Hi, I am writing to the Corporate Office because my daughter, Brenda Foosness, Virginia, MN. 55792 has worked for Target Store in Virginia for 18 Yrs.. She started when the store opened in Virginia, MN.. Brenda was one of your better employee's and gave her job there 100+ Per Cent!!! No complaints were ever filed against her, as she usually got a GREAT report from her Boss. Now, she just retired yesterday, 8-5-2011 and after giving your company 18 Yrs. of her life, NO ONE GAVE HER ANY RECOGNITION OF ANY KIND when her shift ended on her last day!!!! I am ashamed of you, TARGET CORPORATION, for not recognizing her in some way with a GIFT, CARD, OR BOTH??? I know this because I am her mother and she told me today, how her last day went. It's not too late to let her know how much you appriciated her 18 Yrs. of GREAT SERVICE for your Co.! GREAT WORKERS like Brenda Foosness do not come along every day! Brenda is one of 5 of my children and all were raised with great work ethics. Sincerely, Shirley Barthelemy, Brenda Foosness's Mom
ReplyDeleteMrs. Barthelemy, I totally understand what you mean. My husband may not have worked long like your daughter, but like her, he has great work ethics and all the boss knew that. But because of that, he end up working for 3 people and injured his back. Nobody cared. He went thru the regiment of wc doctors and claims but never received the care he needed. 2 yrs physically disabled with only 2mnths compensation. no medication. he tried going back to work and only lasted a few more months. He had exacerbated his injures and pain. now he is getting the care he needs and targe no longer wants to pay for his short benefits. he only was compensated for 1mnth. we barely had a christmas and couldn't do much for our son's 10th birthday. we are barely surviving now. i never thought for such a big company with a lot of money, they would be 2faced. show the public they care about people but don't take care of their employees. i believe if they took more care of their employees, their employees would give more to the company. so i understand how you feel and am sorry that your daughter didn't get the recognition she needed. I do commend those people who work hard but never get noticed because they are either just a number or are in the back end. i wish you and your family the best and better future.
DeleteI know how you feel. I've been working for TARGET for log time and i gave to them all my time sometimes sacrificing my family time for being working for them. taking last minute shift that they need to fill because somebody call out. Only one call out in my entire time working there and with doctor's note. Now that i am pregnant and due to my complicated pregnancy i have to go on restrictions and make some changes in my availability they don't want to help me out. At this point i am not useful for them anymore so they already forgot all my rewards and recognition that i got during all this time.
DeleteTarget is a company which doesn't care about their team members.
I agree 100% with all of you,TARGET does not care about the people who work for them. I have worked for Target 12years. I am a sales floor team leader. I used to run the garden center. Never have had a review score less than an execellent. Then when the economy slowed down Target made a lot of cut backs. So now one person does the job that three used to do. And if you can't keep up, then you start getting bad reviews and so on. They discrimanate against older workers. And now we have just found out 2012 will be the last year we receive benefits. The pay increases that Target gives are a true insult to the work you give. Their slogan Expect More Pay Less is directed at the employees. Now that they are opening stores in Canads, (bought out zellers) they will not even keep the zellers employees(because they are unionized). So they will all be losing their jobs, but Target told them they will have the opportunity to come and apply for the positions like anyone else. Isn't that big of them. While the CEO of Target gets his 23.2 million compensation packet for 2011. Corporate Greed at its finest.
DeleteThe Target Store in Cerritos California has a new manager Evelyn Ricks who toots her own horn very. Some say she is a troll (looks like one) Then there is her ETL Kristen, and ETL Amanda whom are having a terrible battle, fighting for the space up her a__s. Brown nosers some people call them.
DeleteShirley-
DeleteLife is tough isn't it? There are a lot of people who don't get the recognition that they deserve. Let's think of a few...oh yeah all the people who sacraficed their lives in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam. Your daughter did her job. She did what she signed up to do. In return she got what we call a paycheck. Get over it.
I will NOT shop at Target Stores ever again after reading these comments. Before retiring I was in management, believe me with 40+ yrs of experience I've learned your workforce is the backbone. Without these employees a company will not have consistent customers returning. Anyone that does NOT give recognition to dedicated employees IS part of the problem in this country today.
DeleteI won't shop Target anymore either! They continue to refuse to remain neutral in the culture war concerning gay marriage. Instead promoting this as cute and perfectly acceptable by putting in their wedding registry a male couple nose to nose. Target has decided they will be offensive to a large portion of their customers who are totally adverse to this and believe in the traditional family! Nope, Target is no one's friend.

DeleteTonight at Target, I witnessed a scene that filled me with disgust and anger. I was at Target in Riverpark, and I was walking down the aisle, and there was a man in an electric wheelchair who had Down Syndrome. The battery on his Target scooter had died, and he was beginning to panic, rocking back and forth and whimpering. I stood there while three different Target employees walked past him, completely ignoring him. I stopped one young employee after he past the gentleman in the scooter. I pointed out to him that the man clearly needed help. I told him that it appeared that the battery had died on the scooter and that the man was beginning to panic, and asked the employee to go get the man some assistance. He said he would find him a new scooter and walked away, leaving the man sitting there, who was now beginning to cry. I walked over to the man and told him we were getting him a new chair, and then walked up to the front to find the Target empl
oyee who said he would help at the customer service desk talking and laughing with another employee. But he said he would take care of it, so I assumed he had already. I walked all the way out to my car, and then decided to take one more peek inside, just to make sure. I walked to the back of the store where the man was, and he was still sitting in the middle of the aisle crying and honking the horn. I got another employee who was walking past and explained to him that another employee had already promised to take care of it but was doing nothing. He walked off, and I sat with the man in the scooter and told him I would wait with him until help arrived. The first employee eventually returned and said that they were out of scooters, and pushed the man to the front of the store in his broken down Target scooter. I was walking out of Target, and as I was climbing in my car, two electric wheelchairs caught my eye. They had been left in the parking lot, one on the outside entrance to the store. My fifteen year old sister hopped on one of the scooters and drove it inside for the employees so the next time someone was in need of assistance, the Target employees had to put out the minimal amount of effort possible to help a customer. You're welcome, Target.
P.S. I was there to buy a $150 graphing calculator. Went home and ordered it on Amazon.
I work for target almost a year. Lately I have been harassed if I don't convince guest to open target charge card accounts. I'm a hard worker n I work fast to keep the lines flowing. Yet,all I'm harassed about is why my percentage in red cards are not higher.. Now they saying if my numbers don't go up, I may be terminated.. Is this even legal???
DeleteWHOA. Congrats to Target for being open to the gay community. I don't think that Target thought, Hey lets offend straight people! Rather, Hey, lets embrace the human right to sexual preference. What an awful reason to stop shopping at Target. Someday, more companies will realize that the world will not end due to gay marriage and then you will have nowhere left to shop.
DeleteNo but God did destroy Sodem & Gammora, I can't wait to see what He does to the United States when all these quote on quote companies change to the abdominal ways of this world! I hope you find Jesus Christ before that day comes I would hate to see you perish! Be blessed. They have lost my business for this and many other reasons.
DeleteTarget cares for no one but target the target i worked for glued open containers of food shut and these people doing it management target is a bad environment it was for me as a injured veteran they could have cared less and always yelled because my injury made me move slower then others. Target needs to go out of business
DeleteTarget needs to better train their customer service reps. My daughter had a terrible experience in our Hilo, Hawaii store on April 5th, 2013. She went to do her grocery shopping there and while at the check out she swiped her card, at that moment the computer systems shut down, she was ask to swipe her card again, and a third time. Finally at another register the transaction went through. When she checked her account the next day, she was minus all of the times that she swiped her card. We went down to Target Hilo, and customer service told her that because their systems were down that night, that there is no record of her transaction going through... WELL HELLO, we have proof that it all went through and they still refuse to help her. So, guess what it's called FRAUD. they better wake up.
DeleteI just want to let you know that your new website sucks. I can't get into it when I am at home and when I try to look at it at work it is extremely slow. It just sucks
ReplyDeleteTARGET REALLY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL, I SPEND >500TH THERE AND THEY WOULD NOT EXCHANGE A $$99.99 RAZOR CAUSE I HAD GONE OVER MY RETURN LIMIT!! HA THERE IS NO LIMIT ON HOW MUCH U CAN SPEND THERE!
DeleteTarget in Wheaton Maryland is the worst place to work! They push us to do everything to make target better but they fail to give us the respect we deserve. One person is expected to do the work that normally takes three people to do, they constantly call and expect us to come in and stay later than we were scheduled because they do not schedule enough people to work. They are also cutting hours yet they are still hiring people to work. Target needs to get real because pretty soon all their committed workers will Leave! -_-
DeleteI believe Target needs to recognize those that know how to do their job right. I have been working at Target for 4 months and they are going about promoting people in the wrong fashion. They are not considering the company as a whole. When they know someone is going to be transferring or retiring why not have the new person selected be cross training for the last month of the retiring employee thus allowing that person's knowledge to be carried on.
DeleteWell, I purchased same thing twice form traget.com and either the ups or target had a hand in shippin the item broke, twice. When I called ot speak with guest services a rude women cut me off just as I started to explain telling me that I had the wrong department and immediately place me in hold limbo. Unprofessional. Will never shop here agian! Good job Target, your the only store with in miles and you lost a grip of business.
ReplyDeleteIts like talking to peggy in India Target just sucks
Deletei agree with you target sucks!!
DeleteI am pretty sure that the "woman"that you talked to wasn't being rude. You weren't getting what you wanted so you made her out to be a rude person. I know how you people are who call to get what you want because you think that you are intitled to it, and when you don't, suddenly everyone is "RUDE" to you. I am sure that you are just saying that you won't shop there again cause you are on here. You sound like every "Customer" who has ever said that.....you will be back. You all are always return shoppers after your egos heal.
DeleteI live across the street from the Target at Hubbards Ln, and Westport Rd,in Louisville Ky,
ReplyDeleteYesterday at around 7:00 pm I was needing a carpet spot cleaner and looked online for Bissell and found one on Targets web site for$99.00 and also looked at Walmarts and Sears and found they had lower and higher prices.Walmarts was the same so I decided to walk to my local Target store to get one and the price was higher than there web site so i asked for a price match and the lady at the service desk said the Target web sight is ran by Amazon and do not match their prices. I said that Walmarts have the same item for $99.00 and she said that i should have shopped at Walmarts which is over 5 miles from me.Tried today to talk to mananger at store and was cut off 3 times and said they are having phone issues.
So now iam writing this that i will take the 5 mile drive from now on and not do any other business with Target since they don't price match like they say they do and if they dont need the income from my shopping their thats fine with me.
SORRY TARGET NO MORE OF MY MONEY :(
Welcome Walmart i'll be spending my hard earned money with you:)
WAL_MART is no different from Target! You are wasting your "hard earned" money wherever you choose to go. Then, when you get mad that wal-mart screwed you over, you will be back at Target, "spending you hard earned money". Only this time you won't get on a website and post how you were wrong.
DeleteTARGET and their website are totally different... in order to get a price match you have to bring a complete ad from whichever store you are shopping at to target in order to get a price match but they will not price match whatever website you use because they require an actual ad.
DeleteOnline prices are usually cheaper because the store isn't paying to keep it stocked on the shelf. Price matches need an ad so the company doesn't get screwed over. It sounds like it was an inconvenience and I would have been annoyed too, but these rules are only in place to protect the company from people trying to scam them.
DeleteGood day, if you are attempting to achieve satisfaction by using Target's Corporate Headquarters you will be disappointed. They deny their ability to track the sale of electronic merchandise which bears its own serial number, and are unwilling to refund full purchase price because of a lost receipt. Target has lost a few more loyal customers and their indifference is disappointing. Too bad their inventory tracking control is not as efficient as their refund denial policy.
