    2. I let go of my verison account to get a straight talk...i have had nothing but a head ache since. I ativated my straight phone and bought the 45 card...unlimited acsess. My phone malfuntioned into my second month. I was unable to talk to anyone who could speak english .They told me my phone is defective and they would send me a new one.I gave them my name and address several times... the UPS man just becouse he new me brought the package to me...my name heather the package was addreses heffer and had the wrong address on it. I cant tell you how frustrating its been. now they want me to send in my old phone and wait lord knows how long...Befor sending the phone back i better clarify my name again and address...and wait another who knows how long!!!!!!!!!!!!.

    3. The 305 640 2000 is the corp ofc who was no help as well. I have filed a complaint with the BBB When you select the co. you first have to select Tracfone since that is the major co, then you can add ST. Hopefully if we all do this something can be resolved. They make too much money off us to not be able to handle our issues

    4. I just called the 305 640 2000 number and reached Miami. I told them that the people in the Phillappines were rude. Got my problem solved. As far as everyone gettin bad phones...I bought mine at Walmart and haven't had a problem with it and I have had it for over a year. All these cell phone companies rip you off somehow. I had a Verizon before and had nothing but problems from them and they even cut my phone off once because I owed them 50 cents. I had Alltell and had great service from them until Verizon bought them out, then I started having troubles with them. AT&T customers are having trouble with them. If someone finds a cell phone company thats any good please tell me who they are!!

    6. Bought a Android phone that works on the Sprint network. I do not get a signal at my home in Denver Colorado, it will not ring when someone calls. call Straight Talk with not help, they just gave me the finger and said sorry. Dont buy there phones, they are crap!!!!

    7. saving money isn't always good woth this company Had two phone go defective on me and after 15 days I was told cannot take to walmart to exchange but have to send my phone oin takes 2-3 days then they will release me another phone which takes 2-3 dats So you have no means of communcaation. This has got to be the worse handling of bussiness I have EVER encounted. So for an extra 20 bucks a month taking all three phones discounecting them and going to Verizon. I hope someone at corporate see this since you can't get a hold of anyone there. I will do EVERYTHING I CAN TO MESS up there sales just like they want to do to me by not having my phone

    9. I am horrified by your customer service. I have been a customer for years. I purchased a new phone July fourth of this year. Yesterday it froze up and would not work. I tried to take the battery out for 30 minutes then put it back in and it still didn't work. I tried charging it for thirty minutes even though it didn't need charging still didn't work. Then I unfortunately called your customer service. I spoke to three different people who gave me three different solutions none of which helped. Then the last one pretending she couldn't hear me and hung up. I used this phone for work and have since lost my job because my phone doesn't work. So I will tell everyone for now on how defective the products are and how defective your customer service is. The only solution was that I would have to wait 15 days to get a new one. My job is already lost now. This is tragic. The only thing that could have helped was being given a refund for a new phone that I would have had to borrow money from to go get to transfer service but sadly that was not an option losing my job was to your customer service reps.

    13. I am having the same problem with straight talk. I have been with the company for about a year and all of my phones were defective. I have had 7 phones in that last year. I ordered a phone 03/08/2013 and have not received it as of today 03/24/2013. I have spoken with manager after manager and nothing has been done. One manager explained they are not obligated to do nothing on my behalf. As of today I am out my money for my phone and the service plan I paid for with no hope in getting it back. I am currently on hold waiting for another manager. I have been holding for 2 1/2 hours and nothing so I am going to disconnect. I will call the corporate office, BBB and The States Attorney general.consumer.fraud division on Monday as this is ridiculous.

After several attempts to get a tracking number fron Straighttalk I was informrd by a rep that my phone was not in stock. when I was trasfered to what they said was someone in charge I was told that my phone was in stock and that someone will call me with a tracking number. I called the next day and there was no tracking number, and was told then that my order was ready for FedEx to pick up, well when anyone prints a FedEx label it automatically prints a tracking number on it. I think that the only straight talk from this company is their name. By the way the 877 number goes to the Phillipines.

  5. I tried to placed an order over 3 weeks ago, the guy that took my order messed it up and I didn't find out until 2 days later, they had to cncel my order and replace the order. I was on the phone for over 1 and a half each time. I finally receive my phone and try to activate it now I cant activate it because they say the phone they sent is defective I should of had a working phone over 2 weeks ago, this is ridiculous and there is no one to talk to in the US. Customer service is the worst and Im putting a complaint in with the better business bureau, not sure what good it does but going to try.

  7. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH STRAIGHTTALK. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO SEND A SIM CARD TO MY DAUGHTERS ACCOUNT AND THEY CUT MY PHONE OFF INSTEAD OF GETTING HER A NUMBER AND SIM CARD.     3. Yes, I just got off the phone with them. They fixed my problem in a matter of minunites after dealing with the "customer service" managers for 6 hours. I talked to a guy named Al. He told me he would have to call me back. 15 minunites later he called back to tell me that the problem was fixed and my money was deposited back into my account. Thanks Al :)

Every agent you deal with gives a different answer to the same question and yet nothing ever gets done...As soon as this plan is done with, assuming they ever credit it to a working number, I am done with Straight Talk. They should be called Shit Talk...

Everybody talks about :the process:......the process of getting a phone for one that does not work....I haye dealing with this company and I am contacting an attorney in Miami to handle the issue for me...I can't be without my cell phone for 2 weeks and I have the extended warranty.   12. From June 3 to June 10, I have talked to 12-16 representatives about my straighttalk telephone. They have sent me a total of 3 sim cards now(1st one was someone else card they sent me, the 2nd one was deactivated by a rep BEFORE it even reached me and the 3rd would not register at all. Now I have been waiting on another Sim card that was supposedly sent overnite and is is now the 3rd day. Those reps at straighttalk are full of shit and a bunch of bold face LIARS they need to employ people that ACTUAL know their job. I have lost $2600.00 dollars because of them and I have recorded all our conversations and took them to my lawyer and believe me they will pay restitution fees for this. It was their fault from the beginning to the end.

    Thank you all for posting your problems. I know now I am screwed. Three weeks without my phone. Talked to 23 agents, lied to by 23 agents, spoke to Monica in Corporate office. She was calling me back in 2 hours. Never got that call so I had to call customer service again Spent 2 hours on the phone. finally got the girl to agree to transfer me to Monica and she was not there any more. I spent a total of 12 hours on the phone and was told I would get my new phone over in one day. After reading your comments I do not feel confident will ever see my phone. I will put my complaint in to the BBB, Consumer Affairs and Walmart for selling there product.Just remember, Please put in your phone *22890. I put it in my phone 57 times.

  14. For 1 month I have been trying to get my phone replaced and as everyone else has said I have been getting the run around . They all tell you a different story and not one of them does what they say they are going to do. I hope that someone does file a law suit against them. I have never had such poor customer service in all my life.
    Does anyone know the number for the corporate office so that I can call there?? They will not give you a number to call anyone and it is really aggrevating.

