    4. I took a 3 month membership and set my cancellation date for 3/19/14 which was acknowledged by Match at that time. Match choose to renew my membership for 3 more months without my consent and told me that I am not eligible for a refund. I asked what regulatory agency they where licensed by and I was told by the wizzard in customer service that he did not understand the question. I could just about understand him so maybe there is some validity to his answer. djmvb82645

    8. I saw an add on tv to sign up for match.com and recieve 14 days free trial. I signed up, few hours later I see they took out $113.00 out of my checking account. I called and cancelled the same day I subscribed for my free trial with no obligation. they refuse to credit me back, I called today Dec 3rd 2014, I was told the same thing I asked to speak to a supervisor, he told me that won't do anything for you they will tell you the same thing, I waited 22 minutes for a supervisor. the supervisor names Marlene if that in fact is her name told me it is because i got the 6 month plan. advertising does not express this at all. marlene, when I asked for her ID number she refused and told me she can't give it out. so I have no idea if this person was really a supervisor or a co worker of the first rep. I have my cancellation confirmation number showing I cancelled hours later on the same day. match.com has misrepresented themselves with false advertising. I am a reporter for a large paper based out of Phoenix Arizona. I am not done with Match.com or the false advertisment. My attorney will also be sending the corporate office a letter of intent to collect on a illegal withdrawal and no refund. It is time to have a Bill put in place that internet companies cannot conduct business false advertising.

    11. In Nov 2014 I had the auto renewal turned off. It was a 6 month subscription, that was to end in April 2015.
In Feb 2015, my Match account was locked. I could do nothing on my profile. I contacted Match. Match said my account had suspicious activity. I asked if it had been hacked and if my account information had been taken. Match would not say what happened to the account just 'suspicious activity'. I gave Match information to unlock my account. NOT RENEW IT. Auto renewal should have remained turned off.
My subscription should have been turned off in April 2015. I was SURPRISED to see my bank account had been debited another six months by Match. I called to complain and get my money back, but Match said I had renewed my account in Feb 2015. I tried to explain that I would not have renewed in Feb if the account wasn't going to expire until April. I told them that the only contact I had with Match in Feb was finding out and correcting the lock. NOT RENEWAL.
Now I have to go to my bank to get a credit on my account. I will also contact the BBB and Match corporate offices of IAC which owns several websites. I hope to put in a complaint with the New York attorney generals office as well. This corrupt activity has to be stopped.
I am disappointed that Match would be low enough to cause this much trouble for the consumer.

I SIGNED UP FOR TRIAL OFFER ONLY AND NEVER REALIZED THEY WERE CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE I IN THE PAST NEVER LOOKED AT MY STATEMENT BEFORE I PAID MY BILL. I NOTICED THEY CHARGED IT LAST MONTH AND I CALLED MY CREDI CARD AND THEY HAVE CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD 4 TIMES. TWICE A YEAR AND I NEVER EVEN USED THE SITE! I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HE REFUSED TO TRANSFER ME TO A SUPERVISOR OR GIVE ME CORPORATE OFFICE NUMBER!

I got engaged in September, I canceled and deactivated my account at that time. in october I got billed again and didn't see it. then in November they billed me again. this time I saw it and called they refuse to refund my money. they said my renewal was automatic even though I canceled. I asked for a refund and was refused. when I asked to speak to his supervisor he said he didn't have one, I asked for the corperate number and he said he didn't have a number for them only an email.. they are crooks and idiots.

    15. Match.com has horrendous customer service. It is terrible when THEIR computer system atomically renews your subscription EVEN WHEN YOU TRY TO DISCONTINUE ONE’S SUBSCRIPTION! There is no refund available OR partial credit. I could use every ugly word in the book and that still is NOT ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE THE SCAM THAT MATCH PUT YOU THROUGH!

  3. This site is absolutely the worst customer service site I have ever had the unfortunate experience with. First, I did cancel the acct. however, they kept my money,, saying I never got in touch with the, I thought cancelling an acct was good enough,, even though I did send them an email 5 days later when I didn't see it on my acct. They said I didn't,,the person or supervisor I spoke with was kevin,,telling me there is no way I can get in touch with their corporate office and everything has to go through him!!!

NO REFUNDS. THAT'S CORRECT - THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS ASAP!!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM...MY IDENTITY IS OUT THERE, MY PICTURES ARE OUT THERE. AND THEY DO NOT EVEN CARE ABOUT IT!! I WAS ONLY ASKING FOR A WEEK REFUND AND IT WAS DENIED! MY IDENTITY IS WORTH MORE THAN $19.95/MONTH.

  8. Try doing business with this group. They do not return calls, they will not transfer an inbound call to a supervisor, they won't give me, a potential customer, the name of an account executive to speak with. 10. Bad Business practice with the auto-renewal. I signed for one month and I thought I went in to my account to make sure it didn't charge me for more. Somehow it kept charging me and they said I didn't cancel. They won't give me a refund. There are no reminder emails or anything. They really should send that out to people. I am finished with them. I have used them in the past too but, the site just hasn't worked for me. Still looking!