ReplyDeleteLesson number one...YOUR RECEPIT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE! How hard headed are you people? It dones not matter what you say you payed for it...Joe Schmo could come in and say it, and it would be a lie, so there is money that Target will never see again...then you come in and you are truthfull,...but Joe ruined it for you. If you have a recepit, it shows that you bought something on a certain date, and it shows what you used as tender, then it even has the date, time and cashier. That is called proof. If you ran your own store, in enough time you wouldn't remember who came in our out, but guess what, if a person walked in with a recepit, then it would show you that the customer is indeed right. And you would be able to give them back their money with no problem. End of Lesson.
DeleteIn just two days, Target has lost the business of 5 hospitals here in Little Rock, AR, and will be losing more if I can do something about it.
ReplyDeleteI just had a HORRIBLE experience, live in Little Rock and will never use Target again.
DeleteTHANKSGIVING is a family affair...SHAME ON TARGET FOR DEMANDING SO MUCH FROM THEIR UNDERPAID EMPLOYEES...THEY NEED A STRONG UNION AND TARGET SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO PAY MINIMUM WAGE TO THEIR HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES SO THE PROFIT CAN TRICKLE TO THE TOP....I AM NO LONGER A TARGET CUSTOMER....OH, AND MANY PLACES PAY DOUBLE TIME FOR HOLIDAY WORK....DOES TARGET?
ReplyDeleteI BELIEVE TARGET SHOULD RE THINK THEIR VALUES AND BECOME MORE HUMANE. SHAME ON THIS ORGANIZATION.....I HOPE THE RECESSION IS SOON OVER SO THESE PEOPLE CAN FIND JOBS THAT PAY ENOUGH TO LIVE A REAL LIFE.
......TARGET !
The Saturday before Thanksgiving I was not happy to see full blown Christmas decor at Target. Nothing greeted me with Happy Thanksgiving. Now they announce that they plan to be open on Thanksgiving night. That is pure GREED. NO I will not be shopping before Friday at Target or anywhere. The USA is in trouble the least we can do is be grateful for the blessing we have.
ReplyDeleteShow some respect Target!
Embarrassed, humiliated, and treated like we were thugs...my wife and I decided to do a bit of shopping for Cristmas early and shopped at your superstore in Madison Wisconsin fitchburg and when we went to check out wrote a check that was denied twice while many customers stood behind us and gave us looks like we were low lifes. You see the total was around $350 and our check kept getting denied because it was over $100 (which we learned when we called the rejection 800 number...well we are hard working and have credit ratings over 800...(Park Bank we just refinanced our home)our checking balance was $1,800...you see if this is how your system works, trust us, we will be passing the word to everyone we know.
ReplyDeleteSo, what you are saying, is that it is your fault for knowing the rules of the bank and you were embarraced because your check did not go through. So, tell me again how Target treated you like a thug? By the way who cares that you have a credit ratng of 800? Really?
DeleteNo it wasn't his bank. Target will not approve a personal check over $100 unless you have a check writing history with them for checks of lessor value. But, ask a Target Team Member what constitutes a "history" and they don't know.
DeleteTo you with the poor spelling and even poorer ability to understand why someone might be(pay attention) EMBARRASSED and made to feel like they were treated like common thugs, (hence the ones who's eyes are piercing tVe back of your head while on line at the store and are taking more time than you have personally allotted them) I to might be embarrassed and would love to shout my awesome credit score from the rooftops. My guess is you must be an extremely miserable person and look for any possible way to make someone feel bad for a natural way that one would feel in that situation...p.s. amanda piebes in hr store 2076 sucks to the highest. signed heather reese (i hope she sees this)
DeleteTarget is another Walmart ever since they got the groceries in the store. I might as well shop in Walmart if I want to wait in long lines with bad service.
ReplyDeleteBYE!
Deletesounds like anon is a homer...works for Target
DeleteTHANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS ALL ALONG, AND SORRY I JUST HAPPENED TO SEE THIS COMMENT THIS CHIRSTMAS 2012. THIS WAS THE STORE I USE TO GO TO EVERY WEEKEND WITH MY ADULT DAUGHTER, WHO ALSO SPENT MONEY THERE. THEIR MERCHANDISE IS NOW CHEAP AT HIGH END PRICES. THEY ARE NO LONGER MARSHALL FIELDS (FROM CHICAGO), AND WHOEVER IS RUNNING THE SHOW THINKS CUSTOMERS ARE STUPID AND DON'T SEE THE DIFFERENCE. SOME OF US STILL REMEMBER. I HAVE ONLY SHOPPED THERE MAYBE 3 TIMES THIS YEAR. TODAY I WAS VERY UP-SET TO SEE THAT ALL THEIR COMMERCIALS ARE AMIDED TOWARD CHRISTMAS SHOPPERS BUT THERE WERE NO CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS OUTSIDE THE STORE, AND NO MUSIC. I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF THERE! AND THERE WERE NOT THAT MANY CUSTOMERS. THE SILENCE IN THE STORE WAS LIKE COTTOM BALLS IN MY EARS. ALL BECAUSE OF A FEW OFFENED PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY DON'T CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS, BUT THEY WILL ACCEPT A GIFT. OPPOSSED TO THE MASS OF PEOPLE WHO SHOP FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS SO THE IDIOTS RUNNING THE SHOW COULD GET THEIR BIG BONUS AT THEIR CHRISTMAS PARTY!! AND IF YOU THINK I HAVE GOTTEN OFF TRACK IT GOES BACK TO THE OLD AMERICAN TRIDITION OF THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY AND TREATING EMPLOYEES, AND CUSTOMER RIGHT. IT'S ALL IN THE HEART. AND IF ANYONE SAYS "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" I RESPOND "MERRY CHRISTMAS", BRING BACK THE REASON WE ARE CELEBRATING TO FOCUS.
DeleteDOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE MOVIE SCROOGE ANY MORE. MANY BLESSINGS TO TARGET EMPLOYEES WHO DO THE REAL WORK. AND STOP BLAMING THE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE FORCED TO DO THINGS OUT SIDE THEIR JOB DESCRIPTION OR LOSE THEIR JOBS!!!
Recently my wife purchased a bottle of wine at your store in Port Huron,Michigan. She was asked for her ID-even though she is 55 years old-policy no doubt. She provided her drivers licence, which the clerk promply scanned. This surely cannot be a policy of Target Corporate?! Scanning licences opens the door to criminal activity and may provide someone w/ information that is proprietary. We are from Ontario. In this province, when proof of age is required, the clerk visually confirms the age and ID from the picture and makes her decision. You cannot scan personal ID,in Canada. We will not purchase product from your stores,as long as this practice continues. With all the cyber crime going on today,I'm very surprised that this was described to us as 'policy'. Say it ain't so!!!!
ReplyDeleteWorld has changed. This is America. Get with it or don't come back.
DeleteDude Stfu!! Obviously you must be a kiss ass who works there but how defensive you're getting. If you don't like it then don't read it!
DeleteIf my ID were scanned for age confirmation...the people behind me would not be happy; I would have called the manager and if no resolution, the police. That is very strange behavior to scan ID's
DeleteThis policy has been in place since 2011, it was put in so that people can't lie about how old they are and to prevent cashiers from misreading IDs. The information that they take from the card is only held on the computers for a day, and no one has access to it.
DeleteIt happened to us in California and it is so silly when purchasing cough medicine. Don't they know how to read dates on Drivers licences????
DeleteTarget's "store policies" are written in stone. The customer does not come first in their sacred book of rules.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I made a 140 mile round trip to our nearest Target to purchase a "lowest price of the season" $90.00 artificial Christmas tree. The Southern Tier of New York store had one tree left - the display model with the sale sign still under it.
"No," we were told by a clerk, "Target doesn't sell the display trees. They would eventually be "donated". We said that didn't make sense since we were willing to buy it. She was very nice and made a call to to ask someone else, but was told "no, display models cannot be sold."
Unhappy that our money wasn't acceptable for an undecorated, unlit, tree with a sale sign under it, we went to the main service desk and asked to speak with the manager. "The manager is at lunch," we were told. Two other clerks came to help - one an assistant manager. "No," they said, "the display model can't be sold." Instead they said they'd take our phone number and call us when more trees came in. However, "the trees will no longer be at the lowest price of the season."
We shared the fact that we'd driven a long way, and one of us was going through daily radiation treatments for Cancer. We carefully explained that it really wasn't possible to make another long trip to Target to buy the tree.
One of the courteous clerks offered to call an executive office to see if an exception could be made. "No," the answer came again. "The display model cannot be sold." The clerk went to see if one could be purchased online at the sale price, but once again the answer was "no."
We'd spent an hour in the store and left without buying anything. Whatever purchases we planned to make were forgotten. "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas," Target.
I am sure that you got to spend Christmas with your family and you should be greatful for that. NAH! Let's get on a website and complain that you couldn't buy something because it was going to be donated. What a greatful person you are.
DeleteDear Anonymous,
DeleteYou have so much to say yet you remain anonymous or should I say you remain a coward...
Sara-
It's Bait n' Switch
DeleteSo Sorry you had this experience. It is the policy of Target not to sell display items unless they are on clearance or discontinued. In Valparaiso, IN we have sold our Christmas tree display models since that tree was on clearance and being discontinued. So Sorry for your inconvenience and what sound like an inconsistent policy.
DeleteTarget In EL Centro, CA has a Manager by the Name of Karla that treats customers like Shit! She thinks that she owns that store. She does not give the right to a customer to talk or ask any questions. Very disappointed about this kind of people that work at the El Centro, Ca Target store. I hope that something is done about it. She is a total Bitch.
ReplyDeleteI purchased a ds3 for my son for Christmas, 2 weeks later Target came out with a gift card. I took my receipt back to "Candace", and the Robinson town center store, and "Candace" who doesnt seem to have had the customer service training, told me, that if I wanted the gift card I had to return the item and repurchase it. I had to go home, unwrap the gift, take it back to the store and repurchase the same item. Even the store reps couldnt believe she was throwing her "power" around like that. I did get the gift cards "Candace". So you still lost. And, why do I have to speak to someone in customer service who cant understand me and I cant understand them because there accent is so heavy. I dont totally heart target.
ReplyDeleteJust remember, when you shop at Target, Wal-Mart, you are buying into supporting China and their inhumane way of treating their employees. Their employees are forced to work 7 days a week, up to 14 hrs. a day and for about $3.00 a day. When you purchase a product for $14.95 it actually costs $.87 to manufacture in China, so just imagine how many products must be made to supply the wants of the USA, cheap pay for Chinese employees result in cheap products for USA. It is not only the Chinese employees who suffer, you have India also, any big country with plenty of poor workers to take advantage of. When you buy quality products, they last longer, therefore you do not have to replace them as often. Keep it Simple! Buy better, buy less! Made in the USA! If you are not happy with your position, simply change it...at least you have a choice, Chinese employees do not have a choice! It is forced labor at the hands of Wal-mart and Target.
Deleteyou people hire so called plumbers that are not even licensed which is required in every state .i entered your store in crestwood ,IL and got an attitde from this knucklehead Kurt ,got his name off his jacket... anyway he telling me and another person walking in that the washroom is out of service and to leave with such an attitude.this guy was rodding the urinal with a power rodder what a dingdong not how it's done .being a plumber myself I decided to card him for a plumbers license and sure enough he is not licensed .unskilled want to be doing work for big company's like target haa go figure !
ReplyDeleteUnited Septic what the heck is that "septic" really !! did some research they are not to engage in any form of plumbing work or repairs other then drain cleaning . next time have your work inspected bet you will learn more abouth them then ? I bet they are OVER priced to .keep in mind the average hourly rate of any licensed plumbing contractor is 122.00 to 140.00 love to know what they charge your asses .bad thing is 2 weeks after that washroom incident I happened to be shoping there again and seen them going in with a new water heater , can imagine how that worked out
WAKE UP TARGET AND OTHER CONSUMERS ALWAYS CHECK YOUR PLUMBERS FOR A PLUMBERS LICENSE AND BONDING INFO
Horrible customer service for Target online. It should never take 2 hrs of my time,2 times of being hung up on and 3 heavily accented, non American CSR's to resolve a issue. Time for a change Target! Many Americans need jobs give it to them and maybe then we will come back!
