  1. The absolute WORST customer service.
WATCH OUT FOR AUTORENEWAL. Make sure you cancel your subscription after you sign up so you don't get stuck with a blind charge.
    NO REMINDER EMAILS.
NO EMAIL STATING THE RENEWAL DATE
NO EMAIL STATING THEY AUTORENEWED YOUR SUBSCRIPTION.
    NO REFUNDS

THEY HAVE NOT HEARD THE LAST OF ME.

  2. Totally agree. There is no grace period where you can cancel and get a full refund. If they get your money, they're not giving back one cent!

  3. This site is absolutely the worst customer service site I have ever had the unfortunate experience with. First, I did cancel the acct. however, they kept my money,, saying I never got in touch with the, I thought cancelling an acct was good enough,, even though I did send them an email 5 days later when I didn't see it on my acct. They said I didn't,,the person or supervisor I spoke with was kevin,,telling me there is no way I can get in touch with their corporate office and everything has to go through him!!!

  4. I had only one connection, for 7 days. The very first and only connection was a phishing expedition LIKE I WAS!

Daters BEWARE!!! THIS SERVICE HAS PHISHERS POSING AS THE GOOD GUYS IN THE PICTURES!! THEN, THEY TAKE YOUR PHOTOS AND YOU WILL BE USED AS THE NEXT PHISHING EXPEDITION!!

NO REFUNDS. THAT'S CORRECT - THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS ASAP!!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM...MY IDENTITY IS OUT THERE, MY PICTURES ARE OUT THERE. AND THEY DO NOT EVEN CARE ABOUT IT!! I WAS ONLY ASKING FOR A WEEK REFUND AND IT WAS DENIED! MY IDENTITY IS WORTH MORE THAN $19.95/MONTH.

THE IDIOT SUPERVISOR SAID: NO PROBLEM, WE TOOK HIM OFF...LIKE WHAT - I'M GOING TO TALK TO ANOTHER PERSON ON THAT SITE??? LIKE HELL I AM!!

TERRIBLE SITE - BEWARE AND BE FORE WARNED!!

  5. My brother had his match.com account terminated because I used my credit card to pay for his services. They said it was fraud. Never got an email, phone call, or anything prior to them terminating his account. They blocked my credit card and when I call customer service I get twenty different answers from 20 different people.

    There is no customer service....

  6. WATCH OUT FOR AUTO RENEW - I EVEN THOUGHT I TURNED MINE OFF!!!!!!!

I just want to cut and paste what anonymous said. I am VERY upset with the customer service.
NO GRACE PERIOD - I called immediately and they stuck me with 3 more months!!!!
    STUCK WITH A BLIND CHARGE
    NO EMAIL RENEWAL REMINDER
    NO EMAIL STATING YOU AUTO-RENEWED
    NO REFUNDS - NO SYMPATHY

  7. I agree the same thing just happened to me. I am stuck with $115.00 in charges because I thought my end date was later than it was. I was not even on match that much. THe 6 months free is a scam!!!!!!!! be.""DO NOT USE MATCH!!!!!!!! They are a rip off. No reminder emails. no email stating they auto renewed. No refund or proration of services.

  8. Try doing business with this group. They do not return calls, they will not transfer an inbound call to a supervisor, they won't give me, a potential customer, the name of an account executive to speak with. I'm all for automated business models, but when business comes to your door, ANSWER IT.

  9. AUTO RENEWAL IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH THEM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE TOO!!! THEY DON'T REFUND!! SAME STORY AS OTHERS! STILL HAVEN'T MEET ANY ONE EITHER! THEY DON'T GET ANYMORE OF MY BUSINESS!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Bad Business practice with the auto-renewal. I signed for one month and I thought I went in to my account to make sure it didn't charge me for more. Somehow it kept charging me and they said I didn't cancel. They won't give me a refund. There are no reminder emails or anything. They really should send that out to people. I am finished with them. I have used them in the past too but, the site just hasn't worked for me. Still looking!

  11. This is the worst site ever. Customer service is horrible. Six month guarantee fraud. Lots of posers. I cannot repeat enough customer service is the worst. Don't join match.com. Try some other site not match. If you try to email them all you get are auto generated emails, customer service says one thing and does another. Really bad.

  12. They unactivated me without telling me why. I have only been on the site for 12 hours. I signed up one day and literally the next day I was sent a legal document stating that I was taken off! There's been no explanation as to why. I have not done anything that would violate the terms of the agreement. I was supposed to have a date TODAY and now he can not get in touch with me. This is so wrong!!!

