise since the incident.

We ask the if we could take our major credit card to our Enterprise to rent it and was told in a hateful way NO. It has to be seen by us.. I will never use your cars again. We live a one of the biggest tourist towns in the US and always take everyone to Enterprise. NO LONGER and I will SLAM your company every chance I get. My husband was in an accident and the insurance co. of the woman that hit him authorized a rental from this shabby crime-hole while his vehicle was being repaired. When he got it home, he was looking for a hitch and noticed the wire under the van that holds the spare was cut. He called and reported it. They had him bring it back and gave him a new van....WHEN WE RETURNED IT THEY ACCUSED US OF STEALING THE SPARE FROM THE FIRST VAN!!!!!! My first reaction was that the person who DIDNT CHECK THE INITIAL VEHICLE PROPERLY was simply trying to cover his butt. They charged our card $603.00. Ladies and Gentleman, this company is doing this as common practice. This was no mistake. We will absolutely pursue this. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short I end up filing a claim through my auto insurance company. Once they paid I was left with my dedutible amount. I had been working with an Enterprise repersenative in Dallas to make payment arrangements. I told her what I would be able to pay and she was fine with that. I have been making monthly paymentof $50 to the Dallas location. Since I have not been able to make the monthly $100 payment she would like me to now she is now threating to turn me over to a collection agnecy and charge me attorney fee's if i do not pay in full. 80. SICK DEATH THREATS FROM AN ENTERPRISE ASSISTANT MANAGER:

This is on IMBD 'BARAK OBAMA' board. It reports the activities of the Enterprise Assistant Manager at the Union Square office in San Francisco, CA, Rodney A. Johnson. Enterprise needs to check his usage of ALL the computers in that office by this man. This involves many company resources and is on company time. It has been researched in prep for a federal complaint.

Mr. Johnson also goes on many imbalanced rants: homicidal, homophobic, leftist and racial. Police need to be involved as he appears to be a threat to others.

Die painfully okay? Prefearbly by getting crushed to death in a
garbage compactor, by getting your face cut to ribbons with a
pocketknife, your head cracked open with a baseball bat, your stomach
sliced open and your entrails spilled out, and your eyeballs ripped
out of their sockets. *beep* bitch

I really hope that you get curb-stomped. It'd be hilarious to see you
begging for help, and then someone stomps on the back of your head,
leaving you to die in horrible, agonizing pain. *beep*

Shut the *beep* up f aggot, before you get your face bashed in and cut
to ribbons, and your throat slit.

Whatever. I can deal personally. Rodney, though, is a sick puppy who, as you may know, has cyber-stalked Benji for years now. Out of curiosity, I google'd the text of the threat that he sent me, and found some pretty interesting things.

    He has sent the same threat to many other people, including a prominent conservative blogger;

The only thing I've done so far is shoot that blogger an e-mail and let her know where exactly they are coming from in case she gets any more. I haven't done anything else.

So, should we leave it alone, or let her know what he's been up to?

Oh, and Rodney, if this thread is deleted it's coming right back up, buddy. I'm sure you know how copy and paste works by now, with that mass threat and all.

  81. Enterprise withdrew a 50 dollar deposit from my account with my permission, then refunded it when promised. The same day of the refund, they withdrew another 50 dollar deposit without my consent the day before Thanksgiving. After much arguing with the rep behind the counter, we discovered the reason this happened is that I had two claims (both fixed at the same time) and they had to "separate" the claims. However the second withdrawal was done without my consent or knowledge. I had to go online in their office to retrieve my bank statement to prove to the Enterprise rep that this 2nd withdrawal from my account was done so I could receive my refund since the car was returned over 10 days ago. They did apologize for not notifying me of the 2nd withdrawal. I requested my bank card be removed from their system and I was told they cannot do this, but that the number "falls off in 6 months". Seriously?

  82. Enterprise has the worst rental policy out of all the other rental car companies! Did you know that each location can set there own rental rates? Did you know that each manager has the right to approve or decline a price match, not corporate? Did you know that the turn around time for a return call is 3-5 business days? Did you know that the call center representatives can make the decision to forward a customer's call to a supervisors or the corporate office? Is this considered good customer service? Is this a company you should rent from ever?

    1. This is so true I have be trying to voice a complaint for over three weeks now and I keep getting the same result. I just wonder do the corporate CEO know what is going on or may be he or she do. It is like you do everything possible to keep it off my desk. I experience my credit card begin over charge for a trip that gave me a budget to travel on. When I ask them to correct the problem the manager stated that she could not do it that it would take 2 business day to put the money back on my card. Now I wonder what would have happen if I would have cancel my car completely would it still would have taken 2 business day for my money to be put back on my card. This is something new the manager told me that she would give me the money out of her own pocket. Okay now where is their policy and their rule and regulation as well as their ethical policy. If I would not say anything where would that money gone to. Second to add salt to the wound they said they would give me 10% discount on my next car rental. Well that is only $10 or $20 dollar which would be the taxes "LOL" No thank you Enterprise you was my organization official rental car agency but you have lost my business for good.

Do woman also have to wear business suits? I have never seen this.. 2013 the company is now in the toilet and corporate doesn't seem to care as I can see by all the complaints I'm reading...

  83. I am beyond Pissed off with Enterprise commerical truck service. We have told them nuerous of times that their truck would stall. The Manager assured us that it was fix but guess what I am stranded again and my staff are unable to set up an event. Now at 4:00pm we are late for a set-up for an event. Then we were waiting for over 4 hours of mechanic that says he can't do anything since he does not have the computer. And now I am stuck especially when I was told that Enterprise is unavailable to to even replace the truck and has to tow it away. Not only does it effect us from doing our set up at 11:30pm I have 4 locations to pick up our equipment and your company is unreliable and did not even try to fix the situation. The dispatch says that they are unable to help me. I have been a customer for over 9 years with their company and this time I am so fustraded and upset that during my busiest time I am left with this mess and complaints because I used the wrong truck company that promises this below and gives me lip service.

This is what their website says:
24/7 Roadside Assistance with Every Truck Rental

Keeping your drivers on the road and delivering product. Nothing is more important than peace of mind. In the event of a roadside event, we understand the value of getting your truck back on the road quickly and safely. Our roadside assistance network helps to ensure that wherever you are in the United States, on-the-spot service is available to maximize uptime and minimize downtime. Whenever permissible and safe, repairs are made on the side of the road. Of course, our preventive maintenance team regularly services the vehicles to minimize the need for roadside assistance. We can even arrange to switch out vehicles that are scheduled for regular maintenance so you don't experience any interruption in service during your rental."