ReplyDeleteAMEN. Can't understand a word they are saying and their comprehension skills are worse. Will we see Target filing for BK? Probably. Bad customer service will eventually bring a business to it's knees.
DeleteDo you know that Target fires good employees because they didn't get enough customers to sign up for their credit card? This employee was told they were hard working and one of the fastest on register but they didn't meet their quota on signing people up for the red card.
ReplyDeleteREALLY??? Won't shop there anymore.
NO ONE WANTS TO APPLY FOR THESE STUPID RED CARDS! I work at the target in Wheaton...red card applications take forever to fill out especially when there is a long line and at the end we still get graded on our speed, which is also stupid because most of the customers take their time while checking out. They should have a special person at customer service to the red card applications. You guys underestimate how hard it is to work at target. Working long hours, dealing with rude "guests" and employees, and being forced to work with a smile on our faces everyday gets annoying. It would be nice if target corporate did random inspections once in a while.
DeleteGood Morning TARGET CORPORATE HEADQUATERS
ReplyDeleteLet me start by advising I will NEVER EVER shop online at Target.com and for that matter
I will never step foot in a Target again. And everyone I came in contact with I will advise]
Of the nightmare I have encountered with your service/
I Placed an order 12-16-11 order xxxxxxxxxshipping is free and will be delivered by Christmas.
On 12-18-11 I received an e-mail that this order would be delayed and could
Not be guaranteed to arrive by Christmas New Estimated Delivery Date: 12/23/2011 - 12/28/2011
This was not an option since this was for my Granddaughter. The system advised I could cancel
Or update the order. So I updated my order 12-18-11 and Added express delivery and additional
$40.00 to guarantee that the items I ordered would Arrive in time for Christmas.
New Estimated Delivery Date: 12/21/2011. I was given a new order #xxxxxx I did not realize that I had placed a 2 orders for the same Items until I received the order confirmation.
You may not bill for the items until they are shipped however you put a hold on my credit card
For the total amount until it does ship. I called your customer service 12-19-11 at
TARGET.COM 1-800-591-3869 to make sure that the first order was cancelled
because at that time the order had not shipped I spoke to Katie ref#xxxxx thinking all was
well. Until 12-20-11 I received another e-mail advising that my first order #xxxxxx had shipped
via ground shipping. I call again 12-21-11 and spoke to several customer service reps, put on hold 6 times
advised no supervisors on hand to speak to me and disconnected 5 times. I spoke to Elia, Karen., Mario
and many others that I just stopped writing down their names because I just could not seem to get my
issues resolved. Please note that every customer service rep I spoke with I had to give them all info
over and over again. Finally I was able to speak with a supervisor Rachael ref#xxxxx she advised that she could not cancel the second order because it was scheduled to ship on
12-21-11 and I would have this by no later then the 23rd. But I should also have the 1st shipment by 22 or 23 as well. She would make
sure to send me out a label to return the express item and re-inburse the express shipping fee.
Ok then I am finally ok with the whole issue. But last night again I received another e-mail advising that
There was an unexpected delay on the express order xxxxx New Estimated Delivery Date: 12/28/2011
Again I was ok because the first order would be here in time for Christmas. Wrong again I just checked
The UPS tracking number xxxxxx for order#xxxxx and the delivery date is 12-27-11.
So once again I called your TARGET.COM customer service and ended up in INDIA spoke to Shane
Ref#xxxxxxx. Was advised to call back because no supervisor in the office to assist me, I work for
A large company and I have never heard of a company having employees come in without supervision. I now have no Christmas present for my granddaughter .and no assistance from Target. Thanks for nothing
Again I will never shop Target anything again.

I won't have a gift for my granddaughter either. Well, not the one she asked me for. Target.com not only made a mistake but will not refund my money until I return the mistaken merchandise that was delivered and it gets processed. I won't have the additional funds to get her a nice gift. I am sad and upset that Target has put me in this position.
DeleteI have loyally shopped at Target for years, but I will no longer be giving them anymore holiday business..I will purchase all of my electronics or gaming type stuff elsewhere! My son received a game for Xbox and it was the wrong game...I went to return it without a gift receipt (someone else had purchased it and I didn't have a gift receipt) so my son couldn't get the amount back that the game was purchased for (so he could get a different game at the same price). Targets policy is (which I wasn't aware of), if you purchase a video game and you don't have a receipt you only get back the $ amount of the lowest on sale price they had during the holidays, so he ended up only getting back $30 for a $40 game, which the game was purchased for the $40. So my son had to put $10 towards a christmas that was already paid for and Target made $20 off of us because of not having a gift receipt!!!! THAT IS A SCAM!! So because my son was gifted something without a receipt, he has to pay the price? REALLY??? I'm done with target! And by other posts I've read, others are fed up with Target's thievary as well!!
ReplyDeleteI am having twins any day now, so planning ahead, I ordered a second carseat Dec. 3rd of this year, from Target. My first carseat came without complaint but when my second order failed to show up, Target has been the worst company to deal with. They issued me a shipping return slip to return the picture frame that was sent to me instead of the carseat and when they finally received the frame, they issued me an egift card that didn't work. It's been 3 weeks already and will be delivering any day now. They want to issue me a physical giftcard that can take up to 5-7 days in which my children will probably be here already. So Target will be forcing me to take one child home while the other has to wait all because of a mistake that they had made, shame on you Target! Surely, this will be the last order I will be making.
ReplyDeleteI went the day after Christmas to return 2 sweaters for a better size, only to be told that they wouldn't accept the return. They said that because the items were no longer being sold in the store, that they were "zeroed out". Was my 72 year old mother supposed to have the ESP to know that the merchandise wouldn't be returnable when she bought them as gifts? She said she bought them on sale about a month before Christmas. It wasn't like they were dirt cheap on clearance! I brought them back brand new with the tags on! They wouldn't give me a credit or do an even exchange. All they did was give me a 1-800 number. I called and got someone with an obviously Indian accent who only repeated the company line about their "policy" and said "I'm sorry". What ever happened to the customer part of customer satisfaction? All Target cares about is their bottom line. They take advantage of people like my mother who buy clothing as gifts, knowing full well they have no return value. Then why does Target send clothing to Goodwill stores, where they are re-sold? As far as I'm concerned, Target can keep their precious "policy" and stick it, because I'm not shopping there any more. You see, any good feelings I had about Target have now been "zeroed out"!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Target in Mira Mesa have rude cashiers and I have walked out of there too many times feeling like that was the worst customer service provided. My latest experience was on Thurs dec 30th between 9 and 10 register 2. She did not greet anyone by saying hello or say thank you. When she was done checking me out she did the same thing to the customer behind me and asked with her hand sticking out for the coupon the customer had in her hands. NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE MIRA MESA TARGET! I have decided never to go to any Targets because of my experiences and there are many other compeitor stores that would appreciate my purchases.
ReplyDeleteAs I was shopping at the Target store located in Venice Florida. I over heard a young female employee talking to another woman who I assumed was her manager. The employee was trying to tell her she was allergic to a certain cleaning solution used to clean the shelves and the woman started yelling at her and told her to use it anyway. So much for Targets safety policy. The kicker was I went over to the electronics department looking a the PS3 games and I over heard this same woman talking to two other women who I assumed were management making fun of the girl behind her back. I got disgusted and walked out. shame on you Target.
ReplyDeleteTarget Customer Service at 2370 S Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA. provides bad service. I bought 2 White IPod Touch(4th Generation) as Christmas gifts for my daugthers from Brea CA Target and one is defective (per Apple Store consultant). I went back to Brea store a week after Chrismas but they have not rec'd their shipment. Went back and forth to that store for 2 weeks, still nothing. Found out West Covina in Azusa has them but will not replace the defective IPod. Unbelievable, the stupid employee didn't even scan the item and was making so many excuses. He even advised me to go back to Brea since it is a different district. I was so upset because I already explained to him Brea store does not have it in stock. I am a Target shopper for a long time and I see their customer service is going downward. Management has to hire more qualified people to provide excellent service. I will not be surprised if this store will close down due to bad employees. Workers do not take care of their customers as expected.
ReplyDelete"It's a common occurrence. You go to the department store and buy an item, only to find the price you were charged was higher than the price marked. In those cases all stores are required to refund the difference between the price charged and the price marked."

My name is Christina Garcia, I shop at Target stores on a regular basis, at least twice a week. Generally they are pretty good on
customer service and such. Tonight not so much. I went into the Target by my home (1600 Saratoga Ave
San Jose, CA 95129) with my fiance to buy a few things I needed. We came across an end cap with Keurig coffee products, from
the machine to the pod things, well what caught my interest was the price of the machine the tag said 28.19. It was a great price. I
took it up to the register with the rest of my items to purchase and it rang up 164.99, I explained to the cashire that it rang up
wrong and she called Jerry, who I assumed was a manager. we showed him where we found the item and he said " The actual tag
was hidden." I explained to him that because the item was fully stocked over the price that was marked we should get the item at
28.19. he said "If we read the fine print we would have known it was not the correct item." I told him the tag says Keurig in bold
lettering. He continued to argue with us so we walked away. When we got back to check out to purchase the rest of out items we
asked the cashire if he was the manager, she informed us that he would be taking over so we asked if there was another manager
and she pointed us to him, his name was Patrick. We explained to him the situation and he simply said "Usually we give the item
at the price shown but because the price was so high he couldn't do that." That seems a little misleading, personally if a product is
marked wrong reguardless of the price it is regularly we should get that item for the price that is shown. (especially if the tag says
the name of the product). Thank you for reading this e-mail.
After being lied to by one of your customer service reps, I called in and spoke with two of your "account mangers" and neither one would fix my account issue even after both admitting fault by your company. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. After being a loyal shopper and card hold since 2008 neither me or my family will be shopping with Target anymore. Shame on you :(
ReplyDeleteI love you target... and alot better then walmart. thats all(:
ReplyDeleteI bought a IPad from Target and I don't like it . I called Target to return it and I was told that if I opened it then I could not return it. That was bullshit and I will never shop Target again . Their return policy sucks. How do you know if you like the product if you don't try it. Target will lose out on a lot of business when I post on Facebook what a scam of a store they are. Walmarts return policy is so much better.
ReplyDeleteAll of the reason above and more are why I don't and will never shop at Target, they are the worst store ever!
ReplyDeleteChecking senior citezens ID for the purchase of wine is BS! I'm never shopping at Target again. So long sucker, my pharmacy purchases probably cover one or two of the morons working there.
ReplyDeleteTarget, what have you done to my daughter?
ReplyDeleteJust a year ago she graduated from college, was on the varsity women's rowing team, a real go getter with a bright smile and take charge personality. She'd worked summers for the college's Aquatic Center, teaching children to kayak, row, and sail and they loved her. She had a beautiful Hollywood smile with the sparkle to match, everywhere she went people would sit up and take notice. We were so proud when she was hired at Target as a Team Leader, so confident she was on her way, learning management, starting a career.
She came home this weekend for a visit. This child is now tired, haggard, self doubting, feeling she is a failure at everything. My heart just breaks. She's been written up on some sort of correction, mostly outlining incidents that never happened, a few that did but are over exaggerated, and one true incident. That was when she didn't report to work on time because she didn't realize the store manager had changed the schedule after she noted down her work week. She's not allowed to discuss work outside of working hours with other employees so I guess she can't call to find out if the schedule is changed. Yet this manager called her yesterday at 4:00A.M., hours before she was to be at work, to discuss her assignments for the day. Bottom line, she is now desperately trying to keep from being fired over a few trumped up indiscretions, while management is using dirty tricks and unethical tactics to make her look bad.