Phone was defective (can only use on speaker) According to "Eileen" the only option is for her to send me a letter and me to send phone back. When they get the phone back I will be without a phone for 3-5 business days. So I'm reading this as I could be without a phone for weeks! Not happy and not happening!

  19. I really wish I had read these comments prior to buying a straight talk phone. I purchased the most expensive smart phone because the monthly rate was so cheap and I thought what a deal? After 2 months of service my phone was cut off and the customer service people told me it was because I was using data on my UNLIMITED plan. Wtf? They refused to ever reactivate the phone and gave me the address to send it back to in miami, fl for a refund and partial refund for unused service card. Well its been a month and still no check. I can't get anyone to give me a number where I can talk to someone in america where I actualy sent the phone to. What kind of company is this? And why is wal mart pushing their products? I think they hold responsibility as well. If anyone has that number please let me know and if anyone is considering buying a straight talk phone, run away while you can or else you'll be out $320.50 like me. If i could at least get the phone back I could sell it on ebay or something and at least get some of my money back. What a joke. What has took us over a month to get solved only took 10 minutes after calling this number...     2. I have been reading all the complaints on here about Straight Talk, I have been talking to these non speaking reps all day and have not gotten anywhere with them. Bought a straight talk phone was broken, returned it, sent us another one, just bought a card to activate, it and after 2hrs of using my prepaid phone card, they say it will take 24hrs to activate my sons phone. Please, you people in corporate, need to get your act together, and english speaking people for the U.S not from Asia, or any other country that we can't understand.. going to report them to BBB for sure. Rip of shit phone company they are for sure.Anyways, all these cell phone companys are so full of crap, it is unreal, they way they treat their customers, but Straight Talk is the worse. I bet Corporate doesn't even read all these complaints, they ignore them, we just do it get our frustration out....the end

  20. let me tell you what! i bought the e71 from straight talk i have had it since february 2nd of 2010 and since then i have had nothing but fkn problems with it! i called everyday for like 2 weeks and today i finally gave up! screw straight talk! im done with them, i would rather have a contract for 2 years then deal with these people who can't even speak english! I've spent 2 hours on the phone with Tech Support and I have to send my old phone in before I can get my replacement!? Considering the comments on here they're going to give me my new phone before I give them the old one.. I have had 2 phones in less then a year, buying them out of my own pocket...   23. I totally agree with all the comments about straight talk, THEY ARE A JOKE..... My husband has lost minutes for the past 3 months, out of 1000 minutes he has used 811 and they shut his phone off telling him he used all his minutes... Also a real funny thing is a friend used the $45.00 unlimited card and they also shut his phone off saying he was out of minutes, now tell us how that happens... And yes there really is a phone number for Miami, Fl with n american speaking person, it is (605) 640-2000. When you go back to walmart to complain they are sick of the complains as well, i think they should file a lawsuit against STRAIGHT TALK as well.

  25. I have had my phone not working do to an error from a non US citizen sending my # to ATT instead of Verizon. And for 7 days they all say it will be fixed in 24 hours. 7 days later I called back and they said it will be turned on in 24 hours. The customer service is "HORRIBLE" THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, they cant do anything, congratulations straight talk, you employed a bunch of idiots from over seas, that couldn't fight there way out of a wet paper bag.   28. I called the 800-876-5753 number and had nothing but problems for over a week. Then I finally found the 305-640-2000 number and talked to the Executive Resolution Department, and had a new phone sent to me within 15 minutes. They even sent me the phone first and allowed me to send my defective one back after I received my new one! The woman I talked to gave me the ticket number, sent me an e-mail WHILE WE WERE TALKING with her information so I could get directly back to her, and did everything I would have expected from a normal customer service number.

    While yes, in general TracPhone is kinda horrible in their service department, if you can get to the right people (and can stay polite despite your previous interactions with other representatives), they actually do really help.

  30. So yes everyone the phoes and the customer service does suck, but even with all that it is the best plan for the money. I found out that if you have a problem, keep asking for the manager, I did, they lost my phone that I sent back to them to get a replacement. It took 3 weeks but by the time I got the phone number I am about to give u I got an upgraded phone and a months free service fedex next day to me so here is that magic number 305-715-6526 :)

  34. I have been trying to buy a service card (as I have done for over 18 months)for my son. They will not update the account until I provide his esn (Phone S/N). He lives in another state. I asked several supervisors to get in there car, drive to Pakastan, and look up my account. After all, it's what they are asking me to do. I asked for several supervisors (employee numbers 40891, and 47724). Ended up going into a big circle (same people). The Miami number also appears to be in another country (english as a second language). I try Walmart coorperate..it's 50 - 50 chance of getting an english speaking american. Looks like it's my last month with straight talk.

  35. I would not recommend this service to anyone. I purchased a phone online and when the phone was received it could not be activated, they said it was a bad SIM card. They shipped me a new SIM card and still the phone could not be activated. I returned their phone and material to them and I am still waiting to get my money refunded. I have yet to speak with anyone in this company who speaks plain English. This is the sorriest excuse for a company I have ever dealt with and customer service with this company is a J O K E. DO NOT deal with this company.

  37. I was tired of Verizon Wireless so I thought I would try a StraightTalk phone. BIG MISTAKE. While I didn't have trouble with the phone, when I returned it - told I could do within 30 days - the phone arrived in their warehouse (both the US Post Office and StraightTalk verified this) but they will not send me my refund for the phone. I am in the process of writing to the Better Business Bureau and trying to find the name and address of their CEO so I can go straight to the top. This is ridiculous!! As much as I hate contracts, Verizon's customer service department is top notch. I will stick with what I know for now.

  38. I also wish I had read these comments before buying a Straighttalk phone. Like several others, I bought a phone online that doesn't work and sim cards have been replaced. Like several others, I have been unable to get any help and although I will try two other numbers posted here, I don't hold out very much hope. I have received incredibly poor customer service and when I ask to speak with a manager, I am bounced back and forth. I have also asked to speak with an American and apparently they don't exist when you call customer service. I have tried to email customer service and like many of you have gotten nothing, but a run-around. I am unbelievably unhappy with this company and can't believe they can get away with this kind of behavior. I will contact the attorney general's office, Better Business Bureau, Walmart, etc. I will not stop until I am satisfied. Oddly enough, all it would take is getting what I paid for in good working condition. Is that too much to ask? Apparently it is.     1. You are correct, i was helping my sister today, using my own phone I was on the phone for 45 minutes, their services are very,very, poor. They ben taking payments 4 times as of today, 3-2-2013 smart ass supervisor try tel tell me the card is declined however, the superiors that they have do not under, she speaks english well, I have told her the reason why they card have ten declined due to your stupid customer service people kept running my card through and took 5 payments of 49.00 She still do not understand, my bank shows all 5 transaction went through ok, gave them all the approval number. They still do nt understand..