I am sure that if I would have been a man he would not have talked to me that way. That Branch Manager needs to get some Customer Service training. This is no way to act to a Coustomer in front of your other employees and let them think that this is acceptable behavior. Enterprise doesn't need a Branch Manager like this all he will do is ruin their business. I have never been treated like this at any other Enterprise in any other State only Ft Wayne, in

  85. It seems there are alot of un-happy people that used Enterprise. Let me add to the list. The office in Fayetteville NC on Ramsey street...The manager is a complete jerk!! But what goes around comes around! I think they need a mystery shop...hint hint to the Corporate Office..Customer Service "should" be their number one concern, instead of Managers throwing tantrums and acting like complete PRICKS...yes Parron you are the weakest link! 86. I have been a customer with Enterprise for years with no problems, but I rented a vehicle during the Christmas holiday and filed a complaint at the Enterprise on Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA and called the 800 number and filed a complaint. I have yet to hear from either of them about me returning my vehicle on the day that I was suppose to and because they were closed and did not get to process the information for 2 days later. I was charged for 2 extra days. I could have kept the vehicle for 2 extra days. I did my part and returned the car by 6 pm on Christmas eve and the store was already closed by 530 pm cause I tried to call them and no answer so I call the 800 number and asked them should I return it to the airport which was open and a few miles down the street or where I rented it from and was informed where I rented it from and place keys in drop box and they will process it as returned on the Christmas eve date.
Much to my surprised I was charged for 2 extra days that I did not even drive the vehicle. And when I went to complain about the issue they advised me that they will try to get me refunded for at least 1 day... I was flabbergasted by that statement that they want me to pay for 1 day that I did not even have the car due to an error on their part. I want to be refunded for both days not 1 day. But they have not even had the common courtesy to even contact me back at all. You don't even have to give me cash back you can give me 2 free days of rental to be used when I want to use them. I will be okay with that. I am a business owner and try to right my wrongs so I only expect the same respect. I use to enjoy doing business with Enterprise especially since you are a family-owned business, but I will keep complaining everywhere I can about this issue. You have not heard the last of me yet, even if i have to go to small claims court to do so. I am going to tell all of my friends and family members how I was treated and ignored by Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I am saddened by how I have been treated and morning the lost of an old dear friend. I shed a tear. Good bye for now old friend.

  87. Enterprise,

I i have a issue that has just come to my knowledge. i am service member serving overseas for the Military. I Always rent thru Enterprise but this last experience and current issue i am dealing with is unacceptable. From local Chrysler Dealer in Germany which submitted a voucher thru the Enterprise Rental Office in Germany which allowed us a rental in which Chrysler was covering the cost from 14 Dec to 28 Dec 2012 due to my vehicle was in their shop which still is. It shows that the Bill Receipient is Chrysler hence we have never signed a rental agreement or anything because it was covered nor did we ever provide our Credit Card information on this particular rental. What came to light was that 2 days ago on my credit card statement was a charge by them of over $900.00 paying for this particular rental because the Enterprise in Germany was informed that Chrysler backed out on their official contract in which they were not going to pay and then the head office in Germany charged my Credit Card illegally without any notification from anyone via, phone, email or any other means. The manager at Enterprise there named Frank +49-011-611-716360 went thru his records in the past and seen we had a card on file from a rental from a year ago in which he used my personal credit card and charged it so he can get paid because he did not bother going after Chrysler to get his money legally since in the attachment it shows they were the ones being charged even though they decided to back out of their deal.

This is unacceptable and illegal in every which way possible. Enterprise should be going after Chrysler due to the Voucher that was submitted saying they would and I should not be charged like this from a illegal and unauthorized transaction like the manager (Frank) did. He still has not contacted us in any way and has not picked up the phone. I want this situation resolved thru your corporate office immediately in regards to his actions and fully refunded the amount immediately. I am furious about this and Soldiers serving should not be treated this way and I want a immediate response to this via email since that is the only way of communication i have at the moment. I have never heard of such action from anyone in my life from any company but i am sure this will be handled directly by your Corporate office immediately in regards to his actions and i want to be apprised of this because who knows if i am the only person this particular person has done this to illegally.

  88. I was in a car wreck 2 weeks ago my car was a total loss and my Insurance Company rented a car for me from Enterprise ! I personaly have rented from Enterprise MANY TIMES though the years and NEVER had a problem with them ... Until now! First of all I had to pay someone to take me to Enterprise to picked up the car because they would not pick me up cause I was not in there area!2nd I tell them up front that where I live in the sticks of WV it very muddy and my drive way is muddy and asked them if they had something higher off the ground it would be better the guy tells me this car is a front wheel drive it will go in the mud ... 3rd I get in the car and the smell of cigerrets would knock you down and there was mud on the dash and in the floor I thought to my self wow I have never gotten a car this dirty before and then later we found trash under the sets clearly this car was NOT cleaned before we rented it ! 4th I take the car back today at 12:00 (noon) and the guy went out and checked the car like they always do and came back in and said ok here you go and handed me a recipt and told me to have a good day ! Then at 5:00pm I get a phone call that said that I needed to come back and clean the car or be charged $50.00 dollars , I was like WHAT ? he said it had mud in the carpet I said well duh its muddy its winter time and I told him I was not driving an hour away to come do his job for him and he said I took away from the vaule of the car cause it was muddy inside I told him I told the guy before reanting the car that I lived in a mud hole he responded by say "and" ? and then said he would send me a bill I said no need I will NOT pay it that he is paid to do a job so go do it I was not going to ! I will NEVER rent from you again he said you will not be allowed to if you dont pay the bill anyway I have decided to leave this comment here I will also write the corp office and If I get a bill I will have more in sending it than the check is worth cause I will send $00.1 cent a month ! I guess the insuance company did not pay them what they wanted them to or something so they was going to charge me out of pocket for it ! Even if I am allowed to rent from them again I WILL NOT ! This took place in Barbousville, WV ! Folks I say go anywhere but to Enterprise rental car to rent a car ! Thanks

  89. I just returned from Enterprise Rental at the Buffalo Airport when I reserved 2 vehicles. The date of the reservations was November 12, 2012 and I told them I wanted 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees and they said that would not be a problem; I also explained that I would hold them with my credit card and pay cash at the end of the trip and again was told it would be alright; well I guess it wasn't because I got 3 different stories when I got to the airport to pickup the vehicles. First, I was told tht they do not rent Jeep Grand Cherokees and then someone else told me that they only had a few and they rented out early. Next I was told that I could not pay cash at the end and that it had to go on my credit card and third I was told no debit cards that if the credit card said debit on it they would not accept it at all. The questions I want answered is that I reserved these vehicles in November of 2012 and if
they only had a few in stock why could they not hold them for me or nelse tell mme at that time they do not rent out Jeeps; and why don't they accept cash at the end of the trip anymore? To me this all seems like a huge scam. I f I was not leaving on the trip tomorrow you can be assured that I would return the vehicles and go to another company, one who doesn't lie to the people. This is the second years that I rented from Enterprise and it is the first time that I received such poor treatment. I agree with everyone else if you need to rent a vehicle for what ever reason go some where else and stay away fron Enterprise.. Thanks

  91. I have been a enterprise rental customer for over 10 years until recently I was a very satisfied customer dispite the reports of others bad mouthing the company. I recently rented a car that after I had it for about a week was loud! I went through a drive through to place my order and the waitress asked me to turn the car off so she could hear me! I confronted Enterprise about the matter and they told me that they didnt have any cars that fit the car class I rented on the lot and if I came in to exchange cars I would have to upgrade and I would have to pay the difference! REALLY!! Disgruntled, I kept it my car was in the shop and I needed to get to work and I refuse to pay more money. They then wanted me to return the car, they started calling me several times a day, I work 12-18hr shifts, in healthcare I cant always answer my phone, They would leave disturbing messages saying they would report the car stolen even came by my home. I have a bank statement that I took to there corporate office who was just as rude and showed them that they were constantly debiting my account and that the customer service and threats were totally inappropriate. I returned the car immediately after that altercation only to find that they debited my account 4 MORE TIMES AFTER I RETURNED THE CAR!! I had to sign affidavits, and order a new card so that they would stop charging my account. No one wants to be available for comment, thus no one wants to refund my money!! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AGAIN!!!