Why? Why would you hire someone to train to become a manager and put them through an Auschwitz horror instead, and fire them a year later? What's the point Target? Anyone in corporate America knows if they have an employee that is trying to do a good job, it's much cheaper and more productive to work with them than to fire them and go through another hiring. If you didn't train the first one you dump, the second one isn't going to know what to do either! Maybe on the third try you'll miraculously get one who already knows how to do the job? Like the chances of a tornado hitting a junk yard and creating a Boeing 747?
Good luck with your Sacramento Madison store in CA, remodel and all. Our advice to our daughter is to get the h@ll out of there. It's poison, and if anything, teaching her bad management skills. That kind of management style is death to a company.
did anyone from Target ever contacted you?
DeleteAuschwitz? Maybe you shouldn't use such offensive exaggerations. I hardly believe your daughter has suffered anything that the victims at Auschwitz suffered.
DeleteHey Target...Want you to know who you have representing your stores...I attended the Daytona 500 yesterday (2-27-12), with my 22 year old daughter and 8 year old disabled son. As Juan Pablo Montoya (you know...the guy who hit the jet dryer...)exited the garage area for the walk to his car, he snubbed no less than 5 kids (one of whom was mentally handicapped), who sought his autograph. Robby Gordon signed for them, and found time to throw a football twice to a young boy, Joey Logano took time, Dave Blaney took time, as did your car owner, Chip Ganassi. JD Gibbs signed autographs, as did Tony Raines and Max Pappas. Montoya snubbed the fans during the entire Speedweeks events last year as well. NASCAR boasts a fan friendly environment, and for your driver to blow off kids asking for an autograph is sickening. If he wants to refuse an adult, fine, but a kid? Really? just sayin
ReplyDeleteI live in Tyler, Texas, and shop regularly at your Target store here.
ReplyDeleteToday I went into the store to purchase soft drinks for our office. I had 9 cases of various soft drinks in my cart. I was promptly told by the lady checking me out that I could only purchase 6 cartons at a time. I questioned if perhaps there was a limit because of a sale price, could she just charge me regular price for those over the sale limit. She emphatically told me that regardless of price, the store policy was a 6-case limit for any one purchase. I then told her I didn’t understand the policy, but that she could keep her soft drinks, and I would go across the street to Walmart and purchase the amount of soft drinks I needed. This was an inconvenience for me, since I had items I was purchasing other than soft drinks.
Can you tell me if this is Target’s policy – that at no time can you purchase over 6 cases of soft drinks at a time? And, if so, under what rational was this policy implemented?

Target is terrible. My brother gave me a gift at target (over $70) and because I did not have a receipt, the item was not opened, and it was not passed the 90 days they have posted on their return sign--they would not take the item or give me a credit for the value of the item. They said I was stuck with it unless I could produce a receipt. I told them it was a gift, they said your brother should have asked for a gift receipt to give you. They were rude--very rude and unprofessional. I never plan to return for anything and my credit card will be cut up today.
ReplyDeleteYOU ALL IDIOTS! just follow the policy and stop complaining! go ahead! not to shop anymore! we dont need slow-minded persons that cannot understand that the RECEIPT IS IMPORTANT and the 90-day policy! you already used the item or you did not took care of it, and then you want a REFUND OR EXCHANGE?! how poor are you?!
ReplyDeleteAll You Idiots---- Perhaps you have a Target name badge cuz it sounds like u have a real problem for people who are not privy to target policies. By the way I work for target and the policy is. if you have no receipt. then u could receive a gift card for the value of the item. Either way It wasn't handled properly because.................c'mon everyone say it with me..................... TARGET SUX>>>>!!!! selfish company, go to hell target everyone shop somewhere else; heather
DeleteI live in Central Florida and there are several stores I have been to either early int he morning or late at night and have observed employees parking inthe closest parking spots. I have spoken to management at the store to inform them but have been told that they have employees who work during closed hours and over night hours and park near because of safety.
ReplyDeleteMy reply is : so I have to jelpardize MY safety by parking farther away in the evenings??
The policy show be that employees park at one end or the other of the store or a place be made available in the back with lighting and security during shift changes, more lighting be installed, security escort employees out when it is dark or that management be in the parking lot at shift change to observe the employees parking in the close parking spaces.
Even Wal-Mart has a policy of having the employees park in designated areas away from customer-conveniet areas and I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart, but they are starting to look a little a better.
It is rude and insulting to have to park and walk farther when I am trying to get in and out and employees who are there for hours are taking up the closer spots!!
The e-mail address provided no longer works. There is a Contact Us link with a way to e-mail them through their website, but I don't know if it actually goes anywhere. Couldn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteI e-mailed them complaining about my Target card (which I have now cancelled) having it's credit limit reduced without notice and apparently for no reason. I usually pay it in full due to the high interest rate, but have let it carry a small balance the last couple of months. When I went to make a purchase at their store, the card was declined. So I called and they said the available credit limit had been lowered without my knowledge, though they didn't know why given my stellar history with them. Never going over the limit or paying late. Apparently this is perfectly legal, they don't have to notify you for up to 30 days AFTERWARD. Now they've lost me as a customer because this is the last straw with them. I'd rather go to Walmart, and that says a lot because I absolutely HATE Walmart.
Ok, I just had to write in on this one! I live out in the country an hour away from the closest Target and shopping centers so I really don't shop a lot in town. Well, my daughter is having a baby soon, my 4th grandson, and she had her registry there so I wanted to get her something she had on her list. My husband and I don't have many days off so I gave him our joint debit card to go grocery shopping near where we live and I and I took the checkbook with me to start my long trek to Target to get my daughter that special something that she wanted for the baby. After shopping for about an hour, (I also got my husband a Fathers Day gift ahead of time) I went to go check out and go throuh the process of having the gift I was purchasing taken off the registry and lo and behold after writing out my check and showing them my drivers license, they informed me that since I had not written checks there before they could not accept my check. So I am standing in line, embarrassed as hell obviously, and I asked them why. They told me to go to customer service and call ths authorization number they gave me. So I did and the foreign person, who I could barely understand informed me since I obviously was not a regular customer and had no check writing history with them, I could not use a check to pay for my items. He then asked me if I had a debit card to use instead and I told him that My husband had it and I wanted to write a check. What was the big deal?? I had plenty of funds in my checking account, why would they accept my debit card from the same account and not my check? He told me that I needed to shop there more and write checks for smaller amounts and work my way up. WHAT!!??? I have never heard anything so stupid in my life. This is a TARGET policy. It had nothing to do with me or my checking account, of which I have had for over 20 years. So I asked him if I drove all of the way home, got my debit card and came back (2 hour drive) they would check me out? He said yes. What the hell!!! He said that if I spent a little less than what I was writing the check for they would accept my check. Well I have never heard anything so ignorama in my life. I left my items in their bag there and drove home to get my debit card and go all the way back so I would have the gift for my daughter the next morning at her baby shower. I got home(already 7pm) and told my husband about it and he told me to check online for the gift so I did and found it almost $40 cheaper on Amazon. So I called the customer care center at Target(where they were holding my bags for me till I came back with my debit card (same account mind you)and told them to put my items back and I would never shop in their store again. I never will either. Now some of you are asking why I did not just pay in cash or use a credit card. I don't have or need credit cards and I rarely carry that much cash with me. I hae to say that is THE MOST STUPID POLICY I HAVE EVER HEARD OF. What the hell is this world coming to?? Just had to say my piece!!
ReplyDeleteMost cashiers are ok but it's the so called supervisors that think they know it all. I was at the Bellingham, WA Target this mornning check out around 10:30am. There was five of us in this shopping trip and planned on buying five REACH floss that was priced at $0.97 and we had a coupon for $1.00 off. The stupid guy named "LUKE" was such an asshole, he insist that we can only use one coupon for all of us even though the coupon says "limit one coupon per customers and no more than 4 like coupons per transactions. We asked if we can do five transactions, a dick he was, he refused to allow us to purchase the fifth item. He actually told my husband to stop trying to explain to him what the coupon means as though he knew what it meant. We've been couponing for awhile and we know what the hell we are doing and understand the coupons' wordings.
ReplyDeleteHe said to us that he can totally refuse all our coupons if he wants to because he can. What an asshole, I'm already using nice words to describe him. If he represent how corporate wants them to treat their customers, then they will be closing out pretty soon.
The people at the corporate ladder doesn't seem to care about their business seems like and their people doesn't give a shit either. They are indeed doing a great job in driving the customers away and I hope they lose all their customers to other companies.
If you hate Target you guys should just go in and check out a big cart full of meats and ice cream.....make sure to pick the most expensive ones.
There is a 17 year old homeless youth working at the Target store in Missoula Mt. His mom and family moved to NJ for work related purposes. The youth chose to stay behind and finish school in his beloved state of Montana. He has stayed with friends and relatives while trying to go to school and work at Target to take care of himself as much as possible. Some kind person has donated an airline ticket to this hardworking youth and the Target store knowing the circumstances has denied him time off to fly to NJ and visit with his mom, step dad,and siblings. Can you believe that? I think they are cruel and are playing politics with a youth.
ReplyDeleteDear homeless in Montana, This the crap i f-----g hate about target.I worked there and bottom line target is sweet to their LOD's, hr's, Team leaders. and their corporate employees. They could give a shit about the common employees which whom they deligate all the task to be done in a ridiculous amount of time..I wanna say to you it takes guts to do what ur doing and kudos.Perhaps you could try and find a job with a company who can recognize how important it is to connect with family at such a time. They did the same to me,i was they're best bud when they needed me to work extra and I was invisible when I needed something.I was a great worker and so are you so lets all spread the word and make target responsible for they're sorry practices and so-called policies Amanda Piebes store 2076 is a fat grouchy witch and I hope her baby has colic and keeps her up all night, then she'll have a reason to be a huge BITCh see ya! heather reese
DeleteTarget Sucks. I placed an order on target web page and they shipped the item, it never arrived, and I had to email customer service to ask. They tall me that they did not find the addres, so they were going to return my money via gift card, and they said that they already send it, but I have not received it yet. I started to think that Target stole my money. I dont know what to do. Target SUCKS, and I wil never buy anything in Traget Again.
ReplyDeletetarget located on 3101 jefferson david hwy have the worst service on the target cafe employes serving with unhappy face's talking bad word's i ask for my soda the was already paid in this big lady said WHAT wait in look to me like she want to hit me my son said let get out here what trainig do they receive ?!
ReplyDeleteToday while shopping at Target, my young daughter asked an employee how long
ReplyDeletewould it be before the restrooms were opened, ( they were being cleaned). An employee told her, the restrooms wouldn't be ready for 20 minutes, and that she could go to the "Big Lots" store next door. My question is, if the restrooms are cleaned every hour, like they say, does it really need to be closed for 20 minutes each time? That means its closed more than a quarter of the time. You should treat customers better. This occurred in the San bernardino , California store on orange show road.
Today, I shopped at your Santa Rosa, California store. There are many stores that share the same parking lot. I parked in front of the Sports Mart store (which is right next to Target) and after shopping at Sports Mart walked next door to shop at Target. I was walking to my car with a cart full of merchandise (8 bags worth) and just as I got to the middle of the crosswalk, my cart shopped dead in its tracks in the middle of the parking lot. I thought that the wheel of the cart hit something but a women standing next to me said that the cart would go no further because of an invisible barrier. I thought she was joking. I struggled to get the cart out of the crosswalk. The woman also had a cart with groceries and two small children with her. Her cart had also stopped. We both had to pick up our bags and carry them to our cars. I could not carry eight bags at once so I had to leave them unattended while I went to my car. The women with two children had to do the same thing. Now my question is why the barrier can't include the whole parking lot. I understand that some people take the carts out of the area but once again why can't the barrier include the entire parking lot...why can't I park anywhere on the lot without having to have my cart stop in the middle of the crosswalk in the parking lot. Not only was this dangerous but I am a senior citizen and don't move as fast as I used to. The woman with the two children also had a rough time carrying two children and all of her groceries. Since this is the weekend before the 4th, Target was extremely busy so what happens when all of the parking spaces are taken at Target? And where is there a sign saying "Target Parking Only". There are no designated parking spots for any of the stores...just one big parking lot. I called the store manager but all he told me was that it is a corporate decision and he could not do anything about it. I don't think that this policy was thought through before it was implimented. Needless to say, I am no longer a fan of Target and will have to think long and hard about ever going back. Too bad....Target may well have lost an excellent customer.