    1. This happened to me all the time. Every guy I was interested in was taken off the site and I would get that message "oops the profile you are looking for is unavailable" and told me they "hid" their profile (great for self esteem) and every guy I was NOT interested in have been there since God walked the earth. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS SITE

    2. This site deleted guys and they are so "concerned" for security, all their policies and procedures, what about this new thing they have where they have a place for Match.com customers to meet? How are they making sure of security then?

  13. The advert in the UK shows a man playing a banjo/guitar on the train station platform and meets a nice girl sitting down - just shows you not to waste your money going on the internet for crappy dating sites and get out there and meet someone.

  14. MATCH IS THE WORST COMPANY ON THE MARKET. THEY DELETED MY PROFILE, WOULDN'T LET ME RENEW WITH THE CONTENTS OF THE PROFILE, SAYING IT WAS "BLOCKED" ALTHOUGH I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE EMAILS FROM OTHER MEMBERS. THEY SAY I INITIATED A CHARGEBACK, WHICH I DIDN'T. IMAGINE THAT! NOW THEY WANT ME TO START A WHOLE NEW PROFILE, WITH A NEW USERNAME, PICTURES, ETC.... AFTER 3 YEARS?? YOU KNOW WHAT, GO F*&^% YOURSELVES

  15. I can't log in to resign. The website doesn't take my password. There is no phone number to call to talk to anyone. I think it's a tar-baby site, the kind where they sign you up and then keep charging your card.

  16. This was the worst thing I have ever signed up for... I accidentally selected the 6months plan for 119.94 (it only showed me 19.99 on the screen.) When I saw the fee hit my bank account (not even 24 hours later) I called right away to get it squared away. Then the customer service rep told me they could only refund me half. I still wanted the one month membership, but that was all and I was willing to pay for it, I just wanted refunded the other amount. They refused and told me that they could only refund me 68.98 out of the 119.94 I originally paid for, so I was basically paying 50.96 for a one month membership. I was livid! It was not even 24 hours later! I then connected to a supervisor and they would not help me either, so I opted for the 68.98 refund. I then called the corp office and was able to get the full refund and then pay 35.99 for one month. It took me a lot of time to finally have it taken care of, but eventually I did get it! I would say this is some of the poorest customer service reps by far! Thanks to the corp office though for the help! I would also cancel your membership right away so it does not renew monthly with out your knowledge!!!!!!

  17. I agree with the worst customer service. I have been a match.com member for over 15 years. I liked the website. I paid with auto pay. My credit card company had a security breach and issued me a new number. I did not know match.com was not getting paid. I never recieved an email from them altering me there was a problem with the account. They canceled by account. I just now discovered the problem ( 3-4 month later ). I NEVER canceled the account. They will not reinstate the account at the rate I was paying. Customer service for a long time PAYING customer was extremely poor. Everyone that has had a problem should post it everywhere, so no one uses their site. I hear eharmoney is better anyway.

  18. This is a scam website. If you are lucky enough to visit before you join. run run run. I have never been scammed so baddly.

  19. Same as ALL the above this site is very underhanded and they will charge you for automatic renewal fee with NO notice at all and WILL NOT give you your money back!!!!!!

  20. I signed up for 6 months and was supposed to get an additional 6 months free if I didn't meet someone, but just found out that because I paid with a money order that I was only entitled to 3 months thereby being "cheated" 3 months for the money I shelled out to meet NO ONE. There are so many problems I have encountered. You find someone and their profiles just disappear off the face of the earth, and the customer service is the worst. Terrible site, I will never endorse it or subscribe again if I have to be alone the rest of my life. Not to mention, 2 guys have already tried to extort money from me so beware.

  21. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY from Match.com. I lost a lot of money with them. Staffed it appears by a money grubbing workforce who seem to be more dedicated to screwing the last cent out of their customers than providing any sort of quality customer services. I can't say loudly enough that match, com should be the LAST place you chose to risk your money and credit card details. I certainly was bitten by their complex and difficult to understand codes of practice and terms of conditions and obscure website navigation structure. If you read this and still sign up, you have been warned. There are plenty of low cost (some even free) sites where you get as good if not better service for a whole lot less anguish (AND COST).

  22. I just signed up and to my horror learned that a man that has engaged in scary behavior at work toward me and others is a member that lives win 20 miles of me. They could not block him from seeing my profile and the thought of him seeing it scared me to the point that I was too worried to use their site. They refused to grant me a refund - was a member for less than three weeks out of six months. Asked for a supervisor to review the decision - no answer other than to suggest I file a police report, which made it real clear that they did not read what I wrote! I hope that all people ripped off in one form or another will file complaints. I have filed one with the Better Business Bureau out of Dallas Texas. An easy process that you can do on line.