  93. This is concerning the office on Sunrise Avenue in Citrus Heights, CA

These idiots received a call from my son-in-law, who has advanced Parkinson's Disease and brain injury and resides in a convalescent hospital due to his physical condition. They actually went to the convalescent hospital and picked him up and took him to their business to rent him a truck. He can not keep his head upright and uses a walker because he can not control his legs.

When my daughter found out, after being notified by the hospital staff, she had to try to find him. He admitted to her that it was scary and he wound up on the wrong side of the street numerous times.

My daughter took the truck back and complained to the manager. His response was that he had a valid drivers license. The paperwork is in work to take the license away from him. Who would think that anyone with a brain would see his physical condition and still rent a truck to him, even if he has a license. If someone went in to rent a vehicle and was drunk would they rent them a vehicle just because they have a license.

The only saving grace is that he did not kill someone. This company gave him a weapon and set him loose on everyone on the street that weekend.

Shame on them. I suppose the money was worth it to them to put so many people's lives in jeopardy.

    They should be shut down.

  94. I was hit by a deer when driving an Enterprise car on 17 November 2012. I obviously had to pay Enterprise for the damages > 7000 Dollars and did so using a credit card over their Bank of America phone system. Not a good idea. The Enterprise Recovery Unit was not capable of producing a receipt indicating the total amount paid to them regarding the claim because their letters are computer generated so after the paid in full sentence they can't include the amount. So when you pay Enterprise you wont get a receipt. When you want to get reimbursed then you are out of luck. So I will order my creit card company to cancel all payment to Enterprise. Oh, I forgot - Dakota Burke (the claim adjuster) told me that I did not pay Enterprise, I paid Bank of America the > 7000 Dollars. Ok, my mistake, I will do the charge back.

I called them and the guy who answered the phone said "I cleaned out the car, "I didn't see no camera"..I said, I have only been gone 15 mins, YES, my camera, in a big black duffel bag was in the back seat right behind drivers seat"! 100. I am a car prep for this company and it started out as an ok job. But then it got to be really annoying. They don't give their car preps anything! But the manager and manager trainee's and whatever else u wanna call them get ALL kinds of benefits and they sit around and gloat and talk about it. I do not see where any of it is fair esp now since part timers are only allowed to work 28 hours. Everything they do they seem to get some kind of incentive from it! Its disgusting !! But no one seems to care!......... As for the service they give to the customers sometimes is totally unfair and they do not care about the kind of cars they give!! But I try to always keep the cars clean as much as I can.. They also sometimes send cars out that need work on them and they just reset a button, what if someone was seriously hurt or killed by this action. Enterprise sux and if it wasn't for needing a job I would quit especially now since they are only allowing us to work 28 hours!!

    1. Don't feel bad I was a car prep for over 6 years and then they so called changed the dress code which I went along with on new shirts. Then after 6 months of that they came to me and told me that I would have to be clean shaven and I told them that I would trim it but I wouldn't cut it for that would be against my religion. Well two weeks later they told me that they didn't need my services. Along with your right they rent out cars that have damage on them and cars that the tag is over 3 months dead. And try to charge customers for damages that was on it before for we would tell them about damages and they just would say we have to rent it anyways. so anyone that is trying to work for them be aware of there polices. And watch them change it each year.

  101. Although now retired, I spent 25 years of my career traveling extensively. I want to let you know that my experience with Enterprise on May 10, 2013 (pick up) and May 13, 2013 (drop off) was the BEST rental car experience I have ever had in my life. In Philadelphia to attend my 50th high school reunion, my wife and I were met by the Enterprise shuttle in less than one minute. When we arrived at the office we were greeted by extremely pleasant CSR's who offered us complimentary Philly pretzels (the large soft variety) and bottled water. We were in our car, with a 2 car free upgrade, in less than five minutes. The car performed superbly. Upon return we were again treated with great courtesy, and I want to mention our shuttle driver, Bidwell, who was extraordinarily gracious and pleasant. I know you often get complaints. I want to be sure you know what a superb job you did. If you ever need a testimonial, I'd be happy to give one. Our confirmation number, through Hotwire, was 578932696. A hearty thanks to all who made our travel experience so pleasant.

  102. I recently traveled to Raleigh N.C. and had a great experience with the ERAC people there at the Airport. First, they received me with a GREAT and VERY Corteous and Positive attitude, always friendly and always happy, including the Bus Drivers. I had some trouble with my Credit Cards, and took me a while to figure out the problem, and everybody there was so incredibly patient and understanding, never a sign of hurry, never a sign of disconfort from any of them with all the work they had to do to get me a single car !!! They even helped me to get the specific car I wanted, and everything was so perfect there, so smooth and corteous, that I feel in debt now. I hope this letter gets to be seen by all the Officers at ERAC and I hope you all take notice of this Awesome Employees Great Attitude and Positivism, I wish we had more Fine People like them in this World !!!! Whoever hired such a fine group of People and keep them together in one single place, must be Commended too !!! Thanks ERAC People at RDU Airport !!!!

  103. I have had the WORST possible customer service experience ever with Enterprise, Manheim Pike, Lancaster, Manager Bill. We had a rental for approximately 2 months, which obviously doesn't mean anything to them, and they called and said to bring the vehicle in it needed to be rewritten. We were paying about $200 a week, so we go in to rewrite it and all of a sudden the price went to 60 a day! They used our card after we told them they are not allowed to use it, I caught their employees in outright lies regarding rates, and when confronted the manager made excuses, but never offered an apology, then I caught the manager in numerous lies, and when confronted his response was "Yeah, so?" Are you serious? I called the 800 number, they lied, never filed the complaint, I called corporate, and all they do is make excuses and lie too! Their service is the worst I have ever had, GO TO AVIS, their prices are half of Enterprise! They used our debit card after being specifically told they do not have permission to use it, I sent an email telling them I will press charges if they use our card unauthorized, and they still used it! Then corporate said they will use whatever is on file whenever they want, that they do not need permission! BEWARE!!!!!

  105. I had to take my car to a auto repair to get serviced due to an accident, but prior to that I had called and make arrangements per my Ins. all was set and the day before I had called and asked if they would pick me up at the auto service this was after several calls that I made and no one picked up, so I was informed by Damian who works at Interprise Rental that the auto service had to call them direct to make arrangements to pick me up, of which I was not happy that I could not tell them what time to pick me up since I had another appointment that morning, upon arriving there I immediately informed the receptionist to call them and she tried several times and could not get thru infact she was hung up on twice and even the manager at the auto place tried twice and could not reach them, so they made arrangement to take me over to pick up my rental once I got there I spoke to Shania who was very helpful but what bothered me was as she was trying to help me Damian kept interrupting her and having her do things for him like I was not important he did this several times to her of which I was not happy not only because she was not able to service me fast enough but I did not like how he treated her I feel in my opinion that all he managed to do is belittle her, so when she was finally able to do her job and do it well considering how many times Damian interrupted her she got my car made sure is was clean and washed and was so polite and so helpful I commend her because I would have never put up with someone treating me like that. I am very unhappy and plan to also report this complain to my insurance company USAA so that they are aware of my dissatisfaction, I hope you will really look into this and not let it go. They promised to give a certain amount back but didn't do so hey lied to me to get me off the phone then they asked me to rate there service lol it's a shame they lost my business over such a small problem they made big. All I see is 143 bad coments on here and looks like rightfully so. They act like loan sharks good thing they didn't break my leg and just stole my money the money hungry basturds! Obviously I'm a dis satisfied customer and will never be back.