ReplyDeleteTo all those people who have issues with Target: they're not weeping that you're gone. They, like every large business, have many customers across the nation who will go there, regardless of your angry posts. As a loyal Target customer, I say good riddance to all who have issues with the store because I don't want your negativity ruining my shopping experience, which is great if you're smart, have common sense, and don't try to play the system! For college, I lived in a town where all we had was a Walmart, and the most common phrase I ever heard was "I can't wait to go home to shop at Target again!"
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had a horrible experience(s) or dealt with rude people. But remember: no place is perfect and neither is any person. So either shop there, or don't. But put your big boy/girl pants on, wipe your tears, and go on with your lives. It's really going to be ok. :)
Your naive and rude response indicate that you are young and poor. You believe you are not entitled to respect from those who want your business. That's fine for you-tip the rude waiter, give the nasty salesperson a commissioned sale-The rest of us who demand respect from the service industry will continue to do so.
DeleteAmen to respect. my guess is the only thing you do well is rolling blunts. I to agree demand respect from the store I pour my money into.by the way there are no tears,(were grown) and I hardly believe my complaints (5th amendm3ent)will hardly interrupt your shopping. have a lovely day and may your target trips dont ever require you to ask for help because anything more than asking where the electronics dept is, u probably wont get the help amanda piebes from store 2076 is the worst hr rep known to man shes rotten in every sense of the word.
DeleteI am writing to complain about the service I got in the Lake Zurich store.....I was returnig a set of dishes without a receipt, all I wanted was store credit and was told that I could not return them due to the fact that I had a return of $49 about a few months ago, I was really ticked off and talked to a manager also, he would NOT let me have the store credit either due to the fact is that I would be over the $70.00 return linit for the year.....I was planning on shopping that same day with the credit I had, so in turn,I told the guy that NO WONDER TARGET WAS LOOSING BUSINESS, everyone is going to Walmart or Kohls, they do not treat their customers like this.....Your policies stink, it is not like your were going to loose the money!!!!!! Get a Grip, you'll be closed soon if you keep this up.....
ReplyDeleteI was visiting the Altoona, Iowa Target this week and it was very HOT. As you can see by the news the temperature hit like 97 degrees today with a heat index of 101 degrees. One of your employees was out getting carts earlier this week in a heavy red polo shirt and pants, not shorts, but pants. I don't think it's right that your employees not be able to wear shorts in such heat. Also, I do not think it is right that the employees are not allowed to have a small fan at their stations or registers. These same employees are not even allowed to have a bottle of water to keep hydrated in such a horrible heat. I understand your buildings are air-conditioned but this is still ridiculous. When I asked someone at the register, I was told that fans are not "brand" and they are not allowed to have beverages or food at their registers because it may spill and it is unprofessional. I only shop at Target but even Wal-Mart treats their employees better and allows them a fan. What happens if there is a diabetic that needs something to eat or water? I know for a fact that my company provided hand held fans that were "brand" so your company can get the same type of fans with your "brand".
ReplyDeleteI also heard a lead ask an employee while waiting, to make sure notes are put on everything in the customer service area, because you never know if they were to get hit by a car. Sounds like Target cares more about their return merchandise than their employees. What if that gentleman in the parking lot hauling in carts, dripping of sweat were to collapse? I think your company needs to care more about their employees and treat them better. I love the Altoona Target and their employees are some of the nicest. They need to be treated better. Thank you.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Shopper!
Target –
ReplyDeleteI just read an article in today’s St. Pete Times http://www.tampabay.com/ about WalMart firing a greeter because she accidentally touched a WalMart guest while she (the greeter) was slipping and falling.
http://www.tampabay.com/features/humaninterest/article1237349.ece
Apparently WalMart has a strict policy to never touch guests…
If you were to hire her, you’d probably achieve national news coverage. This really makes WalMart look like a bunch of turds…
I hate WalMart… Go Target!!
Go Target – go!!

To Whom This May Concern,
ReplyDeleteI am e-mailing you this because, I have been a Target Customer for YEARS. I loved Target. But, these past events have been HORRIBLE. On one occasion, I ordered a piece of wall art from Target.com, and when it shipped, it was completly different, when I went to the Target to return/exchange it, the associates were so RUDE. Gave me attitude and proceeded to tell me there was absolutly nothing they could do. Now how does that seem right? I came back a later day and another associate gave me a refund, but what I wanted was just to exchange it for the piece that I wanted, it was in stock and they sold both the item I received and the item I waned. That is poor customer service. Then, I come back and have two coupons I want to use, two that are on seperate items. The Cashier didn't greet me, didn't look me in the eye, NOTHING. (strike one for me), then, one coupon I had a picture of a shirt, and was for $3 off any woman's appearal. The second coupon was for $5 off a pair of Mossimo Denim bottom. I grabbed a shirt, and a pair of white denim shorts. As I was checking out, she scanned both items, and scanned the $3 coupon, that came out fine. Then, as she proceeded to scan the other coupon, it came up "No item matching coupon" (or something along those lines), and she said to me "It won't work because the shorts aren't blue" I replied "They don't have to be blue for them to match, it says any denim bottom" she said scanned it again, and said "I'm telling you, it's not going to work". As she called for a manager, she had the rudest tone of voice for being a cashier. Then, as a manager is walking up, the cashier only says to her "I need you to look at these coupons" so, since she didn't full explain the situation I proceeded to say "one coupon is suppose to be for a shirt, and the other for the shorts" . The manager then PUT HER HAND UP AND SAID "I'M TALKING TO HER, SHE ASKED ME TO LOOK AT THE COUPON SO THAT IS WHAT I AM DOING" The manager had NO RIGHT to put her hand up and act like that. I was simple stating the situation to her. After all was figured out, the problem was the cashier didn't pay attention to the coupon, and scanned them in the wrong order. I am so fed up with going to target and getting an attitude from your employees. Just because I am a 19, does not mean that I can't get the same respect. I will most likely not return to any target. IF YOU COULD RESPOND TO THIS, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!
Thank you,

I don't understand why in the hell you all are on here complaining. You live in a world where you think that just because you are the customer, you can have things your way. First of all,...wake the hell up! Target makes policies that the employees have to follow. The employees don't make the rules. And another thing...you people make me sick when you don't seem to know how much time you spend at a store. I am so sick and tired of hearing people lie and say things like, "I was there for and hour!", when in reality you were only there for twenty minutes. Americans seem to think that they can have watever the hell that they want when ever they want it, and Target customers are amoung the worst. You think that you really hurt the employees feelings when you say that you will "no longer shop there", or "go to your competitor?" PLEASE! How would you like it if I went to your place of work and yelled at you for things that you couldn't control and then tell you that I will shop with your competitor and that I am the customer and you have to do what I say? You would be pissed off, and you would think to yourself, "I hope you do leave!" Yet, here you all are like a bunch of morons who have nothing but time on your hands to complain about the stupidest shit in the world, meanwhile there is famin, crime, and children dying of cancer going on in the world. But, hey, why don't we just write a strongly worded letter on the internet to people who don't give a shit about how my life sucked in 2010 because I got shitty service. Blah Blah Blah, I don't get any respect,...whine whine and complain...I waited 2 whole hours,...bitch bitch bitch...They didn't have what I was looking for even though I saw it on the website...oh whoa is me...what ever shall I do with my meaningless life. What the hell ever happened to being greatful for the breath that you too a second ago? Being greatful that you get to live in a land that allows you to go to a store that sell things that are so meaningless and you get to go to that store and buy the dumb shit only to throw it away in a feew years? There are people in this world and who live in our country who will never get to enjoy these luxuries. You are all a bunch of uncaring, heartless, selfish bastards. Shame on you all!
ReplyDeleteyou must work for Target. Thanks for making it clear to those of us on the fence that Target hires the worst people to work there. I will not shop there again.
DeleteI am here too defend the employees.. all the people I worked with over the year with taget have shown me nothing but true grit and dedication in all our areas of work.. there always is a fue that slack but in majority all the employees are very adequate at doing there job.. they are left with the work of 2 or more people everyday and are exspected to finish no matter what so the team leads and lod don't look bad.. but if there is one thing I have said there that rings true to all emplyees..We need someone who'll work not sit in a office and tell life stories and laugh at guest that make a scene.. I can clearly say that target has a majority of great workers.. but the corprate hand is a shadow on oour back covering our way to a better life.. please anyone who works there don't give up on the guest.. give up on you so called coprate office who is looking out for you..

ReplyDeleteMy condolences to Sarah Yowler and the family of her boyfriend Matt McQuinn, both of who were Target employees. Matt shielded Sarah in the recent shootings in Aurora and lost his life. So sorry for such a tragedy to the families of both and a young couple who were enjoying life together. Heal soon Sarah and live a strong life. Matt gave you a gift, protection, so that you could go on to reach your potential. That kind of heroism expects nothing less. Your loving brother will hopefully see you through.
Very sorry to you all at this random, senseless moment in time.
I've spent my last dollar that will be spent at Target; why? Target's new policy attacking man-woman marriage and favoring illicit, immoral and disrespectful behavior.
DeleteMy company gives gift cards to their employees every year for Christmas. We have never used Target gift cards before so I thought this year I would contact them. I have called 2 different stores 6 times, emailed twice and went to the store and talked to the manager to his face. It has been 2 weeks and NO ONE has called or emailed me. I guess I will take my $15 thousand, yes I said $15 THOUSAND dollars and go somewhere else to buy gift cards. I guess Target is doing so well in this economy they dont need our money :(
ReplyDeleteI decided to print picture today at my local target. (kepp in mind "local" is still a 20 min drive). My mom and I ordered our pictures first thing before shopping and browsing. We gave them at least two hours to print the 150 pictures we ordered. When we went to get them (all were procesed under one hour photo) they were still printing but I did not know this. The pics were not together and ready to go. Even the employee that helped my mom and I order the prints told us it should be done in less than an hour. He was very helpful. But he was not around when we wanted to get out pics. We printed my wedding pictures and my mom had yet to have any printed becuase It took me a while to get them ready for her. I have been married 3 years and I barly have 50 printed for myself. I really wanted her to have some. So the female employee that tried to check us out did not even let us know they were not done yet. First, she rings it up full price which is 29 cents each, yet they are supposed to be on sale for 10 cents each. She did not want to re do it but there was no way i was going to pay 50 bucks for a measly 150 prints. I told her to please redo it and she did but didnt seem to want to. I noticed that there were less pics than I expected. I was tired and did not think anything of it. Plus we had already waited 2 hours and did not want to be there all evening. I had other places to go while in this town. My mom and I each also had a $5 off 50 prints coupon. So we paid about 5 bucks for 150 pictures. But we didnt even leave with 150 pictures! We only got 80 of them. and there were duplicates I did not even order! by the time I ralize all of this the store is closed for the evening. Now I will have to call at 8 am to see if they have the rest. I hope they did not throw them away or something. after all we did not get the pictures we paid for. And I know my mom has waited 3 years to get pics. So i may be driving back to target just to get them and I am NOT paying for the rest again. I already have a big list of to dos before by trucker husband comes home for the weekend. The only reasons I am even going to go back is because I really want my mom to have some pics and that we did pay for them. I just dont understand why they even call it one hour photo when they are never done within the hour. and there was no other orders before us. Your photo department needs to step up their game if they want to keep customers there. Even walmarts photo lab does better than this. and I HATE walmart.