  23. I've been having trouble getting anyone to give me answers. Everything seems like a cover up. Every guy I have been interested in he doesn't get my emails and all of a sudden his profile is gone. I get the message "oops the profile you are looking for is unavailable. They say it's security but what about that textmatch, if you subscribe you can talk, does your talking get blocked? And, the guys I am not interested in that are alleged scammers, their profiles are still there, hmmmmm why is that? It's like they dangle a carrot in front of a horse, just keep you going on and on so that you feel you have to resubscribe. And why are they renewing without people's approval? What about the "free" six months, is that just another gimmick to screw lonely people? I have tried to get some kind of answer that makes sense but no one is forthcoming and no one is willing to help. When I know that an email is NOT successfully on it's way how can they have that on their site? I don't believe for a second that EVERY guy that I have wanted to get to know is a sccammer. And, first, maybe they should screen people before they get on this site, but if you really do have to pay $5.99 for that textphone thing, that is false advertising, first you have to subscribe so that you can do more than just wink, now this other feather? They said no this isn't it, but then why aren't they deleted guys that I am not interested in just like the ones I am. If they are dishonest or it is a security issue, then they should be deleted too, but it seems like just the guys I would really have liked to have gotten to know.

  24. are there any regulatory agency's that someone could report match.com to? either to complain or try to get some kind of resolution from them after they do there usual rip-off of there customers? or just to start filing as many complaints until they are forced to pay attention to our problems with match.com's bad customer service and deceitful business practices.

  25. Rip off, beware. Guys are scammers, guys you are interested in you get "oops the profile you are looking for is unavailable" and it seems like everything is to try and PREVENT you from connecting. Guys you are NOT interested in are there for eternity, go figure. They should be shut down, too much to say at 2:30am, but for those of you thinking you found a soldier, check the time of the email he sends to you, it probably is NOT Kandahar or Afghanistan time. Beware. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE - TELL EVERYONE NOT TO SUBSCRIBE. Some people wonder if some of these guys are "plants", and there is always something that seems fishy about this whole process. It's a gut feeling.

  27. I met someone on here, and boy was he a smooth talker and a manipulater, said all the right things, soon enough I found out that he lied about where he lived, and he is somewhere in Europe, claims to be a widower, and has a single child. Has a business which is not true, and I was so nieve and taken for a ride, I am such a caring sucker, i even lost money, couple weeks later I seen him again on line with match.com and same pictures but different name, yes was my fault for sending money, but now he is doing this again to another women, they should screen they predators from scamming women on here. this is there full time job and is a laundrying scam, and match.com doesnt care at all about there security, there is no security. you can have 5 usernames, and different names, and use a prepaid visa by someone else. these guys are professional. I have documents, emails, talked on the phone everyday, and put two and two together, now I see him back online, what a leech for more money. women be aware, and they are getting away with it. went to the police and rcmp, and wont touch these guys if you cannot physically arrest them.

  28. BEWARE LOTS OF SCAMMERS ON THIS SITE!!!!!! WATCH FOR THESE 2
MAYBE WE SHOULD HIRE A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR SPLIT THE COST AND HUNT THEM DOWN!
s1baileyboy1561x (this one is still showing)
hgnmloiy (indicates this profile is unavailable)

WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT THESE COMMENTS BEFORE.....THEY ALL SEEM TO BE WIDOWERS, CHILD AND YES THEY ARE RIGHT BACK DOING IT AGAIN TO SOMEONE ELSE. WHEN PEOPLE ARE KIND AND VULNERABLE THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE....THEY MUST BE STOPPED!!!!!!
THERE IS NO EMAIL TO REPORT SCAMMERS THAT I COULD SEE IF THERE PROFILE STILL SHOWS YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF REPORTING, HOWEVER IF THE PROFILE IS UNAVAILABLRE YOU CANNOT REPORT THEM.

  31. I am horribly concerned about this match making program primarily because the same few women appeared on the "Match.com" available list for my area.

They were/are very attractive women and if the're still looking for a man, then this progam is not working!

  34. Anonymous: This is the biggest rip of site I have ever seen. Even if you cancel your subscription before it expires, they will come back and steal money out of your account anyway. Can anybody stop them? This is such a big scam!!!!

  35. My account was terminated without notice. I called and got cold response "yes your account was terminated but can't say why". They denied me the right to speak with another. I requested a refund and guy said they do not refund for violation of contract. I was only on for about 2 weeks. This sight needs a class action suit filed against them. They have over$100 of mine and not a dam thing I can do.