  107. I will never rent from Enterprise again. Very poor customer service. When I dropped off the car I was told the charge was paid by the Auto Body Shop. I asked if they were sure and they said yes. Well over a month later the charge appeared on my CC. Enterprise did not call to inform me they were going to charge my card. I contacted Enterprise regarding the charge - I was told well we had your card number when you originally rented the car and we needed to balance out the month. Another words too bad.... I guess they feel they can charge your card at any time until the card expires.. Enterprise Post Rd, Warwick, RI

  108. I applied for a part-time position with Enterprise for a "phone interview" for August 8, 2013 between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. It's now almost 1:30 p.m. and I am still waiting for the, umm, phone interview. E-mailed the gal who set up the appointment with no response. OK, so I have to be professional, responsible and courteous - what does Enterprise have to do with all of this?
    Folks, stay away.....

  111. Working with Enterprise has been a nightmare. On July 1, 2013 I called the 800# to order a car, to be picked up on July 23, 2013, close to the hotel where we were staying in Atlanta. On July 23, I called for the car and was told the office, in Marietta, was 45 minutes away from the hotel and too far to pick us up. I asked for a closer Enterprise and was told the Marietta office will locate one and let me know. It took three telephone calls from me to follow up and the last call I was placed on hold for 22 minutes - my husband used his cell phone - called the office - and spoke to he person who put me on hold - my husband was told he was speaking with me at that time - he LIED - I was on hold and for over 22 minutes - did not come back until nother 5 minutes on hold. I called the corporate office and was told the area manager will call back - this did not happen. Finally, after spending over 1 1/2 hours on telephone calls - an office was located approximately 5 minutes away - Cumberland Office - when we called that office to confirm they received all the information from Marietta and the office stated sending someone immediately to pick us up - after a twenty minute we - we called and were told someone had left to pick us up - finally a half hour after our first called, a driver did pick us up and we were told she left the office a few minutes earlier - not the half hour we waited. When we got back to LA, I once again called corporate ...told someone, from corporate, would call me. This did not happen. I called again, I was told the area manager for Atlanta would call me - I told the supervisor - in no uncertain terms that I have waited three weeks and will not speak with the area manager who was suppose to call me twice before and never did. Well I did receive a message from - the area manager for Atlanta - I have no intention of calling her back. I called corporate again and was told a V.P. will get my file- with the complaint - I am still waiting. From all the above reviews, Enterprise is in trouble with their image - I see no steps being taken to make Enterprise a better company - in my opinion it has gotten worse. I was told that Enterprise only hires college graduates - what lesson - work ethics - customer service are being taught the new employees other than poor work ethics and bad customer service. It has been since July 23, 2013 - I have not had any response from Enterprise. My question: Does Enterprise really care?

  112. Enterprise is the worst and most unethical organization I have ever dealt with! I had a reservation for 9am on 8/20 to pickup my rental car. I arrived slightly before 9am and showed my license, my reservation/confirmation number, and my debit card with a MasterCard logo. I was then told I need proof of my employer? I was never told I need proof of my employer but I needed the car so I could visit my family so I agreed to go get it. I left and got the requested information to verify my employment and returned to the establishment. I took in the information and presented it to Marvinn Bascos(Assistant Branch manager at the 6223 N 9th Ave Pensacola, FL location). He then told me I need two utility bills to prove my residency. I was never told this either but I held my cool and figured he was discriminating on me because of my color. I said ok and left to get the documentation. So, I returned now with my confirmation number, driver license, proof of my work, two utility bills, proof of insurance, and my credit card. Marvinn Bascos ( the worst human I ever met)said thanks for getting the information but your reservation was for 9am so we rented out your car. First, I was here before 9am before I was sent on a wild goose chase! He said the only cars left are for people who have reservations and bring all the required paperwork. I could not believe he said that. So, let me get this straight. The next person who comes in to pickup their car will have a confirmation number, driver license, proof of their work, two utility bills, proof of insurance, and their credit card. Funny because I was never told that is the information I would have to bring to pickup my car. I was told to bring a credit card and my license. Now, he blames me like it's my fault he rented my car out instead of taking ownership and admitting to a mistake. So, at this point I am upset and take one of his cards off the desk and tell him to write the corporate phone number on the back. He then tells me it's the same number. I said your corporate office is located in this same building that is interesting. He then backpedals and says Rick West is the corporate contact. I asked for his number and he laughs and says I told you how to reach him. I then said I know you are lying to me and Rick West is not corporate but ok where is he I would love to talk with him. He laughs again and said he is out of the office. So let me get this straight. You blame me for giving my car away and ruining my plans, you send me on a wild goose chase all day, you lie about the corporate phone number, you lie about who is in charge at corporate(rick west), and now you are laughing at me because you don't think I have any recourse and you won. What a great example to set for the new girl that was watching in amazement. Well Mr. Marvin Bascos I will make a complaint everyday to make sure people are informed of how you stereotype and discriminate on people that's a different color. If one person decides to rent from another location it makes my 365 post worth while. Have a great day. Another lost customer...

    1. I'm white and the first time I rented a car I had to go through all that rigamarole too. The branch manager was Black and I figured it was because of MY color. Now I see it's not a color thing at all, but a policy thing. Consider this, they're renting us $25,000 or $30,000 vehicles. They don't know us. They have to have all that information to ensure if someone wrecks, trashes or jacks up their vehicle they have a way to get their money back. They should have told you all this when you rented the car. They also should have given you the corporate office number. It sounds like you were mistreated and that the staff at that branch were jerks. But just because people are jerks doesn't mean it's a race thing.

  113. Rented a GMC Terrain from Enterprise in Lima, Ohio. I rented this vehicle from Friday noon until Sunday noon. Quoted price was $119.88. When my credit card was billed they charged me $179.81 my statement showed me having the vehicle for five (5) days. When I called to question the charge I was told "let me speak to my manager about this". This is the second time that I've had a problem with Enterprise this year; back in June I "reserved" a van for a family trip, received conformation for the reservation than was told the night before my trip that I wouldn't have access to the vehicle. Hotel reservations had to be cancelled plans had to be changed everything was messed up. Enterprise had the nerve to tell me that if I wanted to I could perhaps see if a van was available on the day I was suppose to leave. Thank but NO thanks. I believe that I am through with Enterprise from now on I'd rather ride a scooter. So Enterprise get this "CREDIT CARD DISPUTE"!!!!!