ReplyDeletePlease contact me at cynthiapharris@yahoo.com
thanks.
MAYBE this will be a wake up call to improve the way things are done in the photo department.
info@target.com is NOT a working email address for Target's corporate office! :(
ReplyDeleteDO NOT WORK FOR TARGET! I suggest thinking about working for Target - run, don't walk away. During orientation, the company wants you to know that they are about respect. They talk a good game - they talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk. They also have a video about why they do not think they should be unionized. I say they absolutely need a union in order to file grievances against the managers that treat their staff poorly!
ReplyDeleteCan you please explain if there is any truth to the following disgusting accusation??
ReplyDeleteTarget Stores,,What A Surprise..!
Wasn't it last Christmas that Target refused to let the Salvation Army ring their bells in front of their stores?
Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote.
'Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud
sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our
spring recognition event.
We received the following reply
from the local TARGET management:
' Veterans do not meet our
area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action
groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education.'
So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and
veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria,
then something is really wrong at this TARGET store.
We were
not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just
a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.
As a follow-up, I, E-mailed the TARGET U.S.. Corporate
Headquarters and their response was the same...
That's their
national policy!!!
Then I looked into the company further..
They will not allow
the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots'at any of their
stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment, they would
not allow families of employees who were called up for
active duty to continue their insurance coverage while
they were on military service..
Then as I dig further,
TARGET
is a French-owned corporation.
Now, I'm thinking again..
If TARGET cannot support American (or Canadian) Veterans, then why should my family and I support their
stores by spending our hard earned American (or Canadian) dollars in their stores???
And,
have their profits sent to France .
Without the American (and Canadian)
Vets, where would France be today?
'They, most likely would be speaking German and trading in Deutsch Marks'

Today I went to my local Target to purchase items for my workplace gym.
ReplyDeleteI purchased 8 bottles of Carress Body Wash...each bottle had a $1 off coupon attached. When the cashier entered the coupons she received a message that I was using too many coupons. In order to use the coupons I had to get a refund on four bottles and repurchase them. Why?
DO NOT purchase from Target.com and use paypal to pay if you EVER plan to reuturn anything!!!! Target in turn keeps your money offering you a Targetgift card versus offering you a true refund of your money! They now have a disclaimer about it but when I purchased I'm certain it wasnt there! Not only did they offer me this obsurd return option but they additionally sent me a pair of shorts I didnt order in exchange for a wallent I did order but never received! I will never order from them online again! VERY unethical way of doing business...oh and I love the packing slip how it says "our promise to you"....guess that's their promise that they will take your money whether you like the product or not! Just shitty!
ReplyDeleteI encountered Target's "new" coupon policy today when I tried to purchase 14 boxes of Kelloggs' Nutrigrain bars w/7 Kelloggs coupons - $1 off for each two boxes. I was permitted to use only 4 coupons per the Target policy. I drive an extra 8 miles to shop at the Moreno Valley East Super Target for this item because it is one of the few stores that carry the cherry flavor. I have made similar purchases in the past using the same type of coupon. The store manger told me "it's corporate policy, we just have to enforce it." How does this fit into the "Expect more" part of the Target tagline? How does Target or Kelloggs benefit from this policy? I know as a longtime, loyal Target customer I do NOT benefit. Perhaps the new Super Walmart that just opened 2 miles from my home has a more rational coupon policy. I intend to find out.
ReplyDeleteSo happened today I encountered the same problem. She told me I could only use 1 coupon per purchase. For instance if I was buying 4 boxes of cereal and I happen to have 4 coupons she told me she can only take one because the coupon stated 1 coupon per purchase. I replied to the manager ... excuse me mam how many cereals am i PURCHASING she replied 4 I said so i can use 1 coupon for each purchase. She only let me walk out with one box as I wasn't about to pay retail for a box of cereal without getting my $1.00 off each box. I told her I think she has her terminology wrong on the coupons. I understand TARGET has there own coupon policy with 4 like coupons. Ok but atleast go with that policy allow me to buy 4 boxes. The manager insisted that one coupon per purchase meant I can only buy 1 ..... CRAZY ! Here are Examples of common coupon terms and their general meanings:
Delete•"One coupon per purchase": This means that shoppers can use one coupon per item, with the item considered to be the purchase. For example, if a shopper had 10 identical jars of spaghetti sauce and 10 grocery coupons for that spaghetti sauce, she could use all 10 coupons for her order, which is literally 10 purchases. She could not use 2 manufacturers coupons on the same item if she was only buying one jar of spaghetti sauce because that would be more than "one coupon per purchase."
•"One coupon per order": This means that the shopper can only use that specific coupon once per order. If a shopper had more than one coupon, they could use one coupon per store visit, which would be one coupon per order.
•"One coupon per household": This is the most restrictive coupon term. Some coupons are so generous that stores will limit their liability by making sure shoppers do not make multiple trips to the store to use several coupons.
The most common coupon restriction is "one coupon per purchase," and when store personnel interpret this term as "one coupon per order" it can create frustration for honest coupon users. Therefore, familiarize yourself with these three restrictions so that you can calmly and politely explain what they each mean. Then you will easily be able to use multiple coupons when buying multiple identical items to save the most.
However, if you still encounter a store that refuses to accept more than one identical coupon per order, I would suggest that you write a polite letter or email to the store's corporate headquarters to express your concern about this policy. It may be changed!
was a manager yet !
Ive just read the email stating you refuse to support our troops in any why shape or form. well check this out TARGET! you will not ever receive another dime of my money ever! and hopefully with this email going around it will close your doors for good in a very short time with any luck at all. your site is filled with hate emails and it amazes me that your still in business. take you yellow belly scared to stand up for the ones who fight for your freedom to practice in this country and SHOVE IT UP YOUR XX

Regarding: Maternity Clothes Marketing.
ReplyDeleteDear Target Marketing Department - - You have very cute maternity clothes. Please consider retagging items and marketing them to NOT pregnant girls.
I am a high school teacher. Many (female) students have a bit of a tummy. Some have quite a lot of tummy. It is very hard for them to find cute clothing that is dress code compliant and complimentary to their youth. I cannot suggest to a student or parent that she shop in the Target maternity clothes section. But, from what I'm told, the girls would feel less self-conscious wearing clothing that covers the tummy and looks
stylish.
Sincerely,
C. Gorenberg
Target you are awful! I am 8.5 months pregnant and received a gift at a surprise baby shower. The gift happens to be the Snugamonkey swing. I was not given a gift receipt but all I wanted to do was EXCHANGE this Snugamonkey swing for the Snugabunny swing. I was told that basically I am SOL. I spoke to a customer service rep, store supervisor, customer relations person and a customer relations supervisor. They all said the same thing.."rules are rules and there is nothing we can do." This gift has not been opened and has a shipping label on it...That to me is proof that someone bought it. Of course I got more and more upset every time I spoke to someone who wasn't willing to bend the rules in the name of good customer service...I eventually started crying. I just think it's awful and sad that Target couldn't even work with me on an exchange. I will never again shop at Target again and I will tell everyone I know how Target has become a stuck up snob of a company who forgets that the only reason they make money is cause of us consumers who put money into their stores. So Target, be selfish and asinine. Now that you are making me ASK for the receipt from the person who bought it, I will have you refund this persons credit card and you will lose $200 because I will NOT be buying the swing I want from you. Walmart can have my money since they appreciate their customers.
ReplyDeleteI love Target! Most of you are complaining about a single not-up-to-your-standards interaction with a crappy employee who does not represent the entire company. Go to another Target. Let me tell you about a time that a Target customer service rep went above and beyond to satisfy my husband and I. We registered at Target for our wedding, and as a gift, we received the very nice 5-piece dining set from our registry. After putting the table and 3 of the stools together, we get to the 4th stool and it's broken. I was already upset at the thought of having to take everything apart just to go in to exchange it, so I decided to leave it together and take just the broken stool and the shipping confirmation paper that came with it. The store didn't have the dining set, but had individual stools just like the ones in our set. So the girl returned the stool into the system and damaged it out and gave us one of the stools that was sold separately. Problem solved, happy customer.
ReplyDeleteMoral of the story is, sometimes, no matter where you go, retail employees are assholes. You know why? Because retail sucks and those of us who work it have to put up with a lot of crappy people alllllll day. So don't let one bad experience keep you from going where you like to shop, especially when it's a really stupid reason. Just move on. Don't blame the company, blame the employee; either go to someone else who can help you, or go to another location.
My name I s William R I live in the city of Mayfield Ky and I wouls like to ask you to put a target store in Mayfield Ky in or around the Mayfield shopping plaza. I live and work here and I love target the sad thing is that there is not one close by. I understand that you put them in only cities with a certain amount of people and Mayfile dwould be to small with 22 thousand people but we are in the center of everything in that you have murray a college town with at least 50 thousand people and Paducah Ky with at least 100 thousand people. and a junior college there. mayfield has a small bible college. You have other towns close by with anywere between 10 to 30 thousand which are the communities of Fulton Ky and Union City Tn plus Martin. If you were to put a store in Paducah ky you would not draw from these other towns becuase many would not want to drive that far. It is important to note that we would be within 30 -45 mins for all of those locations since we are in the center of them geographiclly. Plus you would draw more people in terms of raw numbers. We have a great workforce and many who arwe college educated. It is a great family atmosphere here as well, We have a local air port and many resturants along with a movie theater outlet here. The crime is low and the people are friendly. Please contact mayor Theresa Cantrell at the city police non emrgency number 270-247-1621 or 247-1981. Or contact Judge Tony Smith or sherriff Dewayne Redmon at our county court house.. We have tax incentives that could still be involved in moving here and you will make alot of money with Wal mart being your only competition. My e mail is wrrrirnr@netzero.net if you need me if not I can not wait intil you move here. Thank you for considering my home town, GOD BLESS YOU! William Mayfield Ky
ReplyDeleteTArget has a Pharmacy rewards program, this is a true ripoff. My script are about $150.00 a month and then after you get 5 Rx filled Target will send a 5% off card big fucking deal 5% of nothing is nothing.
ReplyDeleteOur family has been trying to decide if we want to exchange any Christmas presents at all this year (2012). One by one, as the retailers get greedier and greedier, by opening their stores earlier and earlier on Thankgiving Day, we decided to not exchange any Christmas presents at all this year. We are spending the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) with our family as the holidays are intended. This is our small and silent protest. Peace and Love :)
ReplyDeleteI understand that corporations like yourself need to make money, but to open on Thanksgiving Day? Really? Maybe I'm going to the be the shopper who misses out on some great deals, but nothing would drag me to your store or the others that will be open on one of three days a year that my family gets to spend time together b/c we are spread apart.
ReplyDeleteSaddened that you've joined the WalMart bandwagon.
My daughter and I stopped into the Target in Cheektowaga, NY, today. It was my first time. She was looking for sales baby clothing. She is a single mom with two small children. She is also using EBT/Food stamps to pay for her allowed food purchases, she has also indicated that in the past she has had difficulty using her EBT card here. It more often than not, doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI took her food list and retrieved her required groceries. Since I am not at all familiar with Target, the fruit /vegetable prices looked reasonable...99cents for tomatoes and 24 cents for bananas. I assumed these to be per pound since this is the pretty much everyday price at the market that I regularly use.
At check out we had an issue and had I had any smarts I would have told the clerk to take back the food items and shove it in your stockroom. EBT card would not go through..."lines" were down.
Fine. I bought the food and looked at the receipt in the parking lot with the intent of contacting Target about their lack of attention to those who need food for life sustainability. I then noticed thatn those prices for aforementioned fruits/vegetable were per piece and not per pound. AND I WAS CHARGED FOR MORE EFFING BANANAS THAN I PICKED OUT!!!