      They hired some looser and do not understand english, Uneducated people at customer side and the supervisor sucks too..... I will report them to the BBB..

  39. I also wish I had read these comments before buying a Straighttalk phone. Like several others, I bought a phone online that doesn't work and sim cards have been replaced. Like several others, I have been unable to get any help and although I will try two other numbers posted here, I don't hold out very much hope. I have received incredibly poor customer service and when I ask to speak with a manager, I am bounced back and forth. I have also asked to speak with an American and apparently they don't exist when you call customer service. I have tried to email customer service and like many of you have gotten nothing, but a run-around. I am unbelievably unhappy with this company and can't believe they can get away with this kind of behavior. I will contact the attorney general's office, Better Business Bureau, Walmart, etc. I will not stop until I am satisfied. Oddly enough, all it would take is getting what I paid for in good working condition. Is that too much to ask? Apparently it is. (Currently, upposed to be done within next 2 days, although I was told a few hours yesterday.) Here's the kicker: finally got someone in Miami--and went to a voice mail. I'm hoping the lower cost service will be worth the nightmare of getting connected.

I bought 2 straight talk phones yesterday (october 4th 2011) i had my one of my numbers ported from at&t, the phone service sucked from straight talk,called customer support, didnt hardly understand them, they were not polite at all when i called them. i called at&t customer support and i had it ported back to at&t.I had taken the 2 phones and the $45.00 cards back to walmart, i lost $45.00 to straight talk, thats a rip-off that you cannot get all your money back from straight talk, they are getting richer on everyone from the minutes cards!!! ** do not get straight talk phone service** Why do they have customer support over seas? thats why we u.s. citizens cannot get good jobs, because of big companies hire forign people?

  43. If you don't want to pay for phone service then call straightalk. A woman from Butler PA...Lisa Campbell... was able to call straighttalk and use my wife's information to steal her phone number and monthly minutes...when we called straightalk they said there was nothing they could do...nice!

  45. I have previously dealt with Straight Talk and have experienced no problems...Guess my luck finally ran out! I bought a new phone and activated it yesterday. The system generated a phone number that is a toll call from my house phone(I got the phone so that my children could stay in contact with me while I am at college)I do not desire a charge every single time my kids call me. I spoke to customer service and explained the problem and they agreed to generate me a new number....got the same exchange issued to me again....I again explained the situation and the rep said he would generate me another number...you guessed it....same freaking exchange...I was then told that I am only allowed 3 number changes and after that I will NEVER be able to change my number again. I hung up on the "supervisor" I asked for because she kept giving me the same run around. All they kept telling me was that the phone numbers were randomly generated and they had no control over it and that this was considered a local phone number to my area.I waited a few hours and tried again...yep....got the same stupid exchange. I called the corporate number this morning and after speaking to a woman there, I was told that...yes again...that the numbers were random and this was a local call. Funny that my phone company doesn't know this. I have now called corporate again and spoken to a woman that says she will call me back, I explained the long distance call problem again and she said she will look into it. I plan on calling this company every day until I get this issue resolved. Frustration is at an all time high but determination is even higher!

  46. I have spent over WAY 200 of my minutes on hold, or dealing with problem after problem with this company just in the last 2 weeks. You call tech support and they tell you they will deal with your issue, they disconnect the call, and any action that should be taken. I am currently awaiting a return call from someone at the magic number of home office which is 305-640-2000. We'll see what happens..a class action suit is definately warranted with all the complaints seen here. They are all the same,,,,horrible customer service and no resolving of issues for our hard earned dollars they have no problem taking. Don't use this company, it will be nothing but a hassle, and you won't get good phone service either. All they have going for them is the coverage area which does no good when your phones don't work!!!

  54. I spent 3 hours on the phone because i was requesting a refund for interntional long distance calling.The first representative said he couldn't find that i had tried to use the feature. After becoming frustrated i asked to be connected to the supervisor in the refund department and he connected me to the supervisor in the customer service department. She then connected me back to a representative in the refund department who tried to be nosey before giving up and connecting me to the correct person. After being put on hold for the next hour and being told they could not find a credit card reference # she proceeded to tell me that i could not receive refunds for purchases on international long distance . . . i proceeded to tell her i needed the number for corporate . . . i called the 305 number and this very rude lady told me once again there was no history of credit transaction and that no matter who i talked to they would all say the same. Then i asked her to connect me to the manager's office and i could not leave a voicemail because the box was full. . . so i called the other number . . . .i was told that maybe my bank was just holding it . . i told her no it has been credited to the international long distance feature. . . . and she found the balance but claims she cannot find the credit card number for the purchase . STRAIGHTTALK IS FULL OF IT AND THEY ARE NOT ABOUT TO STEAL A DIME OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!

I bought 2 straight talk phones 2 days before my husband deployed 2 months ago we tryed to activate them but to activate them you need to put the phone cards on the phones. we couldnt avtivate them so i called straight talk they said the phones dont work in our area(nice) and to take them back to walmart and get our money back so we did. they refunded our money for the phones but not the cards because the cards had been strached off. well to activate the phones you need to put minutes on the phones they said we had to call straight talk so we did the first person we talked to said we could get a refund we just needed to send the cards and the receipt to them so we did but before i did we made copys of everything so we had proof. almost to months later still no refund so we called a big run around. they keep tranfering me to everyone and not one english speaking person. 2 people say they can do it then the next person says they cant. my husband is deployed and so im already stressed im so pissed. they are getting rich of people who just wanted a phone that didnt have a contract and it sounded like a good deal but that was a bunch of crap. im out of 100.00 dollars and hours of my life on the phone with a bunch of no good,lying son of ******. im so frustrated i just want to cry i dont have the extra money just to throw away and they say they cant help me. im going to talk to a lawyer and call better business bureau too. they cant get away with this im thinking about calling channel 13 news channel to so i can warn people not to buy straight talk. Im so upset