  114. Enterprise has screwed me BIG TIME. I rented a 16' truck. it had bad ball joints. since you are sitting above the axle it was like riding a jack hammer for 300 Miles. I got pulled over at the weigh station for having a burned out headlight (it was delivered that way) the truck was then red flagged and taken out of service for a broken spring an expired registration. a, no registration in vehicle. I was issued tickets for this both misdemeanor and civil citations. they were supposed to be taken care of within 10 days. enterprise has been to our store 3 times in the last week and a half and no one pucked up the tickets. it has now passed the 10 and i am now in jeopardy of having my license suspended because this problem they promised to take care of has not. I also had to sit at the weigh station for 5 hours waiting for a tow truck. then ruined my clothes because the driver could not get the drive shaft bolts loose so I had to either dit there longer or climb under and help him.then instead of towing it to our store so we could unload it that was too much of an jnconvenience for them. I had to go with the tow truck and 60 miles to the repair garage and tranfer everything from one truck to another. the gut from enterprise (rufus) gave me his cell number and said ge lived right by the repair shop to call him and he would meet me there. I called at least 5 Times and got no answer.

  116. Here I am again - writing a comment in order to get a telephone call. My previous message was posted August 13, 2013. After two telephone calls from Atlanta regional personnel, whom I refused to speak with, I received a third call and against my better judgment attempted to solve the problem with Michele Edstrom, Controller, Atlanta West Region. I have attempted to reach her and have been unable to - she is not listed on the company directory - I redialed and press 0 for customer service - a recording informed me that it was extension 600 and unable to do "that" (which I do not know what "that" means as it was impossible to speak with a person. I called again and this time pressed to speak with Accounting - told to press 2 for other accounting matters - I did so and a recording stated unable to do that at this time. To make a reservation - Enterprise personnel answer the telephone promptly - other than reservations - it is a nightmare - I want a call back - My problem has not been resolved.

  117. My experience with Enterprise seems to echo nearly every post I've read. Bottom line is they no longer care about customers. They give terrible service. And in my case, they have ridiculous policies that the local airport location manager was too much of a pussy to make a judgment call on.

I needed to rent a car in San Diego at 5:20 pm. The "locl" office was closing at 6 and I could not get there in time nor did they have vehicles even if I could. They sent me to the airport main location. I called there first and was told they were all sold out of cars. Of course that's because I was getting an Allstate Insurance rate of 25.75. Magically after complaining that I needed to leave this evening and had to have a car tonight..they came up with a minivan that happened to be an "extra".
When I arrived to rent the car...having had my 85 year old mother give me a ride...they informed me I couldn't rent without a major credit card..no, my VISA debit card was not sufficient for the $100 deposit. This "policy" is ONLY for this location...this "policy" cannot have exceptions according to the snot nosed "manager" who took so much pride in turning away my business rather than make a managerial decision to allow me, a local resident who has rented may occasions before...but NEVER again.. to use my debit card for a deposit. When I asked who was the supervisor that I could talk to that had authority to make a decision like that, he refused to tell me and said I would not be renting from his office tonight but I could go to the local office in the morning to rent from them. He didn't seem to care that I had to be in Los Angeles in 2 hours or that I already spent the past hour trying to locate a vehicle or that Allstate Insurance was the ACTUAL customer and would be paying the bill. This little twit was so happy to turn me away that I thought maybe, just maybe the corporate headquarters should be aware of his attitude and inability to use judgment. Needless to say I nor anyone in my immediate family or circle of friends or anyone that will listen will get my referral for business with ERAC.

I left my sons car seat in one of their vehicles and when i went to pick it up none of the employees saw anything and the employees insisted it was my fault I left the car seat when we returned the vehicle. My guess is they rented it out without realizing it wasnt even theirs. And then they tried to give me a different car seat that was in a shack and it looked like crap.

  119. Upon arrival to pick up our 2013 Black Chevrolet Tahoe when I noticed the outside of the car was filthy that should have served as a indication to the level of customer service I would receive from your establishment. While inspecting the car for scratches with our friendly sales person Jeff, I mentioned how hard it really was to inspect the car given the nature of the dirt on it. When he replied that we were looking for large noticeable scratches that should have further alerted me to the lack of attention to detail one might expect from a rental service. When I got inside the car and found walnuts in the back and no washer fluid it caused me caution because the service regarding the vehicle seemed questionable. Because we were running a short time frame and have rented from this location before we let the less than pleasing state of the car go to arrive at the destination on time. It became all too clear that renting from this location was a nightmare when I had an issue with a broken key.
On Sunday September 8, 2013 around 3PM in the afternoon I realized the key to the rental car had a slight bump preventing the key from use in the ignition. Because we purchased the additional insurance for the car I called the Enterprise Hotline first to ascertain what next steps might be to get some assistance. After receiving absolutely no direction other than to call my locksmith of choice, I knew right then that the signs exhibited to me upon pick up of this car would prove what I already knew: the complete lack of customer service, attention to detail and the failure of this organization to service the product.
I have now become well versed in what happens when you have a mishap with a key. While it was my fault that the key became damaged, because it is your rental car I would have assumed that you would have steps to follow in the event something catastrophic like this occurs. I cannot be the first person that has had an issue with a key. I remained trapped on Sunday and had the car towed to the nearest dealership on Monday morning. I called the rental office in New Hampton where I rented the car from and spoke with a manager named Justin who quite honestly leaves a lot to be desired. I spoke in detail regarding the dilemma and asked if there was a secondary key that I might get to start the vehicle and then service the car from there. He let me know there was no key, that he had no suggestions for what I should do other than call a locksmith. He also let me know he was the manager and that there was no one else I could talk to. When I lamented that I found it a bit hard to believe that a company that rents cars has no plan for what happens in situations like this he said that he would call me right back. He never did.
I got the key for the car. I arrived at my destination. I learned how to deal with it myself which is wonderful but I also learned that renting a car from Enterprise is definitely not a choice I will make again. I have choices, and I will choose any other of your competitors.
I urge you to formulate an action plan with your managers that communicates clearly and effectively to customers who utilize your services. I was lucky enough to have the resources and the where with all to make decisions that could help me in my tragic situation no thanks to y’all. I am worried for future customers who will suffer consequences because of your lack of attention to detail, failure to plan for emergency situations and general disdain for your customers.

  120. Although I rented many cars from Enterprise, I WILL NEVER EVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN. I recently rented a car from them for a period of 1 day. There was damage to the right from fender when I picked up the car and it was noted. When I returned the car 24 hours later, a VERY SMALL dent was noticed in the same fender. This small dent was probably caused by a shopping cart in a parking lot. I was not even in the car when it happened and was not even aware of it since it was on the passenger side. They told me they would retain the $500.00 deposit until the damage could be assessed. They then sent me the estimate with pictures of the damage and a bill of $365.00 in addition to the $500.00. They also included pictures that were doctored to show much more damage to not only the front fender, but the rear fender that had no damage whatsoever. They doctored the photos and even showed fluid coming from under the front of the car which of course was not the case. They then listed parts they said had to be replaced like fog lights and the bumper, none of which were damaged or even touched. I'm not sure if all Enterprise agencies are as crooked as this one, however, they will never see me in their office again.

  121. WOW.....after reading all the complaints on this site, I guess my complaint is not unusual. I have rented successfully from Enterprise many times. I called to rent an auto and was reminded to bring documentation. I have always used my Social Security income statement with Enterprise. I do not have utility bills. There was never a problem. I am 73 and my only income source is SS, I have no job! So I guess I now have been chucked off as a customer by Enterprise, since they say SS no longer counts. I was told two days ago that a manager would call me and no one has. Guess Enterprise will soon not be in business with the average person......they just no longer seem to care. They got to big for their own britches and forgot those that helped to make them what they are......or soon what they were!.