  11. This is the worst site ever. Customer service is horrible. Six month guarantee fraud. Lots of posers. I cannot repeat enough customer service is the worst. Don't join match.com. 16. This was the worst thing I have ever signed up for... I accidentally selected the 6months plan for 119.94 (it only showed me 19.99 on the screen.) When I saw the fee hit my bank account (not even 24 hours later) I called right away to get it squared away. Then the customer service rep told me they could only refund me half. I still wanted the one month membership, but that was all and I was willing to pay for it, I just wanted refunded the other amount. They refused and told me that they could only refund me 68.98 out of the 119.94 I originally paid for, so I was basically paying 50.96 for a one month membership. I was livid! It was not even 24 hours later! I then connected to a supervisor and they would not help me either, so I opted for the 68.98 refund. I then called the corp office and was able to get the full refund and then pay 35.99 for one month. It took me a lot of time to finally have it taken care of, but eventually I did get it! I would say this is some of the poorest customer service reps by far! Thanks to the corp office though for the help! I would also cancel your membership right away so it does not renew monthly with out your knowledge!!!!!!

  17. I agree with the worst customer service. I have been a match.com member for over 15 years. I liked the website. I paid with auto pay. My credit card company had a security breach and issued me a new number. I did not know match.com was not getting paid. I never recieved an email from them altering me there was a problem with the account. They canceled by account. I just now discovered the problem ( 3-4 month later ). I NEVER canceled the account. They will not reinstate the account at the rate I was paying. Customer service for a long time PAYING customer was extremely poor. Everyone that has had a problem should post it everywhere, so no one uses their site. I hear eharmoney is better anyway.

  20. I signed up for 6 months and was supposed to get an additional 6 months free if I didn't meet someone, but just found out that because I paid with a money order that I was only entitled to 3 months thereby being "cheated" 3 months for the money I shelled out to meet NO ONE. There are so many problems I have encountered. You find someone and their profiles just disappear off the face of the earth, and the customer service is the worst. Terrible site, I will never endorse it or subscribe again if I have to be alone the rest of my life. Not to mention, 2 guys have already tried to extort money from me so beware.

  21. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY from Match.com. I lost a lot of money with them. Staffed it appears by a money grubbing workforce who seem to be more dedicated to screwing the last cent out of their customers than providing any sort of quality customer services. I can't say loudly enough that match, com should be the LAST place you chose to risk your money and credit card details. I certainly was bitten by their complex and difficult to understand codes of practice and terms of conditions and obscure website navigation structure. If you read this and still sign up, you have been warned. There are plenty of low cost (some even free) sites where you get as good if not better service for a whole lot less anguish (AND COST).

  22. I just signed up and to my horror learned that a man that has engaged in scary behavior at work toward me and others is a member that lives win 20 miles of me. They could not block him from seeing my profile and the thought of him seeing it scared me to the point that I was too worried to use their site. They refused to grant me a refund - was a member for less than three weeks out of six months. Asked for a supervisor to review the decision - no answer other than to suggest I file a police report, which made it real clear that they did not read what I wrote! I hope that all people ripped off in one form or another will file complaints. I have filed one with the Better Business Bureau out of Dallas Texas. An easy process that you can do on line.

  23. I've been having trouble getting anyone to give me answers. Everything seems like a cover up. Every guy I have been interested in he doesn't get my emails and all of a sudden his profile is gone. I get the message "oops the profile you are looking for is unavailable. They say it's security but what about that textmatch, if you subscribe you can talk, does your talking get blocked? And, the guys I am not interested in that are alleged scammers, their profiles are still there, hmmmmm why is that? It's like they dangle a carrot in front of a horse, just keep you going on and on so that you feel you have to resubscribe. And why are they renewing without people's approval? What about the "free" six months, is that just another gimmick to screw lonely people? I have tried to get some kind of answer that makes sense but no one is forthcoming and no one is willing to help. When I know that an email is NOT successfully on it's way how can they have that on their site? I don't believe for a second that EVERY guy that I have wanted to get to know is a sccammer. And, first, maybe they should screen people before they get on this site, but if you really do have to pay $5.99 for that textphone thing, that is false advertising, first you have to subscribe so that you can do more than just wink, now this other feather? They said no this isn't it, but then why aren't they deleted guys that I am not interested in just like the ones I am. If they are dishonest or it is a security issue, then they should be deleted too, but it seems like just the guys I would really have liked to have gotten to know.

  24. are there any regulatory agency's that someone could report match.com to? either to complain or try to get some kind of resolution from them after they do there usual rip-off of there customers? or just to start filing as many complaints until they are forced to pay attention to our problems with match.com's bad customer service and deceitful business practices.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Rip off, beware. Guys are scammers, guys you are interested in you get "oops the profile you are looking for is unavailable" and it seems like everything is to try and PREVENT you from connecting. Guys you are NOT interested in are there for eternity, go figure. They should be shut down, too much to say at 2:30am, but for those of you thinking you found a soldier, check the time of the email he sends to you, it probably is NOT Kandahar or Afghanistan time. Beware. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE - TELL EVERYONE NOT TO SUBSCRIBE. Some people wonder if some of these guys are "plants", and there is always something that seems fishy about this whole process. It's a gut feeling.

    1. Rather than posting complaints we should either start a blog or better yet, we should all unit and start a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT. This company strictly enforces payment rules as posted by others by auto renewing. What match.com does NOT enforce are the rules to protect willing innocent paying members. Example: profiles are reviewed/approved (BIG JOKE). Per match.com you are NOT permitted to post personal email addresses. Do you know how many profiles I have seen on match.com where not only is a gmail email address is posted within the profile but actually printed across the main profile pic? MANY! Which is why I stated that the review/approval process is a joke. All this site cares about is getting your money and posting as many bogus profiles as possible in order to suck in as many serious paying members as possible. LET'S START A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT! Who's in?

I have documents, emails, talked on the phone everyday, and put two and two together, now I see him back online, what a leech for more money. women be aware, and they are getting away with it. went to the police and rcmp, and wont touch these guys if you cannot physically arrest them.