  58. I am so unbelievably fed up with Straight Talk. I was fine with my service until I decided to treat myself to an upgraded phone. I ordered a refurbished E71 thru their website and on the first day of using the phone I inevitably noticed that the screen was scrambled. I called customer service and they told me to take the battery out for a minute to reset the phone. Huh? Does removing the battery magically fix technical issues? So after two weeks of not being able to see my screen I contacted customer service again and convinced the representative that the phone was defective. This is the only phone I have so when they asked me to send the phone back, I had to go into Walmart and purchase another phone that I would use and then return as soon as I received the replacement phone. So 2 weeks later I received the replacement and I turned it on and got so excited that the screen was normal. I called Customer Service and transferred my number. So far so good! An hour later my old phone was not working and guess what? The replacement phone is still not activated and is stuck in Offline Mode. If I tried to change the mode the phone would tell me that I needed to insert the SIM card. The SIM card was already inserted!! So 6, yes six, hours later after speaking with multiple representatives they drew the conclusion that the SIM card was defective and MAYBE the phone was okay. They offered to send me a new SIM card and told me it would take 3-5 business days to receive. By this time I was on fire and could feel the flames shooting through my ears!!! All I wanted was a freaking phone that worked the way it was supposed to!!! I decided to give up on the phones they were sending me and asked the rep for a refund instead. I told her I didn't want another one of their damaged phones or SIM cards and I'd just go into the store and buy my own phone. After I demanded that they give me a refund I was transferred to another department TWICE and then finally a representative took all of my information for my refund. She told me to allow 3 weeks for the processing of the refund and this is the kicker - I had to pay to send the phone back myself!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I didn't ask them to send me a defective phone so why was I being forced to pay to send the piece of crap back??? But I was desperate for the credit and just wanted this whole experience to be over so I paid the $10 to insure it and send it back. The next day I went into Walmart, bought a brand new phone, transferred my number and YaaaaaaaaY I have a phone that works!!!! But wait, there's no happy ending - I waited the 3 weeks for my refund. Would you believe that they sent my damaged phone back to me with a letter that stated that since it had been more than 30 days since my initial purchase of the first defective phone, they could not give me a refund!!!!!!! What the freak is going on at Straight Talk????

  59. (continued) I called Customer Service and asked for managers and supervisors and directors, anybody that could explain to me why I could not get a refund. Its not my fault that they sent me multiple defective phones so why was I being penalized??? I ended up talking to Claudia in the Dispute Resolution Dept and she told me the same thing everyone else said that day - that she could not issue a refund BUT what she did say was that she could give me 2 months of phone service which still did not cover my expenses that I incurred with the purchase of the phone. I felt as if I had no choice,that this was the only compensation I would receive, so I accepted. She told me that I wouldn't have to pay another bill until February and although I was set up on Auto Pay, I would not get charged until February. Okay, great. I was thinking that maybe this saga was now over. But NOPE!!! Can someone please explain to me why my credit card was just charged yesterday for another month of service???? I called Customer Service AGAIN (I know the number by memory) and was transferred to two different people. About 45 minutes later the 2nd representative was processing my credit and guess what? He hung up on me!!! Do you think he has called back??? Heck no!!! That was over an hour ago. So guess what?? I have to call them back again!!!!! I HATE Straight Talk!!!! I'm doing like everyone else has done and I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!!!

  63. I'm a FORMER Straight Talk customer. There is only one excuse for owning a Straight Talk phone, right? It's cheap and has no contract. But....there is an alternative to Straight Talk. Check out "Page One" by calling 1-800-5502436 or Google "Page Plus Cellular" online. You still get pre-paid, cheap rates, and your minutes roll over for up to 4 months on some plans. The monthly plan that I had with Straight Talk gave me 1,000 minutes a month for $29.95. Guess what, I can get 1,200 minutes a month with Page Plus at the same rate. And, the customer service is 10,000 times better than Straight Talk. So, there is no longer any excuse whatsoever to put up with Straight Talk's horrible, awful, less than zero service. Check out Page Plus. Hey, what do you have to lose? It can't any worse than Straight Talk, can it? PS, you get the Verizon network with Page Plus, including unlimited calling to other phones on the Verison system. No contract! I switched and I'm proud.

  64. Straight Talk is your worst Nightmare. The phones usually work OK unless you have a problem, get a bad phone, need tech support, anything other than making or receiving calls. Straight Talk is like cell phone service transported back to the Dark Ages. If anything goes wrong, it will take HOURS of screaming at customer service reps who don't speak English. If they have to replace a defective phone, you will wait 1 to 2 weeks for GROUND shipment of your old phone to ST, then longer for ST to ground ship a new phone back to you--all the while you will be without phone service. The Good News is: you can get better plans, for less money, at Page Plus. And, yes, the customer service at Page Plus really is about 10,000 times better than ST. Do yourself a favor and AVOID Straight Talk if there is any way to do so. Nightmare doesn't even begin to describe it. Buy Straight Talk only if you have a death wish or are glutton for punishment. Lastly, if you try to keep (port) your existing number from ST to anyone else, expect trouble. It can be done, but it is roughly equivalent to the 1969 Apollo moon landing in terms of planning, coordination, nervous breakdowns, communications, coordination,etc. It gets ugly and it's ST holding up the works. Keep away from ST even if it means doing without a phone.

  65. When every single review of Straight Talk is negative, it should tell you something. My experience with them is beyond awful. There are no words to describe the lack of service. The basic premise for pre-paid celluar could be a great idea but ST would first have to return to the drawing board, get rid of nearly every concept it is now using, get real Customer Service, re-think all their policies, and probably partner with a whole new telephone provider who had some elementary knowledge of customer service and the ability to speak English (or Spanish, or some known language). If anyone has ever had a positive experience with Straight Talk I'd like to hear about it. I'd rather have a lifetime case of mumps than have to put with ST again.

  66. We all love to hate Straight Talk. Calling the BBB won't do any good. I'd bet my eye tooth that ST is not a member of BBB, and therefore, thumbs its nose at BBB ethics. ST is the antithesis of every principle Mal Mart was founded on. Even if Wal Mart is making a lot of money with ST, they should realize the harm it's doing to the company's image and purge themselves of it. A 4 year-old could organize a prepaid celluar program that runs better than ST. I also think it's a great concept in general. The devil is in the details. Put any intellilgent customer in charge of ST, and she could straighten it out in 30 days and make a great company out of it. That Wal Mart cannot, or will not, says much about how far they have strayed from Sam Walton's business values. ST has no shame. It's anti-customer and it doesn't care.

  67. I have ONE good thing to say about Straight Talk. You can get rid of them and never have to deal with them again. A company called "Page Plus" has the same pre-paid plans (even cheaper, actually) and decent customer service. They use the Verizon cellular network, and offer plans where minutes "roll over" for up to a year (depending on the plan). Google "Page Plus" on the web or call 1-800-550-2436. You can even activate most old Verizon cell phones without buying a new phone. If you do need a new phone, they are reasonably priced at Page One. I hope Michelle and Deanna see this. There is an alternative to ST. Get all the benefits plus decent service.

I have reported this to my local news station and begged them to air something on this company. I am to my limit with these people and I am a brand new customer literally. I hope they air something for people to stay the hell away from such crap. I am with all of y'all, someone needs to file a class action lawsuit and if I had the money I would! Unfortunately I don't have money for a lawsuit and hope that somebody somewhere will. Give these A**holes a peice of their own medicine. This is out of control and they need to be stopped at once!   75. I purchased a new Straight Talk phone as a Christmas present. Less than a week later the phone died. Numerous hours on the phone with Straight Talk have brought us no satisfaction. The company promised last Friday to have corporate call me within 24 hours. The only phone call I received was a prerecorded message asking me to refill my account. We have no plan due. Then today I decided to call them back. The last lady yelled at me that I would get no phone. Talk about poor service compounded by even worse customer service.