This place/location/store in general is crap!! Also there is no way to contact corporate to complain.
Off to BBB for me and anyone who wishes to listen.
My name is David Lopez and I recently was planning on buying a VIZIO 60" Class 1080p 120Hz Smart Razor LED HDTV for $999. I called the local target store here in Jacksonville, FL near Regency Mall. I was transferred to electronics and spoke with a lady there that told me the exact same item was on clearence for $638. I said great and Im going to get it and if she can hold it till I get there because that price was unbeatable, she said no because the item is on clearence and there is only 2 left which 1 is on display. So I left work then rushed to the bank and got the money. When I got to the store and the same exact lady I talked to over the phone rang it up, it was the price online and she said sorry she was wrong. I asked "aren't you suppose to honor your price you told me" and she said "Sorry I don't want to lose my job, I cant" I was pretty upset about it. She said the sale ends tomorrow on 11/17/2012 so I felt I wouldnt be able to get the tv again so i just bought it. I called corporate at 800-440-0680 and filed a complaint. They told me to call the store and tell them that it is there policy to honor the price I was told. I spoke with a manager James and he said to come in to the store and he'll see what he can do. Well I left on my lunch to go handle this and when I got there he said he had to get authorization from customer relations. He called them and then let another employee at his store Ida speak with them and the customer relations said that the store manager had to authorize it. They said they will "text" the store manager Connie and see what she says because she is not in. Well they all went into the back office and came back almost 30min later and said the store manager said no and there is nothing they can do. They told me to file a complaint. Now I called corporate back when I got back to work and they told me to call them and let them know a complaint was filed because of this and they need to honor the price. I just got off the phone with the manager James and he told me to come back and he will take care of it if corporate said to do it. So now Im leaving work for the 3rd time today to get this handled. Hopefully they do what there policy says. Its only right!
ReplyDeleteWhen I watch a Target Black Friday televison ad, why must I hear a male actor say "Can we invite Trevor? He is hot!" Why does Target need to try to inject lifestyles into their TV ads? I need product information, prices etc.... I don't need Target's lifestyle message! What is Target trying to sell anyway? Sorry but I won't set foot in a Target going forward.
ReplyDeleteI agree and do the songs honoring the birth of Christ need to be defiled as well?

My name is Mindy and I applied for a cashier position through Target's website because the signs at the local store in Council Bluffs, IA said you were hiring. I applied for one of them, called back about a week later, and then your service center girls just told me that they had filled all of their cashier positions. I also talked with the hiring manager and she said the same thing. If that's the case, TAKE THE DAMNED SIGNS DOWN!!!! You're deceiving people like myself who are looking for employment--especially when I have 3+ years of being a cashier and a very strong work ethic!!! I'm young and need a job, and your advertisement is false. You've lost a lot of my business thanks to your false advertisements.
ReplyDeleteI AM SO OUTRAGED AT HOW TARGET HAS TAKEN - SONGS THAT HONOR THE BIRTH OF CHRIST AND TURNED THEM INTO TO ADS FOR BLACK FRIDAY...I WILL SHOP ANYWHERE BUT TARGET AND I'LL BE SURE TO REMEMBER THESE LONG AFTER BLACK FRIDAY AND ANY OTHER HOLIDAY.
ReplyDeleteDear Target,
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to the target lady who did the commercials for black friday, etc. The new commercial quite frankly is horrible and very boring. Not creative at all. Please bring her back. I do not shop very often on black friday, but this new commercial definitely does not invite me to want to come and shop in your store for the special event. Please bring her back! Those commercials were a delight to watch and made a lot us laugh. So creative. Get rid of the new commercial and bring back the old.
I think it is ashame that target is opening onThanksgiving...it's wrong for the employees and their families... and it's just wrong.....I will not shop on Thanksgiving day, that is a day for FAMILY,NOT WORK....and I will not be shopping Target at all this Christmas season because of this. Anita
ReplyDeleteITA on current Target Christmas TV commerical - A screeching woman singing like Roseanne Barr and the guy - can't even go there to describe him - I rush for the mute button everytime I hear the first note of music for the ad - whomever approved that ad must have drank their lunch and should be demoted to ground level forth with - I will go out of my way not to do holiday shopping when ad money is spent on such sophomoric and annoying drivel - You must be vying for the "Worst Commercial of the Year" Award -
ReplyDeleteI had Pre-Ordered a 32 GB Wii U System at Target store located at 100 Parsonage Rd Edison, New Jersey 08837 on 10/26/2012. I had paid the $5.00 needed for it and got the Pre-reserved card. The Wii U was released on 11/18/2012 and I had 7 days to pick it up. I went to the store on 11/21/2012 and was informed that they had run out of the Wii U Systems. The Manager in the store that day was Francisca and she was very rude and tried to make excuses to shift the blame on me for not picking it up on release day as it was in high demand, wanted to see the receipt for the pre-order etc. When I asked her to see if she could check with other stores to see if they had in stock and ask them to ship it to me, she said she will not be able to do that. Even though it was no fault of mine, I had to spend 2 hours trying to convince her to do something as it was going to be a big disappointment to my kids who I had promised to get them the Wii U on that day, so that they could play with it during the Thanksgiving Vacation. Finally after I said I will drive to any store which is near by, she called a couple of stores but none had them. She took my phone number and said she will call me back, but I did not hear from her.
ReplyDeleteThen I called Corporate office and talking to Cathy who was of little help. She said we will investigate if you have the receipt of the Pre-order payment. She was not willing to take the Reference # on the card, by which you could tell which store has sold that card. I told her that no where is it written that you need to carry your receipt with you. She cared a hoot and gave me a Ref # 3-849-254584 and told to call back if I found the receipt of purchase of the Pre-reserved card. I did not make sense that even after I have the Pre-order Reservation Card I was being given a tough time. The attitude of both the employees was not at all apologetic - they had made a mess of the Pre-orders and they cared little of the disappointment and suffering I had been put to.
With a staff who treats its customers like this – I WILL STOP SHOPPING AT TARGET IN FUTURE.
Well... There are 114 posted comments and maybe 3 of them are positive (and those defend the employes rather than Target policy). I guess I should have read this BEFORE I ordered anything online from Target, as I too just had a very unpleasant experience. My issue is not with the employees - they were all pretty polite to me. I take issue with the Target policies and operational system. Target sucks and I will never shop there again either. I guess I'm just one more dissatisfied customer that the Target Corporation couldn't give a hoot about.
ReplyDeleteFace it, we're just a faclesless number to these corporate stores. The only ones who get anything are the ones making the mega bucks, a pat on their backs and a nice bonus check due to us peeons who make them look good.

Target store located in Medford Ny Has the RUDEST staff around.. and when you ask to speak to a manager he too is rude and can care less and lets you know pretty much he doesn't care.. This staff needs to learn customer service and how to talk to people cause after all us as shoppers pays there salary...... I will take my business elsewhere from now on since TARGET doesn't care... and i will make sure as many people as i can tell know how thwy treat customers.

Bad experience shopping online with Target. Ordered a video game on December 8th, received confirmation, with tracking, it was shipped December 10th. Additional item ordered at the same time arrived on December 14th. Tracking for the video game has no infromation, and UPS Mail Innovations told me that the tracking number is created with the invoice is put in, but until the item arrives at UPS from Target, it doesn't get scanned in and activated for tracking. Once they DO receive it, they forward it to the local post office who delivers it out to the customer. As of December 17th, no tracking information, and UPS says they never received it to scan in. Target says that the delivery date is December 18th and won't do anything until the delivery date has passed. WTH? Obviously, if UPS never received it and no tracking info is available, it won't arrive to me in a day. Fast forward....call back on December 18th to report item as missing (mind you, I have been charged for the item because it is marked as "shipped"). Now they are telling me that I must wait 3 business days from the last possible delivery date (December 18th) to actually file a claim that the item was not delivered. Again, there is STILL NO tracking info whatsoever on this item. So, 3 days from now when I report it, I am told that a refund will be issued, and it might be on the same business day, but it might take a couple of days, depending on my bank. Again, WTH? I paid with a Target card, so my bank has nothing to do with it, and they have now been playing with my $$ for 13 days and I still have no video game. Additionally, I got the same issue as another poster, in that if I go to the store to purchase (because of their screw up) they will not honor the internet price. WTH? Now I also have to spend extra $$ in gas to go to the store to buy the item for $4 more than what I paid online? Target.com employees tell you that you are speaking to the most high ranking person there, but they cannot help you at all. They will provide you NO info to contact corporate, they direct you to the website. I won't be shopping there again - Wal-Mart's off the list too.

ReplyDeleteCHRISTMAS MUSIC TAKEN OUT FROM TARGET FOR 2 TO 3 YRS, ALREADY
(TARGET STORE IN WALDORF, MARYLAND - CHARLES COUNTY)
AT FIRST YOU DON'T NOTICE BUT IF YOU REMAIN IN THE STORE FOR A WHILE, IT WILL SOON NOTICE. SUDDENLY YOU FEEL THE SADNESS AND LIKE A FEELIG THAT SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL HAD DIED A SAD. LIKE THE SAME FEELING WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAD SINNED AND ABANDONED GOD. YOU NO LONGER HAVE CHRIST PRESENT AND YOU FEEL THAT DEEP FEELING OF SADNESS THAT REMAINS AS YOU CONTINUE SHOPPING IN THE STORE.
I ASKED A STAFF WORKING THERE WHY NO CHRISTMAS MUSICE AND SHE SAID, SADLY, THE MANAGEMENT SAID THERE WAS A COMPLAIN. SHE SAID I FEEL SAD MYSELF. LIKE THE SAME FEELING WHEN THEY TOOK PRAYER OUT OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOL AND SHE WAS RIGHT.
WOW! HOW CAN TARGET ALLOW JUST SOMONE TO TAKE AWAY FROM EVERYONE ELSE THAT SPECIALL FEELIN OF THE SEASON? WHO MADE THIS DECISION IN TARGE AND WHO COMPLAINED? CAN IT BE ONE FROM WITHIN THE STORE WITH A POSITION OR SOMEONE VERY INFLUENCIAL AS FOR SUCH A DRAMATIC CHANGE LIKE THIS TO BE MADE? A TRADITION FROM LONG AGO? WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR DECISION MAKERS WHO WATCH OUT OF THE OVERALL GOOD OF THE PEOPLE LIKE IN THIS CASE, THE JOYOUS FEELING WE THE SHOPPERS LOOK FORWARD DURINGT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. IT IS A SHAME WHO REALLY MADE THAT FINAL DECISION. GIVING TARGE THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT STILL BUT THE MESSAGE THAT WE FEEL LIKE
THE STORE IS SAYING TO US AS WE GO AROUND THE STORE-- YES, WE WANT YOUR BUSINESS BUT WE ARE NOT CELEBRATING THIS SPECIAL OCCASSION WITH YOU.
I hope someone from the corportate office will receiving enlightenment from this message as to make a change.
MAY JESUS CHRIST, OUR REASON FOR CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS, REMAIN IN THE HEARTS OF MEN EVERYWHERE NOW UNTIL THE END OF TIME!!!
Hate the new Christmas commercials! Bring back the crazy blonde lady [Maria Bamford]. No one will tire of her, trust me!