  122. Had a horrible experience at Enterprise, Lansdale, PA. I was proactive and called early to get all the facts of what was required for car rental. Katie said driver's license (got), major credit card (got), email address to sign up as frequent user (got). However, when we arrived I felt like I was on the witness stand and Katie decided to prick and probe with a list of questions. Honestly felt like we were being labeled and certainly misled. Her response was if I'm going to give you a thirty thousand dollar car I have a right to know certain things. Well, the ONLY purpose for the car rental was to save miles on our car as we recently relocated to the area. We gladly walked out of this location b/c we didn't need Katie's (not Enterprise, but Katie's) thirty thousand dollar car -- my husband and I are professionals, and at the highest level in our respective fields, I might add. Keep YOUR car Katie, as we don't need it. With that attitude I'm sure you'll go far in life. Congrats, Enterprise, you just lost customers, along with all our friends, family, colleagues, etc who we plan to share this experience.

  123. Wow...reading everyone's comments has helped me to realize Enterprise is not what they are cracked up to be. Like many of you I am a Platinum renter I have been renting from Enterprise for years! This is the only time I have had had any problems with them! On this particular rental they were two hours late in picking me up and when I got to the store I had to wait another hour in half just to get in my rental. After asked and looking over the lot I told them the rental I wanted, they still put me in something else. I kept that rental for 4 days, when I return the rental come to find out that they had not even debited my account for payment?!? How is this possible? They don't even give the keys when they cannot get there deposit! Come to find out my paperwork that I had been riding around with for 4 days did not even belong to me or my rental; different name, credit card info, different car, and so on...if had gotten stopped by a police they might have thought something was up being as the registration did not match the car I was driving. On top of that the salesperson called me on several occasions trying to fix their mess! I told them I did not have the money at this time, because when I first rented the vehicle and drove off I was under the assumption they had there payment. The salesperson told me don't worry they would charge it to there account because it was there mistake! This rental was messed up from the time they picked me up the time I brought the car back! Now I received a bill in the mail saying I owe them for the rental!!?? Really! After trying to work with them in re-doing my reservation, so they can cover their butts (did this three times), this salesperson is sending me a bill, because evidently she messed up ROYALLY! I have called three times, left my name and number and no one will call me back...avoiding me is not the answer! I have tried to be very patient with them but now I am trying to contact Corporate...still can't get anyone! I am really upset with Enterprise after all these years and me spending money with this company I cannot find any one who will help with this issue. Here I am now needing to make another reservation, which I cannot until this issue is resolved, which I cannot get it resolved because I can't find anyone to help me. I will have to go back up there, which I know is a waste of time, because they don't know what they are doing! This is so unacceptable and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would avoid using the Old Alexandria Ferry location in Clinton, MD. These people either need more training or more mature personnel in that location. This is not over!

  126. I rented from the Greensboro, NC location off of Battleground Ave and my last experience was not only horrible it really showed me that Enterprise doesn't train their management staff on handling conflict. As I have read the comments I am getting a beter picture of why they (Enterprise) are being ousted by so many people across the country. I have been renting from March 2013 - Oct 29 2013 consecutively and spent over $7000. Unfortunately they put me on the Do Not Rent list because of comments I was unaware of from their reps and management about a payment discrepency and I was shocked on how they handled me from the Branch Manager to the District Manager. When I spoke with the District Manager yesterday, he immediately went into telling me why I cannot rent from them ever again, he never once asked me my side of the story. So you can imagine if the Branch Manager actions were deplorable and the District Manager actions were automatically accusatory it let's me know that this corporation got away from what makes them rich and that is "Customer Loyalty". I immediately went to another big chain car rental company and after I explained my story to the manager they were shocked that (1) I wasn't offered to buy one of their cars because of the amount of money I spent (2) a special discount for long time renters and (3) Management did not value a loyal customer. Needless to say I will never rent from Enterprise again, I have also explained my situation on social media and made my friends and coworkers aware that there are other car rental companies that will not treat you the way I have been treated. People be aware of where you spend your money and also be aware of how you are treated the moment "they" feel empowered to act a fool.

  127. I AM DONE with ERAC !! Rented a vehicle on Saturday morning using my debit card & was told by the agent that is was a $200 HOLD, not a charge, for deposit. I asked when the $200 hold would be removed & was told that since it is a HOLD that it would be immediately upon returning the vehicle. Fine, no problem then.. Return the vehicle the next day tot he airport & ask again about the $200 HOLD. Agent then informs me that it wasnt a HOLD, that it was actually CHARGED onto my account, then ERAC would issue the credit back within 24 hours.. WHAT ?? Not what I was told upon picking the car up...

I again asked what the hell he was talking about, that I was told it was only a HOLD & would be immediate. "I'm sorry, I dont know who told you that, but they were wrong"..SURE they were wrong after they (ERAC) had already charged my card nearly $300 when the rental was only $40.... Fine.. 24 hours then, will be back in my account on Monday morning.. Well, it is now Tuesday & guess what.. STILL no credit back from ERAC..I called Customer service & received the typical " My apologies for your frustrations" lines that they are reading off the scripts handed to them.. Then get told that ERAC had issued the credit but my bank hadnt posted yet ( trying to put blame on someone else )..so I called my bank.. guess what.. NO CREDIT RETURN has been issued, received or none pending from ERAC...I call CSR back & then am told. it takes 3-5 days.. BFS !!!

ERAC is NOTHING more than a bunch of LIARS !!! CHEATS !!!.. THIEFS !!... It takes 30 secs for them to charge your card but it takes 3-5 days if they owe you money back....

  128. Rented cars with enterprise the last 20 years. The service has changed. Nafish the supervisor District Manager for Suffolk County Long Island NY is a example of why woman have trouble getting professional positions. She was rude abusive and totally unprofessional. Certainly not interested in her customer base.
October 29th 2013 I rented a car for my daughter and granddaughter to go to Salem, Ma. for the holiday. I rented the car, used my credit card and paid the bill. The only thing she needed to suppy the company was her valid drivers license.
Yesterday I called Patchogue Enterprise office to rent another car for my children( adults) and was told my son would have to supply his credit card and license in order to drive. Told my daughter had already supplied her credit card and license before. This was not the truth, but only her drivers license. I was told they could not drive the car without a valid credit card for each of the them. I spoke to the manager, that was nice, but couldn't change the company policy, so I asked for corporate office telephone number. That number push 4 then 215, than 223, then answering machine. HORROR. I called the Patchogue Enterprise office back and manager said that the district manager said she'd call you right away.. I GUESS 2.5 hours and a 40 min. drive to the shop and she called her again. Nafish district manager, abusive rude, threats and did nothing. At last I hung up. The Enterprise manager called her back as she didn't want to lose me as a good customer. All she got was abuse about me and said she refused to do anything. I GUESS THEY HIRE ONLY THE LOSERS, good quality doesn't move up the ladder. An examplet why woman are making 70 cent to a man's $1.00. she treatened to smear my name on her email to company. I asked for the email address and her supervisors and both refused.
Enterprise makes there starting males wear BUSINESS SUITS, to wask cars. Do they make the woman do this also. I have never seen woman in business suits. A good example of the peter principle.
I'm finished with ENTERPRISE.. As I told district, I purchased a GMC car 1984 and got a lemon, it's now 2013 and I have told they story to thousands and have not bought one GMC car again. 1991 I went to purchase a Saturn and the saleman said it was a GM, the contract was written and the deposit made, I PICKED UP THE CONTRACT AND CHECK and ripped them up. 1st time it's there fault, NEXT TIME IT"S MINE FOR NOT DOING BUSINESS WITHTHEM AGAIN. I purchased how many cars in the last 29 years, almost one every 3 to 4 years. How many other people have told others of this problem and not purchased GMC general mess a crap as my late husband stated.
If you rent with Enterprise again it's your fault and not there's.
COMPANY"S DO IN TIME GO OUT OF BUSINESS, only can hurt so many people...