  76. HOURS AND HOURS of my evenings for weeks on the phone with foreign tech support and I have a suspended account and a dead phone to show for it. The minute I "upgraded" my phone to one with a sim card, they started bouncing me off of T-Mobile towers instead of Verizon (Verizon towers are what old straight talk phones used, and that's why they worked!)

  77. We have had GREAT service from Straight Talk! Left Verizon and Viaero because of unexpected "extra charges" that we did not sign up for or approve. We now have 2 phones--took us less than 1 hour last night to get it set up and have the old phone # 'ported' so the Verizon is off and Straight Talk working--1st phone took longer but they stayed on the phone with me till they got it right AND they called me back the next day to make sure it was working right!! NEVER HAD THAT WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY....less than $33 for 1000min/1000txt is AWESOME! Coverage is as good or better than previous companies. THANKS--we LIKE STRAIGHT TALK!---Kristy K

  79. I purchased a Straight Talk smartphone for my daughter and set up auto-refill to pay for the unlimited data plan.
    Three weeks ago, the data service was shut off. My daughter called them to report the internet was inaccessible, but gave up after being transferred through several non-English speaking representatives whose command of English was so poor she couldn’t understand them. She still had phone service, so she assumed they would fix the data when her service refilled.
    Straight Talk sent me a notice that they were processing the credit card payment on January 21st, and notice that they had refilled the service on January 25th. My credit card statement reports the charge went through on January 23rd. However, the phone was deactivated on the 23rd.
    When I called to find out why the phone wasn’t working, they said it had been shut off due to “excessive data use”. When I asked how somebody could use too much data on an unlimited plan, they refused to explain and said they had to question the user about her data use. I explained that would be difficult, considering she couldn’t use the phone, and was told the phone would not be turned back on until she called them and then hung up on.
    So, it was obvious that they had arbitrarily turned off her data service, with no notice to anyone, and then drafted money for the next month of service, knowing that they were not going to provide service. I think that’s called FRAUD.
    Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Every time you call, you are transferred from one representative to another and none of them speak English well enough to carry on any semblance of a functional conversation. Frankly, I suspect this is an offshore company hiding behind a Miami address. Every person I have spoken to (bar none) talks in heavily accented Indian.
    I am currently filing complaints with the FCC, the Florida State Attorney Generals Office and the Florida Public Utilities Commission. I would recommend nobody deal with this company.

  80. i have had many problems with straight talk myself... i got a new touch screen phone and gave my old slide out keyboard phone to my sister they've screwed up our phones twice once they activated my new phone with their number and the 2nd time they reactivated their phone with my number.... i was very upset to say the least and told them i wanted a refund cause this is bullshit and was then told they dont give refunds.... i mean really?? straight talk is complete and utter BULLSHIT... they have no one on their tech support that speaks english and they have no idea what they are talking about one guy kept me on the phone for 2 hours telling me to put in different codes and it still didnt work then they had to send me a new sim card between me and my sis in the past 3 weeks have been through 7 sim cards because of straight talks fuck ups... its ridiculous as soon as i get the money i will be switching companies to get away from this BS service!!!

  81. as of feb 4 they turned off my phone and give my phone number to someone else all called them why they did that they said that the service ended i did not end on the day it would end on the 25 feb. i tryed to tell them that and they said they would have to send me a new sms card and they did 6 days later and i put it in my ohone and called them to turn it back on and they did not they said i needed a news sims card i payed 50 dollors for that month of service and they wont refund my money

    But the correction I would make is this is not a U.S. company. It is a Mexican Company. America Movil in Mexico City. The US corporate office is not a separate corporation to my knowledge.

  84. I refilled my account over 19 hours ago and my phone will not work. I set up auto refill and now can not use my phone at all.
    Call the customer service number results in a message saying they are having technical difficulties and to call back later.

    So now I have 29 service days on a non working plan. Think once I get a hold of some indian overseas that I will get the one, maybe even three days of service back?

  85. I wished I would have found this web site a read all this a long time ago before my problem started 2 months ago with my account! I have bought a phone off there website and had to return it twice and they disconnected my phone i had when it got to me the second time because they had to activate my new one i got back for the 2nd time and guess what it didnt work and wouldnt activate again! So now Iam out of a phone completely and I have nothing to use and I use this phone for my business and I tried telling them and all they kept saying from what I could understand out of them was "there is nothing we can for you we will have to send you another sims card and a envelope to mail back the other phone and we will send you another one" imagine that!!!! I had to go out and by that phone and phone card while I got tired of waiting on them to send my new phone back due to me using it for my company because unlike them when you run a business and deal with the public you need to make damn sure they can reach you and can contact you for placing orders which is how I make my income but as long as I have to wait for straight talk to get there shit together I will loose all my business and have to shut down my company! I just have one more thing to say that is when you have a business that you need a customer service department for make sure you at least hire people who actually speak english so they can understand what your represenatives are saying I had no clue at all I had to get my daughter to talk to them because I couldnt tell what they were asking or saying!! Wont do this straight talk crap ever again!

  86. You know, I've had straight talk for about two years now and have had very few problems with it. I've actually found that Straight Talk's customer service is a lot better than many I've dealt with. Yes, it is true that their call center can be difficult to understand, but they at least seem to get things done eventually. I am happy with them and am intending on staying for some time. Besides, where else can you have a $45 a month iPhone4?

  87. I have had Straight Talk for a few years and never any phone or service issues. We recently got the Android (early Jan 2012) and the support problem seems to be that they are new to this business so a quick story to tell here. The battery wasn't holding a charge over the past few days. It took 4 levels of support. First level didn't do androids, second level said return the phone and we'll send a new one in 7-10 days. Told them this is not acceptable; shooting an ant with an elephant gun. Sent to third level basically said the same, so I asked for mgmt. Got management quickly...in net; they are sending a new battery, but they did give me a direct number for mgmt android support. Only problem is that it took almost 55 min total to get what I thought was the right answer. However, I will say that each person I talked to was courteous and willing to help...except they dont have the authority to go outside the box. I will see what happens next. Hope the replacement battery fixes the issues. If not tho, I have a direct line to management...probably because I told them that if I return the android, it won't be for a replacement. It will be for a refund for it and I'll take my service business elsewhere. Gee, you think that maybe hit the right chord?

  88. I just spent two hours on the phone talking to 11 different people at Straight Talk. After speaking with a "Manager" tonight, I was told that I would be refunded (after being assured in December that a refund was being processed) for the ringtone. He transferred me to "the department that could issue the refund" who proceeded to tell me that due to a change, the could not refund ringtones. My blood pressure went through the roof! My phone has been deactivated, and I would not recommend Straight Talk to anyone. They are theives and liars!