ReplyDeletetarget is an absolute joke!!! my wife has been working for target for about 2 years and has worked her way up to being in an assistant manager so to speak in a store in melbourne florida. when she got her promotion to this position she made it clear to the district that she wanted that she wanted to be transfered to orlando were we had bough a house, instead they make her commute 60+ miles each way.. realy how hard is a transfer? its crap!! now the store manager who is a very immature 28 year old is running the store like the friendship connection instead of a buisness and is in the process of terminating her for no legitimate reason.... reaching for reasons!! now our livelihood is in jeopardy because this lil girl has a chip on her shoulder. it dosnt matter that my wife has the highest #s in the region and the district manager dosnt seem to care at all. taget dosnt care about there employees or there customers at all and the employees that work hard and try there best dont get any recognition.. there company is totaly based on kissing ass, rubbing elbows with the right people and politics. has absolutely nothing to do with performance.. they are a huge corporation and have lil care for the lil guy... dont waste ur money or time going there. they preach a lie. they say there all about family, i say bullshit. shop at wallmart, the prices are cheaper,we already know there employees dont care and there business motto is make as much as u can from other peoples hard work and pay them as little as possible.. at least there not lieing to people... in conclution target is a joke and its up to us to stop shopping there to bring them down....
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel, I also have been "talken to" because I have a child and no responsible baby-sitter for nights.
DeleteJust looking to see why there are so many comments from
ReplyDeleteANONYMOUS. Now I see that it is just one of the choices
when submitting a post.
I wonder if anyone in Target management reads these
comments. We have a good store here in Richardson TX.
I, however, don't know how they treat the workers when
we are not looking. I think that they work hard for
their pay.
I bought a baby gift listed on the recipients gift registry last night at the Target store in Redwood City, California. I asked them if they were sure if the gift was now listed as "purchased" on the registry. They said "yes, definitely". But when I looked on my computer the next morning, it was listed as "still needed". So, I made another to trip to Target in Redwood City and went to the customer service desk marked as "registries". However, I must have been invisible since I was the ONLY customer there and three employees talking among themselves couldn't even acknowledge that I was there. I probably waited 10 minutes as they continued to chat and ignore me. I even tried interupting a few times but I was still ignored. I finally just walked out (more like stormed out)and went to another Target (Mountain View, CA)and was immediately helped.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the employees as well as the management at the Redwood City, CA Target store need some training in Customer Service since they have NONE!!!!
I am writing because the Target here in Trinity Florida is not a bad store, the management team especially the so-called ETLs allow drug use amongst themselves but when it comes to ordinary team members they would lose their jobs in a heart beat. I had an encounter with an etl named Tonya at the trinity Florida Target and she was the meanest most uncaring person i have ever met. If you looked at her eyes you can tell she was wasted on pain killers or something to that effect. I mention her name to a few team members and they all said she was into pain pills but wasnt sure if she was still doing them. All i know there was or is no excuse to the way she treated me and she should be with the walmart management, she would fit right in... I am done with target and their management
ReplyDeleteI have been working at Target for 5 years, I started at 35-40 hours per week. Now, to save for their big bonuses, (which ETL's openly brag about) I along with others are getting 12, 6, even 4 hours PER WEEK! Devoted all my "family time" to getting "extra shifts" and get only 6 cent raises every year. Help out with other departments including operator/fitting room, hardlines, softlines, cashier, salesplanners, price accurracy ad setup/takedown, new pfresh areas, and some guest services. And get no recognition for the effort I put in my work. Partner works nights, so I put in availability to work everyday, and not close and I got denied because it wasn't "fair" to have others close everynight. When certain "favorited" employees got everyother day off, make their own schedules, and basically abuse their "positions" throughout the store. I am not bitter, I have a job and I am grateful for that. Just giving a little insight into the wonderful world of Target. Hopefully not all stores and ETL's are like mine....
ReplyDeleteI work at T0732 in IL. Cicero.. Since I've been there for two years working my butt off every damn day I feel like not once was I recognized. And now that I've wanted to go into AP I don't even get acknowledged. Some other team member was asked if she wanted the position.... I've worked hard and helped AP with apprehensions because I want that job. And not once was I concidered for the job. Also, our leadership (teamleads) aren't doing they're job correctly. Having favorites and picking on team members who are doing they're job while others slack off. Please help our store change! I'm sick of feeling like I'm being pushed around! I have no say at this store. I feel like they (the team leads) think I'm stupid. -A
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the Target Corporate email??
ReplyDeletewent to target to buy 3 items.
ReplyDeletewent to the express lane that was open. There was one one customer at the register. Did not notice until the cashier kept ringing up item that the customer had more than 10 items - she had 33 at my count. Figured that I would stay because it looked like they were near the end. Then the customer took out a wad of coupons that had to be scanned. Half of them did not register, so each time the customer went through her cart to 'make sure' that the register was correct in refusing her coupon. Spent 12 minutes waiting. when i got to the register, the first thing I asked the clerk to do was to call the store manager. after asking for the manager 3 times and paying for my 3 items, i was told i would have to go to customer service. not happy with that. glad there was no line when i got to customer service.
if i were not buying medicine for a sick family member, i would have left the items at the register while the clerk was going through the other customer's coupons.
4 registers marked express and only one was open.
this was at the jacksonville (fl) west store in oakleaf town center. I will do my best to avoid any target.
A couple of months back I bought 4 gaming cards for my son. (Moshi Monsters). Because his membership wasn't up we waited to use the cards. Today when my son tried to use them they had never been activated. When we bought the cards I asked the young female clerk if they had been activated and she said yes, once they are scanned they are activated. Well guess she was wrong and I am not only out the 23.80 I paid I will now have to spend it again to get his membership renewed. I unfortunately cannot find the receipt so I cannot go back to the store to see if I can get them activated. I made 2 mistakes, 1) not trying the cards earlier and 2) losing the receipt. Beware of target and gift card activation. Reading reviews I have seen this happen to many people.
ReplyDeleteTarget does not stand by their promises. I purchased a cell phone last November which included a Target $50 gift card in 4-6 weeks... never received.
ReplyDeleteTarget contracts with "TargetMobile" a fulfillment company for the cell phone and Gift Cards... TargetMobile is the problem, and yet all I can get from Target is to call TargetMobile. They apologize, and promise callbacks, but never do... I get emails from Target about my complaint, and all they do is tell me to contact TargetMobile.
If Target hires incompetent fulfillment contractors... not my problem as a customer, Target owes me the $50.
Don't Trust Target...
Target Headquarters:
ReplyDeleteMy name is Josh Harstad and today I called the target pharmacy in Mankato Minnesota at 2:30pm to refill a prescription for albuterol for my nebulizer as I have severe asthma. The pharmacy member I talked to said it would be ready by 4pm and when I went in at 6:30pm to pick up my prescription I was told that the pharmacy was out of the medication and that it would not be ready until 2pm the next day. I have been using target pharmacy for over 15 years and have never had this happen, if they are out of the medication the pharmacy has always called me and told me that they WILL call another pharmacy and have it sent over so that it can be filled. Because of this I had to end up going to the mankato hospital to have them fill the same prescription and have the total cost INCREASED by $90.00 for hospital fees. This has been an appalling experience for me that has led me to believe your employees have no concern for others and their well being. Having severe asthma this could have gotten much worse and I could have even been hospitalized. The shear fact that your pharmacy employees had 4 hours to have it figured out and did nothing is beyond me in many ways and even shocked the hospital employees that I explained this to. This has brought me to the assumption that your company has no concern for your customers or their well being and as a result I WILL NEVER be using your company's services, in any way for any reason, ever again and you can be sure that I will be passing this information on to as many people as I can to inform them of your true nature. I am truly appalled and disgusted.
Josh Harstad
Last week I applied at Target at Whitehall...E. Broad St. Columbus Ohio location. I was told I could interview and work on the floor even though I'm partially in a wheelchair. I've been doing retail since last November and CAN do it. The first interviewer said I was perfect for the job but the second said (overheard) I couldn't apply as I was in a chair. I told him the store manager said I could do the job and she was not happy to have to interview me and said I failed the interview because I didn't answer questions as she expected. I'm a college graduate and am professional and am sure I did well on the interview. The store manager said she would call me after reviewing the interview documentation but failed. This is discriminatory and I am writing to Corporate as well as saying so here. This is illegal! I HEARD her saying 'tell her I'll hold her application for a cashiers position'. Why when I now do retail and CAN do the job? She didn't even LOOK at me or talk to me and was refusing the interview til I told her the store manager said I could interview. This is a new store manager. She is off to a bad start!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how to contact the boss at the corporate office. I have a complaint about transactions on my credit card that never took place. My local store will not help me, when I swiped my card it charged me for a different amount, like $300.00 to much!
ReplyDeleteI am disgusted with the Irvine, California store that employs people who speak no English. A person had me running all over the store as he didn't not know what a tablecloth is. I complained to the manager who said, "Yes, we hire people who don't speak English but we usually keep them in the back". I don't understand how these people can fill in a job application and get hired. My daughter, an American citizen cannot get a job because she doesn't speak Spanish. I am an immigrant myself, came to US through legal channels and had to adjust. I don't grudge people coming here; I am upset that I go to the store and NO ONE will speak to me because I am not Mexican. Target, you're toast.
ReplyDeleteI will never shop at Target EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! My husband bought me a Tom Tom GPS system for Christmas. When I tried to use it, it would not work. I called Tom Tom and spent 2 hours on the phone with them trouble-shooting etc. They said take it back to Target to exchange it is defective. Took it back to Target with the RECEIPT AND THE 2 YEAR SERVICE PROTECTION PLAN. They would NOT exchange it and told me to call an 800# on my service protection plan-called them while standing in Target. They told me since the GPS was only a couple months old they could not help me and to call TOM TOM. Yes you heard me right the 2 year service protection plan that we bought from Target would not help me. So I called TOM TOM and they said I have to ship it back to them--at MY OWN expense and they will send me another one in 30-60 days. The store manager got involved at this point and said Target could not help me and told me to "have a nice day". This is beyond unacceptable and will NEVER shop at Target EVER AGAIN will stick to buying my electronics at Walmart.
ReplyDeleteI live in cloquet mn the only store in 20 miles is walmart if target would open a store in cloquet thay would have all kinds of customers. Lets face it. It wodent take mutch to beet out walmart. please come to cloquet ,barnum, moose lake, sturgenlake mn just to name a few town in area there lots more.
ReplyDeleteI resigned from in Target 2013, and have not received my last paychecks that were to be mailed. Why is this happening?
ReplyDeleteIs there any couponers in here?
ReplyDeleteI reside in Sacramento, CA. Well let me tell ya about my experience. I started to coupon for about 6 months now & I was inform to ALWAYS carry my Target coupon policy with me. Well several times I had been denied using my coupons at Target. Not because I did anything wrong or use too many coupons. Several times the managers were called by the cashier not knowing if they can ACCEPT my coupons (Smart Source, Red Plum or P&G) which they can & I was denied. I did not argue but state my rights as a couponer & pulled out my policy & the manager clearly said I dont care about the coupon policy, IF I say no then no you can not use it. HOW F*CKEN RUDE?
I am writing this in hopes of resolution. I was 1 day late on a recent payment, and paid it in full as soon as I realized it. I have always paid my balances in full each time there is a balance.
ReplyDeleteDue to being late, I was nailed a 25.00 late fee. I tried to dispute it via emails, phone calls and letters. Then during the dispute, and since I didn't pay the fee, I was again nailed with another late fee and finance charges.
Finally I was told they would only be able to remove the initial late fee, and the new fee was due by 5-10-13, which was paid already.
Since all this began I have now lost my job, due to our wonderful economy, and my son who is in the Military has been deployed....and now I am being charged yet another late fee.....
Total fees assessed 75.00 of this 25 removed.
I just don't get it, yes, I was late and took care of it immediately, tried to work with them, but they refuse.
I have been late on maybe 2 other credit cards in my life, addressed it with the company and they were very obliging. But not TARGET...
Shame on you Target, why don't you work with longtime good customers?
My credit score is off the wall EXCELLENT....
They have terrible methods of communicating back to the customer.
I know have to decide where to put my money...gas in a car searching for work, food on the table, a place to live money....and now worrying about them nailing me for a new late fee each month\????\
Come on Corporate Target...Help me here, I have a child helping EVERYONE, by defending and fighting for your FREEDOM...
Than you.