  129. I LOVE Enterprise...I have only rented from the Charlottesville, VA Pantops location, but those guys rock. Chris, a manager there, is AWESOME, professional, friendly, positive and upbeat all the time. I'm a Platinum member and have spent more than $4,000 this year with Enterprise. Chris always looks for the best packages so I get a good price, and the team there works very smoothly. The cars I've rented have been new or almost new and I have NEVER had a breakdown or problem with any of them. I'm a writer. I work with a non-profit, Kissito.org, who provides medical care to people in Uganda, Africa. I got back from Uganda in October 2013 and had to rent a car to and from Dulles Airport I took the shuttle (both to and from) back to Roanoke. I had two HUGE tubs of medical supplies plus my luggage as I was going over. It was pouring down rain when I arrived at the airport. The shuttle driver unloaded all my luggage from the car when I dropped it off, and then loaded all my bags and the tubs of supplies onto the shuttle without my asking. When we arrived at Dulles he got off of the shuttle, unloaded my bags, and in spite of an injured hip he sustained earlier that day (he was limping and in obvious pain) he rain through a pouring rain, got soaked, but went INTO the terminal to get a luggage cart so I didn't have to leave my luggage unattended on the platform, then he loaded all that heavy luggage for me without my asking. He SAW the need and met it! I tipped him $10 afterwards, not much for what he'd done, but it was all the change I had. Coming back from Uganda the shuttle drivers were AMAZING! They had to deal with several rude, bitchy passengers and take a lot of verbal abuse from some of the riders, but they kept a smile on their face and remained 100% professional the entire time. Both myself and other riders on the shuttle came very close to telling the rude and abusive family in question to take a flying leap into traffic, but restrained ourselves so as not cause more stress to the driver. Once I got off the shuttle he unloaded my bags and was gone before I could tip him! I went inside the Enterprise office and saw there was a line of about 20 people waiting to rent a car. I am 58, use a cane and dreaded the idea of having to stand on my bad knee. Then I saw the Enterprise Plus line. I'm a Platinum member so I got in that line! Hurrah! There was one person in it — Mr. Rude and obnoxious. Yet, the clerk was smiling, asked if we wanted a bottle of water and gave the entire family of whiners and complainers a bottle of water, and got them a car, helped with their luggage and brought out a wheelchair for their elderly, senile mother. I was second in that line, and even though I had NO reservation the clerk got me a car in like, 4 minutes tops. Amazing! Another Enterprise guy loaded my baggage and I was in and out from the time I left the shuttle in about 10-15 minutes. I drive all over the eastern US and only use Enterprise. I've been to fish farms, goat farms, chicken farms, factories, hospitals, nursing homes, state parks and the homes of friends and business clients. EVERYONE always comments on the car and then, when I tell them it's a rental, they ask about Enterprise. I tell them the same thing — Go to Pantops in Charlottesville, VA. Any company is all about its people...they're the ones who make your experience good or bad. I'm sure there are some really horrible branches of Enterprise out there, but I've been lucky. The two offices in Roanoke I've gone to in order to extend my rental have both been friendly and helpful. I have observed unreasonable, screaming customers at both branches —mostly those who are angry they are unable to rent cars because they don't have a driver's license, or because they don't have insurance. Yet...the agents stay calm. Impressive! Thank you Enterprise! If you ever get a chance to promote Chris to a management position higher than he is, or to give him his own office to manage you won't be disappointed.

  130. Just hung with "Mike" at my local Enterprise Car Rental Co. off of Wiscosin Ave in Bethesda. I had a reservation for tomorrow morning @ 0730 therefore I called to inform him that I needed a ride (in an attempt to abide by their rules of notifying them well in advance of the reservation...please keep in mind that I'm no more than 1/2mi from their location. He condescendingly explained "oh, that's too early for us to pick you up...perhaps you can call us back at 0830" I then explained I was actually going to get on the road immdiately after pickup as to avoid the holiday traffic and that the website should have a disclosure that states they can only pickup at specific times...wow, why did I make that statement? This seemed to annoy him even more as he rudely repeated the fact that "yes, we do pick up ma'am but not that early...I wanted to tell this @#$! that I'm deaf and I heard you the first time but I refrained. I have always been a huge fan/customer of Enterprise but it's employees such as this one that would make me switch to another rental company! How Rude & inconsiderate can one be?

  131. I work at Enterprise in Milwaukee. The way they treat the employees is beyond disgusting! I would never rent a car through this company, and would NEVER recommend them to someone else. STAY AWAY!

  132. I rented a car last week from enterprise rentals. as i did not know how long it would take the body shop to repair my car, i paid up front for a weeks rental. and discussed with the manager that the jeep could possibly be ready in 3 to 5 days. He said if that was the case, he would issue a refund for the unused rental. well sure enough I take the car back 2 days early, fueled, washed and vac'ed and was promptly screwed out of my refund.. He told me 5 days of rental, was called a week when my contract stated that a week was seven days. WARNING: Stay away from Enterprise Rentals in Belmont N.C. I will never use this company again.

  134. I rented a car in Marietta, OH and they told me I would get my deposit back. I had the extra insurance on the car and told them I would be returning the car after hours on Wednesday. I rented the car on Monday late like around 5:30. They said my returning the car on that Wednesday after hours was fine and no problems. They upgraded me to a bigger car because they didn't have the car I reserved weeks before. I t was dark when we went to inspect the car and very cold. I didn't see anything wrong in the dark. I left town immediately to go to my sons graduation from the military. Next morning we see a crack behind the mirror in the windshield. Brought the car back on Wednesday after hours around 6:30p. Dropped the keys in the drop box. Waited for a few days and instead of getting back the full deposit I get back 27.99. When I call and ask them they tell me I have charged me for another day and then said I cracked the windshield and they had to replace the windshield. They said but you had the insurance so it was covered. I told them I didnt break the windshield the crack was behind the mirror so you couldnt see it. She said that it was covered. I said you just blamed me for breaking the windshield. She said she didn't. It doesn't matter I bought the extra insurance anyway but she did blame me. I will never rent a car from them again and I suggest no one else rent from them either. They lie and then blame you for there own problems.