  89. I LOVE straight talk , my daughter and I switched about 5 months ago from verizon were we were getting ripped off at over 200 per month. Now we both have unlimited everything for 45 per month. NEVER had a problem with the phone not having service or being charged for things we did not have, such as before. We went from Maine to Detroit, to LA and the San Diego and then to Phili back to Maine and never had an issue. I am so glad we found this service!

  95. I had great service from straight talk for the last couple of years and all of a sudden, I started getting telemarketing calls. I called them and got my phone number changed and the next day....started getting more telemarketing calls. They have either sold their customers numbers of have had a security breach. I strongly suspect the first. It's really sad. I've been totally screwed over and treated like crap by every other phone company and used to speak very highly of straight talk. Now, I'll be going without a phone for a while until a company with some ethics and US based support gets into the game.

They have the very worst customer service I have ever experienced, in fact, it's a joke to call what they have CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's far from that!! I used to be a StraightTalk customer. I would get a headache just thinking about calling their customer service. I am with AT&T now. They are not perfect, I know. But, guess what? But there tech support is the worst. They run you in circles and you never get anywhere. Also be careful they do share your personal information with others. They did it to me. When you ask for a legal department you get the same customer service people you just spoke with. Im saving my money to get as far away from this company as possible.

    I tried to upgrade my phone and it has been nothing but a living hell and it could take up to 72 hours to fix but 2 days ago it could take up to 24hour to fix and yesterday it could take 24 to 48 hours to fix. This is so unreal.

  103. Bought a straight talk phon e the new one ANDROID. Also bought replacement plan at Walmart. On 4-21-12 sent back to straight talk VIA Fed ex, Receive a slip from pkg from the Fed Ex return label. Well Fed Ex says they cant find where I gave it to them tracking Number wrong.Mgr at Fed Ex gave me a print out. Have called stright talj about 7 times cant get a straight answer, yes I agree U get the Phillipines who cant speak English. Have called Fed Ex about seven times, They say no record of pkg. I've worked customer service for over 40 yrs. I know it can be backed tracked as of yet no results.Am going to complain to WALMART see what happens. I want my money back since this is a product they sell You should always keep customers happy.People should boycott Walmart, let the others "U KNOW WHT I MEAN" buy there. I called my number and a guy answered and had the nerves to text me to stop calling him. I felt very violated and call straight talk and they didnt seem to care.   110. I feel sick after reading all these comments. Spent all afternoon trying to resolve an order that was never completed due to a problem with my computer, YET they charged me. I had already placed another order which I wanted cancelled. Was told they couldn't do this. I would have to return phone when it arrived, then wait for refund. As for the first order, she said they couldn't find it...well it's in the process of being deducted from my account even though she can't find it. Now I'm really nervous that I am out $185!

  111. If only I had seen these comments before getting Straighttalk. And to think I just wanted to save $15 extra a month by switching from Verizon. Straighttalk billed both my credit cards (two different ones) in April and May and actually have the nerve to save they did not. I have filed a complaint with my Discover Card to help get a credit but so far nothing. Thankfully I have the backup. The service is terrible and when they call to talk about the billing issue you can barely make out what they are saying and that's from their phone to my house phone. That's how bad the service is. I will file a complaint with BBB. My amount lost so far is $62.00 give or take change. Do not ever let this company have information on two credit cards!!!!

This company sucks!!!Every time I call they give me the run around and tell me I have to call back tomorrow and I do then they tell me I have to wait 1 month and call back to enroll in the automatic refill. NONE of them speak english and it is irratating as all hell to try and understand them. I have only had them a month and can't stand them....I advise who ever is thinking of switching DON'T!!!!

They sent a replacement phone and i had to wait 18 days for it cause they said they lost it, then i have only had this replacement phone for 11 days and it is messing up, So i called them and they was being so rude & i could not understand a thing they was saying!!! I was getting so mad, I need my phone for schooling and work, I dont have the time to call them all the time telling them whats wrong with my phone and them tell me my phone is okay ummm they are not using this damn phone i am!!! I tried to get ahold of the CEO but he wouldnt take my phone call so im gonna drive my happy ass to there head quarters and talk to him in person & i live in Indiana so its gonna be a long drive!!   118. Don't lose money to them. Don't ask for or rely on refunds, go immediately to your credit card company or bank and file for fraudulent charges. They will take your money back from these lying pile of human excrament. If enough do that, tye will run into problems with the credit card companies. Then, forget the BBB, they do nothing but file reports. Immediately also call the FCC, they are who regulates these crooks.

  121. All my friends have straight talk and they love it. So I dropped my verizon and bought a phone on line. Put in my zip and they had a phone I like so I ordered it from Walmart. The time was an hour off where I live by if I drove 40 miles south to the next city (in the same State) it would switch to the right time. I took it back to my local Walmart and they said they don't even sell that phone because it uses AT&T which does not work in the rural area I live in. The new phone uses Verizon. When I activated the new phone with my phone number I could not make or receive calls. I was on the phone for several days and MANY hours talking to Many people I could not understand. I finally told them to transfer me to the United States and was given the run around until I threatened to contact the FAA. It is the LAW that they transfer you. the gal I finally got to talk to went through the same process but only once. She said she would have to contact Verizon but they are closed on Sunday. It should be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. I would NOT recommend these phone.

  123. I AM AN IDIOT! I should have read these posts BEFORE I bought a mint condition iPhone4 and signed up for Straight Talk. I had been with ATT for almost 20 years, so they unlocked my phone with no questions asked. Straight Talk was able to port my number within 30 minutes of the SIMM install, so I thought "Wow, that was easy". It turns out that was the beginning of my NIGHTMARE! A total waste of the $79 I spent getting the SIMM overnighted and 1 month of service. STRAIGHT TALK HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY COMPANY ON THE PLANET. Every call I have made ended in me being told it was all my fault! The very first guy I spoke to in India told my I had to jailbreak my phone to use the data plan! Imagine that! My data plan and voicemail NEVER worked. Not ever the Apple store could get the data to work using the APN seting in the Straight Talk booklet. I just called ATT and I am joining my wife's family plan. I only hope Straight Talk will release my number.

  125. I have been trying to get a micro simm card activated for over a week. I get the same excuses, its a problem with your previous carrier. Yet when I call the previous carrier, they say no issue and have been waiting for the port request.
    Same story every time I call.
    The worst part is we have 2 lines ported before with no isues. I have a feeling I'm in for a long road

  130. A friend of mine suggested that I should switch my service provider to straightalk. I went online and ordered a sim card and a one-month airtime; however, when I received the package, I realized that it was a wrong type of sim card, the sim didn't fit in my phone i.e., I bought the micro sim instead of the regular one. I called customer service to try to exchange....what I was told that I couldn't get neither exchange, nor a refund due to what is called 'a company's policy'. The person wasn't helpful and had nothing to say other than saying it is a company's policy. I asked for the manager, the manager wasn't helpful either, instead, what she kept telling me in a broken english was this policy was on their website and I must buy a new sim card. She didn't show any consideration as to how to fix the problem and save a customer to the company. This is a scam. I have never come across a company in this country with no return or exchange policy. I tried to contact the corporate office, the email and phone no. listed on the website is the same one as the local customer service offices. This company sucks and it doesn't seem to be having a legitmate office here in U.S. When you call the customer service, someone from Asia will answer the phone, and there is no help. It is a ficticious company. I woudln't recommend anyone to consider this company. I lost my 58.99 for nothing.