  136. I am extremely disappointed with Enterprise rent a car. I have been using Enterprise for many years but no further. Enterprise will no longer have me as a loyal customer. Me and my pregnant fiancé live in Central Islip Long Island. I have a contract job in central New Jersey so I have been staying with my mom for the next 2 weeks. Today my fiance had an emergency, her car broke down so I reserved a car through your online website by using my major credit card as noted below. I drove out to Long Island from central New Jersey so I can rent the car for my fiance having her as an authorized driver. Once I got to enterprise with my fiance the representative at the counter told me that Enterprize holds $250 in addition to the car rental. I had no warning that there needed to be a deposit because if I knew I would of never waisted my time driving to Long Island to be embarrassed. I only had $280 available on my card and the rental was only $157. I thought I would be fine. There is nowhere on the website or within the confirmation that Enterprise would need to hold funds. My fiancé left work for nothing and I ended up having to leave my car with her so she has a car to get back and forth to work. I couldn't have her taking the bus pregnant in this freezing weather. I had to take the train back to central New Jersey from LI. Me trying to rescue her turned out to be a total embarrassment and all day journey. I will never turn to Enterprise in the future. I will also spread the word across Facebook and blogs of the situation to boycot Enterprise for there lack of customer service.

  141. Renter Beware,
If you must rent a car from Enterprise please make sure you micro-inspect the vehicle and have every scratch noted on your agreement - no matter what the agent might tell you. My insurance company sent me to Enterprise while my car was being repaired after I was rear ended. Enterprise charged me $691 to repair a paint scratch (the rear end damage to my car including a new bumper was $2500) without ever providing documentation for the charges. After being shuffled, hung up on, and ignored I got to Dave; the ombudsman (pleasant, polite and responsive) I realized that I was screwed having already paid the bill. And if you wish to file a complaint get ready to pay an additional $25. Have a nice day.

  142. @ Enterprise rent a car - What exactly is your policy when someone rents a vehicle and Purchas’s the extra insurance with Enterprise when your car rental gets stolen while your in vacation in Hawaii a place where we had never been before with 3 grown kids don't know anyone and all our belonging get stolen, keys, money and credit cards, and Enterprise can't pick us up when were stuck on an island with no money, no ID's and you can't send someone from your office to come pick us up! we called and placed a police report and even the officer got on the phone with the employee from Enterprise and told him to send someone out to pick us up and they still kept going on about there policy about returning the key in order to have someone come out and pick us up. How is someone on an island surrounded by water supposed to take the keyless clicker entry key into the water when the rental is a keyless entry that clicks clicks! That would mess-up the key! So no we don't have the key, if someone steel a car most likely they have the key! I would like for Pamela Nicholson at the corporate office the president of Enterprise to respond. There needs to be some adjusting to your policy and arrange for someone to go and pick up your paying customers in a situation like that. Do you think that was handled the right way and to do your customers like that to leave them stranded with no help to send.

  143. My name is Jeff Davis. I live in Winston Salem, NC and I rented a compact on 1/24/2014 on the Enterprise website from the Peter's Creek Pkwy location in Winston Salem, NC. I called to get a pickup from my home and explained I needed to get on the road because my mom was dying in hospice and I needed to get there. The pickup time came and went and I called back after they were 30 minutes late. Again, they promised to be right over. After an hour I called again and an older gentleman answered and said he had not been given any info for my pickup. After 11/2 hours he called me and asked for my correct address as the girl had transposed my address. He got there within 5 minutes after that and he was very apologetic and generally a good guy. I believe his name was George. When we got to the branch I told the young man (Parker) what had happened. She was a young black girl with a name beginning with an S. He asked her what had happened and she just chuckled and walked away. I very nicely told her I hoped my mom did not pass before I got there because of her. Even though I booked the smallest to save on gas I was told they only had full sized cars available, even though I could plainly see they were cleaning a compact at that very moment. I did not have much time to argue so i took the full size but then was asked for my credit card to charge the difference. I booked a compact but then they refused to give me the full size at the same rate even though I had done my part in good faith. I let them so I could get on the road. Once outside Parker told me the black girl was just put into the training program but had been on the cleaning crew up until that week. We walked around the car and there were scratches all around the car which I pointed out to Parker. There was one major scratch on the passenger side door right in the crease where it opened like someone had scraped it against something. I pointed this out and Parker said it is noted. I was very late and signed and initialed the form and left for Greenwood, SC to be at my mom's side. I drove straight there and parked the car at the Nursing Facility and it stayed in the parking place for 3 days with the passenger side away from everything in the last space. Nothing could even get to the door if it wanted to. After seeing that my mom was not going to make it, I decided to turn the car in at the Montague Ave location in Greenwood, SC. I turned it in before the time due with an extra 1/4 tank of gas in it.

  144. The location in Greenwood was absolutely swamped with only a young white guy who talked about his football days most of the time and a young black lady who finally “helped” me. I waited 40 minutes to be seen and then she went outside and walked around the car. She came back in and kind of rudely told me that my insurance would be charged for the "damage" to the passenger side door. I, of course, told her that it was not happening and had her call the Winston Salem, NC location to verify that the damage was there when I left. She verified it and told me to go to my mom that it was taken care of. After another 20 minutes the transporter took me back to the nursing facility and I thought it was taken care of. I had moved in to my mom's room with her and had not intention of leaving her side. 1 week later I received a call from the Winston Salem office saying I still had the car. I left mom's side and went to the Greenwood, SC location and they were closed due to snow. It never snowed the entire week so go figure. I immediately called the Winston Salem, NC branch and was told by a young black man that he would call me back the next day after he spoke to the Greenwood, SC location. He never called me back so I called back to the W/S NC location the next day and a different person told me it was taken care of. My mom passed away on Feb 4th, 2014. I left 3 days after the funeral and came home. While going through my pile of mail I saw an envelope from Enterprise. I kind of expected an apology or a refund of the difference in the full size car price I was charged. Instead, I was shocked to see that they were asking for my insurance information to charge me for the scratch on the passenger size door. I have been in touch with both branches and filed a report with the Corporate Office and am awaiting a call from the District VP for the NC region to resolve the matter. I hope I actually get the call because I am not expecting it from past results. I have always like Enterprise but I really did not need the added stress this caused me while mom was drifting away day by day. Can anyone top this one?

  145. Most annoying person i ever rented a car from. This location would not pick me up, tried to get rid of me renting from their location. the guy was relentless trying to sell me the additional insurance telling me credit card companies don't pay all the time for accidents even if iots not my fault. theyw ill take every penny from me even if accident was not my fault. He was so adamant about making me feel insecure that he wrote down the wrong mileage on contract. When i called i got a voice mail over and over even though they were open. it said they will call me next day. But tomorrow is Sunday so i am sure they wont. My mileage ended in 199, they guy wrote 119.. NO one will call, they don't care. I drove to downtown spokane location which is actually closer to my home. By the way they do not pick you up, they lie. I took a bus from Cheney to downtown and they would not even pick me up downtown saying i was closer to another location. But that location had zero cars

  146. Booked a reservation from hotwire.com had conformation number from online using a prepaid card even got insurance with booking online and they already charged 64 for the insurance was trying to go from sherman tx to dallas fort worth area 80 miles away because my mother passed away. Got to sherman office which is only car rental place in sherman next closes is 50 miles away just to be told I couldn't use card I used when I booked reservation because even though if they swiped on computer it would go thru that branch didn't accept it. I then offered a eleven hundred dolllar deposit to show good faith almost 4 times what they want and was told I was going to steal their 13000 dollar car. Stated I would file bbb complaint because they should honor I had conformation thru online reservation so I could burrie my mother, then was asked to leave because they wasn't going to rent to me even if I could find someone who.could pass their qualifications because I was rude. They couldn't even make an exception so i could go burrie my own mother.