    THIS IS THE WORST PHONE EVER, AND THE MOST HORRIFIC EXCUSE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. TWO PHONES, COUNTLESS HOURS ON THE PHONE, FOUR VISITS TO WAL-MART, AND MY BUSINESS PHONE HAS NOT BEEN WORKING FOR 3 WEEKS.

    I'M FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB, GETTING BACK ON VERIZON, AND SENDING A LETTER TO THE CEO (IF I CAN FIND HIM).

    IF ANYONE WANTS TO FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY, I'M ON BOARD. SOMEONE PLEASE GET IT STARTED.

  135. I agree the customer service from overseas is difficult. I had better luck calling Miami. Walmart won't help you. But considering the millions of phones they sell and service this is not that many complaints. No more than Apple which is supposed to have great service. Tracphone is Mexican owned, so they aren't stealing American jobs. Its not an American company. Over several years I have had good luck with them. I have a shipping problem right now and Miami has taken care of it. Even if this issue turns out to be a pain, over three years the $4-6000 I have saved is still worth it. Others may find resolving a problem not worth that much money but I do.

Horrible customer service - numerous issues with billing my credit card, numerous issues with not fixing recurring issues, they do not like to be responsible for errors that they make including replacing equipment or refunding for service that you were unable to use. Most recently and most deplorably after refilling, this company has incessantly texted me to call their customer service line to complete a transaction that customer service cannot figure out what it is. They are hard to understand and repeat the same mantras over and over like "can I put you on hold while I work on your issue?" but they ask every 2 minutes and you will be on hold longer than 30 minutes each time and my issue has not been fixed. I am being texted every 3 seconds and have received over 300 texts since Wednesday. The new texts are saying they are still from Wednesday - many of them have the same time as each other and they are clearly being sent at a rate of 10 per minute. Customer service has proven useless and email has not responded to my complaints but when I use their claim number to track status their system says that claim number doesn't exist. This is a great company to avoid unless you only need a phone for a couple of months at which time you hopefully won't have problems requiring service. Beyond that they are a hassle, and I haven't even gotten into the other issues. I too am on board of anyone wants to file a class action suit.

  137. Ive decided not to go after a company thats nothing but a waste of skin That being Straight Talk. I've decided to go after Wal-mart corporate level they sell their product and also the State Attourney General's office to see if there is a case for thieft as they will not refund the monies spent. I will work until this company is out of busines This worthless company has allowed my wifes account to be stolen twice and the non english speaking so called help is useless. They won't refund the remainder of what she paid 3 months in advance but they would not give her the number she has had for over a year and a half.

I'd throught Straight talk was the better plan,I brought Straight talk about 1 yr ago NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL NOW, THEY billed me 7days eairly and I'd called them i was told that I'd would get my REFUND , NEVER GOT It! and billed again 7days later! I'm beginnning to Hate STRAIGHT TALK ! they DON'T KEEP THEIR WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I accidentally bought a $30 wireless home phone card and scratched off the pin coating before realizing it wasnt a wireless cell phone one.Called the Phillipine 1-877 number and talked to a lady who transferred me to her manager.He informed me that he could make it good for only 15 days.What the fk is up with that?I had to give him the pin off the card and he put the 15 days on my phone and could have easily put the 30 on there which I paid for but know to screw me over right to my face.

  142. i personally haven't yet had any big problem with my phones or my plans from straight talk... my other complaints however are this:
    1. calling the toll-free # is about as annoying as calling 411. i can't understand them & they can't understand me. none of the "representatives" have ANY clue about anything except what is written on whatever paper or screen they have in front of them. & from the sounds of it, 1/2 of them can't really read english.
    2. calling 411 from a straight talk phone is pretty much like calling customer service... the automated system can't understand english either so IF you can get the # you're looking for, it's gonna take about 10min & 1900 head beats against the wall.
    3. last i checked, the sim cards in the phones are also useless. can't even switch them bewteen the same model phones. i was a tad peeved to find that out from them.
    4. my biggest issue is current & sort of not even mine... a good friend of mine is living in al & just got a new "smart phone" from straight talk for xmas. apparently, the only ppl who can call or text him now are ppl in the area. everyone else goes straight to vm. & he can't even set/check his vm with the new phone. when he tried for 3 days to get ahold of anyone who could tell him anything useful, he found out that since his 2 phones are from different companies(straight talk is actually just a "middleman" & apparently even using your phone is actually thru that company's service) he now has to wait for the 1st company to let go of his "file" in order for the new phone to fully activate. however, i have another friend who is also on a month-month deal & we can only text eachother & i can call him, but he can't call me. from what his company told him, it's because some service providers just aren't compatible with eachother when it comes to pay-as-u-go... point is, we have to just wait for however long for his phone to be fully active to even SEE if i'll be able to call/text w/him again wih the new phone. i have a feeling it's not gonna work & this is someone i'm used to talking to almost daily for nearly 10yrs:(

  143. I had a problem with schedule and called straight talk support.
    The customer support that I talked to was not a English speaking person that I could understand. They sounded like they were from India and talked so fast I finally handed the phone to my wife thinking I was the probably the problem. after over an hour my wife could not understand the customer service rep. and ask to speak to a supervisor. They said to hold and they would connect us to a supervisor. We were on hold for over and hour and a half gave up waiting and hung up.
    Please hire some one that speaks a English that we Americans can understand.

Have been on another phone on hold for 1hour and 15 minutes. when i try to use my phone they say been deactivated. can anyone help

    WHY IT TAKES TOO LONG TO CONNECT TO A LIVE REPRESENTATIVE? There's a lot of callers calling and the first caller on queue is the one who will be served first.
    WHY IS IT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE DO NOT UNDERSTAND MY SITUATION? One reason is that, the issue is just simple, however, the way you explains it makes it complicated for us. Give your reason direct to the point. Remember that we are on a different time zones and we are working early in the morning and we are receiving calls after calls and different issues.
    WHY ARE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES TALKS LIKE SOMEONE FROM INDIA? Nu-uh, We don't have sites in India. We only have sites in Colombia, Guyana, Honduras, USA and Philippines.
    CUSTOMER SERVICE DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING? Actually, we know. But there are some call guidelines that we need to follow or else we will be terminated. We will lose the job. We know how to fix it, but if you are not on that level/tier yet, you cannot do it. You don't know how heart-breaking it is for us to leave the customer unsatisfied even though we know at the back of our heads that we can fix it. We are torn between two scenarios.

  149. i am a long time customer of straight talk, i have never had issues till NOW, and i think they will be loosing me and my family as customers. they lie cheat and steal for there customers and i dont like any of it. they are getting worse and worse as the months go by and i am tired of the headache. i was told i cold call corp office to receive help and all i got was a run around and then put in writing...its bull and once i would have told ppl to change to straight talk but NO longer

  150. Wow I wished I looked this prior to switching over to straight talk. I took am being taken by this Greedy company. Purchased a SIM Card and activated online and put my info in just as the website instructed so i could keep the number i had for years. After talking to a person that spoke broken english and having to be on the phone for 45 minutes tell me to hold every 2 min to tell me to wait he is opening his tools. Just for him to tell me he cant do anything that he will send me a replacement SIM Card. Which also took 10 days to recieve. He also told me when i recieved my replacement sim card that i would have to call to have the number switched. Well I called and after being on hold now over an hour. I know an hour is excessive time to wait but I paid for services that the only service they provide is garbage.

    On March 20 I called Straighttalk to have my sim card activated and have my phone number transferred from AT&T to my new Straighttalk account. The straighttalk associate activated my sim card and charged my credit card for the 45.00 dollar a month plan and told me when my current phone stopped working then I could put the straighttalk sim card in it and it would work fine. Well about 4 hours later my phone stopped working and I put the straightalk sim card in it, only to find my iphone was not working at all. I called straighttalk again and was told that the sim card they had activated was a TMobile sim not an AT&T sim and would not work in my phone. If I had known this before they activated the sim I would not have had it activated only to have a non working phone. I would like my 45.00 dollars back for the month of service that I cannot use. I feel as if the associate should have informed me of what kind of sim it was before she activated it and charged my card. Straighttalk customer service associates are rude and not helpful at all.

    I placed an order on 4/2/13 for a sim card, paid 59.99 for the sim+service then the 14.95 overnight shipping and of course tax which came out to 77.47 $

    Its now 4/5/13 and my order still says (in progress) .... the story is, well ma'am you paid for ground shipping, I don't see overnight. Which is funny to me because the email they sent me CLEARLY says over freakin night at 14.95 $ .... I paid for it because I begin a truck driving job sat 4/6 and needed a better phone then my flip one I was using in place of my vzw one since my son broke it. . . Figured I'd just throw a sim card into one of my many unlocked phones and be set for the road

    Ha!!!! WHAT A DAMN JOKE ..... I CANT TAKE THIS BULLSHIT COMPANY....
    I leave soon and will have no phone service except my little throw away emergancy phone.

    Don't be fooled. This company issues no apologies nor refunds. I suggest paying for good service with any other company. Hell I'd take crappy service vs this hell im dealing with.

  153. I called in this month to add minutes, and 1st she changes my number w/o telling me. Then after 2 days, I finally find someone who can restore my number. A few days later, i find out that the original girl had double charged me. good luck ever getting that money back because all i get is transferred to a dept that says they are busy and call back later.

I have some very important situations and people connected to me through that phone number and it's just gone. Sorry for whoever gets that number because they will be getting lots of phone calls from lots of people.

  155. I am submitti g a claim to the attorney generals office. We got this pho for my disabled and very close friend, and they cut his service calls and data bc he was using too much of the stuff. Now they say on the box that its unlimited everything he uses this pho for drs who r long distance and data to get on and submit refills for his medications. We called 800 njmber listed and they told us thimgs r subject to change without notice ! Asked for the cooporate number and we get the run around call the number we finally got from them and its another customer service line ! Wtf people? Wasted over 100 dollars for them to pull this crap. I see a huge lawsuit comming after i write the letter to attorney general. Anyone reading this submit your claim as well to them plz !

  157. In brief- they charged my account 2 times without an authorization to do so. When I requested a refund, they fought me on it and then forgot to disconnect my service. I reminded them 2 times they needed to disconnect my service but they didn't do so until a month later. After it disconnected, I bought a service card to refill my service and they told me that I could not do so until I paid for the previous month that they forgot to connect my service for. That means I had to buy TWO service cards. After fighting with them, I agreed and when I called to have the 1st card applied to the "past balance", they "accidentally" applied MY minutes to another person's account. When I told them what they did, they refused to give me a refund. They said they could not verify that I actually bought the minutes. They could not verify that they made a mistake. I told them I could send them the receipts AND the service cards. Finally they agreed they made a mistake but there was nothing they could do because the service was used. The guy I talked to said, "If you go ahead and buy the 2nd service card, I can go ahead and fully reactivate your account- Don't worry. I can authorize it because I am a manager and I guarantee this will work out for you." Finally after 10 mins of me expressing that I didn't trust them, I went in walmart and bought another card. The guy tried applying the 2nd card to my account and said "Sorry ma'am. I wan unable to get it approved". I was livid. He let me speak to his Sr. Manager who said "There is nothing we can you. You have to go buy a 3rd card" I refused to. He said, "Fine, I will give you this deal. You buy another service card and I will add 2 months of service to your account. Ma'am, I GUARANTEE that this will work. I am a SR manager and I can authorize it." I told him he was lying. Finally I talked to the previous guy and I told him what the Sr manager told me and he said, "Actually, ma'am, we would have to get that approved, but go ahead and buy a 3rd card and once we get your account current, we can give you a 1 time courtesy for your troubles." I was SO done at that point. Straight Talk is a joke. They out source their work to the Philippines and you speak with men named EDWARD who have poor English. I was on the phone for 3 1/2 hrs. I am against American businesses outsourcing their work to international countries so they can save money. We need jobs here..... and yes- that was in brief.

  158. My parents'phones and my phone have the same problem. After fighting with customer service for nearly half an hour the girl I am speaking with keeps repeating the same statement. She asked me to do a hard reset even AFTER I told her it would not solve the problem. After I did it she tells me to call back in 24 HOURS if the problem persists. For them to do what????!!! When I ask to speak with a manager she puts me on hold for an hour. I keep asking him the same thing. If my phone and their phones are having the same problem how can you say this one specific problem is because of one thing when it CLEARLY does not apply to the aspect of the situation. Then on top of that I ask for corporate's number. He lies and when I call him on it he tries to tell me that I don't know what I am talking about. If only these people knew how close they came to being unconscious if I could just reach through the phone. Anyone have Frederick J Pollak's email? I am TRULY sick of all the bull and believe that the CEO should know what is going on with his company. I am SERIOUSLY going to another company!!!!

  160. well look's like we are all fucked becouse straight talk doe's not have a manager that you can talk to.they say they do but when u ask to talk to one they say they helping someone else.i stayed on the phone for over 4 hr's wanting to talk to one but all they wanna say is they helping someone else.i.v talked to an att and we do have a lawsuite and it's called fraud.if everyone would contact there att and get something started we can close straight talk down and they will not screw anyone else.
